Total dive bar but fun and friendly atmosphere. Have 3 pool tables and 1 dart board. If you like all types of music this is a good stop, everything from country to rap, so really a mixed bag of people. Cheap cold beers and .50 pool. Good place for an inexpensive fun night.

This place could be fun, but there was only 1 bartender who couldn't keep up and it wasn't the best experience unfortunately.

What we didn't realize at the time was that we had stumbled upon one of those dishes that would stick with us! So when Liquor Pig closed, we were genuinely sad to see it go, but then delighted to learn that the same chef was spearheading Wayward and, most importantly, that the legendary bone marrow poutine made its way onto the new menu. And thankfully, it's still just as memorable! The bone marrow is incredibly luscious, rich, and decadent, and the whole dish is the perfect indulgent pairing for Wayward's creative cocktails. The portion is also a great size for two people to share, especially since it's definitely a rich dish. We also tried the Jaew Chicken which was tasty and definitely a little different from what I'd normally order. It was a nice addition to the meal, but honestly, the poutine is the reason we'll keep coming back to this place! While walking through the restaurant, I noticed quite a few tables enjoying the bone in short rib taco board and those portions are serious. That platter could easily feed four people, so it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're dining with a group. All in all, I'm happy that Wayward has kept one of my favorite dishes from the Liquor Pig days alive. If you're looking for creative cocktails with something rich and indulgent to snack on, do yourself a favor and order the bone marrow poutine!

Wayward isn't just dinner--it's an unforgettable culinary experience. I'm already counting the days until I can go back. Bravo to Chef CJ and the entire team! Also, try the Green with Envy drink! Honestly, I have no idea how it got those reviews. Maybe they're paid, I'm not sure, but based on my experience I would not go back. The biggest issue was the service. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. After sitting down, we waited about 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. No greeting, no water, nothing. Eventually I had to walk up to the bar and ask what the procedure was. Do we order at the bar? Do you have table service? No one could give a clear answer. They just kept saying, "If you want, you can order here." That's not the point. If I sit down at a restaurant, I expect someone to come to the table and explain how things work or take our order. If the system is that you order at the bar, just say that clearly so people know what to do. The drinks were also very mediocre. Nothing special at all. Honestly, they tasted like something you could throw together at home with soda, alcohol, and ice. The surprising part is that the food was actually phenomenal. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. The dishes were delicious and probably the best part of the entire experience. But great food alone isn't enough to make me return somewhere with poor service and forgettable drinks. My recommendation is don't waste your time on a Sunday brunch. There are plenty of other brunch spots with good food and good service.

While it's not in the heart of Old Town, it's within walking distance. We stopped by on a Thursday around 9:30 p.m. While we were on foot, I noticed that they have a parking lot. Ambiance (4/5): Relatively small for a brewery, but your typical chill, brewery vibes. They have some seats at the bar, some high tops, and a small patio. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. The seats out there are a bit uncomfortable, but we couldn't pass up on patio weather. They have free water in the corner which is always a plus so you don't have to wait in line. Service (5/5): The bartender working was super nice. It's always appreciated when servers go above and beyond in providing a great experience. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more in my service experience at Goldwater. He exceeded my expectations. Food (N/A): I already ate previously so no food for me. There was a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. Drinks (4/5): I love trying local brews. At breweries, I typically get a flight so I can try out a variety of beers. This time though, I went with a pint. I couldn't say no to the Sour Rangers. I grew up watching the Power Rangers, so that was all the motivation I needed. An added bonus was that this beer is a sour. Not something you have every day, nor a style of beer that you come across very often. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. And it was a good one. Goldwater is my type of place. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

Goldwater has indoor and outdoor seating options. It was a warm day so we sat inside at the hi-top. I didn't see food options available but it is located next to a few restaurants. My husband and friend enjoyed their beer flights and since I don't drink beer, I was happy to see a cooler with wine and other options such as white claw, etc. the beer was poured directly from the fermenter tank. The staff were very friendly and explained they had to open the wine bottle and make the first pour which was fine with me. We look forward to coming back in the near future.

My husband ordered the steak and fries, and I had the broccolini. The brocollini was AMAZING-- the best I've ever had! Everything we ordered was delicious, and we enjoyed our dinner. We did order a side of buffalo sauce and ranch, which came in very small cups. Both sauces together were an additional $3, which I thought was pretty excessive considering the amount we received. Overall, we had a great meal and would definitely consider going back. Just be sure to check the menu and watch for the additional charges.

There are also lots of plants around to offer a balance of green and brown to the scenery. During our time here, there was a large party taking about half the dining area so the service times were impacted. We came in as a party of 5 with a wait time of about 20 minutes. This was totally fine since we did not have a reservation. During the wait, we partook in their game area which helped us pass the time. All the games were fun, free, and open! Our food was pretty good. I ordered the wings, Caesar salad, and broccolini. The wings were of good size and flavor. The Caesar salad was pretty decent, but the amount of lemon in the dressing was a bit overpowering. I was making pucker faces as I was eating and let my girlfriend finish the salad. She agreed that the lemon was much stronger than other salads, but she enjoys lemon so she was okay with it. I tried her Wagyu cheeseburger (happy hour meal) and unfortunately both of us felt like the meat itself was lacking lots of flavor. My sister ordered the OG chicken sandwich and she said it needed more sauce for flavor. I will confidently say my favorite food of the night was broccolini. The cook was perfect and the flavor was great! I would recommend that side to everyone! As I stated before, there was a large party during our meal, so service time was admittedly slower than expected and we had to remind our server to bring us spoons for our desert, for a to go box, and for a water refill. Since it was busy and packed, I understand it could be difficult so I won't judge it too harshly. I will say one of the food runners, Shaye, supported our table and was very kind and understanding when we flagged her down for something. She really made our experience that much better with her attitude and speed! Given all of the information above, 4/5. Improvements on the food would make it 5 stars for me.

I Ubered but like most of Old Town Scottsdale, there's plenty of free street parking. You may need to circle around during peak hours, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (3/5): Pour Decisions is an open air bar, and a pretty expansive one at that. Beyond the open-air area, there's also a spacious patio and a rooftop. I love a good rooftop. With it being Phoenix, when the weather cooperates of course. The aesthetic of the bar was too "Instagram culture" for me with neon witty quotes and such, but some people are into that. Service (2.5/5): It took us about 10 minutes for the bartender to greet us while we were sitting at the bar. It got to the point where we were wondering if anyone was working. Luckily, after a slow start, service was pretty decent after that. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (3/5): The menu matches the vibe. The cocktail list has some pretty fun options, but of the overly sweet variety that lacks sophistication. I couldn't help but order a cocktail that was served in a cowboy boot-shaped glass with a popsicle in it. Fun for the novelty of it but it was a mediocre drink. While I am being a little critical, Pour Decisions has its purpose. If you're looking for a spot to hang out in a big group, Pour Decisions is solid given how large of a space it is.
