    Bone marrow

Rarely do you find a stellar cocktail bar that also offers delicious dishes. A group of us came here for dinner during a bachelorette weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the bone marrow which was delicious but it felt really oily after finishing the meal. The short rib portion size was plenty and it was cooked well. The cocktails are fantastic, especially the Wet my Beak drink!

"I came for the aesthetic, I stayed because I couldn't find the exit (and the Mezcal was on fire)." First off, finding this place feels like a low-stakes escape room. You walk into Crust Simply Italian looking like you're lost, find the "secret" door, and suddenly you're no longer in a family-friendly pasta house--you're in a moody, Art Deco fever dream. It's dark enough in here that I couldn't see my own bad decisions, which is exactly how I like my speakeasies.

It took us a minute to figure out how to get into this place Apparently there are several entrances but we were told, we did come through the front entrance Tucked away in this development, you will find signs leading you to the entrance which was very clever. The atmosphere is so intimate. I love sweet cocktails and asked the waiter what would he recommend. He recommended The Clover. I was very hesitant because it had Gin in it and questioned him but decided to trust him. Boy am I glad I did, it was the most beautiful and tastiest drink I have experienced. I ordered the Shrimp Oreganata along with the Truffle Fries while my friend ordered the the Chicken Alla Vodka (side note, there is no pasta!) Everything was so delicious. I cleaned my plate. The theme of The Goose followed throughout from the check that is bought out in a little nest to a pen that had feathers, I truly appreciated the little details and how everything came together. Trust me, this is a spot worth visiting but be sure to make reservations as it is a small and cozy atmosphere.

The Goose is on the Loose....well only if you drink too much at this speakeasy. This speakeasy has a cool relaxing vibe. Once you find your way to the speakeasy, you'll be greeted with a room that offers small intimate tables and a long bar. The offerings for drinks are amazing: some classic and others spin offs to play off the theme of the speakeasy. All of the drinks sounds amazing, so hard to choose. And you need to choose wisely as drinks are about 20 dollars. Our bartender was amazing on Monday. Super friendly and accommodating. We appreciated learning about all the speakeasy from him. The Speakeasy does provide food from the next door restaurant. The menu has an Italian focus. During peak season in AZ and weekends make sure you make a reservation. If joining the speakeasy during their opening time, you should be ok without a reservation weekdays. Note this speakeasy is part of a group of speakeasy's that each offer their own character. All with bird themes. My only negative is I wish it was darker during daylight: light from outside should be blocked! Cheers.

Date night approved! My hubby booked a reservation at The Goose, and they did not disappoint. We love a whiskey forward speakeasy, and they have a ton of delicious cocktails on the menu. Secretly nestled behind Crust, The Goose offers some delicious bites & desserts. My favorite drink of the night was the "Down Comforter". This was nutty pistachio & chocolate old fashioned, and it was incredible. All of the food we tried was tasty. The garlic shrimp actually paired well with the Mediterranean salad. I also enjoyed the calamari, as it was lightly breaded and served with spicy marinara sauce. Do not skip the butter cake. It is warm, ooey gooey, and has a scoop of ice cream on top. Everything was perfect, and we would definitely dine here again!

Came to the Goose with a few people for a going away party. The door was very difficult to find. You had to go through Crust Pizza then through the server side station where there's a door labeled employee entrance. I guess this may have been the point they were trying to make as a speakeasy feel. Once I finally found the place, decor was beautiful. Chandeliers and the back bar was beautifully lit with a slight gold tones. Food was beautifully presented but taste was just ok for me. The server took about 20 minutes to take the cocktail order then took another 15 minutes to deliver the cocktails for all of us. Throughout the experience the server hardly came by and checked on us. We had to ask for waters to be filled repeatedly. There was 5 of us but table was only set for 4 and it took 3 requests to bring an extra glass and place setting for the 5the person. All in all, service was not too attentive and felt forgotten but there were 3 staff members just huddled around the entry door. It's not a bad place to get cocktails but the service culture can be improved.

