Wow! Wow! Wow! I took my husband here for his birthday and it was simply amazing! Last year, we went to their sister restaurant in DC for his birthday, and thoroughly enjoyed it, so when we discovered there was one here in the valley, we were over the moon! We started off with a few cocktails; I had a Cosmo and my hubby had their twist on a Smokey Manhattan! My drink was fabulous and my husband absolutely loved his drink! For appetizers we had lobster bisque and a crab cake. My lobster bisque was outstanding. My hubby enjoyed his crab cake...that's really saying something because he's from DC, so he knows crab cakes! I had the twin lobster tails and jalapeño au gratin potatoes and the hubby had the lamb chops with Asparagus with hollandaise sauce! All of these were phenomenal! And for dessert we were given the warm butter cake and the 10 layer carrot cake! There aren't enough adjectives to describe these two desserts! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this experience! The services was fabulous and the food was delicious! I highly recommend Ocean Prime!

I just expended $500 included my tip in cash, our bill was $411.85 For a dinner that was just OK, the Chilean Sea Bass was a little overcooked, and the steak was OK. The waiter served a glass of wine after a sample of a different wine ($25 glass) in the same glass. We just looked and didn't say anything... Then, before we left at 9.00 pm, someone started turning the lights on in front of us. That was our anniversary dinner. Not going back, service is low, overrated, and overpriced.

We had dinner, celebrating my wife's birthday, and the first Sunday of the Phoenix (Waste Management) Open week, and the place was packed with folks with name tags and sports coats or dresses, and lots of energy. While I am guessing it was louder than usual, the entire experience was great. Pricey, but great. From the front desk on, service was great and everyone wished my wife a happy birthday. We sat on the bar's patio, which had nice electric heaters that kept us comfortable as the evening chill set it. We started with the tuna tartar. It was elegantly plated, with a LOT of large chunks of very fresh and tasty tuna, with a spicy avocado layer (wasabi?) and a nice crunchy layer. For my entree, I had the lobster linguini and my wife had the shellfish cob salad with French onion soup. All three plates were fantastic. The salad had more lobster and shrimp than expected, the linguini had WAY more lobster than I expected, and the soup had a wonderfully deep flavor (yes, my wife let me taste it). Each dish was delicious and attractive. For desert, my wife ordered the chocolate torte and we both had coffee. The coffee was served in a French press, one for each of us, and was nice and rich, how we like it. The torte was ridiculously dense and rich -- in a completely good way.

The peanut butter pie- amazing chocolate sauce! Needed a 2nd whip cream dollop! We loved this desert

Amazing experience for us tonite at Ocean Prime. We both choice sea bass! And the lobster tails. The lobster was perfect and we enjoyed it so much. The candle heated butter to dip in was a delicious choice and such a nice accompaniment. I added a little butter to my sea bass. The sea bass was cooked so perfect and very melt in your mouth. It came w lovely broccolini and some whipped potatoes. Also perfectly grilled. I remember some lovely asparagus somewhere, I believe w the lobsters and that was cooked great, blanched perhaps w the right amount of crunch My date was so sweet and let us get 2 deserts, a whipped peanut butter pie covered in a delicious chocolate sauce. And the famous butter cake with a raspberry coulis sauce. Both completely enjoyable and delicious! Our dinner was beautiful and so delicious. I also had a white wine and chose Spain. Albeno Torres, I believe it was! It was a perfect and delicious wine. The hostess team was lovely for us as was all of our server staff. A welcoming and charming group of people work there. It was a 50 out of 10 for me!

We had an amazing time at ocean prime! We used to come here quite regularly a few years ago, but it's been awhile and we decided to celebrate Valentine's Day here and it was very special. We had a beautiful booth, and I had one of the best espresso martinis here. The Hamachi carpaccio was delicious too for an appetizer, as well as the warm bread basket. It was my first time trying Chilean sea bass here and it was wonderful. We also got the truffle Mac & cheese which was super flavorful and perfect to split, as well as the smoked Gouda tater tots which were really unique and crispy. The inside is beautiful and the food is high quality and they always have great service here as well.

