Wow what an experience we had! We somehow put in the wrong address in our GPS and ended up here and were hesitant but we came inside and BOY are we glad we did!!! Scott was our bartender/server tonight and he was amazing and provided the best service ever. Let me just say, the food is AMAZING! We all got either Prime Rib or Rib Eye's and twice baked potatoes and appetizers and other items and it was all great tasting food! The place is kind of dive bar ish vibes which we absolutely loved! Really recommend coming and trying this place out and getting their prime rib or steaks...you won't be disappointed!

    Greek chicken and mashed potatoes

We stopped in for lunch. We had heard good things about Freeney's. We ordered the Greek chicken with mashed potatoes and the liver and onions with French fries. It took a while to get our food but it was worth the wait. The chicken was moist and flavored with lemon. Delicious! The liver was mild and tender and the sautéed onions and bacon were a great addition. The service was friendly and attentive. We recommend Feeney's.

Wow! The prime rib was cooked so well. It was probably the 2nd most tender and flavorful I've had so far (the 1st is Bacchus House in Folsom). The cook really let the awesome beef flavor of the prime rib shine. I didn't use the au jus or the horseradish; this just didn't need it. I had the Twice Baked as my side. It was like the size of a babies head. It was amazing. They also include a trip to the salad bar. The Mud Pie was a delicious way to wrap it all up. Service was good and attentive. I liked the Old West decor. Even by myself, it felt fun. If I'm ever in Phoenix again, I'll definitely go back!

    Chicken piccata. POW!

This place was a real gem, which is not necessarily what you'd expect with it situated beside a Circle K. The service was so fluid, friendly, and evidenced constant communication between all levels of employees. We didn't wait long on anything, including our main course. And let me tell you, those main courses were no joke! The chicken Picata POPPED! I'm not normally a chicken guy, but WOW! So flavorful! My Wellington was also a real winner. Can't say I've had that anywhere else, but very very good nonetheless. Also, what a cute vibe. Perfectly lit sections to Sit in with all different sorts of people who were evidently long-time regulars. It would be hard to imagine a couple looking for a night out who would be disappointed by this gem in the least.

Feeley's, a fine local establishment for great drinks and awesome food! We came in for a dinner on a Thursday and the place was lively and the staff was so friendly and accommodating to us. We all got steaks and prime rib and enjoyed it all. The salad bar is awesome to have and you get it with any entree. The prime rib was of good quality and the baked potato was also very good. We stayed and enjoyed the bar for a bit after and even after our dinner the staff continued to check on us and ensure that we were all set. We will be back!

    16oz Prime Rib 5star amazing!

If you are driving too fast, you'll miss this place! Thats how small this postage stamp size place appears! Don't let the compact size fool you. Feeney's packs a huge punch presenting terrific fresh well-prepared dishes. No nonsense quality scrumptious food with terrific service. Why I waited till my 5th visit to review Feeney's is beyond me. Perhaps just to be sure it was consistent and yes...it has been! Miss Maria the owner, has been there every time we've visited and always keenly aware making rounds to ensure all patrons are well tended. Dependable on all counts indeed which is rare these days. Initially came for the Prime Rib as a friend recommended. Soft tender 16oz Prime Rib served with choice of smash or baked potato. However the old fashioned salad bar has me hooked. (please see video) It is a definite must try. This particular time we also ordered the Calamari appetizer and a Jumbo Shrimp cocktail. All delightful marvelous tasting dishes. No complaints. If you're looking for an old-school steakhouse with a great menu, unhurried atmosphere, and good vibe, you've arrived. A fully stocked bar and pretty relaxed wine list makes your dinner complete. Jazzed I was turned on to this place but sad I've been missing out. Next time I'll try the Osso Bucco ;) *Reservations accepted for 5 or more people only. *Weekends get pretty full so arrive early if you can't find 4 friends :) *Plenty of in-house parking in front and around back. *Outside looks small (narrow) but building is deep. As always, thank you for reading! Stay safe while enjoying life to your fullest.

