    Churn Ice Cream

OMG this spot is a must try! Nestled away in Phoenix is this amazing place where refreshing yummy cocktails match with the most amazing patio. Come for brunch. Come for dinner but above all come for happy hour! As a cocktail snob--I will say wholeheartedly--the cocktails are delicious. I ordered a No. 2 and No. 37. I came with a girlfriend to catch up--sat on the patio with refreshing bevies, the most delightful green salad, and ended our lunch with a scoop of ice cream from Churn. The service was amazing. The staff were all attentive. The vibe and ambiance is a 100. Do your self a favor and check this place out!

Windsor has such a chill vibe. I absolutely LOVE this place for date nights and brunch! Great music, great service, and food that is more delicious than you'd ever imagine!! I always love the chef/bartender choice options. For today I went with a glass of Sauvignon blanc and my husband was delighted to see a porter beer on the menu. My hubby got the porkwich and I decided on the banh mi white fish sandwich. Both were absolutely incredibly and full of flavor! We ALWAYS get the sweet potato fries as they're super yummy! It's a must try place for sure!

Good food, good service with reasonable prices. Great drink prices before 5pm. Love the casual atmosphere.

Back to Windsor after some time and man, what a disappointment. The service was soooooo slow then after food came non existent. It's got great decor but the booth seats need to redone they are very springy. Getting our bill was rough. I just feel if you're not slamming drinks they overlook you.

Windsor is a wonderful hidden gem with a relaxed, casual atmosphere with great service. Stopped by for brunch and had the chicken and waffles--absolutely delicious. I also loved their $6 boozy brunch drinks, which were a great bonus. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more.

Stopped in for a quick drink and appetizer. I had the N 141 bourbon cocktail, which was really good reminiscent of something you'd find in an old-fashioned unique yet to quite delicious. And the corn dog poppers were very good as well, especially with the yellow mustard and the fried pickles. Overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere. And the service was really good.

Let me start by saying: if you're not brunching on a patio with a cocktail menu numbered like a wine list, are you even living? This is not our first rodeo here, and it will not be our last. **The Service** Melissa and Emerald were an absolute delight, attentive, warm, and funny without trying too hard. Melissa's recommendations were spot-on, and her energy was the kind of bubbly that doesn't require a sparkling wine to achieve (though we had that too). 10/10 would be waited on again. **The Patio** Shaded, dog-friendly, and genuinely pleasant. The only thing missing? Some fans. It's Phoenix, people. The sun does not negotiate. To be fair, we WERE dining in the middle of an unprecedented March heat wave. **The Drinks** This cocktail program is serious. The No. 45 (benchmark bourbon, aperol, grapefruit, lemon) has no business being this good. Refreshing, balanced, not punching you in the face with bourbon, just a well-executed, high-quality drink. Easily one of my favorites in all of PHX. Go order it. I'll wait. The No. 129 (sage gin, apricot, strega, spiced apple syrup) had me wildly curious on paper. In the glass? Genuinely delicious, but a bit of an identity crisis. The sage is basically in witness protection and the apple is whispering when it should be talking. Still enjoyed it, probably won't revisit. The No. 17 (cucumber vodka, green tea, fresh cucumber, mint) surprised me. I'm not a cucumber girlie, but this won me over. Strong cucumber aroma, subtle cucumber taste. Refreshing without the vegetable overstaying its welcome. The No. 2 (vodka, peach nectar, peach liqueur, cava) was the one miss for me. The peach teases you on the nose and then ghosts you in the glass. Ends up feeling more wine spritzer than cocktail. Pass. **The Food** The Egg Man sandwich is not playing games. Two eggs over easy (we went over hard), avocado relish, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, spinach, and sambal aioli on toasted brioche with grilled cheddar potatoes on the side. Most places cook over hard eggs until they're basically a hockey puck, but these were sitting right on that perfect edge between over medium and over hard. The sambal aioli is insanely good, spicy but not reckless about it. The avocado relish adds this cool, creamy contrast that keeps everything grounded. The brioche bun was perfectly eggy and buttery without going soggy, which is honestly harder to pull off than it sounds. The grilled cheddar potatoes deserve their own paragraph. Cheesy, creamy, topped with toasty breadcrumbs, they are essentially the best version of funeral potatoes (IYKYK). We grabbed a grilled sausage on the side and it had the kind of smoky, juicy, fennel-forward punch that made me briefly consider ordering a second one. The fennel seeds bring just enough of an herby bite to keep it interesting without being weird about it. **The Finale** Churn's Vietnamese coffee ice cream. I am not dramatic when I say this: it delivered. Coffee ice cream usually tastes like it heard about coffee once at a party. This one actually showed up, strong, warm spice, not cloying, perfectly capturing that Vietnamese coffee character. A worthy ending. **The Bill** Here's the part that actually broke my brain a little. The prices are way better than they have any right to be in this economy. Craft cocktails, quality ingredients, food that's clearly made with some intention, and you walk out not feeling like you need to take out a small loan? In 2026? Respect. Bottom line: Come for the numbered cocktails, stay for the Egg Man and the patio vibes. Just bring a personal fan.

