If you are looking for a dive bar this is your spot. It's super casual, the drinks are really cheap and it's in the middle of a strip mall. They even have a hotdog warmer behind the bar with chips! After 5pm or so on Fridays it can get really busy + the weekends but it's always such a fun spot to hangout, play pool, and just have a drink or two! One other thing, the location is really nice because it's in the middle of most of the city (Arcadia ish). Parking can get a little crazy the later you show up too! read more

I was visiting my friend in Arizona for her birthday and had just landed Thursday evening when we decided to check out Dilly Dally Lounge in Mesa. It was close to her place, and since she's new to the area and hadn't been yet, we figured--why not? As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, we could hear the music bumping and knew we had to go in. The vibe inside was everything you want in a good dive bar--chill, fun, and full of locals just having a good time. They had a pool table, dartboard, and some seriously stiff drinks (in the best way). We ended up staying until close, just enjoying the laid-back atmosphere and great energy. What I loved most about this awesome dive bar were the options to be safe during covid times and to social distance your party. The booths are large half circles around very large tables that can easily seat 6-10. They are apart from each other and apart from the bar. Take a comfy seat and appoint someone to go and brave the crowd at the bar. The front of the bar features a roll-top door atop a "counter" with stools behind it and a bank of high-volume fans that keep the air moving! True it was a bit cool for winter, but a great SAFE option to remove your mask and enjoy a few drinks with friends. Lots of security, so sketchy elements outside in the lot knew they were being watched. There was a police incident in the parking g lot while we were there, but it was handled discreetly and professionally. Plenty of free parking right outside the front door, the way Phoenix should be! To hell with these meter grabbing municipalities and valets-for-fakers for the Scottsdale crowd. Lots to do here. Nicely placed bar in the center of the long room, and to-dos at the far end next to restrooms. Great great dive bar. Right along the east Phoenix corridor. read more

"Bouncer" ask for ID for me and my girlfriend as he was casually sitting on booth with his "boys". We laughed it off as we thought it was a joke due to his unprofessional manor and demeanor. He proceeded to follow us to the bar. Said we could show him an ID or leave. We again laugh it off again due to the ridiculous nature of the interaction and just decided to leave due to his aggressive approach to the situation. As we were leaving, four gentlemen walk in and he dapped them up and never asked for ID. It's 2023, maybe defining consistency to keep up with the times would be beneficial. Update to 4 stars: Their sports on TV game has been strong lately, especially during the Suns playoffs run! Dilly Dally lounge is a pretty good spot. Great location in Arcadia. Cheap drinks, pretty clean (including the bathrooms). The service I've gotten has always been friendly. It has a neighborhood bar feel, you'll get a bit of a crooked look from the regulars, but overall they keep to themselves. Plenty of parking. No food, but I imagine you can bring in your own outside food. There's basically a big bar rail for seating and and a few booths. They have a pool table and a couple of dart boards I've never seen used, but that's about it for entertainment. It could use a Golden Tee or pinball, but space is limited in there. Couple of items that I think could be improved: they could use a few more TVs, and maybe keep sports on most of the time. One or two of the TVs seem to be locked on the food network. They also don't open until 3 PM, I work pretty early so I'm usually ready for a beer pretty early. I get it though, with no food it may not make sense to open at 11 or noon. It can get a little rough around the edges at night. All in all though, it's a pretty good place. I'd up it to 4 stars if either the TV situation was a little better or they opened a little earlier. read more

This used be be a total dive which was unique to Arcadia. I finally visited it after the new owners revamped it. Still has a dive bar appeal with great drink prices and the staff was attentive and nice. I was just not a fan of the music choice the bartenders chose and the volume was crazy loud (like a Scottsdale bar), especially when playing pool .
