I have passed by Monkey Pants Bar so often over the years but have never been inside. After perusing the aisles at Zia Records, I decided to walk right next door and check it out. The interior is super whimsical, edgy, and moody. They even have a Photo Booth, which are my all time favorite because if you don't have a photo did it even really happen?? Amirite?? I ordered a well drink of Crown Royal Apple and Sprite and an order of Lemon Pepper Wings tossed in Buffalo Sauce and oh. My. Gosh. Those were the best LP wings I've had in forever!! They were perfectly seasoned and crispy as well. My drink got the job done also. It wasn't particularly busy, but the service could've been a little better. On another visit I tried the wings, 10/10, they are deep fried, they are sauced, they are grilled, what comes out is a crispy glazed chicken wing with meat that falls off the bone, service is always 10/10, and of course a night isn't complete without a TouchTunes! read more

The holiday decorations are 10/10. So many Christmas lights and decor, it feels like one of those places in a Hallmark movie. We went to this bar on a Saturday night around 10:30pm and it was very busy. Majority of the people there were 30-50 years old. They have karaoke which was fun to watch for a few songs, but it felt like the type of place you'd see in "The Office"... a place where you'd go out for drinks with coworkers if there's nothing else to do. We ordered 3 burgers an fries last nite. We all agreed it was the worst burger we've ever had. Grilled onion on one burger had 3 small pieces less than 1/4 " . All the hamburgers patties were hard and overdone. The buns were so tough it was difficult to bite through. The fries were a small blob of grease on the side. We could barely lift an entire one up without it breaking. And it was a very small blob of potato. Very disappointed and we paid $58 for this! read more

MC Lyle Goldberg is very rude while drinking on the job. Called me a bitch for going up on the stage for my time to sing, the staff for the most part was fine and drinks were ok but karaoke was awful. Lyle Goldberg was the worst part of the night. read more

The name itself intrigued me, and there were no disappointments when I showed up. Immediately there's lights EVERYWHERE and the place was packed, but lively and everyone was having fun. Karaoke was going on, and the singing got progressively worse as the night went on, which I loved. Seemed to be very popular amongst the younger crowd, and everyone was vibing. The service was a little slow, but I can't blame the bartenders for that because the place was packed and they were definitely doing their best. Even the security stepped in to help with drinks which was nice. The aesthetics and vibe of the place was like a very clean dive bar, it was comfortable but didn't feel like it was rundown. There's funny subtle decorations everywhere and so much to look at. I want to return on a leash busy night to get food and see how this place is during it's not peak hours, but I will absolutely be returning. read more

MC Lyle Goldberg was extremely unprofessional during karaoke night. When my sister went up to him after what should have been our turn (after our song appeared to be skipped after we'd already been called to the stage and appeared for our turn at the mics) she calmly asked if there had been a mistake. In response, he called her a "bitch," which was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Skipping a song can happen, but speaking to a customer that way is unacceptable. The interaction felt unfair and hostile, and it was especially frustrating to then hear him ask for tips afterward. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone expecting respectful treatment or fair karaoke management. unethical animal abuse! Went here on a Thursday night and saw they were doing a goldfish race. Seems like a fun idea but logistically was HORRIBLE! Two pipes laid out, they place a goldfish in each pipe and they would race for victory. The 2 "men" running the event were definitely drunk. Slurring words and unable to properly coordinate the event. They would practically dead goldfish in each pipe and paying customers use a spray bottle to prompt the fish along. Just horrible and honestly unethical. Left the bar. read more

I was in town and wanted a drink and some food. When I arrived I walked in and was greeted. I ordered wine and a chicken sandwich with a great bartender (I don't remember her name). The food came out after about 15 minutes. I enjoyed the sandwich and drink and it was affordable. All in all I had a good experience. read more

Always good food, great vibe, and amazing service been here a few times in last 10 years and can't think of one bad moment

Over the years (pre-Covid and post-Covid), I have been to this location a handful of times. The staff is always friendly, and friends/co-workers often bring up this location when thinking of where to grab a drink/food for a night of karaoke or trivia. I've personally never tried anything but a drink, but pleasantly surprised they had some vegetarian options if I find myself wanting something. It's a comfortable atmosphere with a decent amount of seating. I'm sure I'll be back in the future! read more

Some women started her car and shined her brights into the smoking area. I yelled at her to turn her lights down. Security came over and harassed me, like a macho man, telling me I should just ignore the blinding light. Avoid this dump. Without giving any excuse other than, "I don't like your behavior", on Friday, November 22, just after 8:30p.m., I was not only denied service, but barred from ever entering the establishment again (I've been going on karaoke nights consistently for 6 years). When I pressed him about it, he chose to not to clarify. Since I'd never committed a crime and, as far as I knew, had a solid relationship with the employees, this was a bit of a shock. If I'd been given a chance to talk to the management, I might have been more inclined to accept that conclusion. Having a disability (I use a wheelchair), unless there's a bigger reason for me being denied entrance (theft, assaulting other customers, directly attacking the staff), what he did was basically illegal. You can't deny someone entrance simply because they make you uncomfortable or they do something like forget their wallet and have to go home to retrieve it, so they can pay their tab. read more

The food here is pretty solid bar food, def not healthy but what you'd expect. The service is usually solid. But my favorite is when they wrap everything in Christmas lights!!! It's so magical! And they do shirtless shots at 1am but it's funny because customers think it's gonna be a hot girl behind the bar taking off their shirt but it's usually like older not so handsome man lmao. Slow night, server was busy talking so the bar tender took our drink order. Server finally saw us and took our order. And eventually got us tools and napkins. Ordered a burger, wings and fries the burger and wings were good. Never got the sauce for the wings despite asking twice. We got the bottom of bag of fries. I didn't eat here but this is a super fun place to hang out on the weekends. They have a lot of fun and eclectic decor, and it's pretty big. They do karaoke on some nights, and the crowd is a mixture of college kids and older people too. It's a very popular place and I stumbled across it by accident. Joined my girlfriends, who had been here since 7pm. It gets pretty packed on Friday night for karaoke, so bring patience. BUT, to have a group with a good sized tab & have your table EVAPORATE from under you while people in your party go out to smoke, is Unbelievable! Neither Security nor our waitress, Alexis, would do anything about it. And, proceeded to yell at me (yes, it's LOUD, but there's a difference between talking loud and talking over someone and walking away when you let them know you want to be heard.) She apparently negotiated a table for us, but the people there never vacated. So, my girls & I closed our tabs. Nope, no tip. Total buzz kill, if I had a buzz... To top it off, the a/c seems broken. They charge you for drinks you don't get. Then a drunk dude spills his beer and a fight breaks out. If you want karaoke, beers & wings, I just saved you the biggest disappointment on Mill Avenue. Don't go to the stinky pants. They served us wings that had been ordered by someone else, poor guy had to take off running since they were extremely hot. The security dude brought us the same wings with a different sauce on top. The veggies (carrots and celery sticks) missing.
