    Menu - November 2025

In November, my niece was officially adopted and we wanted to celebrate, so my besties suggested this place. They had been before on Valentine's Day, and remarked that they were accommodating for having a little one in tow. Now they have two little ones (fostering to adopt). We made reservations to ensure we could get a table on a Friday night, and grateful they sat us on the patio as we had two under two dining with us. Our server was Frankie, and was very friendly with the kids. Though, we had mentioned that we were celebrating the oldest being officially adopted but that was not acknowledged. We didn't expect anything more than a congratulations, but that small effort would have been nice as the champagne we ordered was opened/delivered. The patio and interior is very beautiful with a French ambiance and charm. We ordered both wine with the Dinner for Two (Steak Dinner), and cocktails as a night cap with dessert. Additionally, we ordered the five fromages as I will always order cheese if dining somewhere that offers quality cheese. I'm glad they could accommodate a nut allergy. I thought it was a bit pricey in comparison to other cheese plates I've had as for $40 you usually more accompaniments or even larger slices of cheese. The Dinner for Two was delicious, though a bit more cooked than I'd like for medium rare. The flavor was there and the sides were delightful, so I definitely enjoyed it despite the overcook. I even enjoyed a friend's tuna tartare, which was a first time trying for me. Lastly, to end on a sweet note, the Dinner for Two comes with Zinc Soufflé. This was easily in my top five for best soufflé that I've had. Incredibly rich and indulgent! A definite item I'd order every time dining here, and I think the perfect size to share. The food alone will bring me back here, though I would prefer without the kiddos as it didn't feel like the most welcoming place for them. If there isn't a kid's menu, Auntie D is going to politely ask to pick another place. Though to celebrate the successful adoption of my niece, this place was an excellent choice! From sitting down to paying our check, three hours have passed so I would definitely plan when you have no other plans. I foresee this being a lovely spot to celebrate an adult birthday, anniversary, job promotion, or another special occasion when you want to leisurely take in the moment.

I really, really like Zinc Bistro. The decor has that French bistro feel, with fringe edged velvet curtains and globe lighting fixtures. There is a sparkle Eiffel Tower in the middle of the dining room, a couple of lovely patios. There is also a full bar, Anna's plenty of bar seating. The menu is, of course, French. There were so many good choices that if made it difficult to choose. Almost immediately, someone brought a basket of bread and butter. I ordered my regular go-to, an Amaretto Sour, and hubby got an Amstel Light. For dinner we ordered: *Ahi Tuna Steak Bordelaise with spiced peppercorn crust, bok choy, parsley, black truffle, and Bone marrow bordelaise *Cassoulet Toulousaine-- confit duck leg & thigh, white beans, foie sausage, pâté maison & fermented honey glaze *Zinc Valrhona Chocolate Souffle with chocolate sauce Everything was so delicious. The crust on the ahi was to die for, with just the perfect amount of kick. You can't find cassoulet too many places in the area, but if the cassoulet I have found, this was the best--so good! The service was perfect. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Even the man who fills the water was very nice. When he boxed up my dinner, he included fresh bread. This place is perfect dates night place, so if you have a "first date" coming up, go to Zinc Bistro and your date will love it! This place is in Kierland Commons, do parking can be a little difficult. Factor that in when you have a reservation.

