    Cloudy fish tank

Local dive bar at its finest. Rum runners has pool table, TouchTunes and strong drinks. I stopped in after some drinks at Butler's Easy and wanted to play pool. It is cut throat pool at this spot, don't play if you just want to have fun. Fish tank was very scary and when my friend wanted to add some fresh water the bartender said no. Service was good but not overly friendly. Had a nice neighborhood vibe.

A true neighborhood dive bar where all friendly people are welcome! Great bartenders who pour a strong (and cheap) drink! $3.50-$4 for a domestic draft and $4-$5 for most cocktails. A few TV's, a pool table, and regulation sized shuffle board at your disposal. There's always free snacks available (pretzels, pork rinds, Che mix, popcorn, etc) and the crowd is always friendly to newbies... But you will become a regular in no time. They have more draft beer in the back so look up at the handles up top to see their full supply! ONLY complaint I have is I wish they had Dos Equis lager on draft. I don't want a bottle! I can get that at home! They have NO Mexican light beers on draft sadly. But Rum Runners is now my go to bar! ALL are welcome here (POC and LGBTQ too) so if that's not your thing, don't come!

This place has potential to be soo fun!! my best friend and I went on the night of Thanksgiving so it probably wasn't as lively as it would be on a weekend. I found it pretty awesome that the owner leaves some snacks like Chex mix, popcorn, other things like that for the customers! I read a comment about the margaritas being really good so we tried some, and the server made me a DIY peanut butter whiskey drink, which was delicious. I would have love to play some dart here, and not sure if the jukebox was working or not because we put a song in, but it never played. I would definitely come back again.

I usually prefer heavy cheese on my pizza but their was just right. I tried the Son of a B*t@# I'm In cocktail that is on happy hour for $10. The simple yet clean ingredients caught my eye...gin, aperol, elderflower, lime l, and honey made for a very refreshing drink. Kind of underwhelming lol, but it did the job of attracting my party of 3 to the bar. I tried the Sweet Cheeks, which was sweet and unique and refreshingly light. The next time I stopped by was the very next day 8/23/25 for their Super Smash Bros tournament of up to 32 players, $10 buy-in, and cash prize (and other prizes for 2nd and 3rd place). There was 1 set-up with a large projector and 2 MC's. This was my first Smash tournament, but I didn't get to stay long due to work the next day, and I didn't purchase a drink. The event was very lively and crowded, and I wished I stayed longer! Will be back to participate/spectate another tournament. Overall lively dive bar that can provide a fun but chill night out! I'm also looking forward to taking advantage of their Monday-Friday 2-6p HAPPY HOUR if I have the chance.

Just as a side note, the parking lot was a bit sketchy -- I arrived around 730pm on a Monday so it wasn't very late -- There is a weird split in the parking lot one side is the Aldi side (which seemed more populated with people going in and out of the store) and the other side is a bunch of shops that were closed . There were some interesting people chilling out in their cars and yelling to each other when I came out - I was by myself and felt a little sketched by it, but I was fine.

Coach House is a year-round Christmas-themed bar. Located in Old Town Scottsdale, a block or two away from Fifth Avenue, there's a parking lot that was pretty full when I arrived. If you can't find a spot, you can find some free street parking close by (max of three hours). Ambiance (4/5): A lot of holiday pop-ups these days have entrance fees and expensive holiday-themed cocktails. You'll find none of that pretentiousness here. There's no entrance fee and no elaborate cocktails. The reason to visit is the multitude of Christmas lights that adorn both the patio and the indoor area. There are also a bunch of TVs which makes it a good spot to check out the game. It's mostly a patio bar, but there is some room indoors too. As well as Golden Tee and another game. Service (4.5/5): There's a bouncer checking your ID before you come in. From there, there's a larger bar inside where you can order a drink from one of two bartenders (at least when I was there) or a smaller outdoor bar with one bartender (at least when I was there). There's a cash discount (which I always appreciate). What that means is that they don't charge you tax if you pay by cash. While the bar was busy, the bartenders working were efficient. Food (N/A): Coach House doesn't serve food but they did have a Mexican food truck posted up on the patio while I was there. I didn't have any food during my visit though. Drinks (N/A): Since The Coach House is a dive bar, expect a full bar, but don't expect fancy cocktails. Ordering simple mixed drinks or beer is the way to go. They were out of Montucky Cold Snacks so I went with a Woodchuck Cider for $6. Affordable prices in the heart of Scottsdale... I'll take that any day of the week! Speaking of Christmas miracles, while I was sipping my beer on the patio, I saw two black SUVs pull up. A group of people came out of the cars and there was one person who I immediately recognized. Former NBA MVP and multiple NBA all-star Steve Nash! As a big basketball fan, having a brew at the same bar as a Phoenix Suns legend was pretty epic. On Christmas nonetheless.
