Butler's is my favorite bar in Phoenix. It is close by my house and the vibe is so chill. The music is always good and I love all of the staff at Butler's. They always have different nights like trivia, bingo, live music, comedy, karaoke and DJs and then of course their curated wine club night (one time per month). The cocktails are so good here -- so many are my favorite, especially the espresso martini. They also seem to have rotating specials too -- I can't remember what this month's drink is but it has candied ginger in it and it is so good! Butler's has a small menu but the grilled cheese is super yummy. I see they have just added hummus to the menu so definitely need to check that out! You can also bring in outside food. I joined the wine club and every month they have a curated wine tasting and then members get the selected bottles to bring home. The have a little charcurterie table set up too. Wine club members are free and I think it is $20 for non-members. I want more people to come to Butler's because it is such a great neighborhood bar -- so check it out now!!! read more

What an underrated bar! Easily my favorite bar in phoenix. I'm shocked this doesn't have way more hype. If I lived in phoenix, I'd be a regular for sure They opened during Covid and are relatively new but they got all their cocktail drinks on lock. Every drink we've had has been amazing! My favorite is the lavender fog and the mulled wine (which is only available in November) The service is awesome and the bartenders are so chill and down to earth. This bar also has live music on saturdays, trivia's and game nights. In fact, at every table, they have a deck of cards against humanity. At the entrance they also have a variety of other games like connect four, jenga and such. Lavender fog: great balance of lavender and earl grey tea! The foam is the best creamy touch to the drink. I feel in a relaxed daze when I have this drink. I think it's the most special one here. It was even featured on a magazine! Pour favor: I don't like mezcal but this was nice. The mango puree was prominent which I loved and was well complimented with sour and spice. This drink style is a little more commonly found in other bars too which is probably because it's popular! Indoor smoking: smoky, cool and well done twist in the old fashioned. They prepare it in such a cool way with the smoking process and the delivery is great. SMOOTH old fashion. It was alcohol forward but I didn't feel any burn that I normally get from any common old fashion. It also had the best citrus aftertaste The sunny slope sour: great if you love whiskey sour. I loved this drink the pear and peach made the whiskey taste less harsh. One of the better renditions of whiskey sours I've had My brightside. Bitter but works so well with watermelon! Refreshing, balanced and delicious. I typically don't love Negronis but I loved this rendition. The nanny: mezcal espresso martini that was also well done. You can also taste raspberry and chocolate every sip Mulled wine: hot wine with spices that I argue was better than the mulled wines I've had in Europe. All the spices and aromas were so complex yet cozy for a chilly night! The bartenders treat their regulars well and seem to really have a great community here. When we first got here, wasn't sure what to make of it. But after we sat down, checked out the amazing happy hour specials, and began settling in, we started to fall in love. The bartenders are SUPER nice. The happy hour deals are amazing. Sometimes there's a food truck. We got sliders that night and they were so good. Nice, big TVs to watch a game or in this case, find a new Netflix show to binge. Loved that they displayed local artists' works on their walls! Tried out Butler's Easy for the first time on a Wednesday evening after work during their happy hour (everyday until 7p, all day Sunday). Parking is free out front but limited and shared with other businesses. Upon entering, we were met with a relatively small interior and a low-lit, lowkey vibe. Out of all the drinks in their happy hour menu, we were most interested in the $6 sangrias, which they offer red vs white and dry vs sweet. I opted for a red-sweet, my gal pal opted for a red-dry, and we shared a third glass of red-sweet. Although not pictured due to how excited we were to try our drinks, they were served in wine glasses that were pretty full, with lots of ice, and citrus slices infused. We enjoyed our red sangrias, as the sweet one wasn't too sweet and the dry one wasn't too dry. I've never had a sangria before, but it tasted a bit diluted, but my friend loves sangrias and enjoyed her drink so maybe that's how they're supposed to be. Unbeknownst to us, we visited on a trivia night, and by 7:15pm, the place was packed with groups of friends/adult families down to play. The theme of the trivia that night was well-known songs (and the artists who made the songs). My gal pal and I wanted more quiet time to ourselves to chat, so we escaped to the back patio outside with a few tables and outdoor cushioned benches to chat for the rest of our time here. Overall, we enjoyed our time here, especially given the cheap happy hour options. I'm interested in coming back on a weekend to try the Day Drink Club special too (see attached photo). We came on a Monday not knowing it was open mic comedy night. We ordered the meat and cheese tray, which actually was great. The drinks were over the top and were definitely the quality we would expect from a high end cocktail bar downtown. The bartender, Becca, truly was amazing. We came down to Butler's Easy on a Saturday night, and it did not disappoint! They have a really cool Day Drink Club, which is such a fun concept. We tried the margaritas and tequila old fashioneds, and both were on point. We also went with a dealer's choice cocktail, asked for something not sweet, and it was absolutely perfect--exactly what we were hoping for. The vibe is great for cocktails, and the prices are super reasonable. The only food we noticed on the menu was a pretzel, so this is definitely more of a spot for drinks than a full meal. It's It is a super cozy spot. In the middle of a strip mall with really cool people, and really good drinks. Plus amazing happy hours, amazing live music, that it just adds up to a really good time. I really do recommend this spot. I didn't know it existed but I'm glad in a Yelp search. I was able to find it. My friends and I had a fantastic time. And we vowed to be back for some of those drinks. We ended up ordering the bartender's choice. and she did everything possible for us to have the best drink of our dreams so there is nothing to complain about. It's in an unassuming location - so while trades will call it a speakeasy... it's really not. Just a cute cocktail "locals only" bar with some good eats, people and vibes! They have a decent collection of board games for when you're with a group.. likewise some spaces made for one if you want to hang out alone. There's not a lot of seating but they have a nice patio in the back. Decent space for a dance floor in the front. From what I've been told, staff turnover is low, and they're a talented (and kind) bunch! Cocktail specials can change up every so often and for special events -- they had some NYE cocktails for the night. Weekends sound like an absolute blast with their mimosa specials! I have been here many times and I really like it! It's small, quaint and most importantly the bartenders know how to mix great, original drinks. When they have live music, it is always great! This was an odd one at best. I asked for a basic Tito's vodka and cranberry. The bartender said no we don't have it. It was right behind him plain as day.