What a spectacular evening with Bodie! He is charming, helpful, personable and fun! (And Travis later in the evening) We started the evening by bum rushing the door as Bodie unlocked it at 4. We were the only ones there this early and Bodie quickly brought us into the fold as if we were old friends. We stayed until early evening thoroughly enjoying every drink and all of the food we ordered. We will be back for sure!! You have a gem with Bodie.

Cute little speak easy! They did over charge me $25 but luckily I caught it. We had three different servers so that's probably why. Weird energy with the service as well. But as far as food and drinks go. It was yummy.

It's hidden behind a door inside a restaurant. Small, loud, intimate. Felt more like a bar than a speakeasy though. I like the variety of cocktails offered bc that's what I usually go for. Friendly service, very chill vibes and great drinks

This spot is so dang cute. And trying to find it added to the intrigue! The wallpaper: I'm obsessed! The design is amazing. But to the real nuts & bolts-- barstaff 5 and the drinks are and reasonably priced. The service was great. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I love a solid speakeasy and hadn't been to one in so long! This one is inside crust, which actually is right by my first official apartment that my husband and I had together, so it's always fun to revisit the area! There was a couple little signs outside, and later we as people entering from the back, but we had a host lead us through the other entrance through the restaurant. Really cool vibes in here and we loved the funky goose wallpaper. They have a really fun bar area with cool decor, but my husband and I sat at a booth! My husband got a drink with vodka, passionfruit, prosecco, and I think something else. Mine had mezcal, passionfruit, coconut, mango, and some other stuff! I remarked that our drinks tasted like we were on a tropical vacation haha, they were both so good! My drink was served on fire which was pretty neat. Service was excellent! Drinks are pricey but worth it! Really glad we had the opportunity to visit here!

I will be dreaming about their warm olives for awhile. Well done!! Perfect for a gals dinner. The food was good not drop dead but very good for a ladies dinner. All the friends were there, pizza / pasta / apps and Great drinks. Their mocktails were delicious and low sugar as well!

Absolutely yes! Cute speakeasy with amazing vibes. Enter in through Crust or the secret way in the back. Food was phenomenal and so were the drinks! I forgot our servers name but she was so amazing and helpful with giving recommendations and making sure we were taken care of!

Hi, can we bring a calm baby to join while we grab a cocktail?

    I would not recommend it.

Is there a dress code? Are jeans allowed?

Hello! Thank you for your question. Here at the Goose, we don't have a designated dress code. Jeans are perfectly fine. We do request that outfits don't be super revealing.

    Do I need a resv?

What looks like free parking in the self-parking area actually isn't. There's a sign that says you have to pay for parking with a QR code. Parking is only free for 30 minutes. I called the hotel to inquire about parking and they didn't answer. After walking to the front desk, we were told that valet is validated at the speakeasy. I'm not a fan of valet, but I'll take free valet service (minus the tip) over paying more for self parking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. As the self-appointed king of speakeasies, I'm back with another one. Ambiance: (4.5/5): I won't give all of the clues away, but walk to the third floor, look for a book shelf, and you're on the right track. Once you get inside, you'll find an intimate speakeasy. We're talking seating for 12 or so people or so, tops. I imagine getting a seat on a weekend is quite tough, so take that into account and make a reservation. When you do, you'll find out that there's a $25 cancellation fee per person if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation. I understand that no shows negatively impact restaurants/bars, but I absolutely hate when the cost of doing business is passed off on customers. I'm reliable, but if I'm going with someone else, and they cancel, now I'm in a tough spot. Anyways, I loved the ambiance at The Madam. Think dark wood, sophistication, and some cowboy vibes. The seating was comfortable, too. Service (4.5/5): Minus the parking snafu, our bartender did an absolute awesome job taking care of us. She was friendly and attentive throughout. They were perfecting a new drink menu and even offered us two drinks on the house. Which was much appreciated! We were lucky, for sure. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (4/5): When I go to a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity. You'll find that here for the most part, though I wish the list of craft cocktails was a little larger. There were only two or so cocktails that struck my fancy. I went with the one with green chartreuse, which is always a treat. But, when I'm at a speakeasy, I'm hoping that at least half of the selection intrigues me. Despite the limited selection, the cocktails are well made and have an interesting blend of flavors. The Madam is a true speakeasy (no signage and an ambiance which is true to the history of speakeasies), which makes them a winner in my book.

