Dropped by the tasting room on a sunny January afternoon and it totally exceeded expectations. The vibe is super chill and welcoming - perfect desert escape with that authentic local feel. The staff here are seriously knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Our bartender/guide was awesome - took the time to explain the whole distillation process, answered all our random questions, and really made the tasting feel personal without being pushy. Great energy all around! Their Carefree Bourbon is legit outstanding - smooth, rich with nice depth, warm finish that isn't too harsh. Definitely one of the best local bourbons I've tried in AZ. But wow, the Chakra Vodka lineup stole the show for me. All the infused flavors are so creative and well-balanced. My absolute favorite was the Third Eye - Grapefruit & Lavender. That bright citrus pop from the grapefruit mixed with the soft, floral lavender is pure magic - refreshing, elegant, and dangerously easy to sip. I could drink it all day (and almost did ). We also ordered one of their charcuterie boards to go with the tasting, and oh man - it was delicious! Beautifully arranged with a great selection of cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruit, nuts, and some local honey and crackers. Everything paired so perfectly with the spirits - the board elevated the whole experience and made it feel like a proper little afternoon treat. Highly recommend getting one (or sharing one) while you sip! Highly recommend the tasting flight - great value and you get to try everything. My friend wanted to come here to try the bourbon. The place is quite cute and has lots of gift ideas . The service was pretty good but it seemed like they catered to their local regulars over just visitors, but that's understandable. We all tried the flights. My friend and my son tried to different flavored vodkas and the two varieties of bourbon while I chose to try four different flavors of vodka because I don't really care for bourbon. My favorite flavor of the vodka was the coconut lychee. Been going to this place for years and I can't believe I haven't left a review. This is a not so hidden gem in cave creek. If you want to get away from the typical cowboy or biker crap, this is a nice alternative. They make their own bourbon and vodka and it's delicious. The old fashions are one of the best around and the vodka easily compares to some of the top brands. And the staff is always friendly and accommodating. They make this place even more pleasant. It has a nice patio and they have some events during the weeks sometimes. Do yourself a favor and try it. Make sure to say hello to Alex as she is always a treat to talk to! read more

While in Cave Creek, I saw this distillery and had to stop. I entered the establishment and was greeted by the employee behind the bar and handed a menu that listed the tasty drinks. The distillery makes bourbon and vodka. I am a fan of bourbon and samples the 95 proof and the 120 proof; their two offerings. I tried both neat at first and found both the be smooth and full of flavor. Both were so good, I bought a bottle of both at the end of this adventure. Time for this mixes drinks! I had the old fashioned, smoked. It was fabulous. There were other drinks on the menu, but I opted for two old fashions on this trip. I had a great conversation with the operations manager who told me some of the great things coming in the future. I'm excited for this place and hope to see it grow. I also had their charcuterie board which was absolutely magnificent. If you are in Cave Creek, I totally recommend this place if you like bourbon or vodka. read more

First time here and definitely won't be my last. What an absolute gem of a place this and wish it was locally to where I'm at. Strictly local distilled vodka and bourbons and what a treat they are. We had a few variety's from the vodka pineapple to berry and fig old fashions. We were there on cigar night I guess according to our waitress which had that perfect smell coming through from outside of all the cigars with a very relaxed vibe inside that was not loud at all. Yes they make their own vodka and bourbon and that's basically all you will find in the menu No Wine or other spirits. A few little items on the menu to snack on and outdoor tables available. We tried the S'mores cocktail and it was a winner. You can buy bottles to take home too. I'm not a bourbon drinker so I just had a coffee with a splash of it. But how cool is that marshmallow? Perfect place to meet ol friends and catch up while enjoying bourbon or vodka drink.I would have to say the coffee bourbon drink was one of the better ones on this trip. If there were 6 stars I would give them that rating. I've been around the world, and this is one of the top bourbon's I've ever had. On top of that their hospitality is top notch as well. The taste & aroma are outstanding with just the right amount of fire at the end. They make their own bitters, so you have to try one of their old fashion's. The staff makes you feel like family whether it's your first visit or your 100th. Susanne and Jordyn really know their stuff and always greet you with a smile and excellent service. Jordyn and Suzanne are by far my favorite people to see when I go in for my favorite Vodka martini, "The Divine". It does not matter if they are busy or not, they always greet me with a smile and ask if I would like "the usual". These ladies know my hubby likes to try different bourbon drinks, so always ask what he's in the mood for. We always feel like family when we walk in. When you have a bad day, while their drinks are exceptional, sometimes you just have to go in for the staff. I have a couple of their Chakra Vodka bottles on our home bar as well. Oh, I just loved this place. The barkeepers were delightful and introduced us to their custom spirts and we enjoyed some bar snacks. We would have given them a 5 star if they had a tv. Unfortunately they do not so we will not be back to drink. We loved the idea of the TV for Sunday football in a quiter more classy, intimate setting. Unfortuantely we will go elsewhere for our hang, but we might swing by and have a quick drink before :-). read more

Checked out this place on our recent trip to AZ, and I'm super stoked we did! First off, the place was really poppin, and it was a beautiful day so that made the atmosphere that much more invited. We sat at the bar (we are allowed to do that in AZ lol), and the bartender and server were both super friendly and helpful on which spirits they suggested, along with the cocktails that were the most popular. I always try an old-fashioned at distilleries that make whiskey, because that is usually how I determine if I want to take a bottle home with me, but my fiance tried the vodka's because she is more of a vodka drinker (I tasted some of those too.. shh). Both were absolutely amazing, but the vodka is what really stood out. They had a bunch of different flavored vodkas, which I didn't care to try when I first heard, because I'm not typically a fan of flavored vodkas (too sweet). Once I started chatting with the bartender though, they told me that there was no added sugar in their vodkas, so it was just the flavor of the fruit with no over-bearing sweetness.. genius idea! The pineapple vodka, along with the peach vodka (forgot the names) were so damn good.. perfect for a cocktail on a warm day that could get you through the finish line without that added sugar rush to dehydrate you even more than alcohol already does! We ended up buying more bottles than we knew what to do with (the couple extra cocktails probably helped that decision), and had great conversation with other guests and the bartenders there. Overall there wasn't anything negative to say about Elysian Desert, can't wait to check them out again when we are back in AZ. read more