We were excited to see Ocean Prime on the Arizona Restaurant Week list, so we decided to give it a try for date night. The restaurant is huge and has a really fancy vibe. We were seated in one of the smaller rooms, which felt a little cozier. Our server was fine, friendly enough, but nothing memorable. They offer both the Restaurant Week menu and the regular menu, so we decided to sample a bit of both. From the Restaurant Week menu, which is $55 per person, we had the house salad, an 8oz filet with Oscar style, and the Blackened Snapper. My husband thought the filet was way too salty, and you have to pay extra for both the steak and the Oscar style. The snapper was overcooked and dry, which was disappointing. Dessert was strawberry ice cream with an almond cookie, which was simple but nice. One thing to note, if you order from the Restaurant Week menu, they don't bring bread, but we weren't too worried about that. For drinks, we had a Bacardi rum and a non-alcoholic Blackberry Club. From the regular menu, we ordered the Seafood Tower with jumbo shrimp cocktail and a mix of East and West Coast oysters, along with Prime Steak Tartare and Onion Soup. We ended up spending more on the regular menu than the Restaurant Week menu. We love to try new restaurants for our date nights, but this visit was just okay. The restaurant itself is beautiful and most of the food was ok, but nothing really stood out. It's probably not a place we'll return to, but we're glad we tried it once.

Had the 3-course early dinner there recently with my wife. The food was generally delicious, but my wire didn't enjoy the scallops. Overall, service and the restaurant ambience are fantastic. My filet was delicious and the accompanying foods were good, including lobster bisque.

Perfect venue for my wife's birthday tonight! We've come many times and tonight was the best!

Best HH in town. Tried the tuna tartare today which was fantastic. Prime roll is always a hit. You can make a reservation for happy hour! Book a high top seating table.

We have been here before for happy hour. It is quite expensive but HH has some good deals. This time we came for a birthday dinner. This is a very classy restaurant with nice ambience. The food was good and service were great. The ocean sushi roll, king crab legs, lobster linguine, Chilean sea bass were all delicious! And the chocolate peanut butter pie was one of the best desserts we've ever had. Our only complaint was that my husband asked them not to char the steak, but it still came out charred. Our server took care of that immediately. I also wish they would give a complimentary bread basket given how much you spend on dinner here. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable night.

This upscale restaurant has a fabulous and affordable happy hour. We enjoyed Manhattan's and calamari. We have never had Manhattans as good as Ocean Prime Manhattan's. The calamari was prepared in an unusual way. It was fried and covered with sauce and green onions. Delicious! They brought us some complimentary out of the ordinary pop corn, too. The service was impeccable. If we lived in Phoenix, we'd go to happy hour there everyday.

Food and service were top notch. Lobster not really to my liking but delicious as was the steak. Lobster bisque also good.

Small on the inside, but had a classy but casual feel. Since we did the murder mystery there was also a preset menu which was cool. The food was okay, but will be returning back for the drinks more than the food. The murder mystery game was a nice way to get everyone in the bar involved. Essential a real like clue or who done it game. Very interesting but also can be a bit distracting if your goal was to come out and have some drinks and peace out at your leisure. While it is a very cool idea, I feel that more customers would be able to come and go on these days and not be turned out because a reservation was not made. All in all, will return on another night to try more drinks

To me a $30 cheese plate would not come with a container of honey mustard so I was not impressed. When I asked what cheeses were on it they told me there was 2 different cheddars. There was no way it was a cheddar it was a very soft cheese. I believe it was a goat cheese. The almonds were probably the best part of the whole platter. My husband got wings, which were very big. He enjoyed those and the sauce, and my other daughter got meatballs, which she enjoyed, but thought they were a little spicy, I find that usually when kids order things that are spicy servers will say just so you know that has a little bit of heat to it to which the waitress did not again, I don't think she was very knowledgeable on the menu in general . Some of our group ordered discounted drinks, and between the 9 of us, we got a solid assortment of items, ranging from mai tais and longboards to potstickers and loco moco, and even a teriyaki chicken kids meal. Understandably, the food took a bit with our party size, but everything was coordinated came out pretty much at the same time. The loco moco was definitely a group favorite (good burger patty) while the mac salad was probably our least favorite component (lacking in salt and flavor). To zhush up my loco moco a bit, I asked our server for some hot sauce, and was brought their Madagascar hot sauce. Woooo-wee that was hot! I've passed by Blue Martini many of times. It always seems to be the most hype spot on High Street, a nice entertainment district in Desert Ridge. I finally took the plunge and checked it out on a Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. Parking is easy (and free) on the street, in the surface lots, or the garage on High Street. Ambiance (3.5/5): Blue Martini is definitely a bit bougie and caters to that audience. There's a nice outdoor patio which is where we sat since the weather was beautiful. There's a bar outside and waiter service. I briefly looked inside and there's a bar inside too, lounge sitting, and a dance floor. Blue Martini often has live music or a DJ. Definitely a spot where you can break it down on the dance floor. There's bottle service too if that's your thing. Service (2/5): Talk about slow service! It took our waitress longer than it should have for us to greet us. After placing an order for drinks, we received them promptly. After that we didn't see her again for quite a while. I wanted to order a second cocktail and she was nowhere to be found. Eventually she came around and I placed my order. I decided to close out right then and there knowing that it would take a long time to track her down to close out if I didn't do it right then and there. They also charge two fees amounting to 5%. Not sure what that's all about. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I just had drinks since I was there pretty late. I view Blue Martini as more of a drinks spot, but I can't comment on the food. They have a daily happy hour with discounts on select food items. Drinks (3.5/5): If the name isn't a dead giveaway, Blue Martini specializes in martinis. Beyond martinis, they have a large cocktail list. Plus everything else you'd find with a full bar. The drinks are a bit pricey (it is a see and be seen type of spot after all and you're likely to see old geezers pulling up in Lambos and Ferraris), but I liked the selection. I started off with the Blue Martini, their namesake. It's served with a blue glow stick. From there, I had the strawberry basil martini. Both were pretty good. Not speakeasy quality cocktails but better than your average bar for sure. While Blue Martini isn't really my scene, I can have a good time anywhere. If you're looking to turn up and dance, it's a good spot for that. And it's also elite for people watching.

