    Great barrel aged bourbons.

Every time I go to Phoenix I enjoy Phoenix City Grill for Happy Hour. The food and drinks are always great. I enjoy the neighborhood vibe. The level of service in the bar area is better than I ever remember with the new lady's working the bar. They are much faster, attentive, listen better to your requests and fulfill. They also make great suggestions where the guys were more of order takers. Glad this place has continued to make improvements in staff and continues with great food options. Emma provided incredible service tonight.

After years of wondering, I finally checked out Phoenix City Grille for a weeknight dinner. I had no idea what to expect from an interior- while situated next to a Pizza Hut this is more upscale than I thought. Definitely an environment where you might want to reflect on what you're wearing before popping by. The menu is odd; you're looking at braised short rib one moment and a turkey sandwich the next, but the place was packed with what looked like a solid group of regulars. We ordered the aforementioned turkey sandwich and an crispy eggplant sandwich. Both came with shoestring fries. Both sandwiches were good, the turkey sandwich was a little pepper-forward, so if that's not your scene make sure you ask for no peppers! The crispy eggplant sandwich's flavor profile is herbed goat cheese and tomato jam- I don't think it matters what else is in the sandwich as those will be the only two things you'll taste. However, they both taste good. Service was friendly, the food was a little slow coming out. Overall, if you're local- definitely check this place out to judge for yourself.

We decided to have dinner at PCG after having a few drinks with friends next door at Still and Barrel, their sister restaurant. The food and service were great, and if you're a whiskey lover, this is a good place to check out! They have an awesome collection! Definitely recommend stopping by!

This place is so unassuming on the outside... inside has dim and moody lighting, a huge bar, lots of space for tables and booths... it's a vibe. I got a slice of the green chile cornbread because IT IS NATURALLY GLUTEN FREE HOLY MOLY! No idea why but I won't question it. Guys, it was so frickin good. So moist. Nice pieces of corn. Great flavor. I didn't need the butter, but used a little to elevate it just a little more. Yummmmm. I also got the summer salad with salmon skewer - the salmon, I wished I had more of it. It was so tender and cooked perfectly! The salad was otherwise refreshing with various fruit and tangy cheese and a lemon mint vinaigrette to tie it altogether. It was great with the bread, made it a complete meal, otherwise the salad on its own wouldn't have been as satisfying. My boyfriend got the large PCG pasta, which didn't look that large lol but he was full after eating the entire bowl! He loved the cream sauce, two thumbs up. Good service, it was pretty quick!

Went to city grille for an event. I chose tortilla soup and salad. We had our own private room and servers which was nice. The food was good. The salad had a good amount of chicken and sold dressing.

One of my favorite spots for happy hour or dinner. Always consistent and always adding great specials Last night went for anniversary dinner. Service was terrific as always. Had the peppercorn steak for entree and it was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. For starters we did the green chile cornbread which is a favorite. We also got the eggplant bites which may be the best thing on the menu. Lastly had the warm chocolate tort for dessert. Perfect ending to a terrific meal.

One of our go to places. Starts ex with the bacon wrapped shrimp. Always so great. Did the burgers and they really are some of the best. Service was kind of off this particular day... but that won't stop us from returning.

I was brought to Phoenix City Grille by a local today and ended up having a great late lunch. It seems they are open all day which was convenient for us. We arrived around 2 pm, and although the restaurant was still fairly busy, the server was kind enough to seat us in a quieter section toward the back upon request, which I really appreciated. Our server came by quickly and handed us menus, and we ordered the Ramona Farms super food salad, the carne asada tacos, and the blackened mahi mahi daily special. The salad was delicious and came with a Chiltepin-Dijon dressing. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor since it had just a touch of spice that elevated what could have been a simple dish. All of their salad dressings are made in-house, which explains the unique taste and definitely sets it apart. The carne asada tacos were exactly what you would expect: classic, straightforward, and satisfying. The daily fish special, the blackened mahi mahi, was also excellent. It was served medium well with a crisp outer finish, which is exactly how I like it, and came with broccolini, mango salsa, and a red wine reduction that complemented the fish really well. Prices here are surprisingly reasonable considering the quality of the food. You can expect to spend around thirty dollars per person for a drink, an appetizer or salad, and an entrée. I would recommend Phoenix City Grille to anyone looking for a quick, delicious meal with great value. A very solid find.

Amazing food and pleasant ambiance! Came here with my son and husband for a Saturday lunch. Was not busy at all. They've been around 25+ years but somehow neither of us had tried it before! They have a huge alcohol selection too if you're into that. My husband got a bd on cheeseburger and I got the crispy eggplant sandwich. I loved the arugula and goat cheese on mine, my husband said his burger was one of the best he's had. We enjoyed our fries too, super thin fries and very crispy. My son enjoyed a couple fries too! Service was good and fast as well. Glad we found this spot finally, we will return!

Ask the Community - Phoenix City Grille

    Is this place dog friendly?

