    Happy Hour

Awesome Happy Hour and not packed at Friday around 4p. They have tons of specials and lots of mystery items if you're willing to take a risk! The bartenders were so friendly and it's a super chill vibe inside. Music playing, random shows playing on TV, and all kinds of fun games available to play! They have Touch Tunes as well so you can request your favorite songs if you'd like!! I ordered the brown bag special beer and it was a super refreshing kolsch! My husband did the same and got the Sonoran White Chocolate Ale! $4 per can and what a deal!!

What a fantastic hidden gem at Desert Ridge--The Whining Pig. Tucked away behind a discreet entrance, you head down some stairs, turn right, and walk through a door--then wow! You're greeted by a stunning wall of greenery, making you feel like you're stepping into a lush forest. The drinks are equally impressive; we enjoyed a few with a smoky flair, and I'm already craving another.

I've always been a big fan of "The Whining Pig" establishment, but this location is by far the most comfortable with great service. I'm a mother of two toddlers, and the entry area is so welcoming and probably one of the few places I can just enjoy a beer with my whole family without stressing about my kids running around or bothering anyone. They love the chalk wall, the bathroom is clean, and the staff is very kind and understanding. As a parent of young kids, you want more than anything to get out, but it's almost more stressful getting out than just staying home and keep the craving and FOMO stirring. Here, I can get the best of both worlds. It was interesting as there were 3 other families there with you kids/babies when we were there too. Clearly we all have the same thoughts, lol.

The beer selection on tap here is extensive and regularly rotates. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! i go here often after work to hangout with friends or have a couple drinks. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. The chicken quesadilla is BOMB! And i kim the oysters. We had their peanut butter jelly shots. A bit more on the pricey side and sadly they took off the wings from their food menu.

Been here a few times before and never got around to a review until now. Such a fun, quaint place tucked away in a lower level basement style setting and a nice patio area before entering that is all complete with indoor and outdoor games. So many beers on tap to accommodate every kind of taste. Good HH specials and friendly service make this a must visit when at Desert Ridge.

Relaxed place. Great spot to take a break from shopping or to wait for a shot in the Pigtails speakeasy in back. Lots of seating and even some outdoor tables. The chalkboard walls inside and out make it fun and different each time. Husband and I enjoyed hanging at the bar and occasionally playing a game (small games and trivia all over the bar). The bartenders were very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions.

No where in the reviews does it say to go downstairs, across from Dave and Buster's. This is helpful information to have. I was expecting a brewery in terms of making beer in house but this is a tap house. The selection is vast and I love that the selections are color coded as to type of beer. It made it easier for us out of towners to order. I was thrilled to see a few Toppling Goliath beers on tap as well (being from Iowa and all). Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, made us feel right at home. The patrons are of the younger variety so we were a bit above average. Don't get me wrong, it is a refreshing bit of youth that was needed.

Location; Desert Ridge is located downstairs is super cute little inside and outside seating location. This is best place, for beer lovers. Many different flavors for everyones pallette. Food; Probably one of the best grilled cheese sandwich sandwhich, yummy. Also ordered the meat and cheese platter, which also was very tasty. All fresh, and delicious. Service; Order at the bar, bartendar was very friendly and informative.

Horrible service with a RUDE bartender. Too many other excellent bars in Desert Ridge to put up with this kind of attitude.

So I got a Beyond Burger (which is normally $13 alone), fries and a beer. Delicious and a great deal! Only Thursday's at the bar. The Beyond burger was cooked perfectly, served with pickled onion, fresh tomato, lettuce, vegan cheese, and vegan sriracha aioli. Yummy. The fries were fresh and crispy. We also ordered the cauliflower nachos. They were good but had very little sauce on them. We asked for more sauce and the server happily returned with a side of sauce. Excellent service at the register when ordering and excellent service throughout the meal. They have other specials on other nights as well as happy hour deals. This is hands down the best restaurant all around in the area. I did not feel like I was dining in a supermarket. That ambiance was great. Kudos to the bartender for getting it right! For an appetizer, we ordered the crispy artichoke with a lemon aioli. They were tasty and definitely crispy. For dinner, we ordered the Vodka Parmigiana with mozzarella smothered crispy chicken breast served with spaghetti and house vodka sauce. It was very, very good. Crispy chicken and great flavor. For the salad we ordered the Burrata Caprese with balsamic-glazed tomatoes, basil, crostini. I added Prosciutto. It was good but the burrata was more like a mozzarella ball instead of burrata. Our friends ordered the Short Rib Ravioli with shredded short rib, fried leeks, port wine reduction, porcini cream sauce. They said it was delicious. Unfortunately we were having a great conversation and I forgot to snap pics of the actual food. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we all said we would be back.

Let's see what had one server who saw the left over plates (from the appetizers) and until I asked him to pick them up in a polite manner he was to walk away. And he was perturbed. Our server decided on how own to split a salad for us. Then we never saw him or anyone else see if we wanted refills. Started strong then fumbled midway through. The final kicker? He dropped the check and then never saw him. I went up to the hostess area where pick up is located and asked if they could check us out. Despite seeing a POS machine which allows them to do that. They didn't. Excuses included we don't know his code, we can't use a code. The idea of checking someone out when they got to bolt and your decision not to, is bad biz. Here is a simple way to solve this. 1. You have a piece of paper next to that pos which lists the servers that day and their codes. 2.. you then see their name, enter their code and close the check. Or you just use the code you have, and check out the customer. After this we decided we are NEVER coming back.
