This place is amazing, they are 100% seed oil free and make their food from scratch. It is so tasty and healthy at the same time, it's hard to find restaurants that fry with beef tallow. Ordered online ahead of time since they make it from scratch (can take a while). We ordered up front and our food was delivered to one of the front patio tables. The vibe here was colorful and friendly. I ordered the MOO BURGER Which was pricey at $17.00. The burger was 1/3 lb hormone and antibiotic free Wagyu-Angus beef. Melted Cheddar cheese , crispy bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and SEXY SAUCE on a butter toasted sesame seed brioche bun. I also got some French fries which are also fried with seed free oils. My husband ordered the SEXY SMASH Which was a 1/3 lb hormone and antibiotic free Wagyu-Angus beef. It's a Semi-Smashed patty, melted pepper jack & American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and SEXY SAUCE on a butter toasted potato bun. My burger was delicious and I would order again. I would not likely order additional sauces or extra pickles. These add up quickly on your bill. Out the door spent $75 bucks on two burgers, two beers and one margaritas. This little spot opened up not too long ago on Mill Ave near the ASU campus. It's just a rocks throw from my office so I persuaded a few coworkers to check it out with me a little while back. I had to know if that was a smash or pass....from everything I've heard, it sounded as though I'd super like it....and I was right! The location off Mill Ave brings a lot of energy into this spot. Plenty of seating options inside and the service is excellent. We were seated quickly and our server was great. I went with the Sexy Smash, side or tallow fries with ranch (cause it's the greatest). This is my favorite local burger place. First found out about this place after driving by and thinking how rediculous the name was. Well, them I couldn't get the name out of my head and just had to look it up. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they make their fries with tallow! At first glance, the inside of the restaurant feels like a Red Robin but as you take a closer look, one finds what makes this place so special. From positive affirmations throughout, to the organic, sustainably farmed wine, to the high quality ingredients on the menu. This is a better place for us health conscious foodies! This place can get crazy busy on weekend nights, especially if there's a game going on nearby. We were fortunate enough to make it on a weeknight. Service was great. Our drinks & food were served promptly. Tried their Bonterra Pino Gris and that had a refreshing, smooth, higher end taste. The Moo Burger is juicy, flavorful, yet not overly filling. I ordered the larger order of fries which was a lot. I'd order the small one next time. The fries were deliciously crispy and tasty. The homemade sauces were just as yum. I could see some complain about the higher prices if they don't care about quality. I really hope more people patronize this place and that it sticks around for a while. First off, this food is delicious! Anything that is made fried is done in beef tallow as the oil, this gives a nice rich flavor. They are seed oil free and "chemical free", which I'm not sure exactly what that entails but sounds positive. Their website also says they exclusively cook with Beef Tallow, Olive and Avocado oil. All great options that I use at home. I fully enjoyed my smash burger, the loaded fries, and the milkshake was super good. I haven't had a milkshake recently and this was such a treat. We shared the loaded fries between 4 people, there were plenty to go around. We came here on a Sunday evening around 6pm after a 90s-2000s daytime dance party at Sunbar, so we had worked up an appetite after dancing for hours. The restaurant had plenty of guests but it was not slammed or full. However, we noticed kind of immediately that service was slow. It appeared to be due to only having 2 servers working and not sure about staffing of the kitchen. Everything took a while, but thankfully we had good company and where just hanging out. When items arrived it was so tasty, the slow pace was easily forgotten. Plus, the people working were busy so it wasn't for lack of their efforts, just not properly staffed for a weekend evening IMO. We were looking for a new spot to check out close to Tempe Improv. Sexy Burger had great reviews and a very appealing menu, so we decided this would be the perfect place for us! More times than not, when we request a burger cooked medium, it still shows up WELL DONE. However, the cooks at Sexy Burger know what they are doing. The burger came out exactly how we ordered it - Dressed up beautifully with all of the toppings! The burger was out of this world. Cooked to perfection, wonderful flavor, and mouthwatering toppings. YUM! Even the bun was incredible. Our expectations were exceeded. We also got an order of the Truffle Fries, which is a shareable serving. We were unsure of which dipping sauce would pair best with the fries, so our waitress brought us a little bit of everything for us to sample. I personally felt that the Garlic Aioli was the prime choice paired with the fries. Runner up would be their signature Sexy Sauce. The buns are fresh and not too chunky, but sturdy enough to hold up to all that goodness, and the toppings complement rather than take away from the experience of the burger as a whole (although shredded lettuce is questionable). Dark desire and Moo burgers are excellent renditions of mushroom burgers and the classic bacon cheeseburger. Ok - let's talk about the fries. IMO, they are the perfect fry spec: 1/2", golden, crisp-on-the-outside, pillowy-on-the-inside masterpieces fried in **beef tallow**. This is the way. They were a bit too salty and overdone my first visit but perfect on the second visit so consistency might need some work. I was very disappointed with my trip here. I went here on June 3rd for lunch with a coworker. Followed the instructions to seat ourself. Person at the bar offered us water while we wait. But after that nothing for 20 minutes. What made it worse is we were 2 of 