    Cast-iron Focaccia
    Francheska J.

Came here for AZ restaurant week, and left SO happy and full. $55 pre-fix menu, and i ended up ordering ala carte items on the regular menu because i couldnt say no to clams! The drinks are strong, vibes are right, and service is great. They were able to accommodate us rescheduling our reservation a couple times and we were so thankful for their flexibility. The food didn't take long, and WOW was it good!!! I did get the brown butter focaccia for the table and it was a huge hit. It was served in cast iron, and the lob of butter on top was perfectly browned. We thoroughly enjoyed this as an appetizer (definitely good to share between 4-6 people). The clams were too good. I've been looking for a great white wine based clam dish in Phoenix and this really hit the spot! I can't believe i finished every single one. We were very satisfied with our meal, and i think the price was well-worth it! Definitely will be back, I need to try those lunch sandwiches!

    Brick Chicken Marsala

First time here and definitely not the last! Was only in town for a night and this restaurant looked very promising on Yelp, decided to dine here and did not regret one bit. The food, service, and ambiance is impeccable! Sat at the bar because we came in through the back entrance accidentally, and it was first come first serve like anywhere else. Didn't get the name of the servers/bartenders but they made sure I was well taken care of with quick water refills. Started off with the burrata salad that came with strawberries and focaccia bread. Pro tip is to cut the bread in half and pile in the salad to make a small sandwich. Next, I had the brick chicken Marsala, which comes with a breast and thigh on a bed of mash potatoes and Marsala mushroom sauce. Dish was divine, the thigh was a little under, but service was top notch and replaced the dish entirely with a brand new one cooked to perfection. Ended the meal with the seasonal creme; a vanilla custard with rhubarb and tarragon, absolutely delish! Highly recommend!

    Lenny Bernstein Strawberry fields drink

Once again, First & Last has been nothing less than spectacular. My friend and I stopped by for lunch on Sunday and had to wait in a tiny line before we got to order. I wanted a fun drink so I got the strawberry fields which was so refreshing on that hot day. I also got the Lenny Bernstein sandwich which had the perfect level of spice between the soft focaccia bread. We sat downstairs and while it was busy, the noise wasn't distracting. I brought half of it home because it was so filling. I still have yet to try their dinner menu, but lunch here is just fabulous!

Came here to celebrate my 22nd birthday with a group of friends and had a great experience overall. We were able to make a reservation easily, and the space itself was beautiful--clean, well-designed, and had a great music vibe. The service really stood out. While the gluten-free options were a bit limited for one of my friends, the staff went above and beyond by offering an extra glass of wine when they ran out of the orzo she planned to order. They also surprised our table with champagne and gave me a personalized birthday card, which made the night feel extra special. The food was excellent with generous portions. Definitely a spot I'd recommend for celebrations.

5 stars all around - lived up to the hype, secret is to sit at the bar if a seat is open as it's full service at the bar. Ray, bartender, was super friendly. I got the bob sacamono, one of my favorite sandwiches I've ever had. Also had 2 passionfruit margaritas. Will be back so pumped I finally tried this place. Highly recommend.

    Little Jerry
    Tiana E.

Went here for lunch for the first time. The mango lemonade was delicious and the sandwiches were large! We enjoyed the little Jerry a lot. My partner didn't love the maestro - he didn't realize it was a cold sandwich and thought it'd be hot. I enjoyed it but I didn't think it was the best sandwich I've ever had. We also tried to pizza slice of the day which was a unique one - we liked that too. We got there at 11 when they opened and there was already a line! But it moved quickly. Overall definitely worth trying out

I came on a Sunday morning and waited about 15 minutes. There was a constant line, which made me excited to try it as I was visiting from out of town. I ordered the Little Jerry, and I can see why it's so popular on social media. As a Parmesan lover, it was perfect. The sandwich was packed with sauce and flavor. It's basically a pizza in sandwich form, with a pesto like green sauce and a delicious chicken cutlet. My boyfriend ordered the Jack Klompus, but compared to the Little Jerry, it lacked flavor. Overall, I'd still recommend it! The setup is mostly self serve, with food brought out to your table. Also, music was great!

Everything I had for arizona restaurant week was really good! I'm unfortunately not the biggest fan of pasta, but it was so good that I was like... hmm... maybe some pasta is ok. The seasonal creme I could do without tbh.

My friend and I loveeee First & Last! It is our go to spot when we are downtown and it never disappoints. The vibe inside is always amazing and they play the best music. Our server was great - she kept my diet cokes full and was very kind! To eat we started with the oysters which came with a little hot sauce dropper (amazing). I ordered the cast iron baked focaccia which was to die for!! I also got the seasonal burrata which was delicious. My friend ordered the pork loin which was soooo tasty as well. Perfectly cooked! This place never lets us down and I can't recommend it enough!

Walked in from the back of the restaurant and saw the restroom first. The communal sink area at least got me thinking wow this is different. It's a cool ambiance with a boho style interior with seating areas downstairs and a small upstairs area. The Little Jerry is as good as it looks if you love cheese. There are quite a few interesting cocktails here as well if I recall, but it was too early for that when I went.

We were a group of 4 that came in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly busy. Three of us ordered sandwiches and one friend ordered a chicken Caesar salad. I ordered the the following sandwich: ROCHELLE, ROCHELLE / $21 copper ranch grilled steak, crispy onions, caramelized onions, smoked gouda cheese wiz + soda The sandwich was really good and one of a kind. It was flavorful, full of meat, and the bread was fresh. The sandwich was very juicy, therefore it got to be a little messy after a few bites so be preparedddd. Service was good as the interaction with the employees was small. Our table was dirty when we sat down. The inside is welcoming!

wow. wowowowowow. i got to try so many dishes because we went as a friend group and i didn't try a single dish i didn't like. perfect ambience. i also had to move our reservation twice because i was at work and the staff were so kind about it. 10/10 would go back.

Little Jerry sandwich and Maiden Voyage (mezcal based) drink - both are excellent!
    Vivian H.

This is a great spot in the Roosevelt Row area and believe the hype when people tell you this place is good. A friend came into town (he knows his food) and I decided to take him here for lunch and we both enjoyed the experience. The place is gorgeous, well decorated, has a mature and elegant vibe that is inviting. Funny enough both my friend and I ordered the exact same items which included the Little Jerry sandwich and Maiden Voyage (mezcal based) drink. For lunch, there isn't full sit down service, you order at the register, take a number and then food is brought out to you. Service is great here! I can say both the sandwich and cocktail were amazing! The Maiden Voyage cocktail also has a special in that $2 of the proceeds go to St Mary's Food Bank. I appreciate that this business cares about the community. The few gripes are that parking is a situation around here. There is a covered lot right behind the restaurant but spaces can be limited there. My friend and I both also felt the prices were a bit high and can't seem to justify $19 for a sandwich. My total with tax and tip for lunch came to almost $50! And, the bathroom seemed to always be occupied, so that was a bit of an annoyance. So, I deducted one star for those concerns. I'd come back again but honestly this is one of those places that would be a once or twice a year kind of place for me. But, it's lovely! Perfect place to impress and out of towner too! Give it a try!

It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
