Me with my cymbal bag! So relieved!

You know you're dealing with cool awesome people when you forget your cymbal bag there after a gig, and they keep it safe for you, not even knowing who left it. And the food is delicious!

First time here, came to work event and a full on band beetles playing! Sounds were gravy and charismatic. They even played a few classic love songs like I" wanna hold your hand" ambience was great, bit noisy but it's a pub with live band. It was packed and everyone had a great time, it was so lively for a Tuesday! Can only imagine how it would be on a weekday! I would say come for the band, have a few appetizers but definitely stay for the mock-tails! Tried two: Pomegranate lemonade- just fabulous like an Arnold Palmer but 10 times better! Fearless mimosas, my pick if you want something citrus with a bit of sassy! Plenty of parking outside, my tip ores drinks and appetizers or food at same time if they are busy!

Stopped by on a Friday to enjoy their all you can eat fish and chips. Grabbed a perfectly poured Guinness, along with some pickle and zucchini chips and made it through 3 servings of fish and chips. The fish is all you can eat, but not the chips, which was perfect for me. The fish came out super crispy on the outside with that light tender fish on the inside. Service here was great and they have some nice size tvs in here to catch a game.

Long time neighborhood bar with a great vibe but a dark interior. Super Irish menu and a LOT of fun at St Patrick's day. The crowd is fun on football nights (what night is there NOT football? )

Tucked in the back of an unassuming strip mall in the North Phoenix / PV area is this historic bucket of surprises. Will your shoes stick to the floor tonight? Are there 4 police cars outside for who knows what reason? Is there an open mic and the crowd is booing a performer? Is the bar on a Sunday evening full of pie-eyed dudes that had their first drink at 10 AM? The answer too all of them isn't yes... but it's probably a yes to at least one. Legend says that this bar was the first to ever pour Guinness on tap in Phoenix, and by "legend", I mean a Phoenix New Times article a gave a cursory glace. I'm not sure that makes it any better, but I'd rank it around the top 5-10 pours in the Valley. As of February 2025 it's $8 and the most recent was a little extra on the foam, but still a creamy tasty treat. Sit at / order at the bar and don't expect service levels above your neighborhood dive. Get the monster pepper jack sticks if you need a nap.

I like the food and the people sitting at the bar were great but the bartender Nicholas was not so good. Raised around the bars of NYC ( my mom was a barmaid most of my young life) you take care of your customers Nicholas did none of that we kept having to call him over because he was to busy talking. The bar was not busy he should have been walking around making sure no one wanted a drink or food this is what gets him tips. I can't say I would not go back because one bartender was not good doesn't mean they are all not good. Sorry I left him no tip because he was that bad I gave a 3 not a 1 because the place was very nice

    the bar and bar

Langer Joe bartender is so fun to be around! It's so fun having him behind the bar! Always puts a smile on everyone's faces and is always positive on his shift! He is a role model of someone who offers amazing hospitality and service!

I love Irish pubs. This one is in North Phoenix and it was my first visit here when I stopped in. Dubliner has been around since the 80's and has a long history here in the Valley (they claim to be the first pub to have Guinness on tap in Phx). The food menu has classic Irish dishes like Irish Beef Stew, Soda Bread, Bread Pudding and Corned Beef and Cabbage. I got one of my personal favorites - Shepherds Pie along with their popular Corned Beef Sliders. I also ordered a Black & Tan to wash it all down. Guinness has been one of my favorite beers since my college days and always pairs well with Irish cuisine. Good times here and it was nice to discover an Irish pub that I haven't been to. Sláinte!

This is our go-to place. We love it here. Great service. Great friends. It's a good time

Came here for the UYE International Supper Club! For March, this Irish pub was chosen to celebrate St Patrick's Day. It was moderately busy the evening we dined in as there were no events taking place until later. I decided to get the grilled chicken sandwich and a side of fries. I liked the charred flavor of the chicken and it was a filling dish. The fries were plentiful, and I tried some fried pickles which were tasty. Service was good considering the waitress was very busy (wo)manning several tables. She refilled our waters and got us our checks once we were finished. I don't drink so I can't speak to the beverages offered here, but it seemed like a popular spot and it was a casual and welcoming environment.

