    Lobster mashed potatoes
    Natalie B.

I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate finishing my first year of dental school. We had an absolute AMAZING experience. We were seated outside right before sunset. The curtains were closed but right before sunset they came out and opened the curtains for us to see the amazing view. Our server was such a sweetheart and helpful with directing us to food and wine. The Portuguese stew was so delicious! The flavors were amazing together and it was nice to add cilantro and spice to it on our own. The rice was very tasty with it too. The swordfish skewer was cooked to PERFECTION! I was soooo amazed at how delicious the food was here! The sauce with it made it very flavorful! I was a bit hesitant with the lobster mashed potatoes but oh my it's a must have!! We also started off with steamed clams and a bottle of wine for their wine night! We finished our meal off with the pear cake and it was perfectly baked! This is hands down the best restaurant I've been to in Arizona! The service, ambiance, and food were all amazing!! I can't wait to come back and bring my friends! Thank you for an amazing night!

We have been there many times between the first time, but this time might be our last time. Zander was our waiter and was fabulous. I love the changes of the remodel. It's absolutely beautiful inside. The food didn't lead up to our expectations. We've been here many times before but when you experience one out of seven things was really good. The rest of it for what they charged, the amount for the money, the taste, the quality was very subpar. Our tab was over 300 before tip! The experience was not worth the money! So sad. I just CAN'T recommend it.

Great ambiance and outdoor patio. We shared a few small plates and the paella. The cocktails were amazing! Next time I would opt for more apps.

Really pretty restaurant, friendly staff, interesting menu. LOVE their huge selection of tinned fish. Your choice served with a few slices of bread, pickled nibbles, butter and two kinds of salt (yum). Order with a glass of cava (on HH) and you have the perfect girl dinner. They serve a few n/a options which is appreciated. We also tried the dip trio. Bread was tasty, and comes with more salty butter, but I wasn't a big fan of the dips- creamy and good for spreading, but not super flavorful. Roasted beets and burrata is big enough for a few to share. Pasta paperonata [sic] is served hot in a pretty bowl. All of the portions are large and good for sharing. Lots of other tasty sounding things on the menu. Nice place if you live in the neighborhood but didn't love it enough to drive all the way there again.

I really do enjoy Pescada so much. My true rating is a 4.5 so I rounded up to 5. There's aspects of it that are well beyond a 5 but it's not perfect. I really enjoy myself every time we come here. Sitting on the patio is nice and quiet. The vibe is chill and relaxing. I'm fond of the menu. There's always a variety of things to try and I like that because I get so tired of the usual Scottsdale steak and potato scene. The service is always quite good and I personally enjoy the nice touches like the Mediterranean vibes on the table settings and atmosphere. Cocktails were probably the best part of the experience. The Bar never disappoints. I tried both the Rose cocktail and the Sicilian one (base was a fig vodka with blood orange ginger beer). Both were nice but Sicialian was definitely better. I was expecting more of a rose flavor from the Rose drink but it was heavy on lemon. My husband enjoyed Golden hour cocktail. For dinner, we started with oysters. I believe their oyster selection and service is the best in the area (and better than the places that have Oyster in their name). However We ordered the Thai chili mignonette as an extra accoutrement. It arrived frozen (not ok) and was not spicy at all. Total disappointment bc it sounds good on the menu. We also were upcharged for the tablespoon of horseradish which was a little disappointing. I assumed it would come with the 8 oysters we ordered and not something we even care that much to have. But the oysters themselves were divine and the regular mignonette was quite good. For another starter, we ordered frito Misto which was a calamari appetizer with cauliflower and other items. The server told us in advance that it was heavily fried (I asked when we were ordering) and she was right. It was way too breaded and fried for me (and in my opinion for a restaurant of this type) but my husband liked it. I normally order a salad as a starter and I wish I just did that because I generally enjoy their salads. And eating heavy bar-type food before dinner is not my thing. For dinner I had the branzino which was very good. My husband enjoyed his swordfish (breaded). We were too stuffed for dessert and nothing was wowing us on the dessert menu. Overall a nice evening, made most pleasant by the cocktails and oysters. Next time I would like to try a more tapas style dinner. I also saw they were offering canned fish and that also peaked my interest! Will be back

Beautiful new oyster bar located inside of Pescada. This new addition is called Sheila's Oyster Bar. Beautiful aesthetics, great music selection, fresh quality seafood with stunning presentation. I enjoyed our visit and we explored quite a bit of options. Oysters are a must, the scallop main course was a hit and the sea bass was phenomenal.