When I arrived, I was greeted promptly by a very friendly woman and shown to my table. Some reviews say the atmosphere is too dark and dreary. Personally, I liked the atmosphere - reminiscent of the steakhouses of old. The server quickly brought me a water and took my order. I came specifically for the prime rib. When it came to ordering my side, the math didn't math. The sides that are included, on the a la carte menu, are $3.95. I wanted the twice baked potato, which was listed at $5.95. So, I figured I would have to pay a $2 upcharge, right? Makes sense? Nope - it's a $3 upcharge. HUH? Not wanting to argue, I ordered that. I had a choice of soup or salad bar. At a steakhouse, I expect a nice hearty soup, such as baked potato, some sort of chowder or a bisque. Nope - tomato rice?!?!? The soup arrived rather quickly and it was piping hot. It was good. Not great, but certainly not bad. Then, my meal arrived. The prime rib was cooked EXACTLY the way I asked and was absolutely delicious. Some reviews say the prime rib is bland. They are apparently used to prime rib with a heavily seasoned rub. IMHO - Prime rib needs nothing more than salt and pepper. I enjoyed the prime rib immensely. The potato, on the other hand, was terrible. First of all, it was stone cold in the center. Second, it was loaded with raw green onions. Now, I'm of the camp that baked potatoes should be served with chives, not green onions. Restaurants use the latter because they are cheaper. But chives are more delicate and compliment, rather than overpower, the potato. Luckily, the server took the $3 extra charge off the bill as the potato was inedible. In the future, I will DEFINITELY go back for the Prime Rib. But, I will hope for a better soup option and just go with a regular baked potato.

Good morning Yelpers..I was going to wait to write this review after another try out..but sh*t. The first was a hands down for me. I honestly don't even want to write this(lol) because this place and Maria, fantastic. I want to keep this joint to myself..lol Tip Top service! Tip Top food! Tip Top hospitality! Tons of smiles, great atmosphere, great seating, and it had a certain tranquility about it that I really really enjoyed. It reminded me of a restaurant I use to dine in California in my late teens..another story and restaurant for another time..lol Maria, I want to personally thank you!!!! You made me feel as if I was eating in your kitchen at home. I solute you. You have a great place, a great team and great food. FEENEY'S is my new to go to spot now!!!! Thank you Maria!

Enjoying my bday dessert. It was delicious!

We ended up here as a fluke on my birthday in October. We were supposed to go to a very high-end restaurant and they screwed everything up in the first 15 minutes so we ended up leaving and came across Feeney's . We arrived around eight and they had no problem, taking us in and getting us a table. They were so friendly they made me immediately feel at home and 100% better than the way I felt at that Other restaurant which I shall not name. I love the salad bar. I haven't seen one in years! The prime rib was amazing. Wine selection was good and they brought me a dessert and sang happy birthday and it just made my whole night. So thank you Feeney's for making it special! And we plan on going back in a week for a meet and greet of the in-laws before the wedding so wish us well!

Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and served with the kind of confidence that only comes from a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. We enjoyed talking to him about his travels and life plans. I ordered a drink that I didn't like very much, so he brought me another another one of his choice, which was much better. The food has a Mediterranean flair and was definitely flavorful, but there were a few dishes that were too salty. We tried the zaa'tar man'ouche and the concept was great, but there wasn't enough cheese inside and too much spice/salt on top. The grilled oysters were excellent and had a tasty smoked tomato flavor. For entrees, the lobster tagliatelle had such a delicious smoky flavored sauce, but unfortunately it was way too salty and the lobster was overcooked. We let the manager know about that one and he tasted the sauce and agreed. The herb crusted halibut was very good, with yummy snap peas and beets. We decided to try the black walnut affagato for dessert. It was a bit disappointing because it comes with vanilla ice cream and a black walnut bitter, which is super strong if you taste it alone, but mixed with the ice cream and espresso loses its walnutty flavor. We overpaid for that one. The food is quite overpriced, but if done right I think it's worth it. Just expect that you'll be paying a lot for this dinner. We had a chance to check out the trophy room after dinner; our server was nice enough to make a reservation, likely because it was not too busy that night. They make you lock your phone in a locker. The room is quite small but has unique decor that fits the theme of the restaurant. The bartender did not smile or make eye contact the whole time, but was very knowledgeable about the drinks and different liquers they use. The drink menu is also very unique and has some interesting drink options. I had one with balsamic, strawberry, and marscapone which was different than any drink I've tried before. It was an enjoyable way to end the night.

