What a fantastic dinner! The Steak & Frites summer special was absolutely incredible. The oysters were fresh, and the steak tartare (not pictured) was great! The service was excellent as well. Our server was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, even while managing a very busy dining room. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend ordering the Steak & Frites while it's available! The one critique I have would be the volume inside the restaurant. It was very loud but didn't ruin our experience.

Redemption! Went back and gave Le Ame a second chance and they absolutely redeemed themselves. What an amazing dinner we had. Every course was great but my favorite was the steak frites. Perfectly cooked medium rare, the seasoning on the steak was perfect and hot crispy fries to go with it. Service and ambience was also amazing this time around as we went for dinner and not brunch. All in all, a great meal for the 5 of us and we all walked out saying we can't wait to come back.

Had a wonderful dining experience at this establishment for my birthday. I was able to make a reservation online and our table was available upon arrival. They were really sweet and put us at a booth with candlelight and ambience was just pretty romantic. This restaurant really made me feel special on my birthday. I really enjoyed that they gave me a handwritten card and everyone was just very happy to be there. Our server was a delight and I would definitely come back here. For the food, we both end up ordering steak and frites as it was an offering on that evening and included unlimited fries. My husband could not get enough of this. He also got the truffle fries which were flavored just right. My steak was done perfectly and the flavor was just right. We also were able to have some drinks and our server was able to score us some beer from a nearby establishment that was on tap that was delicious. The icing on top of the evening is that they gave me a complementary crème brûlée for my birthday and it was very good. I'm not even a big crème brûlée person, but the char on top of the crème brûlée was so crispy and so caramelized that you could not resist eating that entire thing. All in all, I would definitely come back here. I would love to try some of the other items on the menu. Plus the espresso smelled amazing. I will say that this is a place you should get a reservation for because it was very busy. But the experience itself was perfect and just looking at all the cute outfits that the staff was wearing was a vibe. Btw the robust amount of management that came by to check on our table was authentic. It just ensured that they were about you having a good experience. This Parisian restaurant is located inside of the global ambassador so you are able to valet your car or you can also park in the nearby garage. This happened to be our third time here and we were not aware that we could get validation for parking in the nearby garage.

UPDATE on my review: I went here for brunch and I'm disappointed at how beautiful the hotel is and the coffee is just meh. I even ordered a second latte in hopes the first one was just a mess up but they both were tasteless, watery and not elevated given it's a very expensive hotel. The quiche was very good but salad was eh as well. It was just spring mix tossed with olive oil. They do validate parking if you park in the parking garage but I would skip out on the coffee bar here.

Holy smokes - this is a meal I'll be wanting again and again. Recently visited on a breakfast date and decided to truly indulge. The service was stellar from the get-go, and we were quickly seated and tended to. The coffee was flavorful and yet not overly sweet, which paired great once our savory meal arrived. The duck fat hashbrowns are out of this world and I wish these could be my breakfast more often. The crispy exterior pairs so well with the delicate and gooey interior. Not to mention the sauce it is paired with is amazing. We split the French dip and eggs Benedict which was more than enough food for two. We followed up the meal with sticky toffee pudding which brought the whole experience to a perfect closing. Our server was attentive and helpful in terms of providing suggestions on pairings. We will definitely be back!

Jennifer was amazing. The restaurant is very loud, especially if you sit across from the person you came with. In other words, it was not quite what I expected; did not give intimate. The steak frites were incredible. Servers were very nice. The free champagne and dessert for an anniversary was lovely. Thank you, would come on a less busy night.

