Went here for Jazz night. Loved the two playing the jazz, it was peaceful and very elegant feeling. Classy. The espresso martini was the best I've had, and the porn star and spritz were tasty as well. Champagne wasn't my favorite but I'm not super familiar with champagne so maybe that's just me. We also got the zeppole and they were fantastic. Very salty prosciutto, but very yummy. Our waitress was extremely attentive which was refreshing. Only two complaints really. The jazz stopped for almost half an hour, which was right in the middle of our time slot, so that was a bit of a bummer since we missed most of the jazz while there. And also just the price for me. The drinks are $20-30/each, which makes sense for the location and I don't blame them, but just not ideal for the average joe such as myself. Definitely save it for special occasions. read more

Went to check out Bar Bambino for a girl date after dinner at Elephante. First - ambiance in here is 9/10! Love the vibe with the disco ball, decor, low lit, and intimate. Our Elephante server mentioned there were dancers but our Bambino server clarified it's after 9:30/10pm so didn't get a chance to see them. Only reason I can't give 10/10 for ambiance is the seats are a little uncomfy. My friend sat on the booth and is taller, she mentioned she was uncomfortable for the arrangement. Drinks - 10/10. If you don't see something that speaks to you, ask your server and they'll customize whatever! Our server was very accommodating and knowledgeable with what they had, what they could make, etc.. She made excellent recommendations based on what we described we liked. Didn't try any of the food since we had already eaten dinner before, but I would definitely come back to the spot. Found bar bambino on yelp and made reservations online for Sunday as Saturday was full. Once inside it was not busy and there was plenty of empty seats, could've got in without a reservation. The bar lounge area was dimly lit and very nice inside, 70's music was playing and not too loud so you're able to have a conversation. You check in at the front, right by the Elephante host stand then you are escorted into a 70's style lounge full of comfy seats and a giant disco ball. The cocktail offerings are similar to Elephantes and a snack mix is provided. We each had an espresso martini - specifically the Lavande - which is a DREAM of a drink. Set up reservations on a Saturday and so glad we did. Place became busy quite quickly, not sure if they take walk-in's but wanted to play it save. Love the vibe in here. Glass top ceilings, wood and a semi dark ambience. Good music, comfy lounge chairs and a very attentive staff makes for an amazing speak easy bar. Definitely a classy feel, perfectly for Scottsdale. Drinks were grate, but I will say as other speak easy bars have gone, they rank about a 4 out of 5- delicious but a little pricey and not super strong for the price. Regardless I like how they provided some snacks which not too many bars do so that is definitely a plus! I would return again for a fun night or date night! read more

Came here as a party of three on Valentine's Day, really looking forward to a special night out. When we were seated, our server let us know we had the table for an hour and a half, which was understandable given the holiday. The ambiance was great, the drinks were good, and the dancers added to the speakeasy vibe. About 20 minutes before our time was up, our server informed us that we were only halfway to our minimum spend, after we had already ordered two drinks each. This was the first time we had heard anything about a minimum. We were completely blindsided. I asked to speak with a manager because this had never been mentioned. I double-checked my reservation email on the spot, and it clearly stated there was a $100 deposit per person (which would go toward the final bill), but there was no mention of any minimum spend requirement. Neither the host when we arrived nor our server at any point of service outlined this policy. When the "VIP" manager came over, I showed her the email and explained that we had not been informed of any minimum and felt it was unfair to spring this on us near the end of our reservation. Instead of acknowledging the confusion or showing any sympathy, she simply repeated that it was their policy and that it's what we booked. After going back and forth, the final resolution was that they would refund the $300 deposit through OpenTable -- but not for 75 days -- and we would still need to pay our full bill for the night. What started as a great Valentine's celebration ended on a frustrating and disappointing note. Clear communication at every point of service would have made all the difference. read more

Very cute bar right next to elephante (it has a separate entrance). Can get super busy so if you want somewhere to sit I'd recommend reserving a table. My drink was alright but honestly nothing special, I got the "La bamba". This is definitely one of those places you go for the aesthetic though. read more

LOVE @barbambino!! Bar Bambino is one of those places that feels like someone really cared about every detail, from the little candles on the tables to the music that's always actually good. The interior is warm and kind of vintage without trying too hard. It feels cozy but not cramped. Lots of people were up dancing while I was there, and overall it was such a great vibe. Drinks are so yummy!! I usually get the negroni or an espresso martini and they're always made right. To start the entire space is super aesthetically pleasing. A lot of attention to detail went into the wall paper, furniture, ambiance and entire place. The music was great although does get louder as the night progresses. Our server Taylor was great. She had fantastic recommendations, was attentive, and super friendly. Where it got odd was after one drink Taylor asked us if we wanted another round and we said no we were going to finish our current drinks and head out. Less than a minute later this lady who appeared to be a hostess with an iPad comes up and rudely says she needs our table. We tell her no worries we were just closing out and finishing up. She then stands awkwardly by our table and comes up again in 90 seconds and says i need this table now. One of us still had half a drink and her abrasiveness from the start was off putting. Most places give you a 10-15 minute warning but not this lady. To go from being offered a second round to be telling us we needed to leave right then and there in less than 3 minutes made no sense. As we were leaving my friend asked her if there was a way to know what the song playing was because the background noise was too loud for her phone to recognize and she rudely goes "I can't help you. " it was a shame that this one lady put such a downer on otherwise a great night. We probably won't be back because of how poorly she handled the situation. I understand they need to turn tables and there's a time limit but her communication from the start was so unprofessional and inhospitable. She's definitely in the wrong line of work. read more

This review is for Bar Bambino, the over-hyped bar at Elephante. This place is attached to Fashion Square mall, and looks like the type of bar you would find on a cruise ship. There is a very rude "VIP host" named Aaron who ruined our entire experience. We had 2 tables for my friend's bday (12 guests total). Despite the 2 hour limit that was originally reserved, we asked if we could stay longer and were told by our very lovely and sweet female server that there were no other reservations for the evening, so we could stay as long as we wanted. We were ordering a lot of drinks and food (aka spending a lot of $$). Suddenly out of nowhere, Aaron approaches 2 of our guests (not even the bday girl and her husband, who were the hosts of the event) and tells them we need to hurry up and finish our food and drinks because we need to leave within 30 minutes. Bday girl husband got up to talk to him and explain we were told we could stay, but Aaron was exceptionally rude and insisted we must leave. We hadn't met our minimum for the evening yet so we ordered two $100 bottles of champagne to drink quickly to run up the tab. They brought us two bottles of disgusting $15 Mumm. Long story short, finally our sweet server heard us complaining and sent over a real manager (Shai). She was very apologetic and said we could stay as long as we want, sent us a couple free rounds of shots, but at that point it was too late. Aaron had already scared off 4-5 of the people in our party. Turns out some of his buddies showed up and he was trying to give them our table. This guy literally ruined our entire experience. I do NOT recommend Bar Bambino for special occasions. They didn't even let us bring in a candle for my friend to blow out. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere with great customer service, go to Tell Your Friends (the swanky speakeasy below The Americano). Much better experience read more
