The seared chicken potstickers were better than I expected, with a light crisped outside and just enough flavorful chicken filling. The copper hat pizza though was amazing. The prosciutto was tender and the dates with the goat cheese worked so well with the peppery arugula. Our waiter was extremely friendly and happy to serve us. It was my first time trying Doughbird and I was pleasantly surprised. The interior atmosphere itself is very nice and feels like a typical Scottsdale restaraunt. The potstickers were very good and we ordered the pizza to share. The food was excellent. We both ordered the ranch chicken salad sandwich with fries. The fries were great. Thick but crispy. I would order that again in a heartbeat. The service was just OK. One of us wanted the sandwich without the avocado and one wanted it with it. So when the sandwiches came, we couldn't tell which was which and the server didn't know. We guessed incorrectly and the one who didn't want avocado got it. As well, one of us ordered iced tea and got a glass of it. Fine. Then along comes the server with another glass of iced tea, this time with lemon. Then she realized her mistake and came back to get it. My companion wanted the lemon and asked for it but didn't get it. So the server wasn't too aware, or maybe it was the kitchen (the avocado). Who knows? It didn't really damage our experience and we would go again. Ambiance - very nice. The booths were comfortable and we could have a conversation without being heard and we didn't hear others. Good location although I noticed that at lunchtime, they set up valet parking because it's in a busy center with lots of businesses who want to reserve parking for their customers. We were able to skirt the valet parking so that was good. If I had to pay for parking, I probably wouldn't go here. When we left, the valet parking was being taken down. So I guess it's a demand situation. Overall, I recommend it but make sure your server understands what you want and check to make sure you get it. read more

I visited Doughbird for the first time and enjoyed my experience. We originally went to grab drinks but ended up getting appetizers and dinner. We started with the Shishito peppers and it was a great portion size to share with a very flavorful dipping sauce. Our server came to greet us in a timely fashion and was quick to explain the concept of the restaurant and run us through the menu since it was our first time. We were very busy catching up and our server was gracious with that and did not rush us. The restaraunt is great for a date night, family dinner, or dinner with a group. This is the 2nd time I have been to this Doughbird location and it was another phenomenal visit! The first time I came was with fellow Yelper Dee A. We went on the last day of Restaurant Week in September ans it was wonderful! I couldn't stop thinking about the Rotisserie Chicken which is what I had ordered last time. The dish is so full of flavor and the broccolini gets me every time! I think they put it in some kind of butter sauce then sprinkle them lightly witch cheese. Whatever they do, it's just simply amazing. The chicken is cooked to just the right temperature and it pairs perfectly with the mashed potatoes. This dish is big enough to share, so I had a yummy lunch the next day. I sampled my friends' food too, and I liked it all. The Crispy Chicken Parmesan was divine, and the Classic Chicken Pot Pie just melts in your mouth. Their portions are not skimpy at all, so be prepared to doggy bag your leftovers or bring a friend to split with. The service can't be beat. Employees here are always so polite ans very cheerful. We never felt rushed and they are attentive ans knowledgeable. They will even make suggestions of you are undecided (which is me 99% off the time). The atmosphere is very casual and laid back, but with an upscale feel. I love the huge bar area and the high top tables. They also offer outdoor seating. Doughbird has a great vibe and setup for dining areas. Had an excellent old fashioned - make it 2 :). Jenna as a server was top notch great server with an excellent disposition and just all around a wonderful person. We were a little late for dinner on a weeknight so the chicken could have been a little better. It wasn't horrible but I think it was a little less fresh than prime time. Doughbird is really good and the service, even on a busy Friday night was exceptional. I made a reservation, which I recommend especially on a Friday or Saturday evening. The parking lot was very full and my mom was with us so she usually wants me to park in the handicapped spot but they only had two spots and they were both full. We arrived about 15 minutes early and they were able to seat us fairly quickly. The place was buzzing and it was very loud. My mom is hard of hearing so I felt like we were shouting the whole dinner or repeating ourselves. We were trying not to overindulge so we ordered salad and a pizza. The people next to us ordered a bunch of apps that all looked really good but we were being good. The Caesar was really basic but surprisingly good! It even smelled good before I dove in. The pizza was also delicious! We split a veggie and a pepperoni. The veggie had mushrooms basil and olives. It was really good. My son also enjoyed his pepperoni pizza but maybe had too many globs of cheese. He doesn't like cheese that much though. We wanted to get dessert so bad because the people next to us had some kind of sundae that looked so good but we resisted. Next time!! Also I didn't get a drink but the wine list looked pretty good as did the cocktail specials. The reason for 4 stars is the place was cold (granted it was January and we were going through a cold snap) but it didn't feel like any heat was on inside. I preordered food yesterday for 5:30 pickup and yet when I arrived at that time the food wasn't ready . I waited inside the Arcadia location for almost 20 minutes before the food was ready. I admittedly was annoyed that ordering food 2 hours in advance for a specific pickup time would result in a delayed pickup close to the promised time . Hope was our friendly & informed server who explained that as a scratch kitchen adjustments could be accommodated. Except trying to make a reservation here, but it just would not go through on my phone. We were leaving the cocktail bar and decided to just see if we could get in anyway. Last time we came here we had to wait over a half hour for a table. We lucked out and they sat us immediately. It was a good thing because 15 minutes later the place was completely packed. This place is quite large, with very topping ceilings and a gorgeous tile on the floor. There are booths and tables, and a couple of large high top tables for bigger groups. You could also sit at a bar that looks over the pizza ovens. They have chicken and pizza - - hence the name Doughbitd. There are also a couple of salads and sandwiches and a few other entrees, like salmon. We skipped appetizers. Happy ordered a chicken sandwich which was served with potato wedges. He really liked it, but I declined a bite. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was so good! The mashed potatoes are very rich and you can definitely tell they are made from scratch. There was not a whole lot special about the broccoli... It was good, but it was just broccoli and I like broccoli. The chicken was the star! The chicken here is so delicious. There's a little bit of sweet and savory together, and it works so well. Servings are quite large, so we both took home half of our meals. That gives us something to look forward to tomorrow! Our server, Ben, was fantastic. He had several tables but still managed to be attentive to all of them. An older woman came in and was dining on her own, and he was so patient while she talked to him and stood there for quite some time helping her understand the menu. Kudos to him! I came here with my family for my birthday and overall had a mixed experience. We had a reservation, which was great, but walking in felt overwhelming because there were two large groups gathered near the entrance and bar area, making it difficult for people to get through to their tables. The food itself tasted very good, but the portion sizes were disappointing. The appetizers seemed more suitable for one or two people, and my rigatoni entrée was much smaller than expected. I was still hungry afterward and ended up sharing food from my family's plates. That said, the service was excellent. Our waiter went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. He showed me the dessert menu, and I ended up getting a delicious slice of butterscotch cake that was definitely a highlight of the night. I also wouldn't recommend the frozen margaritas. I ordered two, and they felt mostly like filler despite being served in tall glasses, with not much actual drink in them. Overall, while there were some positives -- especially the service and dessert -- it's probably not somewhere I'd choose again for a birthday dinner. What a great place. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty. The decor and vibe was spot on. Our waiter Ki was amazing. So attentive and willing to give us time to make our decisions. We started with the cheese bread! I am still dreaming of it. The ricotta and spices were so good. We then shared the wings and chicken barbecue pizza. The wings were slightly spicy and bursting with flavor. But the ranch stole the show! We were able to get a reservation for a group of 12 girls on a bachelorette party. A few hours prior to the reservation they called to confirm our table and group size which was appreciated. Immediately upon arrival we were seated at our outdoor table and placed our orders. I ordered "The Local" which was absolutely delicious! I also ordered the spicy Hawaiian pizza without ham & added mushrooms and that was extremely tasty as well. The restaurant is known for their pizzas and chicken so our group all tried out different pizzas and everyone said their pizzas were delicious! He was warm, genuinely friendly, and incredibly attentive without ever hovering. He anticipated what we needed, and made the entire evening feel seamless and relaxed. The food was also outstanding. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the margarita pizza was delicious, and the Fox Block wine is our favorite. Bonus tip - wine is half off on Tuesdays!!! I skipped this place for six months after moving to the area, and I regret waiting so long to try it! One of my favorite things to get at any restaurant is roasted chicken. It's healthy and yummy if done right. But most places don't do it right. Doughbird does it right. I have sat at the bar every time I go. Service is extremely prompt and friendly. It's not social like a bar-bar. But it's perfect for dinner. The cooks work right behind the bar so you get to see everything being made. Man, they work hard! I haven't had the pizza but it looks really good. It's a wood or stone oven and the dough looks fresh and I see them hand stretching. The chicken is properly roasted with decently crispy skin (but could be crispier). It comes with creamy home made mash potatoes and gravy broccoli. Pretty good healthy balance though the gravy is quite rich (and delicious!). Prices are normal for the neighborhood. My guest had the gluten-free pizza and was really impressed, which isn't always easy to find done well. We also ordered the rigatoni with chicken and broccolini to and it held up great--fresh, flavorful, and a solid portion. Dessert was the perfect finish. I had the lemon meringue pie, which was light, tangy, and not overly sweet, and my daughter loved the butterscotch cake. I met my meetup group for dinner at Doughbird one week night. A reservation was already made for us and when I arrived, the staff directed me to our reserved table. The staff was pleasant and quick to respond throughout the evening. The dining room is spacious and bright with plenty of natural light. Doughbird specializes in pizza and rotisserie. They offer gluten-free options, but their kitchen is not gluten-free. I ordered the following: Espresso Martini $15 Black Truffle Mushroom $21 + $3 for gluten-free crust The espresso martini comes with three olives espresso, cold brew, and caffè borghetti. It was good, but I do wish they made it with real espresso. Espresso martinis with cold brew just don't do it for me. The black truffle mushroom comes with smoked mozzarella, swiss chard, parmesan cream, arugula, and saba. It was excellent! I really enjoyed the flavor and was pleasantly surprised by their house-made gluten-free crust. I don't like most GF crusts, but theirs had great consistency. I would order their GF crust again.