Had a dinner reservation here last weekend, and I was so excited to try it out! Started off not the best. We were seated at a table in the corner directly by the kitchen entrance, where service staff is constantly walking in and out. They did accommodate and move us to a different table. Once seated at our new table, it took our server quite a while to greet us. But once she did, her service was friendly & attentive. We ordered a lot of drinks and food, highlights were definitely the Odyssey and carajillo cocktails, the swordfish, paella, and lamb skewers. The lamb especially.. it was so good, I'm still thinking about it. My boyfriend's short rib pasta was a little disappointing, so I'd stick to their seafood entrees (and the lamb of course). This place is definitely pricey, but the quality of the food made it worthwhile. I will say, table maintenance could be improved. We sat with a table full of dirty plates, from our appetizers, for about 20-30mins. When we asked the server to take them, she said a busser would come by. I'm in the industry so I'm being a bit picky, but I don't see why she couldn't do it herself when we saw other servers prebussing their tables. Overall a good experience, just a little room for improvement in the service aspect!

We went for a date night! What a great romantic spot. Nice Mediterranean style menu with lots of seafood. We shared the mussels and oysters, then had the Spanish charred octopus and the sea bass. We also had fun cocktails. Loved their actual dishes and plates. Super excited to check it out after the expansion is done this fall! Can't wait for the new oyster bar and more patio space. It looks like they will be updating their menu and their tapas menu as well. Aperitivo hour here we come!

First time visitor over the weekend and I can say I was pretty pleased. First off, the decor and entire ambiance is incredible. The look and feel of the place carried me outside of Arizona; I could definitely imagine myself in the Mediterranean! I made a reservation but decided to go early. As it was restaurant week, I wasn't able to be seated anywhere but the bar so I decided to try out what they tell me was a new expansion (the bar tot the right). We both ordered off the restaurant week menu. It was pretty delicious but I was very shocked that none of the servers/waitstaff had even tried out the menu. I asked for recommendations and they mentioned they hadn't tried anything themselves. I would think the owners/management would want their staff tasting everything so they could provide non biased recommendations. Otherwise, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff, and the food!

Sheila, you did it again! I was blown away by my first visit to Pescada, a most charming coastal Mediterranean restaurant with a very creative and delectable and fun menu that underwent a very extensive and lovely renovation and expansion ! The staff is so welcoming and professional and the patio is delightful and dog friendly. Thank you Jarrot , Cole and Trey for being so kind and pleasant. The menus are stunning look at and offer something for everyone at approachable price points plus Delectable appetizers, and expertly crafted drinks. I chose a Mojito and Duck confit agnolotti as my entree and they were both exquisite. Their tin fish menu is particularly impressive along with the cocktail and wine list. Altogether a superb addition to Dc ranch marketplace. I look forward to returning very soon!

They've recently redone the spot so my mom and I had to come back for a visit with their new decor and menu. Went with the salmon and a mocktail and they were both delicious. The waiter was super friendly and helpful and managed to pick out a wine for my mom that she really enjoyed. Great ambiance, they did a great job with the updates and I'm sure we'll be back

We actually came here on two consecutive nights. The first was Thursday and we sat at the bar on the patio and were served by the super friendly bartender Jordan, then Friday night with friends. The cocktails that are on the happy hour menu are not very good. They are gin-based drinks using tonic waters that are so aromatic and floral that you can't finish one. Luckily Jordan saved the day and made me a much more well-balanced and less floral tasting drink. We enjoyed the different take on bacon wrapped dates these were almond and Cambozola cheese stuffed sitting on orange marmalade. The mini grilled cheese were not browned they just seemed like hard pieces of a narrow baguette with more cheese in them. They were tasty although too greasy. The "salmon" deviled eggs really didn't taste like salmon, yet they were light and still flavorful. There were some large salmon roe eggs on the top and maybe that's what they meant by salmon. The house made squid ink pasta with shrimp was very flavorful although overpriced for just a few shrimp in a small bowl. The octopus was seriously underwhelming. One single grilled tentacle on a bitter, unbalanced green sauce with 3 tablespoons of a diced potato, onion and olive mixture. It didn't eat well together and we don't recommend it. The crabcake with shaved fennel was good however we've had crabcakes with less of a homogenous texture. It seemed like the crab had been really over mixed and it didn't look like lump crab. The flavor was good although the shaved fennel was a little boring not having been dressed with anything. The summer cappeletti with mini pattypan squash and sautéed mushrooms was light with good flavor. The halibut was watery, somewhat mushy and lacking flavor and was not up to par for a restaurant that has fish in its name! The steak tartare was not a good choice. My bad for ordering that! The egg yolk was too large for the amount of meat and the texture of the beef was disappointing - there was some connective tissue and really chewy pieces. It needed cornichons and more flavor in the meat itself. The crunchy pieces of bread served with it were very tasty. The ciabatta was too oily however the salt on the top was tasty, and the whipped crab was a light change of pace to butter. The hazelnut gelato was perfect in flavor and texture - not too soft. The chocolate mousse, was sinfully smooth and light. To match the price and upscale ambiance the savory food needs to be better. Based on only getting two of the sweet dishes the dessert offerings seem solid... Will we return? Not sure based on hearing that they are closing for four months to redo the interior space and make it much larger. Hopefully they keep the same ambiance and the savory food gets better.

    Shrimp and scallops tempura

Great restaurant with friendly staff in a very nice plaza. We enjoyed the delicious food on their beautiful patio. We started with oysters and they were great. As appetizer we had the seafood medley with shrimp, calamari , zucchini and broccoli. Not quite a fan of the heavy tempura batter. I thought it was a bit excessive . The dipping sauce however was finger looking good. Their Greek salad was quite nice with a unique presentation. We had the halibut and the sea bass and both were delicious. The portions are quite big. Overall we will definitely go back.

The Living Room at DC Ranch is such a comfortable, casual place for Happy Hour, dinner, wine and…read moredrinks. The name really fits because there are several different seating areas, including cozy groupings with soft couches and chairs, traditional dining tables, bar seating and an outdoor patio. There is also a separate larger room that looked great for groups. It's nice enough for a fun night out or date night, but the overall feel is relaxed and casual, so you definitely don't need to dress up. We went for a girls' Happy Hour, specifically because the Wine Wall sounded like so much fun, but one of the things I really liked about The Living Room is that you absolutely don't have to be a wine drinker to enjoy it. They also have a reasonable, well rounded menu and signature drinks. Happy Hour is weekdays from 3-6 PM. The menu offers $2 off wines by the glass, draft beers, signature and well cocktails, as well as the bruschetta and flatbreads. So one person could come for wine and bruschetta, and someone else could enjoy a beer with flatbread, or have something from the regular menu. There are salads, soups, sandwiches, sushi rolls, food from the grillI, and starters. We first shared the Artichoke Spinach Dip. I feel like the dip is a portion for one, as you can see in my photo; it's in a small ramekin, but the chips are fantastic and sharable. I had the "fried rice with steak, chicken and shrimp topped with a fried egg." The "steak" was tiny little pieces, not slices, but the portion of fried rice was very generous and filling. It's a "Starter" that was a "meal" for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the food prices are. Now for the Wine Wall, because this is such a fun part of the experience! You're given a Tasting Card that works somewhat like a debit card for the Wine Wall. You tap the card at the WineStation, choose the wine you want and then select a 1 oz, 3 oz or 6 oz pour. Each wine and pour size has its own price, and every selection is added to your Tasting Card. At the end, the accumulated amount is transferred to your restaurant check as one "Wine Wall" charge. Our server was wonderful about showing us how everything worked. He walked us over to the Wine Wall, explained the system and dispensed our first glasses for us. Later, when he asked if we wanted more, my friend ordered another 3 oz Silver Oak and he brought it right to our table, so we didn't even have to get up again. If the Wine Wall is one of the main reasons for your visit, there are couches and tables right by it. You might want to choose that area if you plan on trying 1 oz. tastes of several wines. We enjoyed two excellent Cabernets from the Wine Wall: Caymus and Silver Oak. I had a 3 oz Caymus, a 3 oz Silver Oak, and my friend had a 6 oz Caymus and 3 oz Silver Oak. Our total Wine Wall charge was $83. We're already looking forward to returning for what will feel like a different experience by having white wine and sushi outdoors on a cool evening. I could definitely see The Living Room becoming an easy choice for a casual Happy Hour or dinner with friends.

