Been a while since I visited Mill Ave. I've noticed that the price of everything in this area is now super expensive. Sexy Burger unfortunately fall into the expensive category. While the burger was cooked to perfection, I've had burgers that give customers much more for a price that is much less. Still worth a trip in , so check it out.

    Fun times on Mill Ave

Really good burger. We were hanging out on Mill and wanted to eat some yummy food. My husband found this place and wondered in. We ordered up front and our food was delivered to one of the front patio tables. The vibe here was colorful and friendly. I ordered the MOO BURGER Which was pricey at $17.00. The burger was 1/3 lb hormone and antibiotic free Wagyu-Angus beef. Melted Cheddar cheese , crispy bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and SEXY SAUCE on a butter toasted sesame seed brioche bun. I also got some French fries which are also fried with seed free oils. My husband ordered the SEXY SMASH Which was a 1/3 lb hormone and antibiotic free Wagyu-Angus beef. It's a Semi-Smashed patty, melted pepper jack & American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and SEXY SAUCE on a butter toasted potato bun. My burger was delicious and I would order again. I would not likely order additional sauces or extra pickles. These add up quickly on your bill. Out the door spent $75 bucks on two burgers, two beers and one margaritas. Times are expensive even in Mill but I would come back. Would stick to beer instead of pricey margaritas. I will give the credit that the margaritas was made with premium ingredients and tasted very good. Shout out to Don Julio Tequila.

This little spot opened up not too long ago on Mill Ave near the ASU campus. It's just a rocks throw from my office so I persuaded a few coworkers to check it out with me a little while back. I had to know if that was a smash or pass....from everything I've heard, it sounded as though I'd super like it....and I was right! The location off Mill Ave brings a lot of energy into this spot. Plenty of seating options inside and the service is excellent. We were seated quickly and our server was great. I went with the Sexy Smash, side or tallow fries with ranch (cause it's the greatest). The burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Loooved it! For the price, this is one of the best "high end" burger spots around. On a scale of 1 to 10, .....100% smash....this is not a one-and-done, I might be falling for this one.

This is my favorite local burger place. First found out about this place after driving by and thinking how rediculous the name was. Well, them I couldn't get the name out of my head and just had to look it up. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they make their fries with tallow! Seed oils have been getting a bad rap lately so I figured it was well worth a try to check this place out. We sat at the bar. At first glance, the inside of the restaurant feels like a Red Robin but as you take a closer look, one finds what makes this place so special. From positive affirmations throughout, to the organic, sustainably farmed wine, to the high quality ingredients on the menu. This is a better place for us health conscious foodies! This place can get crazy busy on weekend nights, especially if there's a game going on nearby. We were fortunate enough to make it on a weeknight. Service was great. Our drinks & food were served promptly. Tried their Bonterra Pino Gris and that had a refreshing, smooth, higher end taste. The Moo Burger is juicy, flavorful, yet not overly filling. I ordered the larger order of fries which was a lot. I'd order the small one next time. The fries were deliciously crispy and tasty. The homemade sauces were just as yum. I could see some complain about the higher prices if they don't care about quality. I really hope more people patronize this place and that it sticks around for a while. This is a new go to for me!

First off, this food is delicious! Anything that is made fried is done in beef tallow as the oil, this gives a nice rich flavor. They are seed oil free and "chemical free", which I'm not sure exactly what that entails but sounds positive. Their website also says they exclusively cook with Beef Tallow, Olive and Avocado oil. All great options that I use at home. I fully enjoyed my smash burger, the loaded fries, and the milkshake was super good. I haven't had a milkshake recently and this was such a treat. We shared the loaded fries between 4 people, there were plenty to go around. We came here on a Sunday evening around 6pm after a 90s-2000s daytime dance party at Sunbar, so we had worked up an appetite after dancing for hours. The restaurant had plenty of guests but it was not slammed or full. However, we noticed kind of immediately that service was slow. It appeared to be due to only having 2 servers working and not sure about staffing of the kitchen. Everything took a while, but thankfully we had good company and where just hanging out. When items arrived it was so tasty, the slow pace was easily forgotten. Plus, the people working were busy so it wasn't for lack of their efforts, just not properly staffed for a weekend evening IMO. I'll definitely come back and try other burgers since I'm a bit of a burger addict ;) if service is better next time I can update the rating. I would have given 5 if things were smoother. The food is perfect.