Wow! This place lives up to the hype. We have been intending to make our way over here for sometime now. We came on Memorial Day for lunch. I wasn't sure how full it was going to be so I made a reservation online for 11:45 am. FYI we did our own self parking outside the garage but we found parking can get validated here. It wasn't too full and we got seated right away. The inside is beautiful and elegant. Service was excellent. Everyone was so attentive. I started off with the pressed juice, Parisian Cure: Carrot, Apple, Cucumber, Ginger, Lemon. It was so good! That is usually my to go to blend of fruits and veggies for a pressed juice. Very natural tasting and perfect. 5/5. You can take these to go which I will in the future. Fair price too compared to other places. My partner has the L'orange martini: Park VS. Apricot Liqueur, Cointreau, Lemon, Orange Oil. He found it strong (but that's the nature of martinis), flavorful and refreshing. He enjoyed it 5/5. Next up we shared the French onion soup and Caesar salad and they were made into our own individual portions. French onion soup wax to die for! By far my favorite onion soup I've had. 5/5 The Caesar salad called the, cacio e Pepe Caesar was simple but perfect. Dressing wasn't too peppery and great in flavor. I was worried about the croutons being more crumbled but it still added the perfect crunch. 5/5 Next up, main dish: steak frites. Amaaaazing! We've been on a mission to look for a yummy steak frites and everywhere we've been we have been disappointed (flavor off, sauce terrible, temperature of meat over or under cooked, steak quality not good, fries unimpressive). HOWEVER that was not the case here! EVERYTHING was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfect. Flavor was simple yet enough. The quality of the steak was good for what it was. Got the classic fries and they were beautifully made with crisp crunchy outside and soft inside. Salty but not too salty fries that hit perfect with every bite. Looooooved! 5/5 I came in with skepticism but left with happy stomach and heart! This place definitely lived up to the hype. Happy we came. I would love to check out the coffee/matcha in the future. I also would love to find back to check out the dinner since we loved it so much. What a great experience. Definitely recommend!

Came here and tried the salted maple latte, so good! Also tried the lemon blueberry danish. The service was great, she had some awesome recommendations and was very friendly. The space is great if you want to grab a coffee and/or study. There's lots of people on their laptops studying. Definitely want to come back when I need to get some work done. I want to come back and try their espresso martini!

Crème brûlée for four of us
    Christine B.

Definitely an upscale busy restaurant here but they work to earn your respect by paying attention to the basics of service. They're friendly, courteous, and focus in on the reason for your visit. In this case we were celebrating a big birthday for my mom and Jenna made sure she felt special and welcomed. The basics here are also handled well- food coming out quickly, plates being cleared away etc. My sister and I shared a Prime Rib French Dip and I enjoyed every aspect of it. The bread can make or break the sandwich but it was the perfect consistency and I loved the garlic butter on it. Gruyère was a good choice for the cheese. We appreciated that Jenna brought a complimentary crème brûlée for my mom's birthday but she took it a step further. She arranged for us to have the larger size so that the four of us could split the dessert - truly going above and beyond. The valet area is a little hectic ( and $) but you do have the option to self park instead. Le Âme was a nice spot to celebrate with our mother.

Delicious girls night out! Their steak frites dinner deal is INCREDIBLE. $35 for a perfect steak and unlimited fries. Their service is top notch, hard to beat honestly. 10/10 would recommend.

    Crab cake
    Michelle C.

Came in on a Tuesday night for the summer special $35 steak and fries deal, and it was great. The meal also came with a salad, which made it very filling. We ended up getting the crab cake appetizer, and it was nicely crispy and flavorful. The crème brûlée for dessert was amazing, so definitely don't skip it. The ambiance is classy and elegant, and I really liked the open-concept kitchen. Service was professional, though slightly on the slower side. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner.

One of my favorite spots due to the ambiance and atmosphere ! This is at the global ambassador and You feel like you're in France ! I've never been to France but this is what I imagine it looks like on this street. similar to Barcelona. This is a hot date night spot, and in fact was my first date with my current bf ! Top shelf liquor and a pretty decent steak! An extensive wine list and they may even let you taste the wine like they allowed me. I was excited to taste a $45 glass of wine. That was a first! Wasn't my favorite But still I love to wine taste. I wound up getting the clay Shannon. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff !

If you're looking for a place where the ego-to-entree ratio is wildly skewed, welcome home. Le Âme is essentially a high-budget film set for people whose entire personality is "I once spent a weekend in the 8th Arrondissement." The decor is stunning, but the atmosphere is thick with the scent of $400 hair appointments and desperation. The hostess looked at my outfit with the kind of soul-crushing judgment usually reserved for people who clap when the plane lands. The service is "European," which in Phoenix translates to: "I will acknowledge your existence once every twenty minutes, provided you look like you own a yacht." Our server was "mesmerizingly handsome" (their words, not mine--okay, maybe mine too), but the pacing was... leisurely. If you have plans later in the decade, you might want to order your dessert menu when you sit down. Overall, I actually love the food here and would recommend coming during the week when perhaps the staff are in better spirits.

