We had a great meal and time! I got the Dan Dan noodles and my friend got the Italian focaccia and we both loved! Drinks were so yummy and service was great as well! The menu all looked delicious so we will have to come back and try more
I went to Phoenix last week for a conference, but if I'm being truthful, a big part of the trip was really about catching up with friends. I scored a free ticket; I can fly pretty cheaply thanks to my wife's flight benefits, so why not? Since I wasn't even sure I was going until a few days before, I hadn't RSVP'd for any of the usual conference dinners or after-hours events. My original plan was pretty simple. Hang out at the hotel, grab something at the bar, relax. Then the opportunity came up to have dinner with two good friends I hadn't seen in more than a year. Conference event? Or actual quality time with friends? Easy decision. We headed over to Industry Standard. One of my friends had wisely made a reservation online, which definitely helped. We were seated right away, although shortly after sitting down we learned they needed our table/section for a larger group. No biggie. We moved and carried on. Our server got drinks going quickly. I stuck with water, while one of my friends had the Pretty In Peach cocktail and gave it the thumbs-up. The menu looked really good. Two of us went with the Poke Bowl, while the odd woman out ordered the Caesar Salad with chicken. Sounds pretty basic, right? Apparently not. She said it was really, really good. She also ordered the Confit Tomatoes as an appetizer. Funny enough, those arrived a few minutes after our entrées because there was apparently a little confusion about whether they were an appetizer or part of someone's meal. Again, not a big deal. We were there to catch up, not run a stopwatch. As for my poke bowl, I'll admit I was slightly concerned about the portion size. Poke bowls can sometimes fall into that "small bowl, big price" category. Not here. It was a surprisingly large portion, very tasty, and had a nice little bit of spice to it. Definitely exceeded expectations. And because apparently dinner wasn't enough, we finished by sharing the cookie skillet with ice cream. Solid decision. Very good. Service throughout the night was excellent, although I unfortunately can't remember our server's name. Sorry, my dude. You did a great job! The restaurant itself is fairly small inside, although they do have outdoor seating. Of course, when it's roughly 110 degrees in Phoenix in August, eating outside isn't really my thing. So if you're planning to go and want to sit indoors, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Good food, great service, and even better company. In the end, skipping the big conference after-hours scene for a relaxed dinner with old friends was absolutely the right call.
As in my past reviews, the food here is impeccable. This time I tried the halibut plate again, and once again, it did not disappoint. The portion was generous enough for me to take some home, and the asparagus was a perfect complement to the halibut and risotto. Shout out to Lady's! If you are looking for a great place to enjoy good food, good drinks, and good conversation, Tuesday Wendsdays Ladies' Night is the place to be. It is a perfect way to break up the middle of the week with girlfriends. Let's face it, caviar, champagne, or a martini is not a bad way to start a meal. For the price and quality, you really can't go wrong. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere is hospitable, and the vibe is cool, low-key, and relaxed. I also appreciate that there are no TVs, which definitely leads to better conversations. Once again, highest reviews from me.
A fun little place. However parking prices are outrageous. Take some time and drive around. Parking on site is expensive. Diverse menu, for food and cocktails. There were 8 of us. One person did not like their cocktail everyone else loved them. Had the steak bowl. Cooked perfectly. Yum! Medium rare with a wonderful sauce. Rice cooked perfectly. Other dishes were all loved. Great service. Very enjoyable.
The food here was really good, they have a lot of happy hour menu items for different days of the week, like "girl dinner" and "boy dinner". Their cocktail menu is really fun too if that's what you're looking for, definitely a fun place to drink. It's got a dark vibe interior and was pretty lively. The parking lot behind is $23 minimum so make sure to look for street parking when you're driving in. We ordered a few things but my favorite was probably the ceviche or the Caesar, both were well dressed and I kept reaching for them. Honestly, all the food here was really great and came out so quick I was very happy. Unfortunately I ordered a Diet Coke that never came, but to be fair I did it after everyone had already gotten their drinks, and the server wasn't ready to write it down. Something that really bothered us though was when we asked the server if they do anything for birthdays and they said yes. We received two different desserts and were really happy until we got the bill and realized we were charged for one of them. We would've been fine without dessert and definitely didn't ask them to bring out two, so that was a little upsetting.
Went here late for a bite before heading home after a night out downtown. Surpassed expectations for a late night bite. The pasta had a nice kick and wonderful flavor and the breadcrumbs gave the dish lovely texture. For the tomatoes I might've preferred them chopped down a bit but the freshness and flavor were excellent. Our waitress was wonderful and energetic and attentive. Good vibes and would definitely recommend!