Amazing burger and wings. Delicious and fresh food. Quality you can taste. Service was alright. Nothing special. The atmosphere and ambance was pretty neat. I like the name, colors, and story. I would come back here.

We were looking for a new spot to check out close to Tempe Improv. Sexy Burger had great reviews and a very appealing menu, so we decided this would be the perfect place for us! The vibe is very colorful, upbeat & fun. There are lots of televisions inside, which had music videos playing & there was a great selection of music being played throughout the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly & attentive. When she realized this was our first visit, she walked us through the menu and gave us plenty of suggestions. Apparently they just opened up this year, so they are relatively new to the area. &Let me tell you, they are killing it thus far! We both got the Sexy Burger & requested that they be cooked medium. More times than not, when we request a burger cooked medium, it still shows up WELL DONE. However, the cooks at Sexy Burger know what they are doing. The burger came out exactly how we ordered it - Dressed up beautifully with all of the toppings! The burger was out of this world. Cooked to perfection, wonderful flavor, and mouthwatering toppings. YUM! Even the bun was incredible. Our expectations were exceeded. We also got an order of the Truffle Fries, which is a shareable serving. We were unsure of which dipping sauce would pair best with the fries, so our waitress brought us a little bit of everything for us to sample. I personally felt that the Garlic Aioli was the prime choice paired with the fries. Runner up would be their signature Sexy Sauce. The fries were cooked to absolute perfection, & once paired with the sauces - They were addicting! Another bonus to note is that most of their sauces are prepared in house!! We always love to hear this . I also LOVE that everything is prepared without using Seed Oils! They make the fries using Beef Tallow, which js great. All in all, we had a WONDERFUL experience here. I cannot wait to visit again very soon. They have an awesome selection of milkshakes on their menu. While we were eating, we noticed another customer enjoying a shake & we both agreed that we will have to try one next time we stop by! Everyone should definitely stop in and give Sexy Burger a try!

I heard about the fries fried in beef tallow and had to come try them. I actually ordered the truffle fries and they were amazing! Crispy yet inside was soft. I got the sexy burger and the flavors of Brie honey bacon perfectly blended with the seasoned tomatoes on the burger. Can't wait to come back and try the chicken sandwich and pretzel bites!

    Heat Wave Burger
    Elaine R.

Tried Sexy Burger for the first time and went with the Heat Wave Burger, definitely lives up to the name! Spicy, bold, and packed with flavor. The patty was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the heat had just the right kick without overpowering the whole thing. Fries on the side were crispy and golden, perfect for dipping into their trio of sauces: ranch, house-made ketchup, and the signature sexy sauce. The fries are also cooked in beef tallow, which made the fries taste amazing. All in all, you could taste that the ingredients were fresh and that this establishment actually cares about what they are serving you. I highly recommend checking this place out.

    Dark desire
    Sam L.

This place is the real deal. The burgers are peak--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and sizable. The buns are fresh and not too chunky, but sturdy enough to hold up to all that goodness, and the toppings complement rather than take away from the experience of the burger as a whole (although shredded lettuce is questionable). Dark desire and Moo burgers are excellent renditions of mushroom burgers and the classic bacon cheeseburger. Ok - let's talk about the fries. IMO, they are the perfect fry spec: 1/2", golden, crisp-on-the-outside, pillowy-on-the-inside masterpieces fried in **beef tallow**. This is the way. They were a bit too salty and overdone my first visit but perfect on the second visit so consistency might need some work. Sauces are homemade so let me tell you that ranch is insane and I can't wait to see what else they cook up! The owner gave us a sneak peek into some things to come which is awesome to see all the passion going in since it definitely shines through the execution. Easily going on my guilty pleasure rotation!