Went here for a friends birthday and it was wonderful. Ate on the early side but thankfully we had a reservation as it filled up quickly. The inside was spacious and we did not feel as though we were sitting on top of other tables around us. Our server was very good and explained the menu and specials quickly and took our drink orders. I went with the Manhattan. It was really good. For my meal I went with the steak frites and it was delicious! Steak was cooked well and paired well with the sauce. There were also a lot of fries that came with it. I also tried the braised beef cheeks and they were excellent! For dessert we split the chocolate souffle. It was really good, but too much for one person, so glad we split it. Overall great meal and experience. We will be back again in the not too distant future.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience. A party of 4 for a special birthday dinner and seated in the courtyard, which was a nice outdoor table setting. Susan was super nice and informative. The food was good as usual. The wine, champagne, and martini were excellent as expected. We had a feast and enjoyed it! We ordered onion soup, Prime Flat Iron, Pinot Braised Beef, roasted beet salad, steak tartare, Ahi Tuna Steak Bordelaise, seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Pâté Maison, Haricots Verts., and the birthday chocolate dessert was on the house. Thank you, Susan! We wished we received better service. We felt rushed throughout the dining experience. We have been here a few times, individually, and together (each one of us four). This time was a bit different, so we want to bring this up to management's attention. We learned that there was a large party going on. We wanted to be understanding; however, we were also paying customers. Susan and other staff looked overwhelmed. Our empty plates from appetizers sat for a long while, as many staff members passed by, including a lady manager. My main course came out about 25 minutes before the others. We waited for all entrees to be served at the same time. The staff brought us two glasses of wine, which was nice and efficient. She took the empty champagne flutes away and also cleared other clutter from the table. There were many staff members, but they didn't seem well coordinated. A staff delivered a Tuna Tartare to our table, and we did not accept it since we didn't order that -- we ordered Tuna Steak. These are just our observations; we have always enjoyed this place. We hope next time will be a better service experience to complete the package. Cheers!

MAYRA!!!! She is always the most incredible attentive and friendly server around. Her energy always improves my experience. I come here quite often and when she is my server, I am one happy camper..... not to mention I love the champagne, the Prosecco, the green beans and the steak and fries.

Rich with flavor and want a great date night? This is the place! The beef short rib was so tender that I didn't need a knife! The mashed potatoes were creamy and salted perfectly. The steak and frites were cooked perfectly! The steak was amazing and the thin crispy fries were my favorite! Can't wait to go back!

We had a really nice experience here at Zinc Bistro. Zinc Bistro is located at Kierland Commons and makes you feel like you are eating at a romantic sidewalk cafe in Paris. They even have an Eiffel Tower display inside of the restaurant. I booked a reservation for two and we were given a basket of French bread and butter to start off with. Zinc Bistro provides a nice setting for conversation. I was on a first date and it was the perfect place to get to know someone while enjoying delicious food. The food was really good and so was the service. Zinc Bistro brings shellfish daily that includes oysters, clams, mussels and lobster. My date is a big oyster fan and really enjoyed the oysters here. I got the Herbed Potato Gnocchi as my entrée. Overall, we had a nice time drinking wine while enjoying the ambiance here at Zinc Bistro. The pricing was very reasonable for the level of the experience.

Had a fabulous lunch at Zinc with a girlfriend! We sat in the quaint patio area in the back of the restaurant. I love the ambiance and the server was so attentive! We truly enjoyed our meals! I had my favorite there- the crab omelette is divine! It's so fluffy and filled with delicious crab! My girlfriend loved her meal as well- the curry chicken sandwich. They always use fresh ingredients and beautifully present the dishes! I will be back again!!

Cute little French Bistro that is not so little. We just had apps and salad and it was delicious. My husband had the little bitch oysters and they were fresh and delicious. I had the seared Foie gras and it was amazing. Pricy as expected but a nice meal. The service was great. Next time I will try the steak Fritz but we are having a big dinner tonight so keeping it light for lunch.

Well, I was supposed to have my spa day at the sanctuary today but they could not find my reservation. So rather than drive back to Chandler I thought I would drive up to Kierland and walk around a bit. I decided to stop in at the Zinc Bistro For a late breakfast. I ordered the beignets and coffee with a shot of Baileys. The beignets were terrible. When I think of beignets, I think of the beignets in New Orleans. They didn't have a lot of flavor and they were covered in cinnamon and sugar. It came with the chocolate sauce, but I just didn't care for it. My server was nice but she was a bit slow. I had to go inside and find her to ask for my check. The place had just opened so it was just myself and two other people in the restaurant. Maybe they were still setting up but the service was slow.