The inside is pretty cool and unique but service could've definitely been better though. *There's a $10 cover fee per person when there is live music*

It is located on the trendy Market Street in DC Ranch, and has been a few places over the years my buddy who lives in the neighborhood told me. We stopped in to grab a bite and watch the NBA and NHL playoffs during the day around late lunch and things were pretty quiet. The space is really beautiful and has quite a bit of potential, however, due to where it is, and it's tax bracket this place has an older established crowd. If you're looking for a little more of a younger atmosphere downtown Scottsdale probably where you'll find it - not in DC Ranch lol. We had shrimp ceviche, and I tried fried hot buffalo wings, (which I had to being a born in Buffalo guy). I was actually incredibly surprised. The buffalo sauce was excellent for Arizona however, I asked for extra crispy and they were not kind of a big deal to me! I was able to get blue cheese with my wings, which is a Buffalo staple. also a note, the wings at this bar were better than most I could find in South Florida any day of the week. For lunch, we both had burgers I had a bacon, blue burger, and my buddy had a California burger. With sweet potato fries as a side. The burgers were on point! I was pretty hungry and this burger delivered as well as the wings. our service was OK, we were sitting at the bar, but not drinking... only iced tea. For dessert, my buddy ordered a cookie skillet, which is fresh made &!comes with ice cream. It was excellent! overall a great little spot great bar food and good TVs for watching the sports playoffs.

There is parking on the street or in the lot. We weren't familiar with the area so it was a bit tricky to find. It is located in the back of a coffee shop. The concept of going through the phone booth is fun. The space inside was quaint and intimate. They have a regular menu and then had a special Valentine's Day menu. I got a nice fruity cocktail that was sweet. I enjoyed it. Everything was reasonably priced. All of our drinks were pretty glittery, it made everything really pretty. My friend got a free glass of prosecco for her birthday which was nice. A good speakeasy to visit. Menu has good variety. Service was great, they ran through the menu with us and was attentive.

You walk behind a door with a pay phone and enter a room with plush velvet couches and chairs, a beautiful bar, and great ambiance. Servers and bartenders are fantastic! So why not 5 stars?! When we entered the cafe, the guy working kinda gave us a hard time. Who are you? Do you have a reservation? At what time? And then he said have a seat over there. So we did just that. And then 20 minutes passed our reservation time, still no one came over. We said something to one of the young ladies working, and she took us back. We asked her if the guy even said anything that we were there, and she said no. Other people were just walking in and out, but we were told we had to wait. Who knows, maybe he just forgot. Not sure how, but whatever, we still had fun.

It has an English feel about it. Staff are very nice and welcoming. I decided to try one of their homemade blueberry muffins. The muffin had a streusel top. The inside was soft, moist and full of blueberries. We might have a new contender for best muffin around. Guess I will have to try it again to determine the winner. LOL! I helped myself to one of the containers of lemon water. Tap water is also available. I sat in the nice plaza full of pomegranate trees. It was a bit warm as the fan missed where I sat. I would definitely return and try something else. Their pastries looked very tempting. Shared parking lot.

You walk up and order, get a number, grab a table, and they bring you everything. The coffee drinks are amazing. The lavender honey latte, the cookie butter cold brew, and the red velvet latte are downright addicting. The veggie wrap is awesome, as are the scones with brie. The butternut squash omelet is also a favorite. I don't know if they make their sourdough bread there, but I've never had better. We grabbed some pastries to go this time as well, so I can't wait to try them. It gets busy but they really hustle to keep everyone happy.

It tries to be those things and fails in all. The layout: It's a long narrow room. The stage is on the smaller far end. The tables are arranged going back along the long direction. If you're sitting more than halfway back you'll be disappointed in the seating. In the back are high-top tables which are very small. The "bar" is along the long wall. The "restaurant" is catered food ( I don't think the venue has a kitchen). It's arranged buffet style on portable tables in the lobby. You go in a line and chose your dinner and they hand it to you in a plastic to-go container. You eat at your table and then bus your leftovers and trash to the trash can. There is no wait service. Just like eating at a fast food restaurant. If your sitting at a small high-top table there's not enough room for more than two people to eat. You'll be seated with strangers and they'll be right in your face as you eat. The "bar" only has beer and wine for alcohol. Or you could get a canned mixed drink. Stand in line and wait your turn at the end of the bar. The bar seats are reserved for the show. Remember no wait service. So if you want a drink during the show you have to go to the bar. Music was not Jazz. Very slow, boring folk. The crowd was 70+ year olds. And they charge for this experience? Won't be going back.
