    Danny Worsnop playing at Rockbar

Rock bar has always been great I've been going since 2013! Putting aside the pandemic years I've seen bands like flavia, saving able and most recently Danny Worsnop. Service is has always been great and ticket prices have always been unbelievably fare considering the size of the venue/ bar. Over the years they became an eagles bar and opened a kitchen. But the one thing you can count on is a good drink and a good time. The rooftop patio might have a dj, you might need to reserve a table, and some might call it a dive bar but it is a one of kind experience and a Scottsdale staple ! The owners Brian and Alex are great and have always been very connected to the music industry. Somehow a local "dive bar" in Scottsdale gets some of the best musicians in the country! It's very customer friendly and very neighborhood friendly. Nima has been working there in some capacity for over 12 years and you can definitely count on him for good customer service and professionalism.

I have to say we had delicious Michelada's. It's 4th of July so it's a bit dead in here we will have to come back looks like live music and love that they have a bar up on the roof

Amazing bartender great location and the roof top is a plus!!! We had the meatball trio and pretzel bites. Both were yummy. This is my to go place when I'm in the area sit up on the rooftop. It has great atmosphere.

Nice venue to host a grad party! There was plenty of space up on the rooftop. This place is nestled in the charming Scottsdale shops in historic downtown. The bar tenders made sure we had plenty of drinks! Downstairs looked like a great country vibe. I'd like to see it with a band on its stage- I know I'd like that!

Worse service ever asked for a vodka water. He poured vodka over ice. Told me "water is in at the end of the bar" and pointed to the end of the bar. WOW.

Being from the Philadelphia area, I obviously have a bias with this review. I was there Super Bowl weekend. It was PACKED with Eagles fans. The bartenders were on the spot with their drink making. Their pizza was very good. The wings were big, meaty, crunchy, and very tasty. Beyond that, it's a notch above being a 'dive bar'. But, I go there for the company, and to get some good bar food.

I sent an email directly to the company (management@mothertuckerstavern.com) on Monday, April 6th…read more2026 in an attempt to have this resolved without posting a negative review. Unfortunately, I have not heard back. Below is a copy of that email: Good morning, We came in on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 and ordered the Two 4 One Bubbles special. This is something we have ordered frequently in your establishment, most recently on March 8th, 2026. Every time we have purchased this, the Wycliff bottles have been $25. This means that we should receive 2 bottles for $25.01 based on the special listed on your menu. When we received the check, we were charged $50.01 for the 2 bottles. We pointed out the mistake to the bar tender who said the price was correct. We informed her that we have come here approximately once/month for the last year and the cost has never been $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She asked another employee to come over and we explained the same issue to her. She (we did not get her name) said she has been a Manager there for several years and that has always been the price. I told her we have ordered this special over the last year and we would never pay $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She refused to adjust our check. I asked her to show me on a menu where a bottle of Wycliff costs $50. Of course, she was not able to do that because it doesn't exist. We generally are very generous with our tip, as we consider this a good deal and the staff is usually great. - I have attached a copy of the receipt. We would like to continue to frequent Mother Tuckers, as we have always had a good time and like to bring friends visiting from out of town. I am hopeful this was an oversight by your employees and a refund will be put back on my credit card for the overcharge.

We walked in and for a Sunday afternoon, it was pretty empty. However, we thought why not, plenty of game day viewing options with all the TV's. It was decorated cute for Halloween and the bartenders seamed to know most the customers. Appeared to be a regulars bar. We sat down at the bar and ordered drinks. I didn't catch her name but the bartender was very friendly and attentive. Right after the drinks arrived the music started. It was so loud! You could feel the base in your chest! We could hardly hear each other talk over the music. Turns out there was a DJ we didn't notice when we walked into the bar. Now, the DJ's music playlist was great. However, it was so loud and played over all the games except they would pause during one of the games once in a while. I suspect they were trying to draw in a crowd but clearly that was not the way to do it when it's game day and people were obviously there to watch the games. We wanted to try something to eat off the menu but only stayed for a drink and left. It was just a miserable atmosphere with the loud music at 1pm in the afternoon. Lastly, we noticed the receipt had a "venue fee" charge. What is that and why? Why are we paying to sit at a bar? Just be aware of added fees charged to your ticket.

I took it as a sign. It was meant to be. I immediately sat down, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and left work behind. The AC came on at the perfect time. I cool down with a cup of water first, and explored the menu. Probably because of my defeated and exhausted look, the bartender came straight to me. I ordered the sour from their rotating menu. I appreciate the attentiveness of her, but also appreciated that she let me be during the visit. Seems like there were some usual guests there, so they were chatting away. I also left with a few cans of beer to-go. I love that they have a fully stocked fridge for the to-go needs!

While it's not in the heart of Old Town, it's within walking distance. We stopped by on a Thursday around 9:30 p.m. While we were on foot, I noticed that they have a parking lot. Ambiance (4/5): Relatively small for a brewery, but your typical chill, brewery vibes. They have some seats at the bar, some high tops, and a small patio. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. The seats out there are a bit uncomfortable, but we couldn't pass up on patio weather. They have free water in the corner which is always a plus so you don't have to wait in line. Service (5/5): The bartender working was super nice. It's always appreciated when servers go above and beyond in providing a great experience. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more in my service experience at Goldwater. He exceeded my expectations. Food (N/A): I already ate previously so no food for me. There was a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. Drinks (4/5): I love trying local brews. At breweries, I typically get a flight so I can try out a variety of beers. This time though, I went with a pint. I couldn't say no to the Sour Rangers. I grew up watching the Power Rangers, so that was all the motivation I needed. An added bonus was that this beer is a sour. Not something you have every day, nor a style of beer that you come across very often. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. And it was a good one. Goldwater is my type of place. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

I Ubered but like most of Old Town Scottsdale, there's plenty of free street parking. You may need to circle around during peak hours, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (3/5): Pour Decisions is an open air bar, and a pretty expansive one at that. Beyond the open-air area, there's also a spacious patio and a rooftop. I love a good rooftop. With it being Phoenix, when the weather cooperates of course. The aesthetic of the bar was too "Instagram culture" for me with neon witty quotes and such, but some people are into that. Service (2.5/5): It took us about 10 minutes for the bartender to greet us while we were sitting at the bar. It got to the point where we were wondering if anyone was working. Luckily, after a slow start, service was pretty decent after that. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (3/5): The menu matches the vibe. The cocktail list has some pretty fun options, but of the overly sweet variety that lacks sophistication. I couldn't help but order a cocktail that was served in a cowboy boot-shaped glass with a popsicle in it. Fun for the novelty of it but it was a mediocre drink. While I am being a little critical, Pour Decisions has its purpose. If you're looking for a spot to hang out in a big group, Pour Decisions is solid given how large of a space it is.

A few of the bartenders have a certain je ne sais quoi.... unfortunately not the warm, welcoming kind. There's a level of attitude that just doesn't match my personal experiences or memories of this place. The crowd has changed too. Different energy, different vibe, and maybe just not one I blend with anymore. Suppose I've grown up and maybe it's time to move on. It's a shame because this place was genuinely a staple for me and earned those five stars once upon a time. Back then, it was the staff and the atmosphere that made it. Of the latest visits, the only person who carried that same familiar energy was Derek. He wasn't even behind the bar, but as always, it was a pleasure seeing him. Not the five-star spot for me that it once was, but maybe it's just become a place for the next generation.