Windsor Chicken Sammie with the chicken missing...

I recommended this place to my coworkers for our team holiday get together as I had it bookmarked for a while and it was near a nonprofit that we volunteered at. Our table was reserved and ready to go for us on the patio. The patio was really nice, and we were happy with the space that we had. I ordered the Picnic Kebabs and an Arnold Palmer. Since the lemonade is fresh, it was very good! With the kebabs you get a skewer of chicken, pork, shrimp, and farm vegetables with harissa aïoli, gold sauce, hummus, and grilled pita. It was tasty and I loved the gold sauce, especially. The veggie and shrimp skewer were my favorites! Quite a few of my coworkers ordered the Windsor Chicken Sammie, as that was recommended as the most popular dish. One of my coworkers received his Sammie without the chicken on it! Our server was on it and she was somewhat embarrassed. The manager didn't come to take it away from the table and redo the sandwich, but came out a few minutes later, with the chicken on a plate. The manager just expected my coworker to plop it on his naked sandwich. No apology, and no accommodations were done by the manager for the error or the inconvenience! Strangely unprofessional and hence the deduction of two stars! All in all, it was a decent experience, but definitely will not be on the top of my list to return!

I love the vibe here. We prefer outside sitting if the weather allows. My wife loves the no. 17 and I always try something new on draft, today we're going with the great divide-$6.00 pitcher. They have really good salads and the staff is friendly. Today we're doing the burger of the month which is a double patty smash burger. I ordered sweet potato fries as my side and a spicy aioli dipping sauce...BOMB! My daughter loves the ice cream shop next door also so win win.

Windsor is one of those restaurants that just have it all! From the ample seating to the extensive menu, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The server we had was super attentive and made sure to check in with us many times despite a busy restaurant. We had a girl dinner - diet coke, fries, and 2 caesar salads. The fries were unexpectedly the star of the show - definitely get the ranch. The caesar was really good too, but could've used more dressing. Would definitely return!

I came here once for a YELP event and had an awesome experience. It's very moody inside, dark, but also upbeat and lively. I had a happy hour coupon for a free drink with food purchase (happy hour times only). Windsor's happy hour unfortunately only goes until 5pm but I did make it in time and snagged a seat at the bar. IT WAS BUSY!!! A Tuesday evening, almost every seat was full. Valerie was one of the people working at the bar area and was nice. I ordered a No. 124 cocktail which had tequila, ruby port and some citrus ingredients. It didn't end up being my favorite. The food however was on point (as always). I ordered the cheddar fondue platter and everything was perfect. The cheese was warm and flavorful, the pretzel was perfectly salted and warm. The apples and sausage were also nice additions. I would order this appetizer again next time!

The cassette tape wall is fabulous!
    Rita J.

Windsor has a fun and eclectic vibe. From the cassette tape wall to the quirky decor, there's a lot of fun stuff to see. They have a great patio area, which we enjoyed today. My friend and I shared the Fondue appetizer and the pretzel bites were so good! We also had the Ahi salad, which was fresh and so delish! We had several people checking on us at all times. Service was amazing! I've been here many times and will be back many more!

Not enough GOOD things can be said about this yummy spot! The ambiance is perfectly lit room that's dark enough to make it romantic, yet light enough to see the menu no problem (they put fresh candles on each table outside as it starts to get dark). Highly recommend making a reservation! It's easy to make a reservation on their website or on Google. The place was busy (but not loud at all), there are constantly people waiting by the hostess to be seated. When we got there at 6:45pm there was a wait time of 45 min. Unless you're lucky like us and get to seat at the bar for first come, first serve! The staff was beyond friendly and they checked in on us as a team (if one waitress was busy, another came in, never left hanging). The food....wow! The loaded chips (aka nachos) were to die for! It's is homemade chips loaded with pulled pork and other amazing toppings. Everything here is big to share! The drinks, were so good my best friend and I wanted to bathe in them. Now the parking lot...it is tight and small. Not a lot of spaces but more than you would expect for the area. We circled around a few times before a spot opened. There is other parking lots across the street worst case this lot is too full. Would definitely visit again!

