Was looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here. High marks for ambience. Drinks were good. But... as an appetizer we ordered the gnocchi and meatballs. The meatball was cold! I had the lasagne which was recommended and good but the salmon was so tough and hard to cut. The vegetables were cold. When we made the reservation it asked if we were celebrating anything. I marked anniversary. Nothing to acknowledge it. I mentioned to the waiter (not his fault) about out issues. A manager removed the salmon and appetizer from the bill which was nice. But in the end, it was a disappointing anniversary dinner.

Food was great as always. We opted for the antipasto to share (which is a great value and super filling, probably could feed 6-8 easily) and the meatball with gnocchi in honor of meatball day. Pasta combo was my go to choice for dinner once I heard the pasta selections for the night. The gnocchi is out of the world. It's fluffy and very freshly made. Tonight it was very loud in the restaurant, not fault to Avanti, but to the loud party to our right. Other than that, it's a classic place with great service and heavy pours and portions.

We just love it here. From the minute you walk in... you are take. To an era of class! And awesome food and service. Had the privilege of Sergio taking care of us . He is one of the best in the business!! We both started with different salads. Honestly they are huge. May share one next time. Husband had the cannelloni