3 Cheese & Green Olive *without the olives
    Christopher E.

Surprisingly great pizza. Good service. Cool atmosphere. Match is located inside the Foundre hotel. The hotel is known for their Art. This is our go to hotel when we visit Arizona so, we have eaten at Match plenty of times. This trip was our first time trying the pizza. My wife ordered the pepperoni pizza and loved it. I ordered the 3 cheese pizza without the green olives, I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Match is worth a visit if you are in the area. * The bar did run out of champagne while we were in town *They currently no longer have the gelatos

Great for Sunday dinner thanks to a 50% discount on all wine bottles. Consistently great service, strong menu and good wine and cocktails.

This was a nice find, located in the downtown area. There is a little mini market at the entrance with cute stocked items. The place is spacious and it's good for groups and singles alike. There is a bar area and open seating throughout. You place your order at the counter, grab a number, and they bring your meal to your seat. The food and drink (matcha tea) exceeded my expectations. I encountered three staff members and they were all pleasant. Street and garage parking available.

Just enough to chill, have a holiday cocktail and chat things up with Jon, the awesome bartender

Management please give JON a raise and a promotion! Jon is amazing at what he does! Jon is very personable, friendly and professional! I'm sure that bartenders have to be this awesome but they usually aren't, HOWEVER Jon is amazing and deserves 10 months off with pay! Great times hanging and chatting it up with Jon!

I love how the inside has a cute little shop inside but my favorite is the bar seating. There's TVs and plenty of windows to peep outside. It's tucked away in a chill part of the neighborhood. They open up the windows when it's not hot outside. I've been here a couple times for happy hour. I usually get their sangria although it's not a sangria you'd get in Spain. Still decent though and a good price. You should add this place to your list because on 602 (6/02) day they had some awesome deals! We had tacos for a fraction of the cost and it was delicious. I've never been here when it's packed or busy. Sometimes I like to come here for lunch deals or around HH time (but early).

I love this restaurant and bar. The service is A1, the staff is so knowledgeable about food & dining options. We stay at the FoundRe and eat at the Match Market & Bar every time we stay at the hotel. Be downtown Phoenix there are 50 options to try. I highly recommend the restaurant and the marketplace.

Supermarket tasting pasty unwarmed shells ruined the tasty fillings and were way too pricey

I love places that are right along the light rail as they are convenient and great for people watching. This place also has the benefit of being located on a corner and also is adjoined to a hotel and art gallery that is fun to look at before or after you dine. Some outdoor seating is available too which is always nice. Was disappointed to have to go to a counter to order and then get beverages in bottles. The only service was when the meal came out, and that was 45 mins after I placed it. No chips to help pass the wait time either. My one carne asada and one sea bass street taco came out and the the shells were supermarket quality and pasty and not heated. Both tasted okay, but were not exceptional and in no way were worth the price. The lunch counter ordering area should be visually separated from the bar/dining area and could be independently successful with lower pricing.

Match Market and bar is a must! Lots of seating, it's ideal for a date spot or a larger group. It's absolutely stunning inside with an adorable gift shop and lots of sliding glass doors. Great vibes! The severs are all really fantastic with a focus on craft cocktails. I really enjoyed the ceasar salad with spicy shrimp. I had the good karma cocktail it was insane! Keeley was our cocktail waitress she was an absolute delight! Austin and Jon pulled out the red carpet for us, we really enjoyed everyone. The gift shop area is adorable. Lots of jellykats and cute gifts to purchase. Very cute spot with great foods and vibes!

Great restaurant, wine bar, market, art gallery & hotel (FoudRE). They have Snowby amazing vegan Oahu Tofu rice bowl. Vegan appetizer bruschetta. Delicious! Service was great! Received complementary baklava. Food came out fast, but one of the pizzas got burnt and came out much later. They're very communicative about this.

I came here with friends for brunch. As I sat down the bartender came with menus. One was a brunch and one was a lunch menu. My friends came and it took a little while for her to come back for our drink order. When I ordered from the lunch menu I was told that menu was not available. Servers and bartenders should look more closely when handing out menus. When we were ready to pay we had to ask for separate checks. It was a beautiful day and the window were were open which was nice.

Had a 5:30 reservation tonight. We were looking forward to the restaurant week menu. The bartender seated us and there was one waiter handling the few tables. We ordered drinks and they took quite a while to be served. When we mentioned restaurant week to the waiter he told us they were out of the duck breast which was one of our choices, I asked how they could be out with it being only 5:30 he told us it was the last night of restaurant week and they ran out BUT that the filet and salmon were stellar entrees. We both ordered the filet m-r. When the entree came out it was not a filet but a very small thin NY strip. I called the waiter over and said this was not a filet and he apologized and told us it was a NY and they were out of the filet????. I only took one bite and my son had 4 bites of his and there was no real addressing the issue even after I said we did not receive what we ordered and that he( the waiter) had told us the filet tonight was stellar....No manager seemed to be on duty and the waiter simply told us taking 20% off the bill was the best he could do. The bill was still over $120. Such a disappointing experience that was not handled well. The waiter never offered another entree to replace the- not filet-ny strip.

I know you guys have pizza and wine deals on Sundays. Do you have any other deals/specials throughout the week?

Hi, yes, we have a taco and beer special, get tacos and a draught beer for $10 all day, every Tuesday, as well as recurring monthly events. Please visit our website or Facebook page to view all our events and specials. Thanks!

Are there any other beers than what is listed online? I really like IPA's and all I see is Raj which tastes different than most IPAs.

I'm not an IPA person but they have a lot of different beers that aren't listed. You can always stop by during the Urban Ale Trail next week and see.

Do they have live entertainment and good food and pool tables

Carry On actually called me to confirm our "tickets," which I thought was really cute. The whole experience kind of started a couple of days before our actual "departure time." They also reminded us to park in the Renaissance Square parking garage under Wren & Wolf, and they were able to validate our parking for three hours. We had to go to Wren & Wolf first to pick up our Carry On tickets. We got there early, and they let us relax in their couch area while we waited for our departure time. The walk from the Renaissance Square parking garage to Wren & Wolf was easy. You just follow the signs, and the whole walk is inside the building, which was perfect because it was so hot outside. While we were waiting, we could order drinks and chill, just like being in an airport lounge. When it was time for departure, we walked outside the building, and Carry On was right around the corner. You won't miss it because you'll see the Carry On Air flight schedule above the gate door. Right on time, we were greeted by a friendly flight attendant. Once we walked into the cabin, it really felt like we were inside a first-class flight lounge. Our flight attendant served us drinks right after we sat down, and we also ordered more cocktails and snacks from their menu. The captain spoke to us over the speaker, just like on a real flight. As we took off, we could even feel the seats moving. Looking out the "window," we saw buildings, clouds surrounding us, and even experienced turbulence I'm not going to tell you too much because I don't want to ruin the experience. I'll let you try it for yourself. I think it's definitely worth giving it a try. At least for us, we loved it.

It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

Main level/Upstairs vibe is well-lit with a true cantina bar feel. High-top tables, seats at the bar & happy hour from 4-7 pm make it ideal for some $7 drinks!!. The collection of Tequilas is GREAT. Many of which do not contain additives. I won't lie, I thought I was a big fan until I realized I didn't recognize a lot of the tequilas they had on hand. Downstairs is a whole different vibe. Custom craft cocktails, dim lighting with artwork, and more make it feel like an upscale NYC spot in your basement. I did 2 of my favorites, Paloma De Guayaba with the custom block name etched and the Baya Nueva. While in the Cantina, I had to order my friend the Basura (trash), but that wasn't the case... then again, it is served in a plastic bag, and is definitely a throwback to my early 20's of gettin' lit!!!! But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now.