GIRL DINNER. That's it. $25 for a martini or glass of champagne + caviar + caesar salad + spicy vodka pasta. Only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5-10pm! So I've been here twice within the last two months for girl dinner because it is such a good deal. The meal is tasty also! It's the perfect meal with perfect portions. One main thing about girl dinner is a lack of protein, but I feel like I could definitely add chicken to my salad. Ultimately, it's a cool spot and the workers are always so pleasant!
I have been to Industry Standard twice now, and it is safe to say I am totally hooked. My first visit was on a Wednesday night to try their "Girl Dinner" special, which comes with a caviar chip bump, a Caesar salad, pasta, and a glass of Prosecco all for $25. They do enforce a 90-minute time limit for the table, but that was honestly plenty of time for my friends and me to chat, enjoy our food, and have a great time. I loved it so much that I recommended it for a Saturday night dinner with another girlfriend just recently. The food here is absolutely great and the drinks are fantastic. I ordered this Ube piña colada drink that I honestly have not stopped thinking about since, and the pasta is really good too. The overall vibe of the restaurant is very cute and unique, making it the perfect spot for a girls' night out. The only downside to the whole experience is that the parking situation is terrible, so you definitely want to plan ahead for that. However, the excellent food, great drinks, and amazing atmosphere make it completely worth it. I will definitely be back.
This place was great! Comfortable chairs, comfortable tables nice ambience excellent food. I had the Poké bowl which I really liked although I would've preferred sushi rice in it, but it was nice and it had a little bit of a spice kick to it. We also had a tomato appetizer, which was really yummy. I would definitely come back again!
We were so impressed by this spot tonight! The halibut over rissoto was delicious. The cocktails and mocktails were great. The buffalo wings were fire. The brown butter cookie skillet is insane we ordered another because we ate it up in 2 seconds lol. Service was friendly and attentive. Great spot!
My friends were saying they didn't care for the girl dinner but I'm having it right now and every bit of it is perfect. Like the salad, the caviar, the pasta, and the martini. I don't get it. 10/10 I neeeeededddd this. Praise girl dinner.
Went in for drinks but ended up ordering a couple of salads and some chicken wings--and I'm glad we did! The watermelon salad was definitely the highlight--10/10! The perfect balance of sweet and savory, and something I would absolutely come back for. The wings had a good level of spice, but they were missing a little seasoning. The Caesar salad, unfortunately, was soggy and lacked the crispness I prefer. The drinks were very strong. Personally, I prefer my drinks a little lighter so I can enjoy them throughout the night without them being too overpowering. It's a smaller space, so it did feel a little stuffy while we were there, but overall, I'd definitely return--especially for that watermelon salad! Definitely worth trying
Late night eats at a place you'd want to eat at all the time? This is the spot in downtown Phoenix. The food was tasty, the service friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for date night or an intimate group. My lobster roll was stuffed with chilled buttery Maine lobster and was just fantastic. The shoestring fries were lightly battered and a perfect combination. The bolognese was another tasty dish with long ribbon pasta and three meat ragu. The Caesar salad was tangy with just a little kick to it. My favorite dish was their dessert -- the brown butter chocolate chip cookie skillet. This looked like a pizookie with vanilla ice cream on top but was 10x better. It was like soft slightly melted cookie dough without being too sweet. Such a great dessert! The place can be crowded but getting a table for a smallish group shouldn't be a problem with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely decide to eat here if you're reading this!
I'm obsessed with this spot! I stumbled upon industry standard (almost quite literally) after a day of drinking downtown. I was immediately drawn to their craft cocktails and the focaccia with whipped ricotta captured my heart. I'm a huge savory cocktail girl and they had multiple options. The Caprese was everything for me, like a crispy salad in a glass. They also make a mean dirty martini. The vibe is great too, dimly lit with vibey house music and the bartenders and servers are all super chill and friendly. Effortlessly cool without being too snooty. I'm a big fan of their food too, my top faves were the Caesar salad, watermelon salad, vodka pasta & cookie skillet, besides my beloved bread of course. The girl dinner is truly such a steal so if you go on a Tues night, don't skip it! It comes with a martini, caviar chip, Caesar salad & vodka pasta. They also do a boy dinner on Thurs which I'll need to come back for! Absolutely in love and will definitely be back again soon. read more
I visited Industry Standard for a date night, and overall, it's a solid spot with a great atmosphere. The service itself was good. The food and drink were a bit of a mixed bag. The sausage & broccolini pasta had good overall flavor with a decent kick of heat, though it leaned a little too heavy on the salt. The miso and lemon pepper wings were both fine, typical wings. My glass of wine tasted flat, so that was a bit of a letdown. Surprisingly though, the highlight drink of the night was my date's IPA. I don't even like IPAs, but it was genuinely delightful! Since the restaurant doesn't seem to have a designated lot, parking downtown can be a gamble. I got lucky and found a street meter for just $1.20/hour. However, my date ended up in the private lot directly behind the building and that was a $33 charge for 3 hours! Just a heads-up to think about about parking options ahead. Overall is was a decent date night experience. read more

