Janey's Coffee Co & Bodega is truly a treasure. Set back from the main road (Cave Creek), I was mildly surprised at how busy it was on a late Sunday Afternoon. I say "mildly suprised" because once we walked up to the actual coffee house we heard the live music on the large back patio. One of our absolutely favorite local artist, Aaron Howard was performing, and he definitely brings in a crowd. It was busy, as I mentioned, but not too crowded, and we found a good table towards the back. As it was the begging of the hot weather this spring, we were very grateful for the generous-sized table umbrellas. But first, we went inside the Bodega to order a Beer and a snack. They have a great selection of Beer and wine! And since we were still 2 hours or so away from dinner, we decided to grab a veggie & cheese board, which had a nice variety of cruditè and humas. It was very satisfying for 2 adults. We spent.a total of about 2 hours there and left there knowing we would be coming back to Janey's. Side note: For those of you who need accessibility, I myself am on an electric scooter for ambulating. The parking lot is dirt and only has a couple of handicap parking spots. But no space is more than approximately 150 ft from the entrance to Janey's. Once you get to the building, it is very easy to get in and out of the main bodega, with wide, level doorways. Janey's can be found at the Saguaro Ridge plaza. Being in the mood for a hot chocolate I stopped into Janey's for a beverage. It had been years since I had this drink. It tasted just perfect. Small sips are the best. Yummy. Free parking on the dirt road in back. read more

This was my first and last time I'll go here. The girls serving couldn't care less that you are there, and seemed more annoyed to even being working. There is not a good ordering system (no indication of who is waiting for orders, and who is waiting that needs to order). My fiancé and I each ordered some food, a chicken salad sandwich and a breakfast burrito. The meals came out 15 minutes apart, the sandwich was like trying to eat a salt lick and she couldn't eat more than 3 bites. The breakfast burrito had no seasoning at all and was completely bland, and the salsa was nothing more that blended tomato with no seasoning or spice at all, I only had 3 bites and then found a hair in the burrito where they cut it in half to serve. It was just under $65 for two drinks and to awful meals, and the hair in the food is disgusting. Way overpriced, and the worst meal I have ever had in Cave Creek. I would recommend avoiding this place completely and save you money. The only good thing was the live music. read more

Coffee shop, bar, entertainment venue Janey's Coffeehouse and Bodega had been a staple in the heart of Downtown Cave Creek since 2010. It offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and live entertainment every night (check the events calendar on the website). Friday and Saturday evening shows usually have a $5-15 cover. We met up with friends on a Friday night to listen to the beautiful vocals by husband and wife led band called The Sugar Thieves. It's first come, first served with tables and chairs all over the outside patio. With a popular band, it filled up quickly, but it made it fun as we had other groups join at our table and added to a great night of friendly chatting. It was a cooler night, but the portable heaters and dancing kept everyone warm. The menu is small, but there are a couple each of: sandwiches, soup, salads, pizza, and boards. We had a table of eight happily munching on the veggie board (veggies, pretzel, cheese, and hummus), the sausage board (meats, cheeses, pretzels) and chips and salsa. Ordering is quick service style at the bar inside. I've also enjoyed Janey's solo on a morning off work. I relaxed on a patio sofa with my book, their breakfast sandwich, and a coffee. Janey's is a cool local spot to meet up with friends or bring out-of-towners to experience life in the Creek. read more

Janey's was recommended to us by a couple at a Scottsdale brewery. Scenic drive, cute, kitschy town (cave creek) and fairly spacious place. Sandwiches were fine, nothing to write home about but good for lunch. Good live music spot with mostly outdoor seating- not as crowded as what some of the other restaurants seemed to be. read more

My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast while staying at The Boulders and absolutely loved the Veg breakfast sandwich (the gouda is delicious!) and Zesty Pig breakfast burrito (don't sleep on the horseradish cheddar). If you are staying at The Boulders, do yourself a favor and skip the on-property breakfast to venture off property to eat here. read more

Didn't eat here so can't give full stats. But for coffee and atmosphere it is a five star. Hubby had a latte and I had an iced chai latte with oat milk. You wouldn't see it from the street but it has several different areas to enjoy from inside to outside with a lovely mountainside patio and a counter both inside and outside. We're from Los Angeles, but we visit Janey's every time we travel to AZ, we always make a point to visit at least one night. We first went 2021 during the pandemic and appreciated the nightly live music played in an amazing patio. We were staying in Carefree for a week and went every night! It felt so good to get out and enjoy ourselves while social distancing. We visit AZ at least once a year now and it's still on the itinerary. It's dog friendly too! read more

