I had such a great time at Windsor with -- shoutout to our server Kyle!! We were all satisfied with our orders (my Banh Mi was so good, and my friends kept raving over the ranch LOL). The only dish that didn't quite meet our expectations was the corn bread, but when we told the server he was so kind about it and we were able to exchange it for a different side. The overall service was great! I made a reservation for 4 on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Kyle checked up on us frequently and our food came out pretty quick too! Also, at the bar area there was a TV that played the world cup game, and afterwards baseball. I think this can be a nice lowkey place to watch a game since the vibe was chill. Keep in mind the everyday happy hour is only for the cocktails: the cocktails are $6 and we all enjoyed ours. I got a No. 22 and really liked it. If you don't drink, you can also make the cocktails to mocktails too. Before coming here, I had once been to the next door ice cream place Churn before, but this was my first time coming to Windsor, and I didn't even realize they served the Churn ice cream too for desert! Second time at Windsor was a fantastic experience. We came around 5 on a Sunday. The restaurant was surprisingly busy so we sat at the bar. Carlos, our server was personable and attentive. I tried a couple beers before choosing on a blonde. The cocktail menu is extensive. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which had all the right ingredients including caramelized onions and steak sauce. For dessert we shared a peanut butter sundae from adjacent churn (my favorite valley ice cream shop). It's super cool you can order ice cream from the restaurant. Overall great experience. I'm reluctantly giving Windsor only three stars, because I can tell that they serve a creative menu with quality food, but I must hold them accountable for some missteps. I knew nothing about this restaurant before trying it for the first time, but I was in the area and decided to pop in. The place was busy but I instantly found a free spot at the bar, as I was dining solo. I had called earlier since this was a Friday prior to a national holiday on Saturday, so I wanted to make sure they were open. It was nearly noontime, so I was still considering breakfast/brunch fare, but they informed me that brunch was only a weekend thing. The regular menu still looked enticing, so I decided lunch would do fine. I was eyeballing the Reuben and the Porkwich, but settled on the lighter choice of the Banh Mi White Fish Sandwich. I ended up being a bit disappointed in the food. Let me say that the flavor of the soy-honey glaze on the halibut was delicious and the bread was soft and pillowy. However, I could not detect a hint of spice, even though it says the sandwich has sambal mayo on it. Honestly, I could barely detect the soy-honey glaze and one side of the bread had no dressing on it whatsoever. I think the kitchen failed in its execution here... without a decent slather of the sambal mayo or enough of the soy-honey glaze, what could have been a delicious dining experience was instead a very bland sandwich. Deduct one star. I tried to course correct by asking for Tabasco, which the bartender readily provided. That improved things slightly. So I asked for soy sauce, figuring that would elevate this otherwise underseasoned, underdressed sandwich. The bartender said they only had fish sauce, which I said would be fine. Then he brought me malt vinegar, which I pointed out to him wasn't fish sauce at all. He just shrugged. I made do with this condiment but this was nowhere near the sandwich it could have been, and the bartender's inability to empathize that this menu item was subpar was not helpful. Deduct another star. So, I'm not knocking the menu, the service, or the atmosphere. It was happy hour on a holiday weekend and quite busy, so maybe that was a factor. I would like to come back and try some of the other tasty-looking entrees, or even stop in for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. But I have to say that my initial experience with Windsor fell short. read more

My first time ordering Windsor on Uber Eats and it was worth every dollar. While some items weren't my personal favorite, the main items were so good. The Windsor Chicken Sammie and the grilled chicken kabobs are an easy 5/5--incredibly moist, flavorful, and well-portioned. Plus the Fattoush salad with that dressing was absolutely amazing for you olive lovers. The devil egg dip, as oddly as this sounds, was overflavored. It's a great concept and I'm sure somebody would love it, just not me. Now for the Mac and cheese, it's hard to get a good one while dining out. But, at least I could tell there was seasoning on the pasta. Maybe some onion and garlic powder is what I tasted? I checked out Windsor and Churn on a Saturday around noon, during their happy hour! Amazing deals for their drinks! and even though it was packed, the vibe was honestly so good. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were amazing--super kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The cocktail drinks were really well done, definitely a highlight. What a gem. I came here looking for a 'gastropub' experience and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Picnic Kebabs and the Cheddar Fondue, and both were delicious. The ambiance was great, and they have a lovely patio area that would be perfect on a nice evening. I stopped by during happy hour, and the cocktails were only $6 before 5PM, which was an added bonus and I was happy to see the zero proof cocktails. I recommended this place to my coworkers for our team holiday get together as I had it bookmarked for a while and it was near a nonprofit that we volunteered at. Our table was reserved and ready to go for us on the patio. The patio was really nice, and we were happy with the space that we had. I ordered the Picnic Kebabs and an Arnold Palmer. Since the lemonade is fresh, it was very good! With the kebabs you get a skewer