I came in a few weeks ago at a pretty dead time & the vibes were still fantastic! The decorations gave it almost a cabin/nature based feel, and the food was great. Awesome experience that we had while we were on vacation. The winds are incredible. The beers are amazing and plenty to choose from their pizza one of the very best. You can get a 9 inch or one that's slightly larger. The 9 inch has four slices which was perfect on top of our wings. Staff was incredible. I have been meaning to visit this place for a while and finally had an opportunity to stop by for lunch. The restaurant has its own parking lot, which is always a plus, though you should note that right past the front entrance there are steps, so if needing assistance, keep that in mind. The facility of not overly bright, which I didn't mind, and while music played, it was not obnoxiously loud. There were a reasonable beer options, and the one Whitney recommended, based on what I wanted, was superb! Service was very attentive, though not overly friendly which is OK as there was morning prep to do, and the place soon filled for lunch. It was evident that quite a few regulars stop by which speaks well for the service and food. Again, based on my needs, I was recommended to order a half sandwich rather than the full. It was a perfect pairing with fries and a cold brew! While the fries were a bit over seasoned for my tastes, they were nevertheless hot & delicious! The Pesto Chicken Sandwich was worth a return trip - soon! Or maybe it was the beer? The one negative, though I don't use public restrooms, was the cheap flimsy TP used in the stalls (there was a half roll on top of the toilet). The food was reasonably priced so there really isn't a need to cut corners this bad and seem so cheap on something so crucial. Other than that, I do look forward to my next visit! read more

Hubby & I had dinner here tonight for the first time. We arrived a little after 5:00. You seat yourself. We were able to find a table away. One of the bartenders was our server. He was super friendly and quick to help us. He provided excellent service. The building is really neat. It's super unique. I'm not even sure how to explain it. A cool laid back vibe, good food, fast and friendly service, what's not to like? The building is definitely old but I think that gives it nice character. I'm not into beers but my husband got a flight and liked all of them. The blackberry barbacoa calzone I got was unique and delicious! The prizes are reasonable. You can order from the QR code at the table but the wait staff still comes around and makes sure you're being taken care of. We came for their monthly Science on Tap presentation which was great. Honestly one of the best bars I have been going to for the past 4 years! I head in every Friday just to unwind from work and enjoy the ambience of the people. The service here is top tier always asking if I need a refill on my drinks or even if I place the empty glass on the counter it gets refill automatically! My go to meal is the mushroom Swiss burger with waffle fries, and hands down the best burger I've ever had! This place was a nice change for us to try something new. We have been trying out new beers a lot lately and found this place close to our date night venue for the night so thought we would try it. Walking in it is multilevel with open seating. You can order everything right from the QR code on the table or request a server to come to your table. We only ordered appetizers since we weren't that hungry and they came out quick and hot. The drinks we ordered came to our table in minutes. By far the worst food we had on our entire trip in Arizona. And we ate at McDonald's... The chicken sandwich was inedibly dry, ordered with teriyaki sauce however not a single drop, but the monstrosity of a cookie was the cherry on top. Just look at the oil in the picture you literally can't even pick it up. Its disgusting service was subpar. you could hear the bartender complaining about how the CO2 lines were leaking. I came here with a few friends for dinner after climbing nearby. They have $3 tacos for taco Tuesday which is a good deal and the tacos also come with chips and salsa. The salsa is a bit thin for my preference though. I got a barbacoa taco and a bbq pork taco. The tacos include unique toppings like berry jam, apples, and onion straws. My friend got the falafel sandwich with roasted veggies and it was better than I expected it to be. The service was good and there is a nice parking lot. The lighting is pretty dark inside and they have some outdoor gear decorations like a bike and kayak from when they used to be Boulders on Broadway. read more

This place is under new ownership and maybe they are getting their kinks worked out, but so far, my visit here tonight was lackluster. My hiking group meets here quarterly for our club meetings and tonight we were here in the upstairs area for our meeting. Looks like this place is now SaltFire Brewing Co. and they are from SLC. Fail #1. She then came over and took some of our orders. I asked her what was a good beer on tap, I like either a Hefeweizen or wheat beer. She offered up Konig lager, which I wasn't really interested in. But, she then could not really offer up anything else that I wanted. So, I went with the Konig lager. The beer came and it was pretty flat. Fail #2. Since it is Tuesday, they do have $3 tacos. I ordered one BBQ pork taco, hold the aioli (and tacos come with chips and salsa). Taco was probably one of the worst I have eaten in a long time. Salsa was bland, no flavor. Oh well. Fail #3, but at least it didn't cost my whole piggy bank. I then came home and took a look at their beer menu, and the staff really could've suggest one of their beers, like their farmhouse saison ale or even one of their wild ales. Anything would have been better than a flat, boring Konig lager. So far, this place did not impress me, but, I will probably have to come back as my hiking group seems to like to hold our meetings here, so we are a captive audience once every quarter. I just hope they can do me better the next time I am in here and for crying out loud, you're a beer company, offer me a beer that's worthwhile to drink already. read more

