Definitely an upscale busy restaurant here but they work to earn your respect by paying attention to the basics of service. They're friendly, courteous, and focus in on the reason for your visit. In this case we were celebrating a big birthday for my mom and Jenna made sure she felt special and welcomed. The basics here are also handled well- food coming out quickly, plates being cleared away etc. My sister and I shared a Prime Rib French Dip and I enjoyed every aspect of it. The bread can make or break the sandwich but it was the perfect consistency and I loved the garlic butter on it. Gruyère was a good choice for the cheese. We appreciated that Jenna brought a complimentary crème brûlée for my mom's birthday but she took it a step further. She arranged for us to have the larger size so that the four of us could split the dessert - truly going above and beyond. Le Âme is essentially a high-budget film set for people whose entire personality is "I once spent a weekend in the 8th Arrondissement." The decor is stunning, but the atmosphere is thick with the scent of $400 hair appointments and desperation. The hostess looked at my outfit with the kind of soul-crushing judgment usually reserved for people who clap when the plane lands. The service is "European," which in Phoenix translates to: "I will acknowledge your existence once every twenty minutes, provided you look like you own a yacht." Our server was "mesmerizingly handsome" (their words, not mine--okay, maybe mine too), but the pacing was... leisurely. If you have plans later in the decade, you might want to order your dessert menu when you sit down. From the ambiance to the food it checks all the right boxes. I have been here several times now for lunch and dinner. Both are fantastic options. I usually always start with the Onion Dip with Potato Chips with Caviar you get 30g Osetra Caviar for $85 so really not that badly priced and the onion dip and chips are amazing. I have had their Rueben for lunch and that was incredible. easily one of the top 3 I have had for lunch. For dinner appetizers I recommend the Tuna Ponzu which was nice a light for a way to start the meal. The Shortrib Bourguigon was the perfect dish if you are craving classic French. It really looks amazing indoors at night. Since we had reservations (and considering it was basically still valentine's day) we were seated quite promptly even though we arrived a little later than expected. The place was PACKED when we arrived and seating was fairly close to one another. Service was great at checking on us, taking our orders, and refilling our drinks without letting them sit too long. We were celebrating an anniversary so they served us two glasses of wine(?) as well as a cookie dessert on the house. Definitely nice gestures, especially since both tasted good. We ordered quite a bit of food, some of which I wasn't too thrilled with. The Truffled Brie Baguette was decent but underwhelming in my opinion and didn't really justify the price for 4 pieces of stuffed bread. The Steak Tartare was okay but on the salty side. As for the other food and drinks, such as the Truffle Twice Baked Potato and Old Fashioned were both really good. The main entrees like the Ricotta Ravioli and Sole were amazing, but a little much considering proportions and price. I'm not local to the AZ but I had a great time here and so did my girlfriend. For drinks I ordered the Parisian Spritz, which was light, refreshing, and a perfect way to start the night. For dinner I got the truffle chicken and it was so good. Our server mentioned it's one of their more popular dishes and that they tend to run out, so if you see it on the menu I'd definitely recommend ordering it while you can. For dessert we shared the Toffee & Pecan Gateaux and wow... it was amazing. 1000/10 recommend The service was also 5 star. Our server was super attentive and did a great job explaining the menu and pointing out the must have dishes, which we really appreciated. If you're looking for a romantic date night spot that's definitely more upscale than your run-of-the-mill chain steakhouse joint, but not snooty or ridiculously priced, this is it! For the amazing service, quality food, and amazing vibes, this was so worth the price. The steaks we got were cooked exactly how we asked, and the sides were soooo tasty. We had to get two variations of potatoes of course, because I'm obsessed with potatoes for sides and that twice-baked potato was HEAVENLY! A heads up, their espresso martinis are sooo delicious... but a little dangerous... I was definitely feeling mine after half the glass! I would love to come back and try more of the appetizers, or the oysters, because I hear they're great. You can see that by some of the photos maybe. It was near the front but it would have been nice for a little extra light near the tables on the edge. This place is PHENOMENAL. Easily one of the top 5 dinners of my life. The steak tartare on a slice of baguette was heavenly. The sommelier recommended a lovely red from Adelaide, AUS that you can't get in the US which was a fun