I was looking for a cozy cocktail spot on a Tuesday evening. I read other reviews of the Other Bar and they were very positive. It's right off Bethany Home and I pulled into the front where there were no available spots. I'd seen on another review that they had a lot in the back so I found that and parked but then couldn't find the entrance from the back so I walked around. As soon as I walked in I realized I had come on the wrong night (for me) because they had trivia going. I sat at the bar and looked over the cocktail menu. The drink names were cute and funny and I landed on the sucker punch which was supposed to have Tito's but later found out they didn't have Titos...the bartender didn't even tell me he used Pearl vodka I. The first drink until i ordered a Tito's and soda and he said they don't have Tito's. So that is why I gave 4 stars. The trivia looked fun and some players next to me asked me to help them out. The drink was good and there was a nice neighborly vibe. It was a cool spot maybe I'll try again when they don't have trivia. I did leave through the back to the parking lot. It's way in the corner and hard to see. read more

Outstanding! The vibe Is on point from the beginning....at least for us. We just wanted comfy chairs and good food. Right away the warmth and of the staff was available along with good drinks and fun trivia games. We were there till close. The wings were amazing. And the fry foods - including fries and wings kept us happy. And whenever it wasn't right....they raised above it.... Nothings else I can ask for. With service like this, it cannot go wrong. 7/13/24: so glad we finally decided to try The Other Bar (inside Luci's Marketplace). Excellent service, decent prices, happy every day from 3 - 6, what more do you need? ;-) Aside from the parking in the front (off Bethany Home), there is a large lot in the back. We arrived shortly after opening (3 o'clock) and there were only two patrons beside us. Two young ladies for the staff, both pulling double duty as bartenders and servers. Thank you, Paige & Portia, for the exceptional service and smiling faces. My sister enjoyed her brussels sprout appetizer (gross), while I tasted the tater towers. They weren't the towers I was expecting, but they were very good: well seasoned, crispy outside, moist inside, with a tangy chipotle cream. I think they needed more of the green stuff on the side, though -- whatever it was, it was a good accompaniment. My sister ordered the $12 Ruff Rider cocktail. We both were shocked when it was delivered, because it was twice the size we were expecting. Considering the happy hour cost was $10, it was a tasty beverage and money well spent. The Figgy Piggy Burger was cooked longer than the medium sister requested but she said she would get it again. Her fries could have been a bit more crispy IMHO. The Daily Grind I ordered was good with plenty of meat protein. I was happy to see the ciabatta bun was not overly thick and therefore did not overpower the sandwich's flavor. The potato salad was a pretty hefty servicing for a side, plus the dill in the mixture added a nice flavor. We will definitely make it back to The Other Bar, their breakfast / brunch menu looked just as wide ranging as their lunch / dinner menu -- and just as tasty. read more

Service is awesome. If Lauren is there, you will be well taken care of. Stephen handles the wine selection, and does an admirable job. We only go for boozy breakfast, and have not been disappointed. I think they have some of the best bacon anywhere in town. The Spanish omelet is amazing. And the bar make great cocktails. Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice is quite the treat for breakfast. Especially when you add some Vitamin G(in) to go in the grapefruit juice. We really love this place. read more

I like this place a lot. There is no pomp and circumstance. There are no frills. What they do have is friendly attentive people behind the bar and some pretty good food. We had the wings and a pizza. As per usual, we were high maintenance and ordered our pizza the way we wanted it - "no tomato sauce, add pesto, and make sure the dough is thin". There was no whining about substitutions and they followed our instructions perfectly. The crust was crispy with a little chew on the inside. The ingredients were high quality and I am guessing they make the dough fresh in house. It is easy to park and you don't have to fight anyone to get a table. This place is perfect for meeting someone after work when you don't have a plan. read more

We went last night because a friend of ours was playing music here. They have a good happy hour and so we had the deviled eggs and a couple of beers. We also decided to have a cheese pizza and and added arugula. It was really good. Everything I saw people eating looked very good. This is such a quaint places and there were quite a few of us just hanging out enjoying the music. They have live music Thursdays through Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30. Our server was great and we definitely will go back. It feels like a really sweet neighborhood place to be. read more

Oh dear. We bought a house and it's walking distance from The Other Bar. This is great because it'll save me an Uber fare when I want to meet up with friends for a few drinks. This is not great because, well, $5 cocktails during happy hour. My poor liver. The Other Bar is absolutely adorable. From the large comfortable green chairs to the cute art on the wall, you'd feel perfectly comfortable flouncing in wearing a sundress and having a drink (preferably coffee in the AM and a cocktail in the PM). Atmosphere during happy hour seems to be lively 30ish professionals. These are not $5 well drinks either - these are $5 well-crafted themed cocktails, with flavor and flare. I've tried several and wasn't disappointed in any of them. There's food available as well, and in the mornings they open the wall between The Other Bar and Luci's, so you can have your Acai bowl in the AM and then return to the chair in the PM for your martini. Sunday morning brunch usually results in a long wait. We got lucky as when we arrived there was a long line to order at Luci's but we were able to snag a table here in the Other Bar without waiting. The wait person was very busy but we received water and we were able to order drinks and food in short order. She was very personable and made our brunch a great experience. I ordered the Eggs a la Nanette (or something like that) and it was delightful. Both filling and flavorful. I also ordered regular coffee and it was fresh and fantastic. Parking is available in a private parking area but you may have to walk a little if all the spaces out front are full. Definitely a great alternative breakfast space if you want to try somewhere new. I come here occasionally for happy hours or brunches and they're always really great. Sometimes maybe a little understaffed, so you might wait a bit sometimes- but the atmosphere of the place is great and the staff is super friendly/welcoming. This is a new spot that's part of Luci's but has a different bar menu. I've been a few times for happy hour. I LOVE the drink they have called down and dirty (I think) it's basically a super briney martini. Friends have tried their other cocktails and they've been good as well. They have a variety of appetizers on for 7$ and the cocktails are the same for happy hour. They also have house wines on it. They have a nice little patio spot that's looks out onto Bethany Home road. Not a lot of space there but it's nice when the weather is nice. It hasn't been too busy anytime I've been-there's not a wait to be seated. I've tried the tots and the Brussels sprouts in terms of food. Both were tasty. This is a nice chill little spot great for getting together with friends or just hanging out solo. It's also not super loud which is nice. read more

This is such a great hideaway. I had no idea there was a bar in the back of Luci's. We generally hit Happy Hour with the sisters and because it's a quiet place, it's perfect for an after work crowd if you are tired of the "noise" at your office. As fans of Luci's we were excited to try this cute little side bar they have created. First off they have a Happy Hour EVERYDAY from 3-6. It is def a bargain. The food is a bit spendy but it is very good quality. Our first experience was great but our second not so much. We mentioned it to them and the third time we were in they actually apologized for the bad service previously. I feel that is exactly what customer service is about. You will spend a bit here if you are not coming during happy hour but it is a relaxing place to sit and chill with some good friends. read more

A friend and I met here for happy hour and dinner and I was overall impressed! I like that it's smaller and more relaxed to sit and enjoy with a friend in a great central location. The cocktails are interesting and some are strong (which isn't a problem!). I was really happy with the food menu options... I'll be going back to try more! I love Luci's so I wanted to try this place. We were slow to get service but they were busy so we waited I asked the server about GF options and ordered gluten free. When I got my food, it was breaded so I asked to verify. It was not gluten free. Not even the bun. Luckily, I did not take a bite. They replaced it but the quality of the gluten free was not good. The bun tasted stale. It was disappointing. I had such high hopes because I love Luci's. They did end up taking care of the meal. So service wise, they did everything they could. read more

For table service I want a glass mug for coffee, not a to go cup.
