Coach House is a year-round Christmas-themed bar. Located in Old Town Scottsdale, a block or two away from Fifth Avenue, there's a parking lot that was pretty full when I arrived. If you can't find a spot, you can find some free street parking close by (max of three hours). Ambiance (4/5): A lot of holiday pop-ups these days have entrance fees and expensive holiday-themed cocktails. You'll find none of that pretentiousness here. There's no entrance fee and no elaborate cocktails. The reason to visit is the multitude of Christmas lights that adorn both the patio and the indoor area. There are also a bunch of TVs which makes it a good spot to check out the game. It's mostly a patio bar, but there is some room indoors too. As well as Golden Tee and another game. Service (4.5/5): There's a bouncer checking your ID before you come in. From there, there's a larger bar inside where you can order a drink from one of two bartenders (at least when I was there) or a smaller outdoor bar with one bartender (at least when I was there). There's a cash discount (which I always appreciate). What that means is that they don't charge you tax if you pay by cash. While the bar was busy, the bartenders working were efficient. Food (N/A): Coach House doesn't serve food but they did have a Mexican food truck posted up on the patio while I was there. I didn't have any food during my visit though. Drinks (N/A): Since The Coach House is a dive bar, expect a full bar, but don't expect fancy cocktails. Ordering simple mixed drinks or beer is the way to go. They were out of Montucky Cold Snacks so I went with a Woodchuck Cider for $6. Affordable prices in the heart of Scottsdale... I'll take that any day of the week! Speaking of Christmas miracles, while I was sipping my beer on the patio, I saw two black SUVs pull up. A group of people came out of the cars and there was one person who I immediately recognized. Former NBA MVP and multiple NBA all-star Steve Nash! As a big basketball fan, having a brew at the same bar as a Phoenix Suns legend was pretty epic. On Christmas nonetheless.

Unfortunately, I have not heard back. Below is a copy of that email: Good morning, We came in on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 and ordered the Two 4 One Bubbles special. This is something we have ordered frequently in your establishment, most recently on March 8th, 2026. Every time we have purchased this, the Wycliff bottles have been $25. This means that we should receive 2 bottles for $25.01 based on the special listed on your menu. When we received the check, we were charged $50.01 for the 2 bottles. We pointed out the mistake to the bar tender who said the price was correct. We informed her that we have come here approximately once/month for the last year and the cost has never been $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She asked another employee to come over and we explained the same issue to her. She (we did not get her name) said she has been a Manager there for several years and that has always been the price. I told her we have ordered this special over the last year and we would never pay $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She refused to adjust our check. I asked her to show me on a menu where a bottle of Wycliff costs $50. Of course, she was not able to do that because it doesn't exist. We generally are very generous with our tip, as we consider this a good deal and the staff is usually great. - I have attached a copy of the receipt. We would like to continue to frequent Mother Tuckers, as we have always had a good time and like to bring friends visiting from out of town. I am hopeful this was an oversight by your employees and a refund will be put back on my credit card for the overcharge.

I ordered a pizza with basil and tomatoes, and while they gave a good amount of tomatoes, I felt like they barely put any basil on it at all. The sides also unfortunately missed the mark for me. The garlic rolls weren't great, and the buffalo fries were pretty underwhelming too. Nothing really stood out flavor-wise. The service also definitely could've been much better. We waited around 20-30 minutes before anyone even came over to take our order, which felt excessive, especially since we were already seated and waiting for awhile. We were also forced to sit outside, and leaves kept falling into our food the entire time, which honestly made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. One thing that also confused me was the whole ID situation. They checked our IDs at the door, then checked them again before seating us, and then AGAIN after we were already seated. Meanwhile, there were also kids being allowed inside, so the repeated ID checks just felt really unnecessary and confusing. I was also bummed because apparently they have pinball machines, but I had absolutely no idea until I later read other reviews. Nobody mentioned them, I didn't see signs for them, and I never got the chance to check them out, which honestly probably would've been one of the coolest parts of the experience for me. Overall, I liked the idea of the place more than the actual experience itself. There's definitely potential there, but between the mediocre service and the food not really delivering flavor-wise, I personally wouldn't rush back.

They also have pool and darts. Drinks are inexpensive and the bartender was doing great at getting our drinks to us. It's not fancy but it's exactly what we were looking for an afternoon hang out. I'm sure the place gets busy later in the day. All different parts of the place is covered in dollar bills with writing which makes for cool decor. They don't serve food but they said you can order from restaurants to eat there. Great place to grab a cold beer and relax with friends.