experience. We also enjoyed the steak frites cooked perfectly medium rare and my partner's new york strip was also perfect. The mac and cheese was divine due to the multiple cheese mixture (and there was plenty leftover for the next day!!) and you GOTTA try the duck fat hash browns. Let me just say the restaurant is beautiful and showcased beautiful people but that's about all we experienced. This establishment was recommended to us while visiting but it missed the mark on the food and customer service. Points of interest: - Reservation was at 8:45pm for the Main Dining Seating. Somehow we ended up getting seated in the bar area at 9:15pm. Greeted by the Manager a few minutes after we were seated but it wasn't to address the long wait and being seated in the wrong area. - Server acknowledged our table 20mins after seated to get our orders. - French Onion Soup (French Onion Soup is one of my favorite soups, excited...kind of) but was served at close to 10pm. Unfortunately, the soup had a very salty taste and the croutons were too mushy. The remainder of the meal was served at 10:20pm, listed below: - Steak Frites, ordered medium but was undercooked and was closer to the medium rare/rare. - Asparagus, decent. - Persian mushroom, tasted like red wine and salt, did not look or taste reduced enough and were very firm not very soft. - Short Rib, was tasty but it was the only part of the meal we could eat. And he has been literally on top of everything from start to finish. So highly recommend Jacob as your waiter. You can't go wrong with any of the brunch cocktails here. I did order the Oscar Benedict and it had a little bit of everything in terms of size, including potatoes, salad. Those little yummy macarons were not on the menu and was a thoughtful complementary gift So many things on the menu sounded delicious so of course we ordered way more than our stomachs could handle. We started with the wedge salad. Did not taste like your typical wedge salad and had so much flavor in the dressing. Delicious! Next was the escargot that I usually just dip my bread in to sop up all that garlic butter because the thought of eating a snail makes me gag. After dipping my bread into their creamy sauce that they laid the escargot in, I had this desire come over me to eat the little snails. I closed my eyes and took a bite and oh boy were they delicious!! Tasted like I was eating mushrooms. After finishing all of those delicious mollusks came our main dishes. I ordered the Truffle Roasted Chicken and my husband ordered the Lobster Bucatini with skirt steak. I actually enjoyed my husband's Lobster Bucatini more than my Truffle Roasted Chicken Not sure what is in that sauce but it was so good. Skirt steak was so tender and cooked to perfection. Our shared side item was the Truffle Twice Baked Potato which was delicious but unfortunately we were so full we had to take it home. I will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Scottsdale and highly recommend if you are looking for a really nice place for dinner. How enchanting Walking into the Global Ambassador Hotel makes you feel very Old Hollywood, then whisked through the lobby to the Le Ame dining space continues the vibe. Greeted by poised staff with friendly, coy smiles and led to the table. Even tucked away in the dining lounge, among the Scottsdale bar patrons, even enhanced the Speak Easy Old World feel. The linens and flatware add unspoken class to the experience. The beautiful Gimlet I ordered was tart and flavorful and a perfect temperature. While the caviar was more mild, the presentation and our server's conversational way of guiding our menu selections did not let that alter our experience. The Duck Spring rolls were crisp and fresh (and we were able to have an order of 4 created, instead of the 3 that normally come as an appetizer), the Tartar was creamy and zingy with the perfect amount of mustard. Our entrees came at the perfect time, after letting our snack and cocktails settle amid fun conversation. The Lobster should not be missed; its richness with the Bucatini was divine. Our steaks were excellent, and every comment and request was listened to and honored. The 4 of us had cocktails, appetizers, caviar service, steak entrees and a dessert. Our bill was under $600. Our waiter - and every member of staff we encountered - was fine dining trained. I would happily repeat this experience. And on a Friday Night! First what a BEAUTIFUL restaurant on the first floor of The Global Ambassor. Real candles on the tables and views of the gorgeous courtyard to the west of the main room. Appetizers set the culinary tone for the night. My Escargot dish was probably the best I've ever tasted. Such a delicious flavor including andouille sausage (VERY different from the typical butter and garlic presentation I've had dozens of times). My friend's Caesar Salad was perfectly cold and dressed. Don't miss the Paris Baguette served hot with special butter. I was wowed immediately by the appetizers. My Filet Au Poivre was perfectly medium rare and the peppercorn sauce delightful.
