We shared the Bang Bang Shrimp, a favorite of ours. The flavor was great as always, although this batch seemed to have a little more batter than usual. Not a big issue, just something we noticed. We ordered the lobster sliders to split and they were great. The order comes with three sliders, and each one was generously filled with chunks of lobster. I also loved the addition of diced tomato and avocado, which added texture. The sliders were a good size. We added a side of truffle fries, which unfortunately fell flat. They looked like regular fries and, while they did have some truffle flavor, they were missing the Parmesan cheese and seasoning that typically make truffle fries stand out. They were okay, but a bit disappointing. We had a nice lunch. The only downside was the price. For one appetizer, one lunch entrée, fries, and one cocktail the total came to over $75, which felt a little steep for lunch. That aside we loved the sliders and would order them again and we always order the Bang Bang Shrimp when we're there.

The patio views are beautiful, and the weather made it such a great spot to sit outside in the evening. The live music was a perfect touch...not too loud, so you could still have a conversation comfortably. The owner even walked around and spoke with guests, and both he and his wife were incredibly friendly. You can tell they really take pride in the entertainment they provide and in making sure customers have a great experience. As for the food, it reminded me a lot of the pizza at A Modo Mio Cucina Italiana, which is just a few streets away. If you've had and enjoyed their pizza, you'll likely enjoy Pizzicata as well. I ordered the Jennifer calzone, and it was okay. I would try a calzone again, but with different toppings. I added a meatball for an extra $3, and honestly, it didn't quite hit the spot compared to homemade meatballs. The calzone had a lot of ricotta and not a lot of other ingredients in it, so if you're not a big ricotta fan, this probably isn't the best choice. That said, the ricotta itself had a different flavor than other ricotta I'm used to. The calzone doesn't come with sauce inside, and the side of sauce is pretty small. I was charged $0.50 for an extra... I probably could've used two or three sides of sauce since the calzone had none. That being said, the sauce itself was excellent... very close to the flavor of sauce that my family makes. This sauce really gave the calzone a good Taste, it just needed more! We also tried the mozzarella sticks, and those were good. Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful, the space is a nice size, and the staff is warm and welcoming. It seems like a good place to bring kids, although when we went (Thursday around 6), I didn't see many. The decor is lovely, and the overall vibe makes it a place I'd come back

Yelpers,…read more Enjoyed a lunch today here at Arrivederci. Enjoyed the ravioli, my cousins enjoyed the fish of the day and spaghetti. Perfect portions for a lunch. Plenty of available tables, so no waiting. Server was very polite. East to find off Thunderbird, nice parking lot. If you like Italian add this location to you wish list.

I've spent quite a bit of time in Italy. Arrivederci makes me feel like I'm in Italy a little more…read morethan I'd like. I'll get to that in a bit. I stopped by this Italian restaurant for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Parking, while not the largest lot, is doable and free. This is the original location of what is now a well-known institution in Phoenix with several locations. Ambiance (2/5): A neighborhood Italian joint. A homey, relatively small restaurant. Murals of Roman Gods adorn the walls. A little tacky but somehow comforting at the same way. The big problem? Lack of A/C. I was there in July, which as we know is very, very hot in Phoenix. They had some fans going but it wasn't helping much. This is why I was reminded by Italy where A/C comes at a premium. You can't do that in Phoenix. Service (3/5): Pretty decent service, though not the most friendly. And one pretty big snafu. We were the last people dining at the restaurant. Though it was not close to closing time. I understand they probably wanted to close early. But look how they went about doing it. I was finishing a bottle of wine. Still had a glass in the bottle. Out of nowhere, the waiter came and took the bottle without saying anything. Though I was a bit shocked, I asked for the bottle to-go. He allowed it. I mean...awkward! That is not how you provide hospitality to your patrons. One of the weirdest service experiences I've ever had. Drinks (4/5): The wine I had, before it was almost stolen, was a nice deal as a house wine. It was a cabernet sauvignon. I'll never forget that waiter! Food (4/5): The menu consists of mostly your typical Italian classics. I was in the food for some carbonara pasta. While it can be heavy, it's a great dish and they do it well here. Thick, creamy, with a nice amount of bacon. For a surcharge, I added grilled chicken. The chicken was a little dry, but overall pretty good. Outside of my entree, they serve you complimentary bread with olive oil which is always a nice touch. I also tried some bruschetta from a shared appetizer which was fresh and flavorful. While the food is solid, the snafus with the service and lack of A/C during a Phoenix summer significantly impacted the experience.

The dirty birdy and whiskey buck were such a hit we had a few. The appetizers we tried were delicious. The seared ahi tasted yummy and the pork belly with its crunchy exterior was gobbled up quick. We then tried the cauliflower and steamed clams. The broth for the clams was so good, we asked for more bread to sop it up. The cauliflower was yummy and everything on the plate was eaten up. The girls were full after that, but I wanted to try the beet salad. Have to say, one of the best I've ever had. Beets, arugula, goat cheese, walnuts (I think) and Orange slices with a tasty vinaigrette. Although the girls were 'full', they saw that and had to try it. Nothing left in that bowl as well. Overall, very pleasantly surprised and will for sure return to try other items on the menu. Service was great btw! My wife and I will certainly be back!

There is something on the menu for everyone, and it's all delish! Whether you're looking for some small plates to share or a full on meal, they have it all. The vibe is fresh and welcoming. Not pretentious. One of the owners has stopped by our table every visit, just to say hi and thank us for coming. It felt genuine and unforced. If we lived closer, this would be our #1 go-to joint. That we have to make an effort to visit and still do says it all. Enjoy!!!
