As in my past reviews, the food here is impeccable. This time I tried the halibut plate again, and once again, it did not disappoint. The portion was generous enough for me to take some home, and the asparagus was a perfect complement to the halibut and risotto. Shout out to Lady's! If you are looking for a great place to enjoy good food, good drinks, and good conversation, Tuesday Wendsdays Ladies' Night is the place to be. It is a perfect way to break up the middle of the week with girlfriends. Let's face it, caviar, champagne, or a martini is not a bad way to start a meal. The food here was really good, they have a lot of happy hour menu items for different days of the week, like "girl dinner" and "boy dinner". Their cocktail menu is really fun too if that's what you're looking for, definitely a fun place to drink. It's got a dark vibe interior and was pretty lively. The parking lot behind is $23 minimum so make sure to look for street parking when you're driving in. We ordered a few things but my favorite was probably the ceviche or the Caesar, both were well dressed and I kept reaching for them. Honestly, all the food here was really great and came out so quick I was very happy. Unfortunately I ordered a Diet Coke that never came, but to be fair I did it after everyone had already gotten their drinks, and the server wasn't ready to write it down. Something that really bothered us though was when we asked the server if they do anything for birthdays and they said yes. We received two different desserts and were really happy until we got the bill and realized we were charged for one of them. I have been to Industry Standard twice now, and it is safe to say I am totally hooked. My first visit was on a Wednesday night to try their "Girl Dinner" special, which comes with a caviar chip bump, a Caesar salad, pasta, and a glass of Prosecco all for $25. They do enforce a 90-minute time limit for the table, but that was honestly plenty of time for my friends and me to chat, enjoy our food, and have a great time. I loved it so much that I recommended it for a Saturday night dinner with another girlfriend just recently. The food here is absolutely great and the drinks are fantastic. I ordered this Ube piña colada drink that I honestly have not stopped thinking about since, and the pasta is really good too. The overall vibe of the restaurant is very cute and unique, making it the perfect spot for a girls' night out. The only downside to the whole experience is that the parking situation is terrible, so you definitely want to plan ahead for that. However, the excellent food, great drinks, and amazing atmosphere make it completely worth it. I will definitely be back. read more

It looks like their menu slightly changes depending on the season. Besides alcoholic drinks, they also serve up some really nice entrees from seafood dishes, pasta, chicken wings, and flatbreads. I got myself a steak bowl which cost me $29.18 (includes tax and tip). There was way more rice than steak but the steak was quite delicious. The rice was adorned with a coconut lime flavor which give it a nice little kick in my taste buds. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was a stereotypical "bro." I went with a friend to industry standard for my bday dinner. Let me start by saying their Caesar salad is amazing!!! Like maybe best in phoenix, it's sooo garlicky. We also got the chicken pot pie and the short rib pasta. The entrees were good but not as good as the salad. I thought we got the wrong pasta because the description on the menu made me think it was a white sauce and it was more like a bolognese. Went here without a reservation on a Friday night. The place did not seem busy at any point that we were there, but we were asked to sit at the bar because of the lack of reservation. This was not an issue, just one that was interesting, though the layout is small and the bathroom door is behind the bar seats, so it isn't the most comfortable location given the tight squeeze with foot traffic. The menu seemed focused on the cocktails, with a mixture of what might be considered and appetizer or main course mixed together. We got the watermelon and cucumber salad to start, thinking it would be refreshing after a long walk there in the heat. Both of us were shocked when the first notes of the watermelon were spicy. We read the menu and then understood that this was not meant to be a light bite. It was very enjoyable, but just a different taste than expected. We also got the Dan Dan Noodles. This had the spice expected. What was interesting was that the spices were almost exactly the same to the watermelon and cucumber salad. Not bad, but we probably would have ordered a different starter. We also ordered the streak bowl and the foccaccia with ricotta. The steak was incredible, and the highlight of the meal. This would have been better with more egg..not sure one full egg wad used? and less rice. The focaccia was warm and the ricotta with honey a