I checked us in for our reservation and the hostess welcomed us in, then promptly took us to the table that had been beautifully prepared for our dining experience. She asked if the lighting was too dim, but it was perfect. Every staff member was dressed neatly and welcomed us as we walked by. No staff members were running around frantically, and I could tell they are staffed amazingly well. So organized and kind, genuinely smiling at us. Let us know not to touch the 500 degree plates when they arrived. He took out drink orders and answered any question we had. He promptly came back with drinks and fresh, hot rolls!! Daniel took our dinner orders. We all sat and visited while waiting, enjoying our drinks and the hot rolls. Dinner was served on, as promised, hot plates!! Then, they served each of us the crème brûlée corn. All of us that ordered meat, asked for medium rare and we were not disappointed!! Our meats were spot on!!! Perfection!!! The petite filet mignon were very juicy and delicious, as was the New York strip. The Crispy Hasselback Potatoes were so good, especially with the topping. The Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs were so good!!! I feel like our meals were simple yet divine!! After we enjoyed dinner, we were served the Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake, on the house!! What a nice touch!! So yummy and it felt guilty eating such a fabulous dessert!! We all shared it! All in all, I wish I could give 10/10 stars!! Such a wonderful dinner experience!! We left to run a quick errand and returned just in time to be seated. The atmosphere was lively with live music, $2 oysters, drink specials all night, and their regular happy hour menu. We ordered a dozen oysters, ceviche, trout dip, tuna crispy rice (not on happy hour, but it's too good to pass up) and wine. Everything was fresh and delicious, just what we've come to expect from Buck & Rider. Even with the restaurant packed, the bartenders were friendly and attentive. The only unusual part of the evening happened before we even walked in. There was a woman passed out in the bushes outside covered in vomit. We mentioned it to the hostess when we checked in, and she let us know they were already aware of the situation and were handling it. Obviously, that's not something the restaurant can control, and it's definitely not something we've ever seen outside Buck & Rider before. Overall, it was another great visit. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were excellent, and Oyster Day is definitely worth checking out if you're an oyster lover.

Arizona has an under-seasoning epidemic but Vecina has comfortably beaten the allegations. Flavors…read morewere all on point and as expected from the components on the menu, which doesn't happen often in Phoenix. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

We ordered a bottle of wine and went to town on: White Bean Puree * Crispy Short Rib | Herb Salad | Flour Tortilla: Karaage * Aji Amarillo | Citrus Gastrique | Togarashi | Lime Elote * Chorizo Butter | Lime Creme Fraiche | Toasted Chiles Romaine * Buttermilk Dressing | Mexican Sriracha | Parmesan | Noble Bread Breadcrumbs Gambas al Ajillo * Wild Shrimp Co. Mexican Shrimp | Paprika Garlic Butter | Serrano Cruda | Garlic Noble Bread - this was the only dish that was not my favorite. SUPER flavorful but I wanted a more.. 'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!

Pretty hard to get a reservation here. Tables open on the first of every month for the entire…read moremonth, we managed to score a 8 PM reservation. Once we got to the restaurant we could tell why it was so hard, they have less than 10 tables inside, and it's a very small space. We're extremely hyped though because of all the good things we've heard. We ordered two appetizers, bone marrow Elote, and the scallop Crudo. The bone marrow was supposed to be a side for the Elote, which honestly confused me because it came out as bone marrow sprinkled with corn on top, made me confused as to what would've came out if we ordered elote without the bone marrow. The scallop Crudo was so good, served with some kind of tortilla chip, I've had this at lom wongs and I prefer the one here, sauce was sweet and sour, and avocados were perfectly ripe. For our entrée, the four of us shared the 40 ounce ribeye, this was $280 and takes 45 minutes to cook, so it was quite the commitment. The platter comes with tortillas, quesadillas, grilled onions, beans, and more. We are all definitely stuffed by the time we finished it. Meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, and tasted so good with all the fixings of the platter. We also got a birthday dessert on the house which was really nice. It was some kind of pinwheel cake with marshmallow foam on top, it was just OK to me but I'm not a huge dessert person. Really cool restaurant to visit if you were able to score a reservation, I would definitely recommend the ribeye to others if you're looking for something a little elevated at a fun restaurant.

