As soon as you're through the door, entering Devil's Hideaway makes you feel as though you're underground. Narrow, arched hallways, colorfully-illuminated bricks, and loud music automatically set the mood and leave you ready to party. There's also a modest kitchen, and at the right time, a speakeasy. What I love: This was my first time trying a Spaghett. It sounds dumb, but enough aperol makes just about anything palatable. There's a pretty deep roster of beer/seltzer cans, too. The summer crowd was nice, and despite it being the off-season you still had brands doing promos and showing off new products. What I like: A small window in the back to order bar food. You won't regret the sliders! What needs work: It was early and not a particularly crowded day, but somehow the kitchen was out of quite a few items. When you step up to the bar, prepare to WAIT. A perfect place to drop in for a beverage, especially during happy hour. During happy hour they have offer 5 big cans of beer, 8 dollar wine, 4 dollar Jell-O shots and 5 dollar mix wells drinks. Plus this is a good time to pop in if you are looking for a calmer laid back time before the crowd comes in. The bar is open till 2am everyday so I imagine it gets busy late. Devil's hideaway has happy hour Monday through Friday from 4-7pm and my friend and I just had to check it out. A dirty Shirley was $6 and her tequila pineapple was $5 which was a steal. The drinks were so good and the ambiance was incredible. We played round of pool and hung out before it got busy. It was such a great time. We chatted with the bartender who was super nice. One of my favorite bars on Mill Ave. The inside is super unique and the drinks are fairly priced for the Tempe Mill Ave area. It is LGBTQIA+ friendly which makes it a very welcoming space. The music is always on point and they often have a DJ on the weekends. Their patio is fairly new and a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink. They also have a speakeasy in the back if you are feeling fancy or planning a date night. There were several bartenders ready to take our order but we let them know we needed a few min to look over the menu. We ended up ordering: 1 O.F.G. martini - $14.00 white claw pineapple vodka, passionfruit, lime, cranberry bitters, orchid 1 south of the border punch - $14.00 100% blue weber agave tequila, pomegranate, select apertivo, hibiscus, chili liqueur, lime 3 jello shots - $4.00 each 1 Huss Pink Pineapple Haze IPA - $10.00 My martini was delicious as it was not too sweet nor strong. My friends punch was strong and woooo that one had a kick. The IPA was smooth and had a goood pineapple aftertaste. The bartenders were attentive. It took us a while to find a table and we finally did by the pool table hidden in a corner. It was a high top for two but it would do. It was very hot here though so the AC must not reach this spot. We sipped on our drinks as we waited to be called into the speakeasy. Super cool spot and good drinks. The music was on point and we had a good time! Will be back. When Rula Bula left Tempe I was so sad and couldn't imagine someone taking their place. I wouldn't say it's anywhere near the same at Devils Hideaway, but it is FUN! Walking in, you can tell immediately that the space has been made to seem young, modern, and fun. The spray paint style vibes and neon lights and signs mixed with mirrors gives such an upbeat vibe. Service wasn't necessarily kind but it was fast and the drinks were good. The true star of the show is the tiny hidden speakeasy within the same walls. The ambiance is completely different. It's magical (almost lord of the rings elven style) and the drinks are INSANE. Service was absolutely amazing. We had such a great time at this location. Originally we were going to check out both bars but Tuesdays only this part of the bar is open. They have a decent happy hour and the bartenders were friendly I ordered the South of the border punch which quickly became my favorite They also had Jell-O shots available. Currently they only carry one flavor which is lime. So if you love the taste of lime you're in for a treat We ordered some fries as well. Very neat futuristic bar on Mill. Devil's Hideaway is the main bar and only serves drinks at the moment. I asked staff and in 2 weeks they will serve food. In 2 weeks their Idle Hands speakeasy will open too! Also, drink prices are very reasonable here, an Old Fashioned, and a beer together was $20. Parking is street & meter, I got lucky and found one right on Mill. 5th St, 6th St, and 7th St tends to have more. Also, metered parking is free after 10pm. FYI same owner as Pedal Haus & Sake Haus. Just opened a week ago and super close to my work so I hopped over to check it out. First, love the vibe waking in! Cool music going, loved the image and atmosphere it creates like you're walking into an hidden, underground tunnel with lots of exposed brick. There are two separate rooms with cool artwork AND soon a 3rd space that will be open in about a week that will have food options. There's a pool table and skee-ball game available, which I'm sure will be grabbed early, but cool option's if open. I was greeted quickly walking in and both bartenders were super friendly and made sure I was taken care of. I ordered a Heineken Zero (#soberlife). This place was great! Plenty of a seating available at 5pm on a Thursday. The inside had a dozen or so nooks in the walls with tables and really beautiful paintings! Ski ball arcade game and pool table were also available to use! I had the Spaghett which was surprisingly good, and this new food item they had on the menu that I don't remember name of, but it was absolutely incredible!!! 6/11/26 Went into the bar for my friend's birthday party and was having a fun time at the bar in the front. Found out there was a bar in the back and all 8 of us decided to go back there. Initally were greeted by "This isn't a library so you need to buy two drinks if you want to stay" by a shorter guy bartender. Weird, but we continued on and buy some drinks and cheers for the birthday and some drink gets on my best friend's dress on accident. I say sorry to her at the moment but didn't think much since we're all just having fun. Bartender waits a minute and then demands that I say sorry to my friend for spilling some drink on her or he's kicking me out, in front of the whole bar. I say "She's my best friend and it was an accident, what are you talking about?" I thought he was joking but he goes "Say sorry or I"ll call security". He gets security as he was completely serious and escorts me out and all of us walk out. A complete joke of a bartender and I will not be back if this guy is working. read more

Love that it has food til late and offers more elevated cocktails than the other bars nearby. Good vibe, the lights are cool but I do with they got a little darker later in the night. My two friends and I decided to check out some new bars on Saturday and arrived here around 5pm. It wasn't too busy. We sat at the bar and the bartender got our orders in right away. I ordered the expresso martini and my friends both ordered old fashioned. I like my expresso martinis more on the milky side so she added in a little Bailey's for me. It was pretty good! My friend's drinks were too strong and too sweet for me. The place seems small and narrow when you first walk in but there are extra tables around the corner. It wasn't too loud inside.