nice palate cleanser before and after the meal. Hubby and I really liked this place! The decor is kind of relaxing and unassuming, with a bar, tables and booths, and plenty of patio seating. The black walls make for a cozy feel--i really like it. The hostess, as well as the server, were really good. They gave such a friendly feel, and we're very helpful. The food--this is where they really shine! I ordered the barbacoa with poblano grits and it was sensational! Whoever concocted the idea of making poblano grits--I could kiss you! Late night eats at a place you'd want to eat at all the time? This is the spot in downtown Phoenix. The food was tasty, the service friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for date night or an intimate group. My lobster roll was stuffed with chilled buttery Maine lobster and was just fantastic. The shoestring fries were lightly battered and a perfect combination. The bolognese was another tasty dish with long ribbon pasta and three meat ragu. The Caesar salad was tangy with just a little kick to it. My favorite dish was their dessert -- the brown butter chocolate chip cookie skillet. This looked like a pizookie with vanilla ice cream on top but was 10x better. It was like soft slightly melted cookie dough without being too sweet. Such a great dessert! The place can be crowded but getting a table for a smallish group shouldn't be a problem with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely decide to eat here if you're reading this! read more

The vibe here is the main reason I return, but the cocktails and food from the kitchen hit differently for me (in a good way). Never an "inexpensive" trip, but I enjoy the quality of everything here, especially when it's a small group meeting. As for food, decided to go with the Pepperoni Flatbread, Mac & cheese and of course, 2 orders of chicken wings 1 Lemon Pepper style, the other, buffalo sauce based. I immediately sat down at the bar and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who brought me a glass of water to start while I looked over the menu! A glass of Raventos sparkling wine is a good way to start. Caesar salad and lobster roll were both good. Charred broccolini with romesco sauce and toasted breadcrumbs was excellent. And the brown butter chocolate chip skillet cookie was amazing! Pass for me on the confit tomatoes with sweet ricotta cheese and focaccia that was just ok. Two of us got the 'Girl Dinner' which was not only the perfect girl dinner, but it was a great deal as well. A ruffle with caviar and crème fraiche, a delicious and creamy caesar salad, spicy vodka rigatoni pasta, and a choice between champagne or a martini. All for $25! We also got the PB&J espresso martini which was unique and so incredibly delicious. The rest of the group ordered the flatbreads which were both decent and personal sized. Stopped in for "girl dinner" with my friends and had an amazing time. The dinner comes with a Caesar salad, Diablo pasta, caviar bump and your choice of an espresso martini or champagne. We were seated right away and our server was really attentive. What's I'd change, thy bring all of your food out at once instead of allowing you to tiny one dish at a time. You have to eat the pasta first so that it doesn't get cold, then go back for your salad. I couldn't taste the caviar because they slop so much sour cream or whatever that was on the chip. Maybe less of that so that people can taste what their eating. If you don't want either of the drinks you have to buy one separately, which I had to. It should be any martini. But this deal is amazing and ladies yall need to come check it out. Industry Standard does a good job of filling the shoes left from its longtime predecessor. In fact, it's refreshing to see more restaurants that earnestly try to be good; that yearn to be stylish, contemporary, and unpretentious instead of flashy and overbearing. Outside, you'll find the same comfortable patio seating and vibrant murals one should take for granted on The Row. Inside, you'll find a southern-inspired New American menu, respectable cocktails, and if you're lucky some entertainment. What I loved: The bar food can't be missed. In fact, I'll say the Miso Wings are the best chicken dish I've had all year. The cocktail menu won't blow your mind if you're already a snob like me, but it is formidable, accessible, and above all--tasty. The Chic and Destroy (an overtly sweet strawberry cocktail featuring abundant clarified dairy) is fun, packs a punch, and is certainly accessible. But there are a few more worth exploring, if you don't get distracted by the assortment of small pours (Who else likes a little fernet menta?) I find this spot ideal for small groups, small bites, and a cozy atmosphere standing in futher contrast from the rest of the block nowadays. Back in the day, I made quite a few memories in this building. With Industry Standard running things now, I certainly believe there's room to make a few more. read more