The service was a bit off (seemed like there weren't enough people to buss tables as we had to ask them to take empty dishes several times, but it was Saturday night and sometimes that happens!) I say that because I feel like it's a hidden gym next to a laundromat that people have probably passed, even though it has been in operation for 65 years! This blink and you'll miss it building has a tiny parking lot with one entrance in and out (beware and be kind). Once you walk into the space it feels like Willy Wonka in that it feels much bigger than it looks! Very quaint and simple in its decor. To the left is a private dining room I'm sure that is for rent with a full bar and one of the last (it seems) walk up salad bars with a fresh variety of ingredients on chilled metal plates, and homemade salad dressings (the 1000 Island is the best I've ever had). Maria is the owner, operator, and in this occasion our waitress showing she wasn't above doing the grunt work. She received hugs and hellos from regulars throughout the night showing her impact on the staff and space. Her Greek accent made us feel warm and welcomed like we were family. Then there was the meal! Known for its Prime Rib we kept it pretty simple. A sirloin beef burger and Prime Rib dinner for the table. An $8 upgrade takes you from 12 to 20 ounce prime rib (if memory serves) with a loaded baked potato and one trip to the salad bar. I believe it was $7 to add a trip to the salad bar for the burger order and was well worth it! At the End of the Day, the only regret was not having the room for the enormous Mud Pie dessert that looked incredible. Maria spoke of retiring so my hope is that someone continues her legacy and Feeney's stays exactly how it is! Any investors wanna go in with me?

We continue to be impressed by both the quality and creativity of their food. On this visit, I ordered The Pilgrim, which is essentially Thanksgiving dinner wrapped inside a pasty. It features turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and gravy. It arrived absolutely piping hot--seriously, give it a few minutes before taking that first bite--but once it cooled down, it was phenomenal. The combination of flavors was comforting and satisfying, and a little cranberry sauce with each bite provided the perfect balance. My only minor critique would be that the ingredients could have been distributed a bit more evenly throughout the pasty. I also found the gravy slightly more peppery than expected, occasionally overshadowing the stuffing, sweet potatoes, and turkey. Even so, this has become my favorite pasty at Cornish Pasty Co. We also tried the Peppered Steak pasty, which features sirloin, portobello mushrooms, leeks, zucchini, Stilton bleu cheese, and a peppercorn brandy cream sauce. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, especially the steak and the wonderfully flaky crust. For my personal taste, the peppercorn brandy cream sauce was a little more prominent than I prefer, and I found myself wanting more of the steak, mushroom, and Stilton flavors to come through. That's simply a matter of preference, though--it was still a well-executed dish made with quality ingredients. One thing Cornish Pasty Co. consistently gets right is the crust. Every pasty we've had has been flaky, flavorful, and substantial without feeling heavy. This wasn't our first experience with their menu. Over the years we've thoroughly enjoyed the Tikka Masala, the Lamb & Mint (which was a genuine "wow" dish), and the Royale. Those are all excellent choices, but after this visit, The Pilgrim has moved to the top of my personal rankings. Our two pasties came in under $20 each, making for a filling and satisfying meal at a reasonable price. We ordered takeout, and while there was a bit of a wait after we arrived, it's worth noting that these are made-to-order pasties, not fast food. Even though we only ordered a few minutes before arriving, the quality was well worth the extra time. My biggest criticism has nothing to do with the food. While waiting, my wife and I sat inside briefly, and we found the music extremely loud. During our visit, the restaurant was playing Silth, a progressive metalcore band. Musical tastes are obviously subjective, but the combination of the style and volume made conversation difficult for us. My wife eventually decided to wait in the car because it was simply too loud. The restaurant clearly aims for a lively pub atmosphere, with games available and a diverse mix of patrons enjoying themselves, so many people may appreciate that environment. It just wasn't a great fit for us. That said, the food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and we'll absolutely be back. We'll probably continue ordering takeout, but that's a reflection of our personal preferences rather than any issue with the restaurant itself. If you're looking for creative, well-made pasties with high-quality ingredients, Cornish Pasty Co. is definitely worth a visit.
