Working in the Downtown Phoenix area on the ASU campus, I was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat last week, and I came across Jacy & Dakota's. I learned about that as there is a sign with a special offer for ASU students right outside the University Center Building. I went into the Westin Hotel and found that Jacy & Dakota's was open for lunch with only a few customers. I enjoyed some good food and good service, and I'll likely be back another time soon. When I arrived, I opted to sit on my own at a table where I could space out and read over lunch. There was only one server working, and she came over to me as soon as she noticed me there. I ordered a Jacy's Burger, which came with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar, and a Hawaiian bun. It also came with French fries. The fries were tasty and hot, while the burger was delicious and big, though it was messy as the lettuce kept falling out of the burger. They honored an ASU 20% discount, which was great! While I stuck with a burger this time, I would love to go back to try their Jacy & Dakota Wings or even their tacos. Jacy & Dakota's is considered to be a modern American restaurant with cuisine inspired by traditional dishes and seasonally fresh ingredients. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and their patio is dog-friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They offer complimentary 2 hour valet validation and free Wi-Fi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are open for breakfast on weekdays from 6 AM to 11 AM, brunch on weekends from 7 AM to 2 PM, and then all day on weekdays from 11 AM to 10 PM and weekends from 2 PM to 10 PM. They also have a Happy Hour menu from 4-6 PM and Late Night menu from 10 PM to 11 PM daily. While the prices were a bit higher than I would have expected, I recognize it is in a hotel and the specials were appreciated and brought the price back down a bit. They also have many different specials. Beyond the ASU 20% discount, they also offer a 25% discount during Happy Hour (daily from 3-6 PM), Tuesday Beer & Bites specials, Sunday all-day happy hour, and more! I plan to come back again in the near future and would recommend it to others. read more

Service is great and the drinks are well crafted. It's a hotel lobby bar so you're not getting a 4 course meal but the food is good

TLDR: perfect McDonald's fries I got the Caesar salad and the dressing just lacked depth of flavor. Either they need to include more dressing or they need to add some more salt to their dressing because I couldn't really taste it. The FRIES THOUGH! The best way to describe these fries is if McDonald's made their fries perfectly every single time. Crispy perfectly seasoned delicious. Their ranch was also very good. read more

Such a great time! My family and I were staying at the hotel this restaurant is connected to so we thought to try it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio was nice to sit at and the food was great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but what really made our experience was Josef! Josef was just an amazing server all around; the food was timely, no mistakes, so personable, and quite knowledgeable! Had a fun time dining here during restaurant week. My sister and I had never been before but we invitee a friend to check it out with us. Our server was great. He checked on us frequently, asked for the answers to any questions we had if he did not have the answers, and served us with a great attitude. I ordered the brussel sprouts after asking if they were crispy or roasted. I was told by the manager that they were crispy however they were very lightly fried so more on the crunchy side. But they were really delicious. Then for my entree I ordered the Guajillo Chili Chicken which was amazing. All the ingredients went well together. I would definitely order this dish again. For desert, I ordered the Churro bites which I loved. They were filled with a caramel sauce and then there was a chocolate dipping sauce for added deliciousness. We're staying at the Westin for a conference in town and went to dinner downstairs. We ordered the chicken nachos and a couple margaritas during happy hour. Nachos were large enough that we split them and it was more than enough. The margaritas were refreshing and just what we needed after a long day of sitting and listening to people presenting changes to bylaws. Servers are absolutely the best, friendly, helpful, and not in your face [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar can be a noisy area, but there are seats behind the wine rack that are perfect for having a conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Glad we decided to stay and investigate the hotel restaurant. read more