Great service, food and atmosphere. It was pretty chill with a couple of other people dining in when me and my sister showed up for dinner. Jazz was our server and was so friendly and helpful in sharing fun facts about the restaurant and menu. She answered our questions and did a wonderful job in serving us. I ordered the sexy smash 1/3 lb burger with melted pepper jack & American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and the sexy sauce on a butter toasted potato bun. I appreciate that the beef used is hormone and antibiotic free. I thoroughly enjoyed the burger. Every ingredient tasted fresh. It took me back to my childhood days of eating homemade burgers. Very nostalgic. I ordered the beef tallow fries for me and my sister to share and they were plenty. The fries were crispy on the outside and tender potato on the inside. I love some good French fries. Everything was very good and satisfying. Because this is in the Tempe courtyard off of Mill Ave. there is no restroom inside of the restaurant. A key is given and you have to go outside to the public restrooms if needed. Once we were done eating, Marco the owner stopped by our table to get our feedback. He was very nice and genuine in knowing what we thought. We gave him our thoughts on everything including the housemate ketchup he was working on to perfect. I will definitely be back.

I know we will be back here the food was that good. But one star off for this visit just because they have a bar but don't currently have their licenses for liquor or wine. I was sooo looking forward to a drink. They do have a small collection of beers on tap. Owners are AMAZING. Now onto the food 5/5 We got the Chicken Sandwich and my husband said it was the best chicken sandwich he has ever had. I am a chicken sandwich connoisseur lol it wasn't my favorite one ever but definitely top 5! It was absolutely delicious. Huge piece of chicken and man those toppings just got so perfect together The Sexy Burger was also Devine. The arugula on it yum yum. The truffle fries were some of the best fries I've had since I can remember. Came with all these sauces to try and I love me some sauce. The only other compliant- no bathrooms these burgers and sandwiches are MESSSSSSY. Messy heavenly goodness. But I am so turned off with not having a bathroom so I can wash the mess off my hands Oh forgot to mention the best part! No seed oils! Complete game changer for me. Everything cooked in beef tallow.

    The sexy burger - delicious!

Delicious burger spot in the heart of the college Tempe district. They're relatively new and are eager to stake their claim with creative and minimally processed cuisine. Burgers are a blend of angus and waygu, fries are cooked in beef tallow and the kicker is their judicious application of hot honey which creates a fantastic palette experience bite after bite. Ask for extra napkins!

I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

Loved this place!…read more First, we had to change our reservation, and the host could not have been nicer. On a busy Saturday night, he graciously allowed us to push it back by an hour, which we really appreciated. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed. The jungle theme, leopard prints, intimate booths, and dramatic overhead lighting created a fun, unique atmosphere. The service was excellent, the cocktails were delicious, and every dish we ordered was a hit. My son said it may have been the best steak tartare he's ever had (although neither of us was a fan of the plantain chips). It was certainly the best tartare I've had in a very long time, with generous chunks of high-quality steak instead of being overly minced. The baked brie dip was outstanding, the grilled oysters were excellent, and my New York strip was cooked perfectly. My only small criticism is that the oyster appetizer came with just three oysters. For a $19 appetizer, I'd love to see at least four. An even number also makes sharing much easier, although my son generously let me have the extra one! Overall, this is a fantastic concept with great food, great service, and a memorable atmosphere. We can't wait to come back.