This can happen to You. I rarely leave negative reviews, but…read moreafter this experience, I feel it's important to share what happened so other families can make informed decisions. My family and I had a confirmed reservation and arrived on time, only to be told that our names were not on the reservation list. I presented proof of my reservation, including the confirmation text showing my reservation details and that my credit card information was taken to secure the booking. Despite this evidence, the staff insisted they could not accommodate us. The only option we were offered was outdoor seating in the extreme heat, which was simply not appropriate given that my parents are elderly. When we explained our concerns, we were told there was no room inside and no alternative solutions were offered. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of customer service and accountability. While there was an apology and a brief acknowledgment of my frustration, there was no attempt to offer a reservation that would work for my family and I. No gesture of goodwill and no effort to make things right. Instead, the staff member asked me, "What do you want me to do, there is no room?"--a response that felt dismissive rather than service-oriented. To make matters even more frustrating, the hostess appeared unfamiliar with the restaurant's own reservation system. She initially insisted that I need to use the OpenTable app, despite the fact that I showed her my reservation confirmation text with my reservation details and credit card information. The restaurants website has a reservation tab that has a link to make the reservation. After seeing the confirmation, she changed her explanation, which only added to the confusion and gave me little confidence that the situation was being handled appropriately. I asked several times of speaking with a supervisor or manager and the hostess declined me speaking with someone that of higher authority, more experience in these situations. I gave her my name and information so someone would follow up. Needless to say, I did not receive a follow up. This restaurant has earned a James Beard distinction, so I expected a level of professionalism and hospitality that matched its reputation. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. Mistakes can happen at any restaurant, but what defines excellent hospitality is how those mistakes are handled. In this case, there was no meaningful effort to resolve the issue or show concern for the inconvenience caused to my family. My disappointment is not simply that our reservation was lost--it's that we were left feeling as though our business and our time didn't matter. I sincerely hope the restaurant improves its reservation process and customer service so that no other family has to experience the frustration and embarrassment that we did.

What an amazing evening, beautifully curated with so many thoughtful details. Only downside is that…read morefor some reason Apple maps was not accurate to finding the location and parking was a challenge as it is right on Roosevelt Row. However as soon as I found it and immediately after entering Pretty Penny I was transformed to the cutest little restaurant. I was greeted immediately and had made a reservation so even though my friend hadn't arrived yet, they sat me down. They instantly offered water and menus (food and cocktail). I noticed that the menu seemed very small and the dishes were shareable -- I don't eat meat so I was hoping my friend wouldn't mind sticking with fish and seafood (which she didn't). As soon as I got to my table there was the cutest sign that said welcome to Sarah Sherman and guest -- it was such an adorable and personal touch, I loved that! As soon as my friend got there we immediately both ordered the cold brew old fashioned -- we thought about the espresso martini but this just sounded too good to pass up -- and we were not disappointed! This drink was so tasty and strong. We immediately ordered the bread (sourdough boule) to soak up some of the alcohol as well as some oysters and the salsa. The oysters were so well spiced and were absolutely delicious. But the bread, the bread, the bread -- the server mentioned that it took almost 9 months to develop the bread recipe and it served. It was the best bread and butter that I think I have ever had! The salsa was good but probably was my least favorite of everything and it was still super yummy. We then moved on to the octopus tostadas. Sometimes octopus is not my fav -- it can be too chewy but this was so amazing and incredibly flavorful. It was starting to be my favorite dish until we ordered the Hamachi -- OMG!! Talk about a mouth orgasm-- both my friend and I were yummming it up -- but seriously this bite was so complex with different flavors coming up with every chew -- it has coriander candied peanuts, fermented pineapple, avocado, pickled fresno, toasted coconut and aji amarillo yogurt -- The server mentioned that this was the chef's least favorite dish which I totally do not understand because this was off the charts in my book. We also tried the earl gray whiskey sour, which was light and delicious, and ended with the shrimp toast and the espresso martini. By the way the toast on the shrimp toast was like a little fried dough triangle -- sooooo gooood! The martini was good but the cold brew old fashioned really stole the spotlight for me. Other details I loved that just elevated the experience: Purse hook (very important to me), the little trays for your utensils, metal coasters, incredibly attentive servers, fantastic music, great ambiance and the cutest was the penny they put on top of your check. So cute -- was not expecting such an enjoyable all around experience!! Will be back 1000%!!!

It was pretty good but certainly not worth the titular pretty penny price--and we didn't even get…read morethe recommended 8 dishes, which is, like, the entire menu. To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.
