Absolutely DISGUSTING behavior from bar staff after my friends were verbally and physically harassed by a guy trying to sell us drugs. When we told them this was happened they did NOTHING and saw the guy push my friend down and call him a slur and still sat behind the bar and let it happen. This bar does not care about the safety of women and are friends with coke dealers so if you're in the mood to be put in an unsafe environment on a night out and have the bar tenders do nothing to help you then this is your place!! read more

My first visit was a lot of fun, but my recent experience was not good. I went with some friends after the D-backs game last night for a drink. The bartender was friendly and chatting with regulars, but as soon as we approached the bar, her attitude changed, and she walked away without saying a word. Me and my party were like did she just walk away!! Fast forward, I was asking her for a vodka seltzer which was like a bother to ask. All I said was to her was "Wow this is great I never had this, This is vodka?" very catty and rude she says "isn't that what it says on the can?" reading other reviews this place has a rep for rude service. Terrible service, bartenders are rude especially the guy with the hat and beard. Avoid this place. Beer taste like they haven't cleaned the lines and got all upset when I asked for another beer that didn't taste like an old dirty rag. We have been wanting to try this place since it changed owners/names. Stopped by on a Friday night. The place was a little busy, but still had some open tables. The service was great. The atmosphere was your typical bar scene. Pool tables, dart boards, a couple games, and jukebox. We started with the spinach dip with tortilla chips, then onto a Chicago style hot dog, hotdog, and cheeseburger. For drinks, we had a few beers, great to find a place with Guinness on tap, even tried the gummy bear slushy drink. Everything was great. We will definitely be back. I don't normally venture out to New local bars... but my wife and I were out on a date night and dinner ended early but we weren't ready to head home yet why waste a good face of makeup...lol So I yelped bars near me and Hollyrock was like 1.6 miles a away! So as we pulled up we were a little nervous because lets be real all spaces are not lbgtq+ or poc friendly... be mutually decided we'll have one drink and leave if it's not a vibe! Welp 10 drinks later (collectively...lol) we were still there my wife was enjoying they game and everyone was nice. There were pool tables and I think a jukebox the bartender Josh was really nice and poured good drinks my wife had like a chocolate martini and it was really good I had skittles shots all night which were also really good! Do not go here. Used to be great when it was HB's, new owner is CRAZY! Extremely rude and started lecturing us out of no where, then kicked us out and walked away. We were there for about 15 mins and still in our first game of pool. The 4 of us were amazed at her attitude and the way she spoke to us. The "owner" is a stuck up a**hole. We got there and their pool table was broken- she came up to us and said, "hey this table is free because it's broken so share after your game." Of course we were happy to do that.. so we're in the middle of our game and she comes up to me and she signaled me over like I was a child with her finger and was like, "these (the pool ball triangle) don't go here" in a very condescending tone. We understood but then expressed how she shouldn't speak to customers that way and should speak with respect, she got defensive and very unprofessional in her "owner" role and then she kicked us out. Terrible service from Chelsea. She took our drink order and came back about 40 minutes later with our drinks. She then asked for anything else but did not check back with our table at all. Chelsea is the worst server at this place. She could learn how to be more efficient at taking orders when her role is a server. She claimed this is her bar but she did not serve any drinks. read more

A must visit! Had an amazing experience here. Misty is absolutely awesome! I saw this sweet looking Dos XX Phoenix Suns El Valle banner outside of her bar. I had to have it! So I walked in and asked the bartender if there was any way I could buy it or if they had an extra one I could buy. He said to ask the owner and she came out right as he said that. Perfect timing! She was super nice and asked where I was from and what I was doing in the area. Long story short, she was happy I appreciated the banner and gifted it to me! I offered her money and she refused to take it. She said if she accepted it then this moment wouldn't be special. She has a such a great personality and is so friendly. Okay okay so I stopped here it was mid-afternoon or so the bar had just barely open they were in the process of cleaning and I walked in and I asked if I could use the rest as I stood at the bar, I felt someone come up and wrap their arm around my waist, which was quite unusual considering that I was the only person in the bar other than the bartenders behind the bar, when I turned around to see who came up behind me the bartender noticed I was looking around and she said to me in a nonchalant tone of voice, oh I see you were touched that's our local ghost. Very funny reading these reviews...I went for the first time yesterday afternoon. M expectation was a neighborhood pub and that's exactly what I got. Interesting most of the negative comments were from women.... Avg rating by women~1.5. Avg rating by men ~4.2. This is a place where people go to escape presumption...If no one comes to give you a drink, go to them...If someone seems rude, could they see the same in you? I mean, c'mon man. Pull up your britches, quit whining, and get a beer. The beer was ice cold. And the cost was reasonable. If you want to be treated like a princess, get a boyfriend. Stopped in for a nightcap last night and got GREAT service and great beers! They have Huss' Koffee Kolsch and they even have a beer on tap that's a mix of the koffee Kolsch and a vanilla porter. Sooooo good! Had a couple Jell-O shots with the beers and will definitely be back to grab a couple more beers soon! read more