Noelle manages and buys for the business and Duc does all the cooking and baking. With Noelle spending 15 years residing in Paris, and Duc over 30 you can see their passion for French cuisine. My friend loved her lobster salad sandwich accompanied by a spring mix. I loved the French vinaigrette that came with my salad! It was lip smacking! I wish I could buy some to take home. With a variety of in house made pastries and baked goods, I'm eager to return for coffee time or dinner on Fridays or Saturdays evenings. BYOB if you care to have some liquor accompany your meal, hours 5-7 pm. Plenty of free parking in this strip mall. The genuine cheerful service is refreshing as is the Paris influenced interior decor. Employees were gracious and didn't even make us feel rushed even when we realized it was 20 mins past their posted operating hours. I've heard that three quarters of their business is from returning customers. I too, will become one of them!

(I did not. I ordered a full breakfast and a waffle like an adult with priorities.) I went around 9:15am on a Wednesday--only a few tables were occupied, and the staff was super friendly, gave great recommendations, and the food came out fast. Inside is dialed in with chandeliers, French-y posters and photos everywhere, and a pastry case with tarts, pastries, and cheesecake that basically dares you to behave. The croissant was the star... fresh, flaky, light, buttery... exactly what you want. The egg was cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted into it almost like a mini omelette (loved that). My only hiccup was the "bacon." It leaned more limp pork belly than crispy bacon and had a distinct smoke flavor that wasn't the traditional hardwood/hickory vibe I'm used to. Also... because the cheese and egg are fused together, it's basically impossible to pick the bacon out once it's in there. Next time I'd order it without bacon or ask for it on the side and make it crispy. It came with a side salad, which is not what I expected with breakfast, but it was actually great, fresh spring mix and a delicious dressing with a subtle sweet undertone. There were also hash browns with a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior, exactly the texture you hope for I just wish there were more of them! Because I have no self-control around French cafes, I also ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and tasty, more tender/soft than crispy, and I ended up preferring it to the 'scrape the roof of your mouth' style that most restaurants serve up. The whipped cream tasted freshly whipped and the fruit selection was generous. My only critique: I'd skip the granulated sugar on top. The waffle is sweet enough already, and biting into sugar crystals isn't my favorite texture. For a drink I tried the blueberry lavender matcha. It had crushed blueberries in it, but the matcha flavor was pretty mild and the lavender got lost. I also would've liked a touch more sweetness from the syrup but overall it drank a bit "soft" and subtle. Bottom line... really cool little spot with friendly service, quick food, and a pastry case that will absolutely ruin any plan you had to "just eat light." I'll be back but next time I'm customizing that croissant sandwich and letting the pastries talk me into bad decisions.

Cafe Monarch isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience!…read more My husband surprised me with a reservation at Cafe Monarch on February 15 to celebrate both a belated Valentine's Day and my birthday, which was just a few days later. The restaurant kindly called to confirm our reservation along with the special Valentine's prix fixe menu the day before. We arrived early and took advantage of the complimentary valet service. Every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly, and we were seated on their lovely patio. It's easy to see why Cafe Monarch earned the #1 spot on Yelp's Top 10 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S. for 2026. The Valentine's Day tasting menu included: Amuse bouche: oyster and pink peppercorn tuna crudo First course: roasted cauliflower soup Second course: choice of Argentinian shrimp or pork belly Third course: choice of scallop or venison Fourth course: choice of Chilean sea bass, one of the Monarch signature cuts, New Zealand rack of lamb, or double cut Iberico pork chop Dessert: Dark chocolate heart Wow, it was truly incredible! It was quite chilly on the evening I visited, so I ran inside quickly. Robert took care of me for the evening and was absolutely fantastic. I sat in the back left corner of the restaurant. The interior design was one I couldn't help myself from staring at. There were many lit candles, gorgeous embellishments, huge architectural columns, and it was clear that the elegance of the entrance continued into the interior. I decided to order from the four course menu. I got a small gift from the chef to start, a small appetizer. Much appreciated! For my first course, I ordered the spring pea creme brulee which consisted of black truffle, sweetbreads, almond and leeks. There was also a component of salmon to this first course. I, however, am not fond of fish, but it didn't taste fishy at all. Robert convinced me of the same. It was truly creamy and delicious. It had the crunchy component of the crème brulee dessert without being a dessert. For the second course, I chose the pork belly which consisted of cippolini onion, ham, chorizo, soubise, currant and rye. It was AMAZING! For my third course I ordered the scallop, which was absolutely fantastic. Cooked to perfection. For my fourth course, I got the lamb chops cooked medium. It was quite a large portion, but I managed to finish my plate because that's how absolutely delicious it was! Melt in your mouth amazing. For dessert, I ordered the Black Forest cake. It was so decadent. I loved the cherry addition. I ate every single morsel of every portion of this meal. Robert was extremely accomodating, kind and hardworking. I want to thank him for including my grapefruit mocktail on the house. I had such a great time at Cafe Monarch. Truly such an elegant and elevated dining experience. I recommend this spot to all!

It was good. FYI no liquor - beer and wine only. Good beer selection. The waiters were good but the hostess was fairly rude, making a big deal about the size of our group and referencing how we were going to disturb other guests by staff having to re-arrange tables or make guests feel rushed to leave by us waiting. That alone was a turn-off to make us not want to return. We were on the patio and the weather was nice. Not much indoor seating, so I wonder how they stay busy in the summer. I wouldn't want to return in the summer and have to eat outside in the hot months.

We sat the room with the flower wall/ceiling and it was beautiful and fun. But the rest of the place seemed old, run down, sticky. The floors were old and scratched up. The restrooms were located outside and while I did enjoy the decor inside them, they seemed old and not well cleaned. The outside area also had a sewage smell to it. I did like that they offered a decent list of mocktails and I decided to try the tropical fauxjito. It was pretty good. They offer daily deals and Tuesdays deal was half off cocktails. My friend enjoyed what she ordered. We were both excited to try the infamous pink pasta which you could order with a house salad. I decided to add chicken to the pasta. The salad was ok. The pink pasta was fun, and pretty good! The chicken I added to it was also just ok. Portions here are definitely on the smaller side. Overall, it was just an ok, overpriced experience. I might come back for brunch, and they did have a baklava latte on the menu that sounded delicious.

We had food that looked nothing like the food online and realized quickly their images were AI. The service was also so bad even our servers were telling us where to go eat after our meal. Would not recommend this place and wouldn't come back

I don't believe the server knew how to handle the less than formal style of the group I was with, but they did not turn us away and provided phenomenal service. The drinks had elegant garnish, and were well made. The most complicated might have been a vodka soda, but the additional touch was nice. For a start we ordered the oysters, which was kept everyone stuck between being nice and fair, and wanting to take all for themselves. We also ordered the octupus which was very good. For my main, I had the salmom rillete. Well made and pesented - I only thought to take pictures after I ate. Our group was never rushed for the bill and we enjoyed a beautiful evening sitting on their porch. I am looking forward to going back more "prepared" and enjoying their seabass or beef bourguignon.

I even chose to spend Mother's Day here this year because it has always been one of my favorite local spots. Over the years, we've brought our small 12-pound bichon on several occasions and comfortably dined on the patio without issue. Unfortunately, during today's visit, we were told that animals are no longer allowed on the patio and were instead directed to sit on the metal benches in front of the restaurant ...benches that had no table space and clearly were not set up for dining. What made the experience disappointing wasn't necessarily the policy itself, but the way it was handled. As longtime patrons who have supported this restaurant regularly for years to be on a regular basis with staff, the interaction felt dismissive and honestly a little offensive. It was surprising to feel so unwelcome at a place we've consistently supported and recommended to others. I still value this restaurant and appreciate the many good experiences we've had here over the years, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. I hope management takes customer loyalty and consistency of service more seriously moving forward.