Hubby and I really liked this place! The decor is kind of relaxing and unassuming, with a bar, tables and booths, and plenty of patio seating. The black walls make for a cozy feel--i really like it. The hostess, as well as the server, were really good. They gave such a friendly feel, and we're very helpful. The food--this is where they really shine! I have no idea how they made broccolini taste so good, but they did! The some fried rice? Deeeeeelish! This is a great place for dinner. Great service, great food, and the prices are spot on. read more

If I could rate it HIGHER I would. Omg you guys! We made reservations here as it was close to Tropic Thunder and wanted dinner before hand. We honestly didn't set our expectations high. Seeing the reviews and photos on Google and Yelp did not give this place enough REAL LOVE because WOW. Service: 5/5 perfection! We were catered to perfectly. Given great recommendations and served promptly. Food: 100/5 no joke! My fiancé just made noises while eating...no words. He ordered the chicken pot pie. I was lucky enough to get his last bite and it was hearty, delicious, nostalgic. He said it reminded him of spending time with grandma. I ordered the barbacoa with poblano grits and it was sensational! Whoever concocted the idea of making poblano grits--I could kiss you! It was honestly what made the dish and tied everything together! Drinks: 4.90/5 they were yummy! I ordered the Chic and Destroy and it was the best cocktail I ordered! Definitely recommend. My fiancé ordered the Paul-literally Correct. It was delicious! Their clarified cocktails were a huge underrated HIT! Love that all their cocktails have the same price point and they do have happy hour! Dessert: The lemon olive oil cake !!!!! Wow! Topped with a blueberry mascarpone whipped topping....it was heavenly! This place is a must try!!!!! read more
It looks like their menu slightly changes depending on the season. Besides alcoholic drinks, they also serve up some really nice entrees from seafood dishes, pasta, chicken wings, and flatbreads. I got myself a steak bowl which cost me $29.18 (includes tax and tip). There was way more rice than steak but the steak was quite delicious. The rice was adorned with a coconut lime flavor which give it a nice little kick in my taste buds. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was a stereotypical "bro." Overall, it was a nice night out with the guys over good food. read more
Good vibes and great food. I loved how lowkey the ambiance felt. They had vibey ass music and the drinks were a hit. They have outdoor seating as well. We ordered the following: *Braised short ribs: I meannnnnn dang... so soft, so flavorful. 10/5 *Lemon Pepper Wings: 5/5. They have a kick to em that made it even better than the usual lemon peppered wings. *Pretty in Peach: Cute and nicely made. Got me started off just right. Not too strong and not too sweet, I even got to eat a little peach ring lol. Lastly, let's talk about their service: Prob their lowest out of the food and ambiance. Upon arrival, we did not get greeted with a welcoming vibe and once we got seated it took a while before the waitress came to us... I was trying to get two happy hour drinks and only managed to get one cus they were dilly dallying by the bar. Another thing, please ask if the customer is done with their food before you take away or place things on their plate... Even my check was wrong :( Overall they were okay but def recommend an improvement with their service (awareness). read more
Went to industry standard's "girl dinner" - $25 for martini, salad, and spicy vodka pasta! Very cute idea and decent food. Definitely not the most filling meal to the true average girl, but a fun concept and a cute date night or GNO. Service was excellent even on a busy night. read more
This time around, I remembered what I had... "Text Your Ex" cocktail along with an old-fashioned. The vibe here is the main reason I return, but the cocktails and food from the kitchen hit differently for me (in a good way). Never an "inexpensive" trip, but I enjoy the quality of everything here, especially when it's a small group meeting. As for food, decided to go with the Pepperoni Flatbread, Mac & cheese and of course, 2 orders of chicken wings 1 Lemon Pepper style, the other, buffalo sauce based. To wrap up, I had a Don Pepto margarita classic Cadillac style. Outdoor patio seating is great, but I will never fully understand the wooden railing around that blocks the street (hinders me from people watching from the couches :-)) read more
Went here without a reservation on a Friday night. The place did not seem busy at any point that we were there, but we were asked to sit at the bar because of the lack of reservation. This was not an issue, just one that was interesting, though the layout is small and the bathroom door is behind the bar seats, so it isn't the most comfortable location given the tight squeeze with foot traffic. The menu seemed focused on the cocktails, with a mixture of what might be considered and appetizer or main course mixed together. We got the watermelon and cucumber salad to start, thinking it would be refreshing after a long walk there in the heat. Both of us were shocked when the first notes of the watermelon were spicy. We read the menu and then understood that this was not meant to be a light bite. It was very enjoyable, but just a different taste than expected. We also got the Dan Dan Noodles. This had the spice expected. What was interesting was that the spices were almost exactly the same to the watermelon and cucumber salad. Not bad, but we probably would have ordered a different starter. We also ordered the streak bowl and the foccaccia with ricotta. The steak was incredible, and the highlight of the meal. This would have been better with more egg..not sure one full egg wad used? and less rice. The focaccia was warm and the ricotta with honey a nice palate cleanser before and after the meal. Overall, the food was good and the prices reasonable for the types of dishes. The old fashioned had nice herbal notes, and the service was quick. read more

