They charge you for drinks you don't get. Then a drunk dude spills his beer and a fight breaks out. If you want karaoke, beers & wings, I just saved you the biggest disappointment on Mill Avenue. Don't go to the stinky pants. They served us wings that had been ordered by someone else, poor guy had to take off running since they were extremely hot. The security dude brought us the same wings with a different sauce on top. The veggies (carrots and celery sticks) missing. Grilled wings are good. Service (when not a weekend zoo) is great. Ambience is good. But if you're a karaoke fan ... here comes the big BUT ... karaoke has gone in the tank! The collection is lousy. What was supposedly supposed to be Chris Stapleton's 'Tennessee Whiskey' was some poor quality Nutech karaoke version with a female chorus in the background and pathetic music. Certainly not a Karaoke Version or a PartyTyme rendition quality. And, for another example they only had a single Morgan Wallen song ... even though at least 10 have been released between Karaoke Version and DC karaoke. Also, very aggravating, no way to review their song list. You have to turn in a slip and then they let you know if they have the song. Very, very poor for a karaoke bar. I will say the KJ was friendly and tried her best to make up for the short comings. A patron told me that several months ago the drive with their karaoke songs had crashed and the selection was now less than half of what it had been. Hmmm, did whoever was in charge think about backing up the whole collection a couple times because a crash is always just around the corner. C'mon Monkey Pants, get your act back together! read more

I'm so proud of my friend Stacie and I, we had to go through several cans. The food is decent, they have free popcorn (which is always cool) and most of the service is great but there is one server there that does not understand what a certified service dog is. Not an emotional one, a certified licensed service dog. She kicked us out to the patio which was messed up and sucked because it was cold out dammit so we had to do more shots to stay warm....FML. She said the dog was not allowed Inside. Learn what a licensed service dog is you idiot. Will I return? Possibly. Will it be my first option? No. Would have been but not after that situation. It is seedy. It is trashy. It is degenerate. But it's not so bad. It's a hot mess, but with karaoke. So many people were lining up to sing that it never stopped for the entire night. There's pub food. There's plenty of seating, inside and out. And most notably of all, there are shot specials for patrons who remove their shirts at 1am. I don't know how much cheaper they could make it when it was already like five bucks for two domestic pints. If you want to forget your night in south Tempe, just walk in here with 20 bucks and you'll be fine. read more

The music is phenomenal. Cheyanne is incredible at her job behind the bar. Polite, professional and efficient. The cook Casey was also top tier. We (a group of 75ish) literally took over their place and Kailey and Tasha (the manager but I don't remember if her name is Tasha) were so phenomenal!!! Kailey was by herself for a while with occasional help from other staff, and the manager came in when she got a call for help! They were so awesome and took care of us all without complaints! I've been here a handful of times for karaoke and trivia, and it's been great. Grunge bar with cool patrons. Tonight left a bad taste in my mouth though. Karaoke DJ took my song and had me 12th in line... an hour goes by and i'm in 16th. She told me that singing is for tippers. I always tip my KJ's, but it comes after my second or third song. I have never once been asked for a tip up front. Don't go here unless you're into this type of greasy behavior. There are better karaoke nights in the area where you won't be extorted to have fun. read more

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I felt like I needed to say something after the experience I had last night. A group of coworkers and I went on a Friday night and it appears they only had a couple of staff attending the entire restaurant. Service was slow, orders were incorrect, our server was rude and aggressive and made it seem like the reason for the issues were our fault. It took almost an hour for one of our group members to receive his drink, after 2 other group members found our server and asked about it twice. So I went into monkeypants to watch football. I got roofied and became very in trouble. Talked to Tasha the manager, but she said my behavior was lewd. I couldn't even open my eyes, let alone be responsible for my actions. This was in November. It is now March, and still 86d. Complained to the bar, but Tasha still denied me. Asked for owner, but the promised call never came. Do yourself a favor, avoid this bar at all cost. They are more worried about reputation as a dive shit bar than protecting women, and the owner and manager would rather ban you than do anything about it read more

What a hidden treasure!! My neighbor dragged me to this place after a day of me sitting in yoga pants and a messy bun on a Saturday afternoon. She mentioned "dive bar", so figured I wouldn't have to put too much effort into making myself look better than how I already looked. Threw on some "upscale yoga pants" aka leggings, a shirt and I was off. Located on the NEC of Southern and Mill in a strip mall, I recognized the place as the former "Pranksters" back in the day. People were hanging out on the patio which was a good sign, and there were plenty of seating areas as you walk in. Pool tables, TV's and the most amazing living room-like stage I have ever seen. Felt like I was on a hit TV show from the 80's. $4 drink specials that night which was awesome. An hour later, I realized a man was setting up for karaoke. Woo hoo!! Could this night get any better?? Signed myself up for a song which he didn't have. Bummer. Good thing I have an arsenal of songs listed on my phone that I can nail like no other. Ended up belting out Alanis and got a lot of compliments on that one. Maybe they were honest or maybe it was just the alcohol talking, but who cares. I'll take it!! Ordered 2 orders of wings which were supposed to be an order of 12 wings each (stated in their menu) Picked up the order and this is the puny size of their wings in photo. This is a decent karaoke dive bar that I've been to on several occasions, mostly for the karaoke and the company. Drinks are at a good price, and at 1am they give out free shots, which never hurts. The karaoke is pretty good. They don't have the latest selection of songs, but they have some classic hits in there that are a blast to sing along with. My biggest complaint is how the order of singers is chosen. I feel like if you're a girl or you tip you get bumped right to the front of the line. I wish this was a little more clear as the first time I put in a song request I waited probably 2-3 hours before my name came up. While it typically looks a little dark and dreary most of the year, on Christmas the place was brightly lit up with tons of Christmas lights and decorated with wrapping paper! I wish it was that way the rest of the year as I found it to be a much more vibrant atmosphere. I'll be back for sure, this place has been a classic with my group for a long time now, and despite its shortcomings, we've always had a great time. read more

To start off, the bar itself was cool. The sole purpose of going to a karaoke bar is to do karaoke. The lady controlling the stand however, did not understand that concept. Me and my friends got there at 10 and put in a song request right away. We didn't get to sing until 1 am after finally saying something to her. She let everyone else go before us. When we asked her about it she was aggressive and rude and claimed that we have been singing all night (we haven't). I ran into a few other girls who had a similar story. They said she was also being rude to them and letting other people go before them too. Lady with the black hair and sparkly mask, if you're reading this review, do better. Nice watering hole. 3 stars for one reason--Don't close your doors on your customers (ladies)until you make sure they either have a Lyft and Uber or a taxi! Several of us were stranded last night because the LYFT /UBER drivers were not picking up! Women got stranded! We had no way to get help --no one asked me once if I needed for them to call me a taxi!! Just because someone is NOT inebriated doesn't mean they don't need a little help at closing time--MAKE sure that your loyal customers are not left alone in front of your establishment in the middle of the night!
