I am a fan! Just because I brought the only two women into this establishment for breakfast this week day doesn't mean I am a hero. We walked in around 8:00 am and the place was almost full. The clientele was what appeared to me as all tradesmen. To me that is a good thing! They were all polite and friendly and jovial. It was a friendly atmosphere. Just wish there was more parking available to accommodate all those service vans and trucks. Service was quick and friendly bringing us our coffee quickly and our food was also not far behind. What a hidden gem! I'm kicking myself for not trying this place sooner! A cute, clean, friendly diner tucked in an industrial area right by the 10 on 40th St. The food was so good and fresh! It felt like the cook actually cared about serving a good product-- not just churning out mildly edible food items. We missed breakfast (which goes til 10:30) and I'm actually kind of glad because it forced me to try the lunch menu which was fabulous. My open face roast beef was excellent-- big hunky slice of yummy bread topped with lots of perfectly sliced meat. Great Food We had the Poblano sandwiches, Cob salad, bowl of soup with a house salad. The house salad was big enough for 4 people! The sandwiches with onion rings were fantastic and the Cobb salad was outstanding. Easy parking in this industrial district and boy did the place get packed! The ladies here are very friendly. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted. I asked for a menu so I can place a to-go order. She walked away to give me time and someone walked up from the back and also said hello. She saw me looking over the menu so she bagged some other to-go orders while I decided. I ended up ordering with that second lady, had a seat and stared at the table of Phoenix PD patrons. :D I only ended up paying $15 for a corned beef hash/eggs/toast/hash browns plate plus an iced tea. That's quite a deal these days! As I was waiting, the first lady returned and made sure I had already placed an order (in case I just returned the menu without ordering). If you're looking for delicious food, fast service, and a great price, look no further than Peppersauce. Their peppersauce omelet is wonderful with a cream cheese center and fluffy eggs. If you're stopping in for lunch, you have to try the meatloaf sandwich or patty melt. The meatloaf sandwich is served open faced with delicious gravy. The patty melt has perfectly caramelized onion with house sauce and both are served on grilled Parmesan bread that's to die for. Definitely be sure to stop in before or after lunch time as they fill up fast and there's often a wait around noon, but it will be worth the wait if you have one. read more

This cozy diner reminds me of diners from way back with advertisements on the tables like when I was a kid. Service is fast order was taken and we didn't have to wait long even though to go orders were being picked up quickly and the place was filling up at 11:30am. I had the peppersauce burger w pastrami a side of onion rings also. This burger was big the cheese melted to perfection and the pastrami was so good. I order through Yelp and had it delivered. The price is great for what you are getting but the let down was the flavor. The burrito was lacking so much seasoning. It was so bland and disappointed. They had salsa with it but that too was not good. The hash browns also had not seasoning. I had to add so much salt and pepper just to give it a little flavor. I really wanted to like this place but the food just wasn't good. I'm not sure if the done on experience is different but this was a miss for me. Running errands in an unfamiliar part of town, I asked Yelp what's for lunch. My problem was, it was 10:35 am and most places think that is still breakfast time. It's not my fault most places are wrong :0 Who has two thumbs and is a lucky girl? Yelp gave me The Peppersauce Cafe which stops serving breakfast at 10:30. Yay! I drove my happy ass right on over, grabbed a New Times to read, and was seated immediately. The menu has lots of interesting items and I was intrigued by today's special of homemade clam chowder but since I haven't had a vegetable in a couple of days I went with this Cobb salad with crispy chicken (you can have turkey, crispy chicken, or grilled chicken), with homemade ranch dressing. Y'all. This salad is MASSIVE. The bowl is easily as big as my head. The chicken was perfect, crispy, juicy, and tender. The avocado was nice and fresh. The tomatoes were bursting with flavour. It was delightful. The other half is going to be delightful again for dinner, I am sure. It's so nice to see a local business like this in an old house that didn't get torn down. Not only is the restaurant close to the airport, it's easy to get there. This restaurant opens at 6am, so this restaurant is a great choice for early flights . Closing time is at 2pm. Found this hidden gem while driving through Phoenix, looking for a restaurant to satisfy my husband's desire for a burger and mine for a soup and salad. The soup of the day is potatoe with bacon and chives- think loaded baked potatoe. Omigosh. So hearty and flavorful. The Cobb salad was ridiculously good -- and large!! My husband could not speak-- he was entranced by his basic burger on a pretzel bun. My son had the Texican half beef half chorizo. The beans are apparently amazing as is the potatoe salad.