Ok...Brent W's review is completely off base. I was sitting at the bar when his group came in. Clearly they had already been out. A few came in and a few stayed outside. The bartender clearly stated that she needed to see everyone's IDs. The group simply couldn't get it together to provide all of their IDs. The bartender wouldn't/ couldn't serve them until they were provided. The group freaked out and called her homophobic...an hour before the Gay and Lesbian Association of Darts had just finished up. HB Hanrattys has been and will continue to a a bastion of inclusion. Everyone is welcome regardless of ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation...everyone except jerks who think that because they throw a tantrum they can besmirch a fine establishment on Yelp. If I could give this bar no stars I would. I had an extremely unpleasant experience with the bartender named Diana. She had no problems serving three other friends of mine, yet when I asked for drinks she was more than rude. There was absolutely no reason to not serve me, especially when she didn't refuse anyone else that I with or even ID them. When my friends realized what happened they quickly rallied for me. I will never go back there again. I am currently waiting for the owner to contact to me. Because when I called to speak to them Diana the bartender hung up on me. But, the Manager Chelsea asked me to leave because I voiced my opinion instead of trying to rectify what I thought was wrong. Sorry but I think if a customer says something about my advertisement signs I would tell them my apologies for not having it and offer something else in its place and leave it at that. I under estimated this place. One of my coworkers had suggested it before for happy hour and and we finally gave it a shot. On Halloween a group of us headed over. At first we were the only ones there but even when people started trickling in, it wasn't too crowded. There's multiple dart boards and billiard tables. There's also board games! I had a margarita thinking I wasn't going to like it, but the bartender put together a great drink! They also offer the option to order food from Two Hippies Beach House next door. i was just treated so horribly by some man who claimed he was a manager when he spoke to me, me and my dog were sitting by the entrance of the bar where the electronic dart machine was for 3 hours mind you just me my other friend and my small frenchie. After 3 1/2 hours these group of guys who were initially playing darts by the bathroom come up and began to play darts infront of me and my friend and my dog. two of the men began to hit on me by telling me i was beautiful and petting my dog, my dog was very interested in their game of darts and since he is a puppy was following along with them throwing the darts thinking he was gonna catch one he was very calm and not interfering with them until one of them threw a dart and it landed on the floor and my dog picked it up, mind you i had been at this spot for 3 hours and these 3 gentlemen came over from the back of the restaurant where they were already playing darts to come to where i was at. So this one guy after my dog picks up the PLASTIC DART says "i just want you to know that if one of these hit your dog im not liable for anything" where i say ok i don't believe my dog will be injured but ok and he goes well i would feel more comfortable if you sat in the back where no one was playing darts just to make sure your dog didn't get injured. which ok yes is fair but i was sitting there first and he had two whole dart boards to him and his friends in the back corner and why should i have to move right ?? and so i said that "i was here first" and he says "well im the manager and i can ask you to leave because dogs aren't allowed in this bar but im being kind and allowing you to have him here so i suggest you sit in the back so your dog doesn't get injured" i said i bet you enjoy speaking to women that way cause what the hell your a undercover manager you and your friends come over here out of no where and your trying to assert authority by claiming your a manager of this bar ??? i don't think so he was a BALD lol bearded man tried to argue with me while being intoxicated i was like ill just finish the drink i paid for and leave and slamed the drink infront of him and said i think the way your talking to me is very aggressive and i will not allow any man who can't even grow hair on the top of his head try to assert any authority over me i don't care if your the king of egypt go fuck your self and obviously his bald headed a** didn't recognize me because he's served me many times as a BARTENDER at this establishment but once i say i'm not interested in any of his friends he pops a attitude.