of chicken, pork, shrimp, and farm vegetables with harissa aïoli, gold sauce, hummus, and grilled pita. It was tasty and I loved the gold sauce, especially. The veggie and shrimp skewer were my favorites! Quite a few of my coworkers ordered the Windsor Chicken Sammie, as that was recommended as the most popular dish. One of my coworkers received his Sammie without the chicken on it! Our server was on it and she was somewhat embarrassed. The manager didn't come to take it away from the table and redo the sandwich, but came out a few minutes later, with the chicken on a plate. The manager just expected my coworker to plop it on his naked sandwich. No apology, and no accommodations were done by the manager for the error or the inconvenience! Celebrating our giant college boy's 21st birthday, we made a reservation at Windsor through their website which uses a Toast reservation system. I had indicated our special occasion on the reservation, and our table was ready when we arrived a few min before 4 on Wednesday. Nate was one of our servers, and he was fun and outgoing. A small table placard recognized the birthday and so did the servers. After being carded for the first time, son asked a few questions about the cocktail menu and draft beer choices. At Nates suggestion, husband ordered only a taster of the smoky beer of the moment, which tasted to me like a foul combination of Budweiser and smoked salmon. Pass. No one at out table wanted a pitcher of that, so he settled on a blonde ale. Son ordered a tropical banana dark rum drink and I went with a girly pink gin item. Happy hour till 5 included $6 cocktails and 32 oz pitchers. Food isn't discounted but the drinks are a steal! Appetizers were corn dog pups with crispy pickles and a pile of sweet potato fries. Wow, they sure know how to do appetizers here, the corn dogs were gobbled up. The pickle slices appeared to be dredged in mostly cornmeal, a flaky crunchy outside with the familiar cornmeal texture. Sweet fries were very crisp also, an excellent version considering I order them out often. There were also burgers all around with the men having bacon cheese burgers, one with the steak sauce and onions on the side. Both had very nice crunchy regular potato french fries. Burgers were cooked medium and medium well. The medium was a little pinker than expected but still all devoured. The griddled onions turned out to be a richly caramelized big hit at our table, we all loved them. I thought they complimented my pastrami burger nicely. Husband even used some of the A1 like steak sauce which he asked for on the side. I ordered the burger special, a smash patty with pastrami on top, cheese and Russian dressing. Wowza even with a lettuce wrap this burger rocked! The horseradish in the dressing is noticeable and delicious. So much better than Thousand Island! I chose the kale side salad as my side instead of more sweet potato fries, and regretted it. Although the kale salad has yummy almonds and dried cranberries, the baby kale they used was very stemmy. I picked out the good stuff and left the leaves and stems. At the conclusion of our meal, we discovered the postcard on the table was good for anything birthday boy wanted from the ice cream shop Churn next door. Ordered right at the table, he received an everything but the kitchen sink sort of sundae, with chocolate and peanut butter ice cream, peanut sauce and whipped cream. I must relay the fantastic quality of the ice cream itself. Toppings aside, this is an super rich decadent ice cream. I would love to come back and try some more delectable flavors at Churn. The tag team servers were awesome, each one very knowledgeable and they kept up with my water refills. We were given a good opportunity to order again at last call for happy hour, which I appreciate although we did not. My regret is I took no photographs to commemorate the occasion, or document the food and drink we consumed. But everyone was so kind and recognized the birthday, I think it was a special evening deserving timely recognition. I had a lovely dinner here. I got the 3 shrimp skewers. You can choose from beef or pork or shrimp or mix. I got only shrimp and it was packed w lovely shrimp on it. I took some home and it was divine. I loved our waiter. I enjoyed a jalapeno margarita as well. It was perfect. My date had the ribs and I took home his extra ribs and I snagged his biscuit when he wasn't looking! The ribs were good and meaty and slathered in bbq sauce. The home made biscuits were so good and they brought whipped butter. My date had a white Chardonnay that was excellent. He shared his wine with me and it was very good. This is not our first rodeo here, and it will not be our last. **The Service** Melissa and Emerald were an absolute delight, attentive, warm, and funny without trying too hard. Melissa's recommendations were spot-on, and her energy was the kind of bubbly that doesn't require a sparkling wine to achieve (though we had that too). 10/10 would be waited on again. **The Patio** Shaded, dog-friendly, and genuinely pleasant. The only thing missing? Some fans. It's Phoenix, people. The sun does not negotiate. To be fair, we WERE dining in the middle of an unprecedented March heat wave. **The Drinks** This cocktail program is serious. The No. 45 (benchmark bourbon, aperol, grapefruit, lemon) has no business being this good. Refreshing, balanced, not punching you in the face with bourbon, just a well-executed, high-quality drink. Easily one of my favorites in all of PHX. Go order it. I'll wait. The No. 129 (sage gin, apricot, strega, spiced apple syrup) had me wildly curious on paper. In the glass? Genuinely delicious, but a bit of an identity crisis. The sage is basically in witness protection and the apple is whispering when it should be talking. Still enjoyed it, probably won't revisit. The No. 17 (cucumber vodka, green tea, fresh cucumber, mint) surprised me. I'm not a cucumber girlie, but this won me over. Strong cucumber aroma, subtle cucumber taste. Refreshing without