Now that it's Saltfire I believe the food has improved. Half priced pizza Mondays are a steal but be sure to check your receipt as I may have been overcharged. What sucks is they bring the receipt before payment with a "Non-Cash Adjustment Charge". HORRIBLE. They're adding it to all bills automatically. Plus, there is No signage or mention of that on menu and they didn't ask before bringing the bill if I was paying cash or not (I was). Don't bring a bill with a non-cash fee before confirming with the guest. They also don't list the % of the charge. Also, let's call it something less euphemistic like "credit card fee." It appears they also apply that charge to the Full Price/pre-discount which is terrible. Pizza was good but be sure to ask for it well done otherwise it's a bit doughy. Well drink prices very reasonable. Wish they had more and bigger TVs. read more

A canceled flight to Austin forced us to stay in Arizona and it felt like I was meant to check out this brewery and try out a few of their beers! It was quite late in the evening, and they still had some decent happy hours running on their beer on a Friday night, which I thought was pretty amazing! Plenty of seating was available and they had multiple sports channels on, including airing the highlights of a Euro 2024 game which we had missed during our air travel. I tried the Stone Hazy IPA and their Deep Dive Series (A rice lager) - both were really good. For food, I got their Carver burger with an impossible patties ($20) and got this with Sweet Potato Tots as my side. The burger was pretty good too, and the tots were delicious. Their staff, our servers, and service were all excellent, and our food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Noise levels were on the average end. read more

The food was inconsistent. We were a group of 6 and some had really good food and others was only meh. I ordered a cheeseburger, which is my litmus test for restaurants and they cooked it to perfection and the toppings were really good. I enjoyed the pretzel bun, but my son would've appreciated a choice of a plain bun. My wife ordered the fish tacos on special and they were very good. The boneless chicken wings were only ok as were the chicken tenders. The beef barbacoa tacos were tasty but the member of our group asked for no sauce and they came out sauced, the waitress returned them and they still came back out sauced. I came for the monthly Science on Tap, which was awesome! I didn't anticipate the crowd but managed to grab a seat. It then took me a full 20 minutes to figure out ordering, which is done via QR code. It required me to download an app, which was taking forever until I signed on to their wifi - which required my email so I assume I'm now on some mailing list. I selected a few items then managed to empty my cart and had to start over. A server did bring me water in the meantime, which was thoughtful. The app also had a $0 item to request your server come by, so it's not like you can't speak with someone. The beer list was decent but had a lot of grocery store brands, i.e. Sam Adams or even Deschutes Fresh Squeezed - love Deschutes but you can get that beer at most grocers or convenience stores. The menu is bar food but pretty extensive and included a number of specials. I was feeling the need for veggies and ordered an unusual Jerk Chicken salad that included pineapple, black beans, and pico. Points for having a creative salad! The chicken was a bit dry but not terrible. There was a lot of chicken compared to the other toppings but the app allows you to write comments so if I got it again, I'm sure I could ask for less chicken and more pico and black beans. It comes with "cheesy bread" which turns out to be a whole 10inch (ish) pizza crust with light cheese. It seemed a bit much but made me optimistic about their pizza being pretty decent. Ambiance is very neighborhood bar and the place is large. There's even an upstairs that looked pretty nice. The lighting was low but not overly so. It felt a bit impersonal to not interact with a server, but I was also attending a presentation so dropping off food or drinks was done quietly (but politely). As much as I struggled with the ordering through an app, it was very convenient for paying. You enter payment when you order, and close out when you're ready. I did find it a bit funny to get a service charge for paying with a card when it doesn't seem you can pay cash, but whatever. Vibe feels very dive bar - but it's big and they could pack in a crowd. We were there late on Friday night - and the bar was not overly full. The crowd was really what screamed dive bar - guys smoking weed out side and then coming in and being slightly annoying. Bar flies were watching, I think it was Spaceballs? And seemed completely into it. Thankfully other TV's had on sports. Bartender was nice. We ordered chicken strips and chips - it was good. First beer brought to me was the wrong one and he came over after I took a drink and pulled it away, saying, oops - wrong beer. Beers were not memorable. They have a massive tap selection that seemed to be focused on stouts, so all y'all complaining that all breweries only have IPAs these days (you're not wrong), this one is for you! Hidden gem on Broadway! My husband and I have been here quite a few times and every time has been awesome! Has a darker chill ambiance, similar to a pool hall. They have trivia night, and live music bringing a fun and dynamic environment to your dining experience. Servers are quick, attentive, and are knowledgeable about the menu. Now for the MOST important part... Their FOOD is absolutely delicious! Taco Tuesdays they have $3 tacos!! We had the shrimp & steak tacos, seasoned wonderfully, juicy, and very fulfilling with a side of chips and salsa. You hand in your answers after each question, so there's definitely more pressure to pay attention HAHA The steak salad was fantastic and I loved the crunchy onions on top. Very filling! Ordered the sweet potato tots also which had a smaller portion but were still really good. For drinks I stuck with the cider on tap (Blake's Hard Cider Co. Triple Jam) which was delicious and it was the biggest cider I've ever gotten! 22oz with $1 off for happy hour making it $9 (hand for scale) Very large interior which would make it good for group gatherings or after work happy hours. Was a little confused when we got there. We had reserved this place via Google, but I guess they don't take reservations on Trivia night. We had a party of 9, so I was worried we wouldn't all get to sit with each other. However, they did have a table that could accommodate our party. The menu is a variety of salads, pizza's, calzone, burgers, etc... Of course there is beer and drinks too. If I lived in the Tempe area I would go back.