Patio yes, but patio not really being used during the heat.

I noticed the Brioche buns on the burgers has changed recently.... they don’t seem to be home made. Is this a permanent change?

Jignesh, Those were just temporary. We had run out of our normal order and had to substitute some…

Should I make a reservation for a Saturday evening dinner?

    Absolutely!! Super busy place

    Is this place kid friendly?

I honestly don't know but I think (and feel) that during the day for lunch they are. At night it's more of an adult vibe/atmosphere but I'm sure kids are still welcome. I'm not sure if they have a kid menu.

And just because someone's Italian or, Italian-American, from a big city or a certain part of the country doesn't mean they do either. (Lol) Pizzeria Bianco is one of my favorite joints in Phoenix. Chris Bianco has become a national celebrity, a point of pride for Phoenicians, yet somehow remains as humble as his restaurants. The Town & Country location leans hard into that urban-chic vibe. The bar, with its old relics and faded photos, reminds me of a North Jersey front porch in the middle of summer. On this day, I went with my usual: the Wiseguy pizza - smoked mozzarella, spicy sausage, and sweet onions. Some homemade bread and a plate of olives got things started. I washed it all down with a Chianti. Dessert? Uh...yeah. Bianco's tres leches cake is fresh, ridiculously good, and the best I've had. The menu is limited, but focused. Every time I stop in, I tell myself I'm finally going to order something different. Every time, I fold. Great food. Cool vibe. Wonderfully attentive, consistent staff. State buono, Bianco & Team!

It was the best octopus I've had in a while, the char flavor and slight crisp was amazing. We enjoyed the creamy sauce, artichokes, and other veggies that came with this dish. The cauliflower and golden beets were incredible too. The chef told us that the Japanese sweet potato was one of the popular dishes, but out of everything we ordered, it was surprisingly my least favorite. I have never had an artichoke appetizer like this before - the artichoke was lightly fried with chips, chimichurri sauce and buttermilk - the texture was meaty and the flavor was creamy with a refreshing kick. The cioppino was good too. Again, love the texture - even though it was a soup, the fried leek really added flavors and crunchiness to the dish. And the seafood was really fresh. The bread was also airy. Their service was also excellent! The staff were friendly and immediately noticed that we needed a to-go box even though we didn't request it.

Given…read morethe glowing reviews, beautiful Instagram presence, and higher price point, we walked in with high expectations. Three of the four of us cook regularly and host dinners, so we all pay attention to food, service, and the overall dining experience--though we each have very different tastes. Interestingly, we all left with about the same impression. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The décor is warm, inviting, and immediately makes you feel like you're in for something special. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, although there were a few service hiccups that affected the experience. We started with cocktails. All of them were good, but each seemed just slightly out of balance. I ordered the OG Margarita on our server's recommendation, and while I'm admittedly picky about margaritas, this one was noticeably too sweet. The seasonal menu sounded exciting, especially since they emphasize using fresh, in-season ingredients. Our server insisted on us trying the Tomato Board. At $40, which was the most expensive appetizer on the menu, we expected something very memorable. It featured several varieties of tomatoes (including a surprisingly delicious pickled green tomato), a light and airy whipped mozzarella, and a single long piece of focaccia. Everything tasted fresh, and the whipped mozzarella was the standout--we'd never had anything quite like it. Unfortunately, with only one piece of bread, we had to order another just so everyone could enjoy it. Good? Absolutely. Worth $40? None of us thought so. We also ordered the escargot, which was delicious, though it's hard to describe five pieces as "family style." For our entrees, we ordered the burger, the sausage with potato latke, and what we thought was the lamb and mussels special. At first we were going to order the pork belly noodles instead of the sausage, but our server thought it would be too many noodle dishes, so we happily took his recommendation to get the sausage. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication, and the pork belly noodles were brought instead of the special we were most excited to try. When we pointed it out, he acknowledged the mistake but he wasn't quick to offer a resolution, which left us in an awkward spot where we just decided to keep it. Ironically, the pork belly noodles ended up being our least favorite dish. The pork belly was overly chewy and quite salty, while the noodles were bland and seemed just slightly undercooked. The fresh mint was a nice touch, but it wasn't enough to save the dish. The sausage with potato latke, yogurt sauce, and pickled red cabbage was surprisingly excellent. The flavors were balanced, the portion size was generous, and it ended up being one of our favorites. The true star of the evening, though, was the burger. We split it four ways, and every single one of us commented on how good it was. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, topped with melty Gorgonzola and a vanilla bean jam that married beautifully together. We used every last bite of the warm bun to soak up what was left. Overall, we'd give the food about a 7/10. Here's what took an otherwise 4/5 star experience down to a 3. The air conditioning wasn't working on a 115-degree day. But I'm not lowering my rating because mechanical issues happen. At first it wasn't noticeable because it was still cooler than outside, but as dinner went on we were all visibly uncomfortable, passing around my hand fan. Only then did our server mention that the A/C had been out. You come here for an experience and if you know upfront a patrons experience will be affected you are under obligation to tell them but no one mentioned it when we arrived or made any effort to acknowledge the inconvenience or tried to make up for our discomfort in any way. Persephen clearly has talent in the kitchen and a beautiful space, but when you position yourself as a premium dining experience, every detail matters. We enjoyed parts of the meal, especially the burger, but overall the experience didn't quite live up to the hype. For us, 3 out of 5 stars feels like a fair rating.