You were a little nervous because it looked really packed but the Plaza had plenty of restaurants. So we thought we'll go in and try it out, so it was very busy on a Friday night but they were able to set us down within a few minutes. We got a great parking spot. The hostess set us down immediately. We ordered the ribs and glass of wine, the fried fish, and the butter cake for Desert Our whole dinner experience. It was probably an hour tops. Which was fine because we were hungry. The ribs came out so fast. And my Husbands fish came out immediately. After. And the ribs were super tender. Came with a side of onion rings. My Husbands fish and chips was a fillet portion of fish and reasonable amount of steak fries with the tiny portion of coleslaw and tartar sauce. It was very very good food. The wine was fine. Our service was very fast, but but good. I was given a nice warm hand towel to clean my hands. If I wanted to use my fingers to eat my food. Which was nice, but butter cake was absolutely delicious. Came with a huge portion of ice cream. I had leftovers which was boxed for me, which I love that. The prices were very reasonable. I thought we would absolutely go back if we were in the area. The ambience is very nice like every Scott restaurant. I would definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

We had an unsatisfying time here this evening. One huge problem was that the booths in the new,…read moreremodeled section are far away from the seats - maybe 12 inches between the diner and the table, so that's not comfortable. I mentioned this to the server and he quickly said, "Someone else mentioned that, too. Can't do anything about it; it's bolted down." So apparently he has not been instructed to consider, report or even care about customer feedback. My advice to you is don't be seated in the new section because you won't be comfortable and the restaurant doesn't care. Second, I ordered a cocktail on the rocks and repeated "on the rocks" and still, the cocktail came up. Same server. And when the cocktail on the rocks came it was weak and full of ice, not like usual. The food was fine but the interactions with our server kind of ruined the evening. There are many restaurants nearby and I advise you to consider one of them because there is no indication that this one cares at all.

We sat at the bar, though there is plenty of table and booth seating if that's more your jam. Service (4/5): Our bartender was new but she was super friendly and accommodating. I had to grab her attention a few times, but overall, solid. Drinks (4/5): One of the nice things about The Parlay is that they have happy hour every day until 6. We took advantage of it for the last 45 minutes or so. Happy hour consists of discounts off of their cocktails and appetizers, which both are large lists. I enjoyed two drinks off of the happy hour menu including one with a huge smoke bubble. My third time having a drink like this and always a good time. I think the bartender got the ingredients off a slight bit, but she'll get better with practice. Food (3/5): The food is a hit and a miss. I had three appetizers: the fried avocado, the steak bites, and the pretzels with fondue cheese. The best of the bunch is the fried avocado. Think of an avocado deep fried in the same way you see a bunch of foods at the carnival. Pretty much anything is good in this format, am I right? Beyond the avocado, it was served on a bed of a corn and crema slaw of sorts which was delicious. Good portion size. In the middle were the pretzels. I love cheese so this is my type of appetizer. The soft pretzels were soft and buttered well. Solid but a smaller portion size than I anticipated. And lastly, the steak bites. They're served with flat fries and drizzled with a sweet sauce. Good portion. The problem. I ordered it medium rare and it was well done. You can't mess up steak like this. You shouldn't even serve it. The chef messed up so he or she should have started over. I'm not the type that returns dishes so I ate it, but it took away from the dish a lot. While I wouldn't run to come back to The Parlay, if happy hour is involved, and I'm in the area, I'd check it out again. Hopefully they can work out some of the kinks.
