Our goal has been to try new places rather than sticking to our regular spots and I'm glad we did! Industry Standard was a cute spot with a good menu and great service. Two of us got the 'Girl Dinner' which was not only the perfect girl dinner, but it was a great deal as well. A ruffle with caviar and crème fraiche, a delicious and creamy caesar salad, spicy vodka rigatoni pasta, and a choice between champagne or a martini. All for $25! We also got the PB&J espresso martini which was unique and so incredibly delicious. The rest of the group ordered the flatbreads which were both decent and personal sized. Hubby and I really liked this place! The decor is kind of relaxing and unassuming, with a bar, tables and booths, and plenty of patio seating. The black walls make for a cozy feel--i really like it. The hostess, as well as the server, were really good. They gave such a friendly feel, and we're very helpful. The food--this is where they really shine! I have no idea how they made broccolini taste so good, but they did! The some fried rice? Deeeeeelish! This is a great place for dinner. Rolling up late and craving comfort - this is a laid back spot reminding me of college days - with a broken arm he's still helping Rosie out, making things work. I was lucky enough to get his last bite and it was hearty, delicious, nostalgic. He said it reminded him of spending time with grandma. I ordered the barbacoa with poblano grits and it was sensational! Whoever concocted the idea of making poblano grits--I could kiss you! Late night eats at a place you'd want to eat at all the time? This is the spot in downtown Phoenix. The food was tasty, the service friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for date night or an intimate group. My lobster roll was stuffed with chilled buttery Maine lobster and was just fantastic. The shoestring fries were lightly battered and a perfect combination. The bolognese was another tasty dish with long ribbon pasta and three meat ragu. The Caesar salad was tangy with just a little kick to it. My favorite dish was their dessert -- the brown butter chocolate chip cookie skillet. This looked like a pizookie with vanilla ice cream on top but was 10x better. It was like soft slightly melted cookie dough without being too sweet. Such a great dessert! The place can be crowded but getting a table for a smallish group shouldn't be a problem with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely decide to eat here if you're reading this! read more

The vibe here is the main reason I return, but the cocktails and food from the kitchen hit differently for me (in a good way). As for food, decided to go with the Pepperoni Flatbread, Mac & cheese and of course, 2 orders of chicken wings 1 Lemon Pepper style, the other, buffalo sauce based. I immediately sat down at the bar and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who brought me a glass of water to start while I looked over the menu! OMG have y'all tried the $25 Girl Dinner fixed menu?! It was so cheap! You literally get Champaign or a martini. I opted for a vodka espresso martini and it was nice and strong. Then a fun caviar bump came out on a ruffle chip. That was great! Then a Cesar salad comes out with good breadcrumbs to top it. Lastly the vodka pasta comes out and it has a nice tiny kick to it. Industry Standard moved into the space on Roosevelt that was previously Carly's Bistro. It was busy on Saturday night, but our server was friendly and efficient. The crowd was fantastically diverse. A glass of Raventos sparkling wine is a good way to start. Caesar salad and lobster roll were both good. Charred broccolini with romesco sauce and toasted breadcrumbs was excellent. And the brown butter chocolate chip skillet cookie was amazing! Pass for me on the confit tomatoes with sweet ricotta cheese and focaccia that was just ok. Stopped in for "girl dinner" with my friends and had an amazing time. The dinner comes with a Caesar salad, Diablo pasta, caviar bump and your choice of an espresso martini or champagne. We were seated right away and our server was really attentive. What's I'd change, thy bring all of your food out at once instead of allowing you to tiny one dish at a time. You have to eat the pasta first so that it doesn't get cold, then go back for your salad. I couldn't taste the caviar because they slop so much sour cream or whatever that was on the chip. Maybe less of that so that people can taste what their eating. If you don't want either of the drinks you have to buy one separately, which I had to. It should be any martini. I've been here quite a few times. I'm bummed they got rid of the pork belly dish as it was one of the best in the city, but the replacements are all delicious. The tuna crudo was light and refreshing, with a little kick to it. I had the braised short rib and it was immaculate. Most short rib I've had is over salted, and this wasn't at all. It was delicious! Perfection. My dad was in town and beloved his chicken pot pie, but not nearly as much as his vodka martinis. He said they were some of the best he ever had. We got here after midnight and were welcomed by Rosie, our extremely sweet and knowledgeable server. I had the spicy pasta and my husband had the Beef Dip Sandwich. Holy crap, this food was amazing. I had to order extra bread for the delectible sauce to dip! Rosie is a whole vibe, so sweet that we came back for dessert the very next night! The vodka Penne was slightly spicy and had a good portion, and the Cesar salad had a yummy crouton crumble that was tasty. But this deal is amazing and ladies yall need to come check it out. Industry Standard does a good job of filling the shoes left from its longtime predecessor. In fact, it's refreshing to see more restaurants that earnestly try to be good; that yearn to be stylish, contemporary, and unpretentious instead of flashy and overbearing. Outside, you'll find the same comfortable patio seating and vibrant murals one should take for granted on The Row. Inside, you'll find a southern-inspired New American menu, respectable cocktails, and if you're lucky some entertainment. What I loved: The bar food can't be missed. In fact, I'll say the Miso Wings are the best chicken dish I've had all year. The cocktail menu won't blow your mind if you're already a snob like me, but it is formidable, accessible, and above all--tasty. The Chic and Destroy (an overtly sweet strawberry cocktail featuring abundant clarified dairy) is fun, packs a punch, and is certainly accessible. But there are a few more worth exploring, if you don't get distracted by the assortment of small pours (Who else likes a little fernet menta?) I find this spot ideal for small groups, small bites, and a cozy atmosphere standing in futher contrast from the rest of the block nowadays. Back in the day, I made quite a few memories in this building. With Industry Standard running things now, I certainly believe there's room to make a few more. read more

I knew I had to come back and try this place after I heard chef Azlin had joined Industry Standard. I really liked the food at the Azlin and was disappointed to hear it closed. They now have an updated menu and all the food we tried was delicious. Started with the broccolini and it was tasty, and cooked perfectly to be crispy but not raw with a really good romesco sauce. I went with the French dip and opted for the salad instead of fries. The French dip was delicious. Personally I would have loved more horseradish because it was just a hint but I can't complain because it was really good. We went for the girl dinner and the girl dinner itself is 100% worth it for the price $25 for a cocktail plus a decent portion of Ceaser salad and pasta with a caviar bump . The food is delicious 10/10 I would come back for the girl dinner itself. I'm sure the other food is great but for the prices of food and drinks I wouldn't come unless there was a special . The happy hour is terrible with only 2 dollars off that is not a happy hour and plenty of other places to go for happy hour for way better prices . I would only really come here for the specials they have. We did have a reservation at 6:30 and they did not have our table ready even with showing up 7 minutes past and they made us a make shift table . I feel like with a reservation they should close off a table 15 minutes before so was surprised I still had to wait despite it being not full when I arrived . It did get super crowded once i was seated but. Couldn't tell you if making a reservation would help that . Staff was decent . Ambiance is nice the bathroom is a stand out forsure .
