I do love the Swizzle! As I mentioned before, drinks are strong and cheap. They also have a good selection of tequila and whiskey -- so that is appreciated. This last time I went to Swizzle it was on a Saturday night and I didn't get there until 10pm and it was off the chain with no where to park or sit. When people get talking it is really loud inside and you can't hear the touchtunes. People were getting wild and that was super fun. There was a also a little food stand outside in the parking lot, which is really good for a bunch of drinking folks!! read more

Fun hidden gem in central Phoenix, there's lots of regulars that come through and it seems like a nice community of people. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders do a great job taking orders. The vibes are chill, it's a very low key spot and now that I think about it, I'm not sure if they serve food or snacks. Went for a couple of drinks, the bartender was horrible! Nonstop texting, she would go in the corner by the exit door and just text! Half the bar had empty drinks and she didn't care at all! One customer asks her something about a repair (I think) he ask did your mom want it set on 1 or 2, her reply was "I don't give a fuck)! He said if you don't care I don't and went back to drinking! I'm assuming her mom is the owner or she had this guy do some work for her mom? Either way, I think someone yell to Courtney I need a drink. This was yesterday afternoon (Tuesday). Was visiting the area and stopped in for a beer since we love dive bars. The bar was ok, but the locals and bartender were the worst. Ordered 2 beers but couldn't get her attention after for anything else. I wanted to buy a shirt but after trying to get her attention multiple times I gave up. A local started calling my husband an asshole so we left asap and didnt even finish the beers. We had a card on file so we left and after I noticed I was charged $12 for 2 beers. Love this bar, been coming here for the past 12 years. I've had the same bartenders most of the time and definitely have my favorites. However, this past Tuesday night just was not it. I came in and sat at the bar for about 12 minutes before a bartender emerged from who knows where with black gloves on that NEVER came off. I'm in the industry and I typically come on a Monday night, but after working an 8 day stretch I went in on a Tuesday. I thought Megan was working and was surprised to find the bar somber, and dead of energy;life. Furthermore, once the bartender emerged, with long hair, don't know her name, but also didn't know how to say. As my gf and I said "hi, how are you?" And all we got was "what do you to drink?" ...... once we told her what we wanted, she got it and disappeared never to be seen of again until who know when. We only planned to have that one drink and leave because the vibe was not inviting. However, we met a mom and daughter here and a guy named Brad and we all played pool and it made the time better. Another guy came in and I was like "it'll be probably about 10 minutes before the bartender emerges" and it was just about that. Later one the bar back/ security guy came in and was like "where's the bartender?" And I was like "no idea, have fun hunting." .... Anyways the black gloves never came off and if we hadn't met the people we would've left right away, and if not for the bar back having great energy and personality we wouldn't have stayed as long as we did. Caught up with a girlfriend over drinks at Swizzle Inn and had a great time. The location's super convenient, and the place has a cozy, laid-back vibe. The bar was packed with people chatting and laughing, which made it feel really fun and welcoming. They've got a full bar, which was awesome, and the staff was super friendly--service was solid all around. I loved the red, white, and blue decor too; it gave off that classic American dive bar feel in the best way. Definitely a cool spot to hang out. I just wrote a Google review and I would have to say again the bartenders are horrible in this place. This was my first time going here just on a fun adventure and waited 45 min for a drink and I just left not even getting one because how awful they were. Once one of the bartenders finally got around to us was 20 min and she said she was going off shift and the bartender that was there can help us . Waited another 25 minutes and never got served so just left. What made it even worst was the bartender that said she was going off shift was still serving the regulars there so for you non regulars good luck on getting any services !!!! They need to have negative stars on these reviews because they don't deserve not even a 1 !!! read more

This is a laid back small dive bar. Came here with a group of friends. They have one dart board and one pool table. Filled with people if all age groups. Bartender was nice. Came to table to get first drink order but after that you had to go to the bar to order. Once the bar started to fill up it took awhile to get a drink. They went to regulars first regardless of who came to bar first. Otherwise had a great time here, would definitely return. It's dark inside this place so be prepared to squint when leaving. You'll for sure be swaggering out of the swizzle inn. read more

The bar itself and 90% of the beautifully diverse people who go there all the time are great. As are all of the bartenders. Except owner daughter we call her Frowny Pants. She literally sucks the life out of the place when she comes waddling in. You can hear it. Her mother, the owner, is the same. If you can go in there and ignore them you should be ok. The daughter with her condescending I'm better than you attitude is beyond sickening. And don't cross mom whatever you do because getting 86'd from here is real easy. Good Tipper or not. read more

Came in with our friends after a brunch filled morning. So finding this awesome hidden gem was perfection. Neither of us had been here, but we all know we will for sure be back as soon as we can. The bartender was super friendly. There were clearly some locals who had the place packed every weekend. But we found our high top and got great drinks at great prices. I really loved the divey atmosphere but look at the pics, the look is just awesome with the lighting. Definitely Yelp picture worthy.