My visit to Jacy and Dakota's during Restaurant Week was a definite success! We opted for the prix fixe menu, and everything was beautifully presented and delicious. We kicked things off with the Rotating Happy Hour Cocktail, which was a fantastic Prickly Pear Margarita, perfectly balanced and a great start to the meal. For the three-course menu, the appetizer, Pork Belly Bites, were a true highlight; rich, crispy, and flavorful. For the main courses, we tried both the Guajillo Chili Chicken and the Grilled Steak and Crab Chimichurri. Both were solid, inventive dishes that showcased the chef's flair. We finished the evening on a sweet note with the Churro Bites. What really elevated the entire experience was the service. Our server, Khalil, provided truly excellent, attentive, and friendly service throughout the entire meal. He made the evening feel special! Well let me take that back, the Brussels sprouts were outta this world. But the steak frites not so much. The steak was ordered medium rare and it came out like 2 degree shy of being well done. Almost no red. Disappointing. And I think salt was low that day cause it could have used some flavor. The fries were ok and the fry sauce was pretty good. Total fail for mother's Day breakfast. Waited and waited for an hour - our waiter never checked on us and I had to ask other servers for drinks. The server was friendly and attentive. The food came out quick but was very uneven. My portabello "burger" with salad was great. The salad was fresh and seemed to have quality produce. But there was no dressing. After I asked about it and got a side of dressing, the dressing was quite good. The rice in my husband's dish was hard and he had asked for an additional side of rice - also hard. They took the side off the bill. Then, we had asked for our daughter's burger to be well done and when we cut into it, it was red. They offered to redo the burger but she tried to eat it as it was because she was hungry but it ended up just going to waste. We had ordered their chocolate lava cake. Very disappointed. Had good ratings but the service was slow at best. No hostess or host so we sat ourselves down as instructed. No one even took notice and brought us menus. Staff was more focused on catching up on the latest gossip than serving us. Once we ordered drinks took for ever but food was out rather quickly. The breakfast burrito with chorizo was lackluster, more potato than anything else. And don't go there for the jalapeno hollandaise sauce. You got a little dollop on your poached egg. I ate at this restaurant multiple times this week and had the best experience! The staff was very kind and provided excellent customer service! The breakfast sandwiches, burgers, and omelets were all delicious! Next time, I hope to try the AZ skillet. I want to give a special shoutout to Antonio and the rest of the bartenders/staff during the morning shifts! They were very hard working and patient people. I went to lunch here for a work meeting with someone staying at the hotel. I was happy to see a couple of vegan items marked on the menu! I ordered the Three Sisters Bowl (minus avocado, a me thing) and a side of pub fries. Both were very tasty! Probably a little overpriced given it's hotel food, but they hit the spot just fine. The pub fries were well cooked -- especially the smaller crispy bits. The bowl had black beans, rice, an assortment of veggies (squash, green peppers, etc.) and pico. It was light and fresh. Service was friendly, but a little slow. We were there for a long chat so it didn't matter, but if you're in a rush you should let them know. my girlfriend and I have had consistently good service at Marriott's Westin hotels so we had high hopes for this restaurant! however, we were let down by Jacy & Dakota's. we were greeted, sat down, and I ordered an iced matcha latte (which is on the menu). when she went behind the bar to make it, she complained to her coworker that she hates making that drink and was disgusted that I wanted to add a shot of espresso to it (she shouldn't judge my preference so loudly) as for the food, it isn't fantastic but it's not bad either. we ordered the breakfast burrito and salmon tartine. our waiter warned me that the tartine was a lot of food (she was right). it had the same guacamole as the burrito plate (not just avocado), it's mustard-seed heavy, and drenched with the achiote aioli. the bread itself was delicious. read more

There was a full moon and we were desperate....that never ends well. We sat down at the bar (which the bar seating was full other than our seats). Good sign. But was it? We sat there without acknowledgment for almost 10 minutes, and then he walks up verbatim "so you good?" No drinks, menus, etc in front of us. Uhhhh....no? We both order a glass of wine and an entree. Neither was quick to be delivered but also not a big deal because we weren't in a hurry. Burger 2/10, the flavors were just not molding together correctly. Fries 9/10, good crisp. My friend got the Cuban, 7/10, she thought it could use more heat and seasoning. We sat without silverware for almost another 10 minutes (now the bar is almost empty) and I literally was waving my hands and trying to get their attention. Had to stand up and make a fool of myself to call him over. We didn't even a glance from him there on after until I literally had to stand up again to get his attention for the bill. Give or take another 30 minutes later. Mere convenience is what brought us here, so I'll take a different road to get lost on when I'm downtown Phoenix again. read more

