Hands down the best Christmas bar in Scottsdale! Love the ambiance and music they play. And they have great happy hour deals.

Went there on a Tuesday afternoon! Great friendly bartender! Amazing drinks and vibes were vibing. Honestly great pizza too! Tried the Happy Hour 12inch pizza with mushrooms. Fresh, had mushrooms in every bite! This place has the new Deep Eddys flavor, pineapple! Tried the frozen horchato and the frozen pineapple drinks too. Yum! Loved the house made prickly pear margarita the best!

Late night stop on a Sunday and we still had great service and good food! We had tacos and a hot pretzel.

    Cool random swing!

My friends and I randomly stumbled upon this gem on a Tuesday evening and to our surpise, they had trivia! Since then, we've been coming every Tuesday, and each visit has been a blast. We've always made friends, whether with the staff, locals, or people from out of town. Xander, one of the bartenders, and Kevin, who runs trivia on Tuesdays, are some of the coolest and most genuine people you'll ever meet. The bar has a quirky charm with Christmas lights everywhere, a cool random swing, and a unique drink wheel you can spin (for a fee). The bar food is pretty good, my friends and I usually get the "build your own sampler" and they really fill that tray up. It's reasonably priced, just like the drinks. I've also tried their sandwhiches, which are huge and delicious! Its always a fun time at Gilis! Whether it's Halloween, Christmas, sports, or our favorite TRIVIA NIGHT, you definitely need to check this place out if you're in town. 10/10 recommend!

Came in to watch the Super Bowl. Great atmosphere with Xmas lights on the ceiling. Bar has over 20 TVs and the bar staff were awesome. We were bar hopping and didn't stay for food so I can't give a review.

Whatta time! This place is a MUST visit. Fun history and great bartenders. Go see my main guy Danny, best jello shots around.

Whatta time! This place is a MUST visit when in Scottsdale. Fun history, great bartenders and always a lively crowd. Go see my main man Danny for the best Jell-O shots in old town.

Do they show the football games outside? I wanna go watch the Bears play tomorrow but I need outside seating so I can bring my dog.? I've tried calling, but no one answers…

Giligin's has 2 Big Screen TV's on their patio. And if you need to step inside 4 legged friends are welcomed inside as well.

Is this the place that has the hot wing challenge...2 dozen in 10 minutes I believe?

Sometimes the best spots are the ones you don't plan for. The vibe here is pure charm: cozy, rustic, and full of that laid-back country feel that makes you want to kick back and stay awhile. Live music was playing, and it set the perfect tone for the night--talented musicians, great energy, and not overpowering so you can still have a conversation. Drinks? Well-priced and generous. In a town where cocktails can easily break the bank, this place keeps it real without sacrificing quality. The bartenders were friendly and quick, which is always a win. If you're looking for a spot that feels authentic, has great tunes, and won't drain your wallet, Old Town Tavern is it. The band, called "Dayweather" was awesome and they covered all genres from Beatles to Weezer including a lot of mash ups, which were so much fun! The played three sets! We thought about going somewhere else but the music, dancing and overall vibe kept us there. There is table service and even for a busy night it was very good. There is a really nice patio too when it is not too hot out. This place doesn't feel too bougie like some of the places in Scottsdale -- this is where the real people of Scottsdale go to relax and let there hair down! However, the walls have a counter with the stools, so you can order food and eat there! It's super crowded all the time (this was our third attempt getting my inside across 2 days), but so worth it! Our drinks were made quickly, but ordering them was a little trickier. They didn't have many people working (2? 3?) so it was easier to order at the bar then flag down a server. With it being a small space, it was would've been nice to order from a server. We had the prickly pear margaritas and the house margarita. While they tasted good, I'm not sure how authentic they were. But they were served icy cold, so can't complain too much! They were also a decent price. We also had their red pork and green pork tamales. The red was my favorite, with a hint of spice and flavorful pork. The green one was good too. We also had their nachos, which were pretty classic and appreciated by the group! Food came out in about 20-30 minutes. Prices were reasonable too. The best was the live music-- It's free! Lots of country classics. I would arriving around 1/1:15 pm, finding a seat, getting a drink and ordering food, and listening to the well-played tunes. It only has 1 small TV, so I'd go somewhere else if you're looking for a bar/pub to watch sports. Coach House is a year-round Christmas-themed bar. Located in Old Town Scottsdale, a block or two away from Fifth Avenue, there's a parking lot that was pretty full when I arrived. If you can't find a spot, you can find some free street parking close by (max of three hours). Ambiance (4/5): A lot of holiday pop-ups these days have entrance fees and expensive holiday-themed cocktails. You'll find none of that pretentiousness here. There's no entrance fee and no elaborate cocktails. The reason to visit is the multitude of Christmas lights that adorn both the patio and the indoor area. There are also a bunch of TVs which makes it a good spot to check out the game. It's mostly a patio bar, but there is some room indoors too. As well as Golden Tee and another game. Service (4.5/5): There's a bouncer checking your ID before you come in. From there, there's a larger bar inside where you can order a drink from one of two bartenders (at least when I was there) or a smaller outdoor bar with one bartender (at least when I was there). There's a cash discount (which I always appreciate). What that means is that they don't charge you tax if you pay by cash. While the bar was busy, the bartenders working were efficient. Food (N/A): Coach House doesn't serve food but they did have a Mexican food truck posted up on the patio while I was there. I didn't have any food during my visit though. Drinks (N/A): Since The Coach House is a dive bar, expect a full bar, but don't expect fancy cocktails. Ordering simple mixed drinks or beer is the way to go. They were out of Montucky Cold Snacks so I went with a Woodchuck Cider for $6. Affordable prices in the heart of Scottsdale... I'll take that any day of the week! Speaking of Christmas miracles, while I was sipping my beer on the patio, I saw two black SUVs pull up. A group of people came out of the cars and there was one person who I immediately recognized. Former NBA MVP and multiple NBA all-star Steve Nash! As a big basketball fan, having a brew at the same bar as a Phoenix Suns legend was pretty epic. On Christmas nonetheless.
