This was a great meal, atmosphere and service. You can tour the wine room and purchase a bottle (or two) and they bring to your table (or the bar). One of us had a local beer, an iced tea, and another Tarbell's chardonnay. We started with parmesan soup, it was light and refreshing. We had the famous hamburger, smash burger, and the famous BLT. All were great food options. We split mixed thick cut and thin cut fries and chicharons. The sirracha ketchup was perfect. We finished the meal with the coconut cream pie and half chocolate and vanilla gelato to celebrate our friend's birthday.

Tarbells , be it the restaurant, the tavern or wine shop never seems to disappoint! Came for a random lunch with family and my partner. Wonderful service and ambiance! Grilled cheese and tomato bisque I was told was fantastic! My partner had the chicken piccata flatbread with capers, arugula and tomatoes was told it was great. I had the patty melt with grass fed beef and delicious perfectly Toasted rye bread somehow they can make American cheese seem upscale hahaha! Have to have the coconut cream pie it is delectable! Can't wait to go back!

Tarbell's Tavern and Tarbell's has been on bucket list to try. Finally, I had the opportunity to go and it was such a let down. I had 7:00PM dinner reservations for a party of 5. When we arrived we were greeted and seated at a perfect table. The restaurant has a very cozy Bistro feel to it. A lot of customers dining and the noise level was very loud. Honestly this is where our experience started going down hill was with our server and at the end with our billing. We felt rushed with our server, then ignored to the point I had to wave down another server to order more cocktails and to get the bill, especially knowing we were the last seating. Our server's demeanor was like he was doing us a favor throughout our meal. We ordered a Cosmopolitan and a Titos Martini, Slightly Dirty, Shaken cold with extra olives on the side. The Martini was delivered by our server in a very rushed fashion, spilling it on the menus. In addition the martini was served in a whiskey tumbler with ice. To note though: my Cosmopolitan was perfect. Food to follow were 3 Classic American Burgers, the Seared Chilean Sea Bass and 1 Side of Thin Fries. The food was good, was it a WOW? No. Especially not for the price of just a burger on a plate. We had ask our server for separate checks for the party of 3 and then a check for my friend and I of what we ordered. First off, my friend had 2 martinis, why was one $11 and the other $15. We got that adjusted. In addition, my friend had a double burger, no fries, but realized we got charged for Fries after we got home and I was reviewing the bill. I asked my the party of 3 if they got charged for fries also and yes they did because they ordered them. Just the whole vibe from the service was just bad and not having an accurate bill just left a bad taste in my mouth and disappointment. Atmosphere: cozy bistro feel. Service: bad. Food: good but not a WOW.

If you want the cookies make sure to order them at the beginning of your meal because they take about 15 minutes to bake. The quality of the food, service and ambiance was outstanding. Cocktails were delicious. Love that you can choose thick or thin fries. We chose thin & they were crispy and perfectly cooked. Everyone should try the grilled cheese, tomato soup combo. The chicken entree has both dark and white meat which is nice. Our server was friendly and attentive. There is a great wine shop within the restaurant.

I was really excited to try Tarbell's the tavern. We weren't able to get a seat right away and we got a bottle of wine for the table. Our server was very nice and helpful with the menu. The menu is great because it has a lot of food from a lot of different cuisines which is great when not everyone wants just one type of food.I ordered an Asian noodle dish, which was Absolutely amazing. We ended the night with the coconut cream pie, their staple. it did not disappoint.

Tarbell's The Tavern has never not once disappointed me. I often bring friends here , or co workers who stay near here because it's always solid in its food options , understated casual and yet feels upscale to a degree. The menu changes but the fact that the food and service stays on point, doesn't! I love the Lobster Roll - their fries are amazing and shareable. The boards , charcuterie is what I mean , changes and are always a great idea for a table too! On most times that I have decided to come, I've made a reservation because it can get busy ! And what is not to love when the wine store is attached for grabbing a great wine to go home with .. mind you , if you don't love what is on the wine list at Tarbell's , you can choose one in the store to enjoy at the table.. there are A LOT! PS- the desserts here are great too!

Excellent moderately upscale & classy restaurant choice in the area - especially for their double burger which is outstanding. The Tavern has a Hillstone type feel with American food, solid cocktails and an extensive wine shop with unique and rare wines as well as tequilas. The bartenders are always well trained, friendly and make top notch drinks. The biggest complaint from making it a 5 is the value. With the El Tesoro Margarita at $22 and the double burger with no sides at $24, be prepared to pay up.

I loved The Tavern for dine out, though I also enjoyed my table there. Personally, I've fallen for their classic patty melt on toasted rye with sautéed onions. Their classic cheeseburger, pictured below (as a double) is OUTSTANDING! They also make a brilliant coconut cream pie! Recently there were some take out issues, but they were quickly and thoughtfully addressed.

Never have I ever felt racially profiled anywhere until I came to this bar. Me and some friends…read morecame from California and were looking for somewhere to have drinks and watch the game. Tatum the bartender came over and took our order, not very friendly but it was decently busy so no biggie, she checked all of our ID's and brought over the first round of drinks. Our actual waitress then comes over and we try to order another round of drinks when she then asked if she could see our ID's to verify and we all gladly gave her the ID's and this is when things go bad. The waitress took our ID's to scan because she wasn't confident that they were real, we agreed but we look over and she's searching in a book and going online to verify if our ID's were real and at that point it had been about 10-15 minutes of her analyzing the ID's and we just told them to cancel our last round and we will just pay the bill and go because we could tell her concern wasn't to find out if they were real but to prove they were fake. Being a neighboring state to Arizona and working a bar you would assume they have experience with California ID's. After everything she tells us we can no longer be served insinuating that our ID's were fake. Not a single other table around us even got their ID checked. And as we looked around we were the only ones who were of color and no one else in that bar were being bothered with their ID's. As I asked for our ID's back and for the bill Tatum gave me plenty of attitude and didn't bother to tell our waitress our request to cancel the order and return our ID's. After everything we were told we could no longer be served because after all that time waiting her scanner randomly didn't want to work. So a bars ID scanner does not work, a light wasn't used to verify the ID and with the use of the internet and book she still couldn't verify our ID's. After everything no manager was called, no reasoning was given to us on why she thought the ID's weren't real and we were told we couldn't be there even after they had served us alcohol. So if our ID's were so suspicious why serve us the alcohol to begin with. If foul play was being done which wasn't on our end it was already done on their end.
