We wanted to try a new wine bar with live music Friday night and found this gem. Loved the decor, we were in the right place! Great music, fun people, and a fabulous selection of wine. Jen is so knowledgeable and recommended a bottle of white which we could cork and take home. I generally am a red wine drinker but with the heat wanted white and the Bordeaux she recommended was full bodied like a red but crisp and refreshing like a white - the perfect choice! The secret was bound to get out sooner or later. There's a great little wine bar hidden in the nook of a strip mall, in between the Dollar Tree and the Sky Zone at Tatum and Greenway. So convenient when running errands to pop in for a refreshment. On a couple of blistering hot Saturday afternoons I have found myself seeking a chilly bar and a glass of FROSE'. Yes, frozen rose' for $5, all the time. Fresh fruit was obvious in my last glass, so not only wine but yummy sweet and refreshingly cold. The owner , Jen, came over a few times during the night to make sure we were all taken care of. She was very informed about all the drinks they serve. They do not serve food, but you can order from the Sicilian Butcher, which is just down the street, and they will deliver it to you. Very convenient! I am delighted to post the first review of this cute, welcoming local wine tasting shop. We found it by accident and felt immediately drawn in. We sampled two wines, both at the very low price of $6 (since the bottles were already opened), and my Argentine Malbec was delightful! Jen (owner) knows her wine, and it was fun to hear her describe how she selects the wines she will feature. Bottles are not wildly priced either ($25-$35) They also have a large variety of beers, so I will give those a try next time. read more

We stopped into Grapes & Hops to enjoy some Wandering Cellars Merlot. Dave, our host/bartender was very engaging, friendly and knowledgeable on the wines and beer. We really enjoyed our time talking with the other local patrons as well. Later, we met the owners Jen and Kyle. They are super friendly and down to earth. They were offering complimentary wine and beer tastings while we were there as well. Apparently they have only been open for a few weeks, but it felt like they are already well-established in the neighborhood. My wife and I said it felt a bit like Cheers. We grabbed a bottle of Wandering Cellars Chardonnay to share with our friends. We also joined the wine club, and are looking forward to stopping in regularly to see everyone and pick up our wine! read more

What an amazing new wine/craft beer bar! The atmosphere was very welcoming and the owners were extremely knowledgeable when it came to the wine and craft beer. We went with a small group and they were able to accommodate us for a wine tasting (highly recommend). The food concept is awesome because you get to pick whatever you want for your charcuterie board and they make it fresh for you. The best part? The bottles of wine are either $25 or $35 so extremely affordable! Most of the wine we had not heard of so it was really nice of the owners to give us a breakdown on everything and there wasn't (1) taste we didn't enjoy.
