Dive bar in the middle of Arcadia. First off - they have photo hunt, IYKYK. Classic game from 2000's, very hard to find these days. They also have 1 pool table and karaoke on Tuesday Nights. I love dive bars and this is truly a dive bar (in the best way). It's pretty small, but at the same time, there is space for a pool table, darts, a live band, and there is also outdoor seating. The band was really good. It's always an added bonus when you get to listen to a live band. The bar also serves food, but we were there just for drinks. This is a great local dive bar. It's everything I wanted from a Dive Bar around Holiday season. Dollar bills wall to wall, Christmas lights hanging from the dirty old ceiling, an old lady and her band singing No Doubt and Janis Joplin on the little stage. Even got cussed by some douchebag's because me and my friend (who were there with men) would not play darts with them. Outside of that we had a really great time here and met so many different types of people. From your your old biker, some hipsters, and my favorite of the night, some local gays, they made our night! Used to love this place but will not be going back after last night. The clientele at this place has a real problem. I witnessed a girl on the patio who was non-responsive with vomit leaking from her mouth. Her friends thought they had the situation "under control", someone called the paramedics and they refused their help. They also screamed and physically pushed another patron out of the bar that was trying to help. It was a full on trash situation. I left after that horror show, I really hope someone with some brains helped that girl. read more

He happened to get an itemized receipt set next to it, and it lists all kinds of beers. So he tells her that it's not right. Then she hands us a receipt for $16, no itemization. I'll be honest, for those cheapo beers, I still think it was wrong. If we go back, we're definitely not opening a tab again. Chopper John's, go figure! It's not a friendly place if you're a newcomer, it's very cliquish. At times there's good music by local bands, but don't try to use the jukebox because it seems it is owned by regulars, a newbie doesn't stand a chance to select any music. I wonder how it got its name chopper Johns because you rarely see more than one maybe two nice bikes parked in front or in back. I have no desires to return. So we headed on down to Chopper Johns, WOW a great little dive bar, walked in and the bartender greeted us right away, we took a seat by the bar and ordered some cherry drink, let me tell you, it was cheap and strong, 2 things I love! It was a great little crowd, am willing to come back on another night to see what the crowd is like. I am not a social person. Can't beat a dingy hole in the wall bar ( my kind of place) feels like home walking in. They have a condom dispenser In the middle of the bar! How cool is that or weird? Anywho the bartender pretty cute little thing is super friendly and attentive although she was busy with a full bar she managed to stay on top of our table of 6. I wasn't expecting much for a 5 dollar Bloody Mary that came with substantial food ( Taco ) on this occasion. But I was wrong. The Bloody Mary was damn tasty. I wish it came with bacon Bc bacon makes everything better but those are wishes and wellp the Bloody Mary was still amazing regardless. It was full of flavor well balanced spice level and tomatoey not runny or watered down with a good balance of booze. The taco was actually impressive Bc of its size and it had avocado. Not an authentic taco but still pretty good on an empty stomach. I'm pretty sure that Chopper John's is one of my favorite bars in town. It's unpretentious, there are $1 bills taped to all the walls and the ceiling, and the music video playing above the bar was frozen on a thong-clad buttock for about 10 minutes before anyone noticed. Drinks are cheap (five of us had drinks and a delicious meat-sauce-and-patty simple cheeseburger for about $35), the bar was quiet (you can actually hear each other talk!), and the locals and bartenders were chill and friendly. It feels like a bar that belongs in a small town in rural Washington State, and that's a compliment. There's a pool table and other standard dive bar essentials, and there are microphones that our bartender clarified are NOT for karaoke (apparently they have a lot of live music and once tried to have a karaoke night but decided against doing that ever again). Also our bartender knew how to make a killer salty dog. Totally will be back. read more

I came here last night with a girlfriend after a concert. And I was so excited when I walked in because this bar reminds me of another in chandler. well I'll never be back I was extremely disappointed. I used to be a bartender for a high volume bar I know how the industry is. Who ever the blonde bartender was last night completely disappointed me. I sat for about ten minutes at the bar before she even acknowledged us. There was like 10 people at the bar. All of which trying to get her attention for drinks or to close out or whatever they needed. And she just kept walking in the back. When I finally got her attention she was very rude and didn't get us waters when we asked for them. We straight up left and paid for the two shots we got but didn't drink. Please find a better bartender. This place so much potential especially since there's concerts all the time down the street. She could have made good money off of us and made the business some more money if she didn't ignore everyone at the bar. Actually let me rephrase that, if she didn't just talk to her regulars, or hold a napkin with something in it walking around back and forth saying "ew I can't believe someone would do this, this is disgusting " whatever was going on, can wait. read more