We came across this place on the Urban Ale Trail and decided to stop back in and have dinner here one night. We sat outside and it took somebody almost 15 min to come and greet us and bring menus. We were just about the get up and go somewhere else to eat. My chicken sandwich was burnt so it unfortunately threw off the whole taste of the sandwich. They took the fries back immediately after putting my plate down saying there wasn't enough in there and they were going to fix that. Once replaced they were the best thing I ate. This place has such promise. The decor outside says fun and inviting but the food doesn't live up to it. Maybe next time I'd just come back for drinks and maybe an appetizer. read more

In no way did this qualify as soup, I'm pretty confident they probably ran out & plopped down some marinara or tomato paste as a substitute. The grilled cheese was a single, slim, tasteless slice of cheese between two over cooked pieces of bread, absolutely nothing else to add any much needed flavor. I was in awe when I first stepped in to check out this restaurant inside of the Westin hotel. I absolutely fell in love with the decorations and furniture. I love how you have the options to sit outside or inside. The outdoor seating made me feel like I was on a tropical island. It is stunning. They have a fire place to keep you warm in those chiller nights and also provided giant games for you to play if you have any kids. I was surprised with the variety of items they offered on their menu. We ordered a little bit of everything and I wish we had more room in our stomach to try more. Everything from our appetizer to our cider drink was perfection. My chimichuri steak was perfect pink and my son devoured his wagyu burger without leaving a crumb. Exemplary from beginning to completion! A+++ Firstly, I popped in on a Sunday mid-morning to see if Jacy & Dakota's would be a good fit for my monthly brunch group. The menu looked great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is very pretty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A manager, Stephen Jordan, took the time to talk with me, show me around and offer his personal assistance. Weeks later, Stephen assisted me in scheduling my group of 25 for Sunday brunch. He was very responsive and accommodating. When we arrived, everything was set up and ready. He had assigned and introduced Denisha as our server and Annalisa to assist her. Both women were terrific! They handled everything with knowledge, kindness and efficiency! Stephen was also there assuring that everything was going well. My group was having a 'Christmas in July' party complete with a gift exchange. As my guests arrived, they began milling around chatting. Denisha took drink orders and delivered them to 'wherever' that particular person was at the time! That's service! Throughout breakfast we were up and down out of our seats doing the gift exchange. Desisha took all of this in stride with a smile. Just as we were leaving, another employee kindly took our massive group photo. Bottomline - Lovely. We'll be back and you should give it a try! This place sounded like they had a nice Happy Hour. On their website, they listed some interesting appetizers. However, they weren't on the actual menu. We ordered their charcuterie board and drinks. They didn't supply knives or forks. My spouse asked for them and they gave them to her but not to me! The charcuterie board is the only thing that saved this place from one star. read more

The patio seating looked really nice, weather permitting and in all fairness the cocktails were decent. Service was not good and food quality was very poor. We came for restaurant week and to celebrate my birthday - we didn't even stay to get dessert. It took a long time to be greeted and even longer got us to get our drinks, one at a time. We ordered restaurant week and the presentation and portions were laughable. The "seasonal market veg" plate consisted of carrots and celery - what you'd garnish a plate of wings with. We sent it back and had it replaced with a dry bowl of Brussels sprouts. The main course was two completely overly salted steaks, which we also did not eat. Management was nowhere to be found. The service amazing, the food incredible. I cannot recommend the braised short rib enough. It just melts in your mouth and its flavors are perfectly balanced. And the Desert Classic is a great take on an Old Fashioned. read more

Went to Jacy & Dakota's for dinner with friend/neighbor, after starting out to try a new place nearby, we walked by it and decided on dinner at J&D's. It was a beautiful night, so we sat outside on the patio with a heat lamp. The brussel sprouts were crispy and just delicious! The salsa/guacamole combo was tasty...the salsa, not a fan. Our entrees were the pappardelle vodka and the sisters' bowl. Both, VERY GOOD! The ambiance on the patio was nice, quiet, and relaxing. The cocktails were VERY GOOD! I was in meetings all week and needed to escape the banquet lunch at my hotel. Although fabulous, I did not have a lot of options for lunch. I happened upon Jacy and Dakota's for lunch. I was warmly greeted by the GM and "T" was my server at the bar. She was OUTSTANDING! The Wagyu burger was probably one of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend popping in her if you are downtown. My hotel I was staying at was fantastic don't get me wrong but a change of dining scenery was nice. The ambiance is beautiful and the service is incredible. The manager came up and asked how I was and I could not say enough nice things about my experience.