This is such a fun and unique spot hidden in Cave Creek! We came on a weeknight for the 7:30 live music. Janey's is a cute little shop complete with a bar and coffee shop. Both are open even in the evening! There's not much seating inside, but they have a huge and gorgeous patio with heaters. I love that there's a little outdoor bar seating that backs up to the bar. I got a hot peppermint tea with honey while my boyfriend got a beer - the bartender was great with recommendations! We were lucky to find a spot inside since it was chilly - and we loved the cozy and eclectic atmosphere. This is definitely a spot I'd come to during the day to do some remote work, and at night to meet up with some friends. Lots of people around us were also ordering food - the charcuterie board looked great! The musical act that they had was fantastic, they were fun and sounded great without being too loud for the space. Overall, I'll be back here next time I'm in AZ! read more

It's crazy how cave creek is only like 20 minutes away but feels like a whole different world than Phoenix/Scottsdale haha. Came here for a little coffee date with my husband and we loved it! I live the patio they have, we enjoyed listening to the live music. I got an iced chai latte with oat milk and my husband got a hot latte with extra espresso. We both really enjoyed our drinks and they were ready quick! We liked the bar area too and will have to come back for an alcoholic beverage sometime. Baristas were nice too. Janeys is a great local Cave Creek hangout. There is not much in the way of food so that is not why you should go. I have been there for a light breakfast several times with yoghurt with granola and some over fried scrambled eggs but we go for the local entertainment. We love to see the T-Bonz and Bill Dutcher mostly. Others are good too. On Saturday mornings Nancy Begley and her fiancé and friends play which is nice to hear and see. We do love hearing love music here and dancing and that is what makes it fun. They do have a decent enough bar and some wine to accompany the music. We love it here and go for the music! read more

On our drive from Tucson to Sedona we stopped at Janey's for lunch. Loved it! Great service, yummy food, nice ambiance. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. It was too hot to sit outside, but there's a large outside seating area to enjoy when it's cooler. This place is easy to recommend. read more

It's been a while since I been to Cave Creek. I was hoping to find a coffee place with a beautiful outdoor space. Janey's checked all the boxes. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Unexpectedly, a wedding was happening here. I'm glad I got parking before the guests arrived. Indoor seating can be limited. They do have daily band playing in the patio area. I ordered the Dirty Chai and a grilled Turkey sandwich. I don't normally do chai but all great reviews led me to try it. Perfect spices and flavorful! Great ambiance and music on a Sunday morning. Relaxing outdoors patio is where we sat for breakfast. I had the spicy pig breakfast sandwich. It was excellent but the horseradish cheese was too strong for me. My hubby got the classic breakfast sandwich. So we split both and we're very happy. I just love every single thing about this place! Living music every night is awesome. The atmosphere is inviting- I only with there were a few more small tables but I don't know where they would go! The patio is great, open and welcoming. The coffee is always tasty but I also love the fact that they have beer on tap and a mini bar!! It doesn't matter what your mood is...Janey's fits!! The garage door for an outside bar rail seat is new since the last time I was here and I love it!! I'm traveling and from the Midwest. I am always on the hunt for a local coffee spot and I knew instantly driving up that Janey's would be my kind of place. It hit all the things I love in a matter of minutes. It has that homey local vibe with that small town vibe. Located away from the street behind a building with parking a simple yet well kept dirt lot. Think old country store vibes with cozy chairs on the porch ready to greet you. As you walk up you'll notice a sign with all of the entertainment for the month. You read that right. They have live music with local artists. The outside area is large to accommodate that. Once you open the doors there is an ample amount of seating and a bar area that not only serves coffee, but alcohol as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see they have wine tasting. I'll have to bring my niece when she visits just for that. We were greeted with smiles and friendly conversation. The service was awesome and we felt very welcomed. After a few minutes looking over the coffee options I went against my typical cold brew and ordered not only a vanilla latte, but a hibiscus tea iced. It is unsweetened. My kids chose a dirty chai iced and a caramel latte. Our drinks were made quickly and so good! I don't care for chai, but I had a few sips of my daughters and I might just have to come back for my own. I know, I was shocked too. I added a bit of agave honey to the tea and it was so dang good and refreshing. We found some seats to relax for a few before headed back to our side of town.