Rolling up late and craving comfort - this is a laid back spot reminding me of college days - with a broken arm he's still helping Rosie out, making things work. A few dishes didn't work for me, but the manager made it right. I still enjoyed a very comfortable corner on the patio and some Noble Pretzels with housemade cheesy sauce. read more
OMG have y'all tried the $25 Girl Dinner fixed menu?! It was so cheap! You literally get Champaign or a martini. I opted for a vodka espresso martini and it was nice and strong. Then a fun caviar bump came out on a ruffle chip. That was great! Then a Cesar salad comes out with good breadcrumbs to top it. Lastly the vodka pasta comes out and it has a nice tiny kick to it. All 4 items for $25. I mean... tho l about it. Before taxes that like $6 per item. A $6 espresso martini that was so good? Oh yes girl.... I'm coming back. Fella's- bring your date here on a Tuesday or Wednesday between 5-10pm for them to take advantage of the Girl Dinner deal. I'll be back! Stopped here after a long day of traveling for work and I was craving wings! I immediately sat down at the bar and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who brought me a glass of water to start while I looked over the menu! I knew I wanted the wings, but, then something else caught my eye! A spicy cucumber salad! The wings needed veggies on the side, right?? I'm so glad Ingot the cucumber salad! It was perfection- spicy, sweet, savory, fresh, umami - YUM! The wings were also cooked and sauced to perfection! The ranch was bomb, and, that's a lot for me to say because I don't normally eat ranch with my wings (I know, I know...) Last, but, certainly not least, these folks are Craft Cockctail PhDs!! The menu for cocktails is perfect, but, not too much! I had the Short Comings (think Moscow Mule meets fresh watermelon syrup). It was so incredible and refreshing! It was very difficult for me not to order a second one! This place is really a treat! Great ambiance, friendly staff, bomb food and amazing drinks! I couldn't ask for more! read more