We also enjoyed the mac and cheese, mushrooms, steak, and seafood. Everything was beautifully prepared, high quality, and worthy of the restaurant's reputation. If I had one minor critique, it would be the king crab legs. They are char-grilled, which gives them a smoky flavor that wasn't quite our personal preference. That said, the quality of the crab itself was excellent, and it's more a matter of taste than a criticism of the preparation. The atmosphere made for a perfect birthday dinner--upscale, energetic, and memorable without feeling stuffy. Combined with outstanding food and attentive service, it made for a special evening that my wife and I won't forget. If you're looking for a restaurant for a celebration, date night, or simply an exceptional dining experience, Maple & Ash delivers. We'll definitely be back.

The salad was supposed to have oranges and radishes - there was one radish slice and zero oranges, and it was drenched in dressing. Couldn't even eat it. We were told we would get a complimentary birthday dessert but when the bill came, we were charged. We asked the waiter and he said they don't do that, even though they said they did earlier, but he said we get a box of macaroons. When he saw we didn't get one, he told whoever it was and one was brought to me. The woman said happy birthday and if you're gluten free you can share it with the others (had a table of 8). What?! We didn't say anything at the time but after thinking about it I was a bit annoyed, especially when one of the friends we were with also felt it was disappointing. It had always been great all the other times we went. Not sure if this was an off night or if the restaurant has gone downhill. Either way, it was an upsetting experience.

The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!

Once we got to the restaurant we could tell why it was so hard, they have less than 10 tables inside, and it's a very small space. We're extremely hyped though because of all the good things we've heard. We ordered two appetizers, bone marrow Elote, and the scallop Crudo. The bone marrow was supposed to be a side for the Elote, which honestly confused me because it came out as bone marrow sprinkled with corn on top, made me confused as to what would've came out if we ordered elote without the bone marrow. The scallop Crudo was so good, served with some kind of tortilla chip, I've had this at lom wongs and I prefer the one here, sauce was sweet and sour, and avocados were perfectly ripe. For our entrée, the four of us shared the 40 ounce ribeye, this was $280 and takes 45 minutes to cook, so it was quite the commitment. The platter comes with tortillas, quesadillas, grilled onions, beans, and more. We are all definitely stuffed by the time we finished it. Meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, and tasted so good with all the fixings of the platter. We also got a birthday dessert on the house which was really nice. It was some kind of pinwheel cake with marshmallow foam on top, it was just OK to me but I'm not a huge dessert person. Really cool restaurant to visit if you were able to score a reservation, I would definitely recommend the ribeye to others if you're looking for something a little elevated at a fun restaurant.

I came mainly for drinks and those didn't disappoint either! We ordered 5 drinks and all were excellent. Say hello to your new favorite downtown restaurant! Wow, where to begin?…read more Service was amazing - they even printed out a small card with our reservation name on it which was presented on our table. Such a cute touch and very thoughtful. Our waitress was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The spot is small and chic. It's very intimate dining so you'll be sitting close to the table next to you. Luckily, it's a quiet and calm space, so no need to worry about noise. The food was incredible. The salmon crudo was possibly the best crudo I have ever had in my entire life. So fresh and the flavors were balanced to perfection. The risotto changed my life... it was so delicious I couldn't even believe it. The only thing I would recommend skipping was the octopus tostada - not my favorite and a little fishy for my liking. Personal preference of course! The duck tasted great and was beautifully presented, but it wasn't my favorite. Again, I'm not a huge meat eater so take my advice on this one with a grain of salt. Overall an extremely romantic and special meal.

To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.