This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. If you still can't decide the friendly bar staff will help you out, there are a lot of options. They do have some things on happy hour. Food wise they have a charcuterie board, grilled cheese sandwiches& potato chips. Menu items from Pigtails are also available at the bar. There is a big bar top area and other indoor table seating, patio is shady during the day. I'd recommend this spot if you're out shopping and need a break or if you just want a cool bar to hang out at. If you like ciders the Black Widow -Original Sin cider is very delicious.

Kinda wanna go back and throw axes with them... It's not just throwing axes. They have a variety of games- tic tac toe was my favorite. I also love that you can upload a pic. Good beer. Didn't they the food. But fun atmosphere. Lots of games outside of throwing. Impossible not to have fun!!

I've been to The Mighty Axe twice. Ambiance (4/5): This is part of what I love about The Mighty Axe. It has a cabin feel to it. Despite being in Phoenix, you feel like you've been transported to the mountains. There's some seating at the bar as well as some comfortable seating close to a fireplace. The barstools at the bar don't have back support (which is always a con in my book). The music tends to be solid. All in all, a cool spot. And a casual one at that. Service (4/5): The service tends to be friendly, laidback, and efficient. Just like I like it. Food (N/A): I've been on a liquid diet both times, and to be honest, I'm not even sure if they have food. Drinks (3.5/5): Everyone likes different flavor profiles when it comes to cocktails. The Mighty Axe has a solid list, though one that is not super appealing to my taste. Outside of their cocktail list, they have a full bar. The Mighty Axe, if the name didn't give it away, is both a bar and an axe throwing place. While I haven't done any axe throwing, I've checked out the area where it's located (the back of the bar). And there's even one outside on the small patio. Overall, one of my favorite bars on High Street (I live in Desert Ridge so I've frequented pretty much everywhere in the area).

Since I was by myself, I was able to be seated at the bar. The vibe here is incredible! It's beautifully decorated and nice and cozy. Perfect for a date night. I must bring my husband back here at some point. As I said, I sat at the bar and Megan the bartender was outstanding! I ordered a drink called Agree to Disagree. I think that was the name. Anyway, it was delicious and because it was happy hour it was half off the regular price of $23. I ordered one oyster and it was fabulous. I only ordered one because I was meeting a group of friends at The Guest House in 30 minutes and I did not want to spoil my appetite. I can't wait to come back here so that I can enjoy the full experience with the band. It's a lovely place and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

We made our way down the stairs and the hostess was there ready to check us in. We didn't wait at all and got seated right away. Once seated it took a while for the server to come take our order. There was live music going on which kept us entertained for the time being. After about 15 minutes, she finally came over to greet us and take our drink orders. We ordered: 1 WILD STRAWBABY - Ocho Blanco Tequila, Bergamot, Strawberry, Pineapple, Lemon, Almond Milk $22 1 50 FIRST DATES - Bumbu Rum, Cascara, Brown Sugar Date Syrup, Coconut Milk, Cinnamon Sprinkle $22 1 BLUEBERRY MULE - Blueberry, Lime, Ginger Beer $13 The drinks didn't take too long and another bartender dropped them off. Water was never offered to us and was only given to us after we asked. All the other tables were given water once they were seated. Our drinks were good but we chose to just have one each and we left. The live music was great. The musician was playing the piano and kept it fun and upbeat. The inside is pretty cool and unique but service could've definitely been better though. *There's a $10 cover fee per person when there is live music*
