Less than impressed. The food was good, but there were so many other things that did not make this experience worth it. My mom had been in contact via Instagram as they required reservations for a party of 6 or more. After some back and forth, we secured a reservation for my husband, two kids and my parents. We followed the recommendation of ordering according to the menu, small pasta portions, but chicken large enough to share. My kids are young, 4 and 6, so they don't eat a ton. We ordered a couple starters, two salads, a chicken dish to share and 3 pastas. My dad decided to order a fourth last minute as he saw the portion sizes were small. When the food arrived we were shocked as to how large the portions were. Long story short, they had us ordering from the family style menu, not ever mentioning to us that was the case. They nonchalantly left us with a $500 tab and not once mentioned how much food we were ordering or that we might not need that fourth dish because there was a lot already ordered. And really, it was only 4 adults, my kids eat very little. We spoke with the manager and he said, oh well I sent you the family style menu when we talked online. That was not the case and my mom went back through her messages to prove it. The manager did discount the bill slightly, but by no means made the situation right. Another reason I'll not be going back to this restaurant was the extremely loud music with vulgar profanity. We mentioned this to the manager on our way out and he said, yeah we've received that feedback before, but didn't really care. I guess they don't want to welcome families or many other groups that wouldn't appreciate that environment. The restaurant's don't give a rats attitude and rules about dining and eating will not get them very far. Lastly, we tried to resolve this with the restaurant as they requested before posting a review, but that got us nowhere. With all the great restaurants in Phoenix, this one I would skip entirely. This place is smaller and quaint. So show up on non busy times if you want to avoid a long wait. There are no modifications of any kind. So if you're gonna need that, don't show up and write a dumb review complaining about it. If you don't like it, simply don't come and open up your own restaurant where you can do what you want. Literally forget about it, this is the best place for pasta, ever. Let me first say though, the Caesar Salad should have you guys put in the food hall of fame. I live in close proximity to this restaurant and am impressed that this place has full dining room, bar and patio every time I walk by. The two previous businesses ended up leaving. I don't eat much pasta at all, but I do get a craving every now and then. I know they rep al dente or die but my pasta was hard and VERY crunchy on the inside. Sauce was good but I had to request an extra side because it wasn't quite enough for the portion of noods they gave which is okay but also had to cover for the pasta. Service was slow per usual on busy Friday night, music was bumpin but to the point I could barely hear my date (awkward for a first date) but we went to an ice cream shop near by and were able to talk quite a bit there with a calmer atmosphere. The menu may seem simple but the flavor is far from. My partner got the rigatoni and I got the gnocchi. WOW. Both of them are so good and we cleared the plates! Not pictured was their Saint Caesar salad and it was also just as delicious. Short: This place is okay. I would recommend trying it but ultimately think it's overpriced. Long: Portion size is small. For $26 my pasta better taste absolutely amazing but it was just okay. I'm sorry but peas in the vodka sauce did not go well. I thought I would be able to eat around them but they are huge. I definitely recommend the garlic and oil pasta. It's a unique dish more on the mild side of taste but not in a bad way. It would be perfect with a touch of parmesean cheese. Fresh parmesean cheese to be exact. As someone with serious food allergies, I have dined out extensively and never encountered a restaurant so rigid and unwilling to accommodate even the most basic dietary needs. When I explained my allergies (milk and cheese), I was met not with concern or an attempt to help, but with a flat, unapologetic no. They would not modify anything -- not even something as simple as omitting a sprinkle of Parmesan on a plate of plain spaghetti pomodoro. It wasn't about complexity or kitchen logistics -- it felt like a deliberate refusal to care. In a time when food allergies and dietary restrictions are widely understood, it's shocking to see a restaurant so inflexible, especially when the adjustments requested were minimal and would have made a world of difference. Saint Pasta made it clear: if you don't fit into their narrow menu exactly as written, you simply aren't welcome to eat here. I'm deeply disappointed. Hospitality should be about making people feel taken care of -- not excluded. This place is definitely not saintly.....and way to pretentious.