5 people in the whole place so it's not like they were swamped. We were looking for lunch close to the ASU bookstore and decided to try this place. It's been open about 3 weeks. It has kind of a split level with some tables at a bar up a few steps. The menu is not huge - - One price for any of the burgers on the menu. They do not come with any fries so you have to order them separately. Theirb Buns are freshly baked each morning and none of the burgers or sauces contain any preservatives or chemicals or any other bad stuff. The fries are actually cooked in beef tallow - - they are so much yummier than fries cooked in vegetable oil, but kind of salty! If you don't like one of specialty burgers listed on the menu, you can build your own, which is what I did. We got a sexy burger, a build your own burger with just cheese and fresh veggies, and an order of fries. Everything was delicious. I have been to Sexy Burger several times now, and it has been a great experience each time. The first time I went there was when I was on lunch break during a workday. When I saw the high ratings Sexy Burger had, I decided to try it for myself. I really like the atmosphere, as it is very upbeat, colorful, and has plenty of televisions. When I went there the first time, I requested to sit at the bar area, and they were more than happy to allow me to sit there, as there were open seats in that area. Whenever I needed anything, they were always on top of everything, making sure I had everything I needed. Each time I have gone, I have gotten the Forbidden Bite burger with fries, and I have gotten a milkshake each time. The first time, they were unfortunately out of cookies and cream, so I decided to have the classic vanilla milkshake. Everything was delicious. Tasted fresh, and the burger was nice and juicy. The most recent time I visited, one of my closest friends had Sexy Burger with me, and he enjoyed it as well. I got the cookies and cream milkshake, and it was just as delicious as the vanilla milkshake. Both times, the owner has appreciated the compliments that my friend and I have given them for their great food, service, and experience. My friend even suggested that they could potentially have a window for customers who could order their food to go if they were ever on the run and needed to take their food with them. I think that would be a great idea, especially if they choose to remain open even after their main dining area closes. While they are a bit on the pricey side, the high-quality food makes it worth the price. The pretzels were a little confusing the pretzel itself was almost sweet. The queso that came with it was flavorful but VERY watery. The sexy sauce is sour. I got the a sexy smash with two patty's when it was brought out it looks so good. I took a bite and was met with the taste of charcoal, tasted burnt. It wasn't the smash crispy either it was like the taste of burnt grilled meat. I had to pour the super watery ranch on it to eat a quarter of it. And the bun got soggy very fast. Husband got the dark desire he also said the meat was flavorless. He also didn't get the black bun with it. The food is very good. Comes out fresh, nicely laid out and tastes great. Had the Moo (burger) with Truffle Temptation Fries. Again, it all tastes great. The fries came out with 3 dipping cups and each worked well with the fries. The sauce on the burger was great. The problem is the service. For a place that boasts being open for 2 months, it is not clear if they are having a problem finding good people or have a training issue. It is a decent size place and we were there as only the 3rd table being used. Just 3 couples, 6 diners for lunch. There were consistently 3 employees positioned behind the counter hanging out with each other, including our server. Yet, after the food was brought out, we did not see much of anyone again. We were provided no napkins so we got the attention of someone who said they'd bring us some. We never saw them again. So I went to the counter to get some, but they would only give us 1 each per customer. They were the cheap thin paper white tri-folded kind you get at Costco or Sam's Club. The burger was juicy which was wonderful, just drippy messy, and the truffle fries with 3 dipping sauces quite yummy but drippy messy, as well. We managed to make the 1 napkin work each, but let's just say 'we got their money's worth out of it'. No refills, not even checking to see if we wanted refills. There were a few other similar quirky things when it comes to their service practices, but I think you probably get what it is like there. Happy to give them the second star, primarily because of the food, but could not give them the full third star because of the rest of the experience. I'm thinking perhaps remain focused on the food, but ditch the waitstaff. Switch to counter service only versus struggling with providing table service. In other words, use a Five Guys type model. Voila', us customers get good food and simply get our own napkins, our own refills, etc. thus not having to work thru clunky service. We'll try them again in a few months if they are still open to see if the experience is improved and, honestly, to try different yummy menu items. read more

Another 15 min went by and we decided to just order to go and the server came and took our food orders. It took about another 20/ 25 minutes to get the food. I opened our fries immediately so we can all have a bite of something and they were cold and tasted old. We had already been waiting so long that I didn't ask for fresh fries because we didn't have time. We (5 of us) got in there when there was only 2 other tables who had already ordered / got their food. The milkshake we ordered was already melted because it sat there on the counter for who knows how long. The burgers were good, but not worth the $25 for the smash burger and full order of fries. They also gave me no sauce for my fries but didn't want to task them with finding ranch because they were already so lost. The restaurant had music playing and music videos on the tv with decor around the restaurant. The server while wasn't rude, didn't have any Customer service skills.