the vegetable overstaying its welcome. The No. 2 (vodka, peach nectar, peach liqueur, cava) was the one miss for me. The peach teases you on the nose and then ghosts you in the glass. Ends up feeling more wine spritzer than cocktail. Pass. **The Food** The Egg Man sandwich is not playing games. Two eggs over easy (we went over hard), avocado relish, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, spinach, and sambal aioli on toasted brioche with grilled cheddar potatoes on the side. Most places cook over hard eggs until they're basically a hockey puck, but these were sitting right on that perfect edge between over medium and over hard. The sambal aioli is insanely good, spicy but not reckless about it. The avocado relish adds this cool, creamy contrast that keeps everything grounded. The brioche bun was perfectly eggy and buttery without going soggy, which is honestly harder to pull off than it sounds. The grilled cheddar potatoes deserve their own paragraph. Cheesy, creamy, topped with toasty breadcrumbs, they are essentially the best version of funeral potatoes (IYKYK). We grabbed a grilled sausage on the side and it had the kind of smoky, juicy, fennel-forward punch that made me briefly consider ordering a second one. The fennel seeds bring just enough of an herby bite to keep it interesting without being weird about it. **The Finale** Churn's Vietnamese coffee ice cream. I am not dramatic when I say this: it delivered. Coffee ice cream usually tastes like it heard about coffee once at a party. This one actually showed up, strong, warm spice, not cloying, perfectly capturing that Vietnamese coffee character. A worthy ending. **The Bill** Here's the part that actually broke my brain a little. The prices are way better than they have any right to be in this economy. Craft cocktails, quality ingredients, food that's clearly made with some intention, and you walk out not feeling like you need to take out a small loan? In 2026? Respect. Bottom line: Come for the numbered cocktails, stay for the Egg Man and the patio vibes. Just bring a personal fan. read more

I had a happy hour coupon for a free drink with food purchase (happy hour times only). Windsor's happy hour unfortunately only goes until 5pm but I did make it in time and snagged a seat at the bar. IT WAS BUSY!!! A Tuesday evening, almost every seat was full. Valerie was one of the people working at the bar area and was nice. I ordered a No. 124 cocktail which had tequila, ruby port and some citrus ingredients. It didn't end up being my favorite. The food however was on point (as always). I ordered the cheddar fondue platter and everything was perfect. The cheese was warm and flavorful, the pretzel was perfectly salted and warm. The apples and sausage were also nice additions. Stopped in for a drink to end date night. I've been on the hunt for my new favorite espresso martini, so of course, that's what I ordered. They didn't have Chopin, so I went with Belvedere instead. When the martini arrived, it had a thick layer of foam, not my thing. One sip in, though, it was tart, sour, and had a strange flavor. I asked what kind of espresso they used, and the bartender said, "Actually, we don't use espresso, we use a chocolate coffee concentrate. If you want real espresso, we get it from the coffee shop next door and charge extra." Wait, what? I asked for an espresso martini--no one mentioned there were options or an upcharge. I've been coming here for a while! Amazing food, killer service and great atmosphere. Everyone is always kind, knowledgeable about the menu and fun! Talking to one of my servers, I found that the kitchen is practically a scratch kitchen. I'm so tired of these restaurants heating up the same food from a distributor and plating it their own way. The burger of the month is always soooo good, and keeps me coming back. Their drinks lean towards the craft cocktail side, so I feel very fancy having a couple with dinner. All in all I can rely on a consistent expirence at Windsor, and the few times the ball has been dropped, management has taken incredible care of me. I ordered the Reuben Burger, the special of the day, and it was outstanding. Flavorful, perfectly grilled, with exactly the right texture and taste. You can tell they take their craft seriously. Stopped by on a Thursday afternoon for happy hour every day from opening until 5pm) with my coworkers, totaling a party of 7. Despite how lively the atmosphere was, it wasn't so crowded such that our large party had to wait to be seated. We had multiple waiters attentively serve us throughout our visit. Their happy hour deal includes all cocktails, wine, glasses, and beers on the menu! Wow! Note, no foods are included. Collectively, we got a Coor's beer and the following cocktails (and I personally got to sip off of everyone's, except the beer): No. 17 - very refreshing, somewhat sweet No. 22 - sweet but strong No. 88 - very floral, not very sweet No. 127 - sweet like a punch but still packs a punch, HIGHLY recommend for those who like fruity, sweet cocktails No. 124 - sweet, somewhat spiced, tastes like could be a Christmas cocktail No. 138 - tropical but bitter Some of us also ordered food, but I don't know what they got and I didn't try any, so I can't comment on it. Who doesn't love an Impossible burger? I know I do, and Windsor sure makes a tasty one! The service was quick, friendly, and had great recommendations for a drink that I loved. Very cozy place and can see myself returning even though it's quite a journey from my house. Definitely a spot I would have my West Phoenix friends meet me at for brunch, lunch, cocktails, or dinner. read more

We had a great time at Windsor. The cocktails were really good, my favorite being #88! It was really light and refreshing. We shared the Loaded chips and Cheddar fondue. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the loaded chips were! I did the burger as my entree and it definitely hit the spot! The patio is pretty big and dog friendly so that is always great! read more
