Thanks to Yelp, our group discovered this hidden gem and enjoyed a fabulous meal celebrating my brother-in-law's cancer remission. Gigi was incredibly sweet, friendly, and attentive. She went out of her way to give us her best and is truly excellent at what she does! The brunch menu was fantastic, offering a great mix of both breakfast and lunch options, and everything we tried was delicious. My husband and I split the knockout burger, and WOW--it was amazing! The meat was flavorful, the bun was soft, and the crispy sidewinder fries were the perfect complement. The service was flawless, and the spot itself is absolutely charming, tucked into a lovely area of Camelback. read more

I've been here twice and this place makes a mean cocktail. If you like an old fashioned, try theirs. Their version is a lighter summer-friendly take on a cocktail that can feel heavy and cloying in the heat. Our first trip was happy hour apps and they were decent. Not amazing but pretty good. I got the shrimp Cobb salad on my second visit and it was very tasty. They have a wonderful patio and I recommend sitting here because the music in the bar is loud. (Although, they did turn it down when we asked.) Service was good but maybe a little too attentive. We were checked on a bit too often. read more

First time at Orchard Tavern -- it's definitely out of our usual bubble, but absolutely worth the trip! We love their other spot, Luci's, which is closer to us, so we were excited to finally try this one. We did a hike nearby and stopped in for lunch. I had the burger with fig and goat cheese -- what a great pairing! And the cookie skillet for dessert was absolutely delicious. My husband had the nachos and loved them. The cocktail menu is wonderful too -- we both had one and were impressed with the options. Our server was great, and the outdoor seating is really top notch. Definitely coming back! read more

I've been to this place twice, and plan on coming back more. They have a summer special $6 margaritas and $8 old fashions. Can't beat that price! The chicken wings were so big I could not fit them in the ranch container, they were breaded and cooked well! Instead of carrots and celery they give you pickles and cooked carrots that I liked better. The ribs, burgers, nachos, and pizza were all good. read more

I had amazing first visit at Orchard Tavern. Will definitely be going back many more times. The ambience was beautiful! The food was yummy and the drinks were fantastic! What made it even better was the staff. The bartender lived there as a child and the waitresses were great. The manager, Andy, was hilarious and shared some lovely stories. Looking forward to sitting outside when weather gets cooler in AZ! read more

I've been to Orchard Tavern twice now: once for dinner and once for happy hour and both times were solid experiences. This one of those places that if you didn't know about it, you would totally miss it and because it's hidden in uptown area neighborhood. The first time I had the French dip and it was huge. Like actually huge. But more importantly, it was flavorful and not dry, which is my biggest complaint with most French dips. The au jus was perfect with it. I went back for happy hour and tried the mimosa flight, which was honestly just fun. Good variety, not watered down, and perfect for sitting on the patio and relaxing for a bit. The patio has a cozy vibe and the service has been easy and friendly both times. It's just a dependable spot that does what it's supposed to do: good food, good drinks, and good atmosphere. I'll be back. read more

Second trip in and still loving this place. Vince was our server/bartender, and he crushed it. He opened with a disclaimer that he was new (bold move), but honestly, you'd never know, the service was on point. Thanks, Vince! Bonus: it was the first glorious day under 95 degrees, so obviously patio seating was the move. Drinks Woodford Sour - This is the primary reason I keep coming back. Proper whiskey sour with egg white, none of that neon mixer nonsense. Still the best whiskey sour in the valley, fight me. Kona Cactus - Tequila, coconut, lime, pineapple, pineapple foam, li hing. A lot going on here, but somehow it works. The pineapple foam is the MVP. I could honestly eat a bowl of it. Light, sweet, fluffy pineapple goodness finishing off the drink perfectly. Mai Tai - My first one ever, and turns out it's basically a margarita in rum's clothing. Not bad, just underwhelming after those first two. Food Steak & Eggs - The 10 oz NY strip was absolute perfection. Medium, exactly as ordered, beautifully seasoned, and so tender you almost didn't need the knife. The chimichurri-style sauce wasn't just an accent, it was the exclamation point on a perfect steak. This steak honestly outshined everything else on the table and could've carried the whole meal by itself. The eggs were fine after a DIY salt-and-pepper rescue, but let's be real, the steak was the headliner and everything else was just the opening act. Bacon? Fantastic, but so rich one piece is plenty. Cheddar chive biscuit? Exactly what you want with a steak breakfast. Schreiner's sausage + mushroom gravy tasted good but had a little raw flour sweetness hanging around. Still, it paired nicely with the biscuit. Overall, another win. A couple of minor misses, but when you've got steak this good and whiskey sours this perfect, who cares? This place just keeps delivering. read more