The soothing decor and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a delightful meal, especially on an unseasonably hot day. We began our culinary journey with the Larb Mushroom appetizer, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The dish featured succulent oyster mushrooms tossed with roasted rice powder, fresh mint, shallots, cilantro, and a vibrant chili-lime dressing. Each bite was a refreshing explosion of flavors, combining the earthy richness of the mushrooms with the zesty brightness of the dressing. It was light, refreshing, and a perfect precursor to the meal ahead. For her main dish, my wife chose the Pad Z U, an outstanding selection that showcased sautéed broad noodles, crispy fried tofu, and Chinese broccoli, all enveloped in a delectable sweet soy sauce. The noodles were soft and chewy, creating a delightful texture that harmonized beautifully with the vegetable medley and tofu. The heat in the dish was skillfully balanced, providing just enough kick without overwhelming the palate. My wife couldn't stop raving about it! I opted for the Kua Kling, and it truly was a star of the evening. This spicy stir-fried minced chicken was enriched with fragrant curry paste, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves, resulting in an aromatic dish that was accompanied by tender long string beans and the unique Sadtor beans. The flavor profile was complex and enticing, with each ingredient complementing the others in a delightful dance of spice and freshness. It was a dish that not only warmed my belly but also left me craving more. What elevated our experience even further was the attentiveness of our server. With a genuine smile and a welcoming demeanor, they offered excellent recommendations and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Their knowledge of the menu added to our enjoyment, making the dining experience even more memorable. Overall, LeDu Thai is a culinary treasure that I cannot recommend highly enough. Each dish was exceptional, bursting with flavor and crafted with care. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Thai dining experience. We arrived without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 25 minutes, which was totally reasonable. We waited the full time and checked in once, only to find the wait continuing to extend while several outdoor tables sat open. When we politely asked about our table, the host (a woman with glasses) responded with a noticeably rude and dismissive attitude. At one point, she muttered under her breath something along the lines of, "If you guys are so anxious... you can head over there," which multiple people in our group heard. It felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We were eventually seated at a table that was partially in direct sun, and when we asked about moving to one of the shaded tables, we were told they were unavailable and "reserved". However, those tables remained empty for over 30 minutes, which was frustrating given the situation. To be fair, there was another older woman on staff who was warm, attentive, and fantastic, and the food itself continues to be a highlight. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and one of the reasons we've come back multiple times. That said, this isn't the first time we've experienced service issues here, and it often feels like the restaurant is understaffed, which may be contributing to the inconsistency. I really want to love this place and continue recommending it, but experiences like this make it hard. Great food can only carry things so far when the hospitality side feels off. It's one thing to occasionally be understaffed (I understand people call off in this business) but there's a consistency here which points towards management issues and then on top of it, when your hostess is unnecessarily rude, that's a real bummer. We live in the Willo nearby and I don't think we're going to keep coming here if this restaurant allows the constant service issues and the rude staff like this.

The food feels local yet innovative and most importantly, everything was delicious. Octopus: 5/5 The best octopus dish I've ever had. My seven-year-old son kept asking for more and more. Pretzel: 4/5 The whipped butter and honeycomb paired perfectly with the pretzel. If you're a pretzel lover, you'll really enjoy this. Gem Salad: 5/5 Fresh, bright, and lightly dressed with a subtle mustard flavor. Elote Pasta: If you love Mexican street corn, this playful pasta dish is a fun take on it. Charcoal Cabbage: 10/5 Incredible. The flavors were so unique. It tasted kind of like black garlic. Absolutely unforgettable. Pesto Sundae Dessert: 5/5 So creative and innovative. Fun play on pesto. I've never had ice cream made with pine nuts before and loved it. The basil granita was incredibly refreshing. Service: 10/5 I wish I had gotten their names, but our server (a boxer) and the hostess with long brown hair were fantastic. Truly warm and welcoming service.

For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.

Our food ended up at another table and vice versa. When we got the Mini Pizzas, they were very tasty and a great little snack between lunch and dinner.
