Small dive bar with limited seating and a small bar so good luck trying to grab a drink. However, once it's your turn, the bartenders are quick and efficient. This is a really fun and iconic bar! Has a Southwestern feel to it. It's quite small, so you most likely will end up standing or on the stools near the walls. However, the walls have a counter with the stools, so you can order food and eat there! It's super crowded all the time (this was our third attempt getting my inside across 2 days), but so worth it! Our drinks were made quickly, but ordering them was a little trickier. They didn't have many people working (2? 3?) so it was easier to order at the bar then flag down a server. With it being a small space, it was would've been nice to order from a server. We had the prickly pear margaritas and the house margarita. While they tasted good, I'm not sure how authentic they were. But they were served icy cold, so can't complain too much! They were also a decent price. We also had their red pork and green pork tamales. The red was my favorite, with a hint of spice and flavorful pork. The green one was good too. We also had their nachos, which were pretty classic and appreciated by the group! Food came out in about 20-30 minutes. Prices were reasonable too. The best was the live music-- It's free! Lots of country classics. I would arriving around 1/1:15 pm, finding a seat, getting a drink and ordering food, and listening to the well-played tunes. It only has 1 small TV, so I'd go somewhere else if you're looking for a bar/pub to watch sports. Our first stop when we landed in Scottsdale, Arizona was the Rusty Spur Saloon ‼ The Oldest Bar and last Cowboy Saloon With Live Country Music 7 Days + 7 Nights a Week! It's actually a historic building dating back to 1921 when it was a bank! Great cowboy vibes! You place your drinks and food orders at the bar. There are 2 unique bar stools! We stopped by several times throughout our visit- enjoyed the cold drinks and country music! Absolutely love this: Leave a dollar on our wall! I'm not sure you can stop in Scottsdale and not visit the Rusty Spur. My friend and I had a mini crawl on a Thursday afternoon. We popped into the Rusty Spur around noon and were able to get a table. I opted for a margarita and he had a beer. There are no draft beer options available here. Bartenders were all extremely friendly and engaging. Rusty Spur is not very large, will get packed, but is an obligatory stop in Old Town. I'm glad I stopped in. read more

Went here two nights in a row with my friend last weekend, just the two of us, nothing crazy. Both nights we ordered the exact same thing, 2 Coors Lights and 2 Tito's. Night one tab: $32. Cool, no issues. Night two tab: $40. For the exact same drink order! I ask the bartender what changed, thinking maybe something was rung in wrong. Nope. She casually tells us they now do "surge pricing." I'm sorry... what? I actually thought she was joking. Since when are bars Uber? That's not "surge pricing," that's just price gouging. We visited Rusty Spur Saloon in Old Town Scottsdale as a group of four. We were genuinely excited to check it out since it's one of the oldest and most well-known spots in the area. We waited about 30 minutes in line on a Saturday night, and the place was packed. While we were outside, we could see and hear the live band playing, which was great -- the music and energy had us looking forward to going in. Unfortunately, once we got inside, the excitement quickly faded. It felt like we had eyes on us the entire time. People were openly staring and not making room for us to move as we tried to make our way toward the bar. We ordered three drinks, but the uncomfortable atmosphere didn't improve. What made the experience worse was when someone approached a member of our group and asked if they had any "extracurricular activities" on them. It was completely inappropriate and made us feel even more unwelcome. Overall, it was a very strange and uncomfortable experience. We won't be going back and wouldn't recommend it, especially for people of color. read more

Ah, yes! The Rusty Spur Saloon is my kind of place! I love the vibe of this small, honkey-tonk, country-western "saloon." The servers and bar tenders are very personable. I like the Saturday afternoon vibe which includes a live country western single-double person(s) performers that take requests. After a few beers, I find myself singing along with yhe one-man band if I didn't eat any munchies to coat my stomach! LOL! Came here on a Monday night and was pleasantly surprised that the place was packed with people (albeit mostly tourists), but was still fun to listen to some live music (mainly Western and pop covers) and do a little dancing. I have heard about the multi-talented owner who is a bartender, chef, and a great singer apparently while he is making drinks sometimes!. It's a classic dive bar. It was packed on a Tuesday night. I was a little skeptical going in because I saw a fight almost break out between a bouncer and a patron who was being guided out. It was fine once we got in. On a Saturday night we visited Rusty Spur Saloon where there was live music playing. No minors allowed, which is how I roll, and a plus was that they did not charge for live music. Even better! The setting was fun, lively and like its roots, a classic, country saloon, so expect those kind of tunes playing here. The space inside is small, so it gets crowded on a Saturday night. This also means it gets hot and sweaty because of how many people are here. But that doesn't stop anyone from dancing and singing along! The bar in the back serves nothing fancy. They have your basic drinks, like bottled beers and well drinks. The floors are sticky; it reminded me of partying at the frat houses in my better days. We had a fun time here. Rusty Spur Saloon is a classic, divey bar with cheap drinks and chill people. It was the only bar, or perhaps, establishment in Old Town that was still open later than 9PM, yet is walking distance to the nightlife district in Scottsdale.