Yum! We attended a summer movie event here in the little area between lucis and orchard tavern last night and it was a blast! We ordered online from orchard tavern and it was ready even faster than toast said it would be and pickup was super easy. We got a margarita pizza with goat cheese, and a kids cheese pizza, which is the size of a regular pizza. We also got the sidewinder fries with ranch and aioli. They forgot our ranch at first but my husband was able to go grab it. The friends we were with got a cheese pizza too and had fast pickup. The pizza was super delicious and ingredients tasted fresh! I loved the seasoning in the goat cheese. My husband really loved the sidewinder potatoes, they're like swirly steak fries! Pricing wasn't like insane, kind of as expected. My 2 year old enjoyed the pizza and fries too! And I loved the flavor of the aioli. Really fun, cool spot. Will be back this summer for sure! read more

First time here! It was a group of 6 of us. When coming be prepared to walk , parking gets full quickly. We ended up having to park in the nearby neighborhood. The food was yummy , cute ambiance. Staff was okay, they forgot drink orders and never brought them... that was annoying. Other than that I would go again. I especially want to try the place next door , similar menu but different and free outside sitting. We initially wanted to go there but it was harder for me to hold a table for a big party by myself while everyone else was looking for parking. read more

Just an update to my review a year ago. I still love this place. Charitye is the whole package as a bartender and front facing employee. She is welcoming, accommodating, and has an awareness of customer's needs that you just can't teach. Tonight we both had burgers and they were delicious. The fries or onion rings are both a solid choice. So glad to have the Orchard in the neighborhood! P.S. I am disappointed they took the fried, pancake batter dipped bacon off the brunch menu. They were so good. Bring 'em back! (Please) read more

The margarita was excellent, shoutout to the bartender, she clearly knows what she's doing. We've been here before and enjoyed the bar food, but this was our first time trying dinner... and unfortunately, it was a let down. Double date nights are always a win, especially when you get a quiet, cool spot in the back of the restaurant (thank you, PHX heat!). The Surf and Turf had good shrimp, but the NY strip (ordered medium rare) was tough and dry. The Caesar could use a better dressing. Potatoes were boring. The Figgy Piggy Burger came out overcooked and dry, and the nachos were a miss--the avocado didn't taste right. We'll be back for the drinks and wings, but dinner missed the mark this time. read more

My wife and I initially were seated outside, but decided it was a bit too warm, and since they didn't have any tables available at that time, we sat at the bar Our bartender was Mike, and was a great conversationalist I ordered the Blurred Limes; Dobel Diamante, lime juice, green chile vodka, lime salt rim The rim was VERY tart, but all the other flavors were quite subtle, overall refreshing Pink Moon; Grey Goose, hibiscus tea, blueberry, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, cranberry Hibiscus is present but not loud, no taste of alcohol Kona Cactus; Dobel Blanco, pineapple, coconut & lime juice, pineapple foam, Li Hing Tart, nice pineapple flavor, slightly sweet but quite refreshing Deviled Eggs; house seasoned egg yolk mousse, applewood smoked bacon chip, relish The bacon chip was large pieces and the smoke flavor comes through, which make for a nice bite, the yolk mousse was velvety, the relish was understated Fig & Goat Cheese Bruschetta; Noble bread, housemade fig jam, herb goat cheese The fig jam is amazing, this was some of the best feta cheese I've ever had, the toast was thick like Texas toast but nicely blackened, it was served on arugula which perfectly cuts the sweetness of the fig and feta Wife had the shakshuka skillet; 2 easy eggs cooked, spicy tomato sauce, peppers, onion, garlic, feta cheese, grilled pita bread Nice heat, could have had more cheese for the volume of the dish, pita bread would be better toasted Mike was a great host and bartender, Luci's was a great experience, will return, would recommend 10/10 read more

Charitye is a wizard behind the bar. If you see her working, you're in for a treat! All of the cocktails on-menu are great, but we love to be her test subjects for new cocktails she's experimenting with. As for food, the Green Chili Stew and the Hatch Burger are some of our favorites, but you can't go wrong with anything. The beet salad and shrimp Caesar salad are also great. TL;DR: The ambiance, food, and drinks are all great, but Charitye is the real reason we keep coming back time after time. read more

The staff was phenomenal and the food exceeded my expectations! The hummus was incredible, the potato skins were unique (and honestly better than the usual), and the pesto pizza was legit. Andy, Brian, Charity, and the entire team were so hospitable, kind, and genuinely welcoming -- you can really feel the care they put into the experience. This weekend was personally a difficult one for me with my dad in the hospital, and I truly needed some smiles. Orchard Tavern gave me exactly that. Thank you -- I can't wait to come back. read more

Absolutely excellent service, food and vibe for the location. A ten top met here for an early dinner at 3pm ahead of a trip to the botanical gardens at 5pm. We were going to meet next door but didn't realize their kitchen closed at 3pm. Thankfully I checked out the Tavern and they could accommodate us on the patio and we didn't have to go elsewhere. Bonus that it was happy hour! The house wines were fine and affordable. I liked the sauv blanc and the accidental Chardonnay wasn't oaky. I couldn't tell it was a mistake, but the server called herself out and comped it. The patio is beautiful and classy spot with deep comfy booths completely shaded with quiet TV showing sports coverage. Everyone raved about their dishes. The pot pie was a great presentation. Burgers were good and juicy. Fish as nicely fried. Skins appetizer was interesting and very good. My French dip was incredible! The dip was so flavorful and aromatic. I wish I could have eaten the whole thing. I'd definitely come here again. read more

Orchard Tavern doesn't sound like a place serving killer cocktails and one of the best pizzas I've had in Phoenix--but here we are. We rolled in for the first time, and honestly? It kind of crushed it. The Mob Ties pizza lives up to the name: spicy, bold, and not messing around. Tenderloin toasts? Basically bougie bar food, but in the best way--rich, savory, and somehow still snackable. The little gem salad was actually fresh (rare), and didn't feel like a punishment for trying to be healthy. Every cocktail we tried was dangerously drinkable, not a single syrup bomb in the mix. Atmosphere-wise, it hits that sweet spot: dim lighting, solid music, zero "we're cooler than you" energy. And our bartender/server deserves a raise--super friendly without being fake, and clearly knew the menu front to back. Made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. Bottom line: If you want a place that's low-key sexy with high-key flavor, go. It's giving date night without the white tablecloth nonsense. Will absolutely be back--next time, hungrier. read more

Travel day. Feeling tired and hungry!! We were greeted really quick even though we came in through the back entrance ‍ We were sat at a comfortable booth near the bar and Mike was our bartender/server. More just our server since neither of us was drinking. Mike had a great personality, was fun and made great suggestions for dinner! I settled on the French dip, no mushrooms and a little gem (I think that's the name) salad. My friend had a burger and sidewinder fries. Mine came with the fries too. DELICIOUS! The meat was good, the aioli was delicious the bread perfect! My friend's burger was cooked perfectly to her liking and the fries were good too. We ended with and Apple coffee cake type dessert with gelato. The music was good, the food and service were great! I'm not in Phoenix very often but I would definitely return to Orchard Tavern! Andy and Gigi took such great care of us at The Orchard Tavern in Phoenix! We went for Sunday brunch with a Friend and our four legged kids, and the experience was fantastic. The patio is beautiful with plenty of room for the Dogs, making it super comfortable for everyone. Not only was the service. Excellent, but the food was absolutely delicious and such an amazing value. The bottomless mimosas for $35 included in entrée - I had the steak and eggs, and it was Yum! New and exciting gastropub! We came on Wednesday after work for drinks and a meal. Firstly, the facility is modern and airy. There is a beautiful patio with lots of shade on the east side of the building. We sat at the large bar to be more social, though. They have TVs but it's not a sports type bar. The bartenders were super friendly and made us some yummy cocktails. Some higher end hooch would be nice. There are many Keto options on the menu. We decided to share three appetisers: the deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, and the brussel sprouts. All were tasty, but none of them stepped outside the box to be great. The happy hour apps were small but priced accordingly. All the staff had a great fun vibe, which translates to a fun experience for customers. We felt like the pricing was good value. We will certainly be back for cocktails and food. read more

The Luci's team has created another hit. We're a big fan of Luci's Marketplace (a short stroller walk from our house) and Luci's at the Orchard (a long stroller walk from our house) and visit frequently. Luci's at the Orchard gets pretty crowded at certain times of year, though, so we were super excited when they announced the opening of a full-service sit down spot at the Tavern! There's a comfortable outside area with sports on TV, friendly waiters, and delicious variations of the food we all love from Luci's. Recent favorites: - Deviled Eggs: upscale style with a bit of fancy bacon stuck in. My 11 month old loved them. So did I. - Bacon Pancake Sticks: recommended by our waiter. This is country fair food at its finest. My 11 month old loved them. I may be a bad parent for feeding this to her. - Shrimp Cobb Salad: because I was trying to be healthy. Nice and crisp. - Shakshuka Skillet: this is SPICY. Do not feed to your 11 month old. Also a highlight: nearby decorative rocks on the ground for your 11 month old to eat. We'll be back! read more

Dined-11/17/24: Came in for brunch after hiking. Must say this place is a hidden gem! I had the Sunday Sammy & my friend had the Shakshuka Skillet. My friend ordered her eggs fried hard (vs over easy) which is how the dish is served and fit since reason they brought out her eggs on the side vs in the dish. It was very saucy for me but she enjoyed it. My Sunday Sammy was no special dish but it was tasty! I heard this place is known for their pizza so looking forward to having some. Service was good & it's located to another restaurant and mini shops for dessert. Cons: like most places in the uptown/midtown area, parking could be a beast and you may need to park in the neighborhood (not sure how the residents feel about that). It's not your typical brunch spot so they don't have many brunch option...I think lunch/dinner is their forte. Overall, it was tasty & I'm looking forward to try their pizza. read more