Industry Standard moved into the space on Roosevelt that was previously Carly's Bistro. It was busy on Saturday night, but our server was friendly and efficient. The crowd was fantastically diverse. A glass of Raventos sparkling wine is a good way to start. Caesar salad and lobster roll were both good. Charred broccolini with romesco sauce and toasted breadcrumbs was excellent. And the brown butter chocolate chip skillet cookie was amazing! Pass for me on the confit tomatoes with sweet ricotta cheese and focaccia that was just ok. Worth checking out if you're hanging downtown. read more

Solid spot on Roosevelt row. Went last night and sat at the bar and had a great time. Bartender was super friendly and made great drinks. I had the barbocoa / grits and she has the short rib. Would go back, wouldn't run back but would for sure go back if I was looking for a casual spot and happen to be downtown already. Recommend! read more

Amazing cocktails. Delicious food (highly recommend the lobster roll and the Cheetos covered mac and cheese). Wonderful, super friendly, and attentive service. Best of all: they are very dog friendly. We kept apologizing for the dogs jumping up and the servers were all so kind. The whole family loved coming here. Really a great spot to hang out. read more

I will honestly say I loved loved their desserts. We ordered the cookie dessert which was absolutely fantastic. I ended the lobster roll as well but the dessert yummmm. The bartender was friendly gave great recommendations. I just really enjoyed the vibe there. Super chill and good food. read more

I'm still dreaming of their vodka pasta.... And I'm writing this review 2 weeks later. As a vegetarian I have a lotttt of vodka pastas but this is the BEST one I've ever had. We were seated out on the patio which was wonderful. Waitress and manager did a great job of checking on us. @arizona I'll be back and this restaurant will absolutely be my first spot. read more

Our goal has been to try new places rather than sticking to our regular spots and I'm glad we did! Industry Standard was a cute spot with a good menu and great service. Two of us got the 'Girl Dinner' which was not only the perfect girl dinner, but it was a great deal as well. A ruffle with caviar and crème fraiche, a delicious and creamy caesar salad, spicy vodka rigatoni pasta, and a choice between champagne or a martini. All for $25! We also got the PB&J espresso martini which was unique and so incredibly delicious. The rest of the group ordered the flatbreads which were both decent and personal sized. I definitely recommend Industry Standard for the vibes, service and the Girl Dinner! I'd love to return and try other menu items. read more

Of course I had to come here to try the viral girl dinner! And it did not disappoint. For $25, I got an espresso martini, Caesar salad, caviar bump, and pasta. That can't be beat! My friend and I still had a bit of a sweet tooth after dinner, so we got their cookie skillet to share. Everything was so good! I didn't eat one bad thing and will definitely be doing this again. It's such a cute and affordable way to catch up with your girls mid week and give yourself something to look forward to! read more