We called about half hour before and made a reservation by phone. I was disappointed that my first order choice of the Seabass was unavailable and my second choice of lamb chops was also unavailable. Not sure if this is because it was a Sunday night and/or we made the reservation immediately before showing up. They were also out of the Melted Cast-Iron Brie Small Plate that we were excited about ordering for the table. We loved this restaurant because of the dark and jungle-themed interior. We were excited to see the bold taxidermy featuring the large cats combined with the ornate, gold- framed dapper animal art hanging on the walls. Another reason to love this spot: hidden inside is an entrance to a secret cocktail lounge, or speakeasy, called "Drop Dead Gorgeous." We also appreciated the entire restaurant centering around a glowing, raw wood-fire cooking pit. We could hear and watch our entrées being prepared. What we didn't love so much: the items that we would've liked to have ordered were unavailable. The price to portion ratio in the small bites could also be improved a bit. Great service from our waitress throughout the evening. We ordered: - Fire Roasted Bone Marrow for the table (3/5) - sourdough toast, jalapeño marmalade with demi. I was so excited to try bone marrow for the first time. It was interesting. Sort of like a mix between butter and fat from a steak. It tasted really good with the spicy jalapeño jelly and bread provided. I expected us to be warm and it came out cold. Still not sure if I like it or not. Maybe I'll give it a second try - White Oak Grilled Chicken Skewers (4/5) - served with shiso leaves, kimchi, shishito peppers. kosho aioli, lemon aioli, ssamjung for the table - Very yummy. We enjoyed these. We had actually changed our mind right after initially putting in the milk bread order for the table and they brought out the milk bread so quickly that our waitress said she would give this to us on the house. - Milk Bread for the table (4/5) - miso tomato butter, almond & Kalamata. Even though we changed our mind and got this sent to our table accidentally, I would order this again. It was very delicious and it comes out as an adorable little tomato shaped and colored milk bread with the toppings looking like the stem on top. So tasty and everybody loved it. A little small for our party of five. - Lemongrass Half Chicken (5/5) - Caramelized carrots, kyoto roasted garlic, mashed potatoes & jalapeno jam. Hubs loved this. He said everything was delicious and went well together. - Bomba Rice x2 (5/5) - Risotto, shrimp, linguica, chicken, piquillo peppers, green peas, kosher aioli & Parmesan. My son and his girlfriend both ordered this and said it was very good. - Shishito Caesar Salad add Chicken Skewers (5/5) - bonito, charred shishito peppers, ricotta salata, tapioca chicharron & togarashi. My daughter ordered this and said it was very good. - Spicy Peanut & Tomato Salad add Chicken Skewers (5/5) - peanut dressing, heirloom tomato, baby gem, daikon radish, onion, mala chile, whipped queso de cabra & sour nut. YUMMMM What a creative and unique salad! So glad I tried it. It has unique flavors that work well with each other and a crunch. There's also some heat that goes along with the salad. I was able to withstand it. My son would probably say it's not spicy at all. I'll be craving this salad for months to come. - Dad or Daddy Specialty Cocktail - bright, buzzed & stoned vodka, apricot liqueur, Riesling cordial, ginger, lime, topped with Red Bull Peach Edition (White Peach) - Fruity Mocktail - I asked the waitress if they had any mocktails and she asked me what I liked and gave me examples. Based on what I told her she brought me out a delicious fruity mocktail topped with fresh mint. Parking along the street at metered parking or in parking garage nearby. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.

This was a strong rum drink. Sweet, but strong. Really good though, very interesting flavors.

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. It felt like such a perfect date night spot or place to celebrate something special. The servers were also extremely attentive the entire night. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. Honestly, I'm sitting here craving the food again just looking back at the pictures I took. This is definitely one of those restaurants that sticks in your mind long after you leave.

The restaurant itself is very cute and clearly designed for photos, which matches what I saw on their Instagram. Service overall was fantastic. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the burrata and fig plate and was told they'd replace the bread with apple slices. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.

Since we were planning the event from out of town, having a team we could trust was incredibly important -- and Bailey and the entire staff handled everything flawlessly. Even the decorations were set up beautifully and exactly as we had hoped. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A special thank you to Bailey, the Event Coordinator, who was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was organized, responsive, and made everything feel easy and stress-free leading up to the event and the night of the dinner. The highlight was definitely the Rafter Room -- it was even more impressive in person than in the pictures. The space had a great atmosphere for a rehearsal dinner and made the evening feel really special for our family and guests. Highly recommend The Social Hall for anyone looking to host a private event in Tempe.

If your kitchen can't handle a simple order in a reasonable amount of time, don't accept DoorDash orders in the first place. What's even more frustrating is the complete lack of respect for customers' time. There was no urgency, no accountability, and no reason a two-item order should take longer than two hours. Accepting orders you clearly can't fulfill is misleading and incredibly unprofessional. I won't be ordering from Social Hall again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else waste their time either. Do better.