Wow. All I can is what a restaurant! Came here on a Wednesday night 3 weeks before Christmas and…read moreit was a vibe. Secluded upstairs dining area with heaters available. Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!

A beautiful view of the Camelback Mountains. We had a reservation but decided on sitting upstairs, instead. I love that the hostess' are very nice about giving you the options. I have been going to this restaurant since 2018 for business lunches, nice dinners, a company Christmas party-Upstairs. iI is my go to and I highly recommend Flint to others.

We had reservations, were greeted and seated immediately. We decided to share tapas to allow the opportunity to sample a wider variety of dishes. Happy hour menu provided a great opportunity at a reasonable price. We order hummus and peta bread, olives with almonds and a couple of church music IPAs. The beers and olives arrived in a few minutes and the hummus about ten minutes later. Loved the red pepper flavor of the hummus. Beers were cold and refreshing. Next we decided to try the honey saffron and sumac Socca. It was unique and delicious. The ingredients truly complement each other, with the sumac bring a tart flavor to the honey saffron. We also tried the crispy eggplant with tzatziki sauce which was a standout, one of the best bite of the evening. Our last two dishes we selected were the K4 meatballs with parmigiana in a wine sauce and the grilled octopus. The octopus was okay but not as good as it was last time, too many white beans and octopus texture was off. The meatballs were excellent with bold flavors. The atmosphere was quiet initially but the restaurant filled up and got busy about 15 minutes later. Love the open kitchen and eclectic decor. Our server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for a unique dining experience before a show downtown! Enjoy!

There's a live jazz band that plays on the second floor Thursday-Saturday nights, and I was surprised that the volume was not overpowering at all even sitting right in front of them. Star dishes for me (in no particular order)-- 1. Miso Black Cod 2. Woodfired Octopus 3. K4 Copper State Prime Ribeye 4. Japanese Sweet Potato I can't say enough good things about my fave dishes. There's an Asian-inspired flavor profile--savory, slightly sweet, and full of umami. The carrot cake is absolute chef's kiss as well~ not too sweet and is a great portion to share between two people.

But this restaurant has a full range of menu items and a complete bar. Not to mention live music while we were there. With some guidance from our server Terri, We ordered caipirinha's, a beef empanada, pork empanada, and shared the arepa. Wow. The flavors, the crunch, the depth. Wow. And for dessert, the gelato empanadas. We will not only be back, we are bringing friends

They'll also validate parking at the garage. We came for dinner before a show at the Mortgage Matchup Arena (which is just a quick 0.5 mile walk over). Happened to hit happy hour, which was just a few dollar savings, but nice. We tried the following: -Empanada Pabellon with Pernil: loved the plantains inside mixed the pork! -Empanada Colombiana Beef: good -Pollo and mango tostones: the tostones itself were a bit tough to chew on -Ceviche mixto: I've never had fried calamari with ceviche but it was nice and refreshing mixed with it! -Piña Tiradito: presentation was lovely and tasted just as great! I can never taste the fruit or make out the flavors for ciders and I'm a sucker for anything guava so was excited for the Sazon guava hibiscus cider, and while it was nice, sadly couldn't make out the flavors. Overall, cute space with bites to share and we'll be back as the burritos sounded good as well.

When I sat at the bar, I immediately got service from the bartender with a smile. The booze selection was very limited. I paid $21 for a Woodford Rye on the rocks. You can buy an entire bottle for $35 at your local grocery store. There was a nice clear cube I suppose. We ordered the cajun rubbed wings. We receieved six wings and were charged $18. I said that it was happy hour and the bartenders said that they gave me the regular order of wings anyway because they did not give me a HH menu. Apparently on HH (and if you possess a HH menu) you only get three wings. The bottom line is that the wings were chewy and tough and the Togarashi Ranch tastes like feet. We asked for regular ranch and they brought out miracle whip. The Tomahawk Pork chop sounded great, but after the wing issues, we bailed to cut our losses. The friendly bartenders did reduce my wing pricing to match the HH menu. The service was actually quite good and I like the folks behind the bar. I just don't like the way they run the restaurant. HH food is supposed to be a better value - not portions cut in half. The Togarashi Ranch is either a poor recipe or badly executed. Everything is wildly overpriced. I suppose if your traveling on an expense account, it doesnt matter. If you're spending hard earned dollars, go to a restaurant - not a hotel. Five stars for the folks behind the bar. Zero for management / food.
