Great little outdoor spot. They just updated their menus and can't wait to try some of their homemade pastas. My friends and I tried some of their custom cocktails and they were very well balanced and tasty!

Love their drinks and the staff! Their sidecar cocktail is the best, and the quality is always consistent. The dim lighting adds such a romantic, cozy ambiance--one of my favorite spots!

Last minute Valentine's Day spot. This is a great little speakeasy that I almost missed. The drinks were great and the service was better. The drinks definitely were unique but worth trying.

This eating is only based off of two drinks, no food , great service. If you're looking for a low key but romantic vibe, I'd recommend this gem of a spot. Will be back for some food next time.

I ordered a cheeseburger! It came out w/o cheese! They brought the cheese 10 minutes later! Really?

First of all, I love the ambience! It's perfect for groups and/or date night! However, the service here was absolutely atrocious!! We got there at 5:30 pm, hoping for Happy Hour. We were told we could only do happy hour at the restaurant and not here at The Sidebar. However, when we sat at the bar, the waitress gave us happy hour menus! Really? Anyway, we ordered our food and drinks. Soon afterwards, a table opened up so we moved. Our food finally came out, but I ordered a cheeseburger and it came out w/o cheese! Before I could tell the server that my burger had no cheese, she was gone! I waited another 10-15 minutes before anyone came to check on us! I told the person about my cheeseless cheeseburger and they brought out a piece of cheese 7-8 minutes later!! WTH!! Wean while, my friends ordered the smoked beets but they forgot, so my friend flagged down a waiter and asked for her order! It came out with the cold piece of cheese! (Insert eye roll here!) I'm willing to give this place another chance because it as such a cute place! However, get your servers trained on customer service! There's no excuse for a place this cute to have such subpar service!!

Everything about my visit was splendid!! We wanted the delicious food from Ocotillo but also a fine cocktail. And Sidecar Social Club fit the bill. The ambiance and service were great. It was a cool evening for it being September in the desert. And I delighted in being outside, next to the dozens of string lit trees and vast open space. It was good for the souls after being indoors most of summer. The drinks were original and fantastic. We had the Apollo and Starlet. I loved the Starlet!!! We definitely ordered too much food. And don't regret it. I want to order everything on the Ocotillo menu. The chef knows what he is doing. And I imagine the kitchen is well run. The gem salad was truly a gem. I have day dreamed of it a few times since. I could have been satisfied with that alone. (And Starlet, of course) The wings were sticky deliciousness. I only wish they were served with wet towels/wipes. We also enjoyed the market fish (halibut ) and pasta with ragu. Oh my. They were both perfect. It was one of those nights I wished I could eat more. I will definitely return!

Intimate bar tucked away on the Ocotillo property. It's the shipping container, but inside it feels like a swanky cocktail lounge. We enjoyed the atmosphere - the red lighting, black marble, and leather. We loved the Purple Does Something Strange to Me (bourbon, rum, aperitif, elderberry, pineapple, lemon). We thought the Serpent in the Garden was okay, it was like a spiked chili soda (gin, rum, chili, cucumber, ginger, lime, carbonation).

Four stars for the bartender. Bartender was extremely nice and helpful and recommended great drinks. Even remade them if it was too bitter. Ambiance is very cute, outdoor seating as well as indoors. Lights hanging. Ordered ahi tuna - lacked a lot of flavor. We squeezed lemon on it to help. Got the shoe string fries, the dijon/ Mayo sauce was very good. Would come back for drinks again.

We came here a few weeks ago on a Saturday night around 11pm. There were only a few other people here. I am guessing this is more of an early evening spot. The AzteCa tastes like an old fashioned. Elegance is refusal is decent but not my fav. Aviatrix is very unique and I really liked it. They have a dog friendly patio and they brought out water for our dog. Service was excellent.

Still one of my faves. Friendly staff, cool menus, fun drinks.

UPDATE: the new menu is written in hipster and I tried to give it a shot but those drinks are nasty. What even are those ingredient combos. A real shame. This was my families favorite spot, we used to crave drinks on the old menu. We were very disappointed to see this major change, and now we will not be back. On to the next.

The outdoor patio here is perfect for Arizona spring! I had the Miami Nights cocktail and it was delicious!

The ambiance is quaint. It's a small place, but it shines so bright. Excellent drinks. All custom & unique. It's on my hit list. Meaning I will always suggest & want to go there on a night out. Bartenders are friendly & attentive.

Many of which do not contain additives. I won't lie, I thought I was a big fan until I realized I didn't recognize a lot of the tequilas they had on hand. Downstairs is a whole different vibe. Custom craft cocktails, dim lighting with artwork, and more make it feel like an upscale NYC spot in your basement. It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

However, after attempting to reach out to the company via their online platform with no response, I feel I have no other choice but to share my experience here in hopes that it will finally be addressed. On April 13th, I sat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine. As I continued to search the menu to eventually order food the bartender had informed me of a special that gave me a bottle of wine for half the price, so I asked him to go ahead and pick a red wine. He delivered the bottle and as I started to enjoy my very first sips of the first pour, I continued to browse the menu to decide what to eat. While browsing, I noticed a roach crawling on the bar top in front of me and making its way around my wine glass and bottle before going back behind the bar where all garnishes are kept. I quietly but immediately alerted the bartender and he asked me what I would like him to do. I told him that I truthfully had no answer as I have never experienced this before but I would give him discretion to do what he thinks is right. He understood and apologized stating that there is recent construction behind the bar and they have been having an issue. He approached the end of the bar where I was sitting and pulled out a can of Raid and sprayed the area where I was and in the direction the roach traveled. This completely ruined the evening, and I asked to close out. The bartender, while polite, asked what he could do to make it right. Being quite frantic and uncomfortable in the moment, I let him know that given the circumstances I would be leaving without ordering food and would not be taking the now untouched bottle of wine. Given that I had a nearly full bottle of wine that I could no longer enjoy due to the environment, I expected the bottle to be comped or something. Instead, I was only credited for the initial single glass and was charged full price for the bottle that I left behind and did not drink. I understand that pest control issues can happen unexpectedly in the industry, which is why I didn't want to make a scene or immediately jump to a negative public review. I wanted to give management the opportunity to address both the handling of the situation (spraying chemical pesticides next to a guest's beverage) and the billing. Sadly, the complete lack of acknowledgement or response to my inquiries over the last four weeks is what brings me here. I had hoped the leadership team would take these matters with more consideration. I truly hope the next guest is able to enjoy their experience more than I did, and that management takes this as an opportunity to improve their communication and protocol.

My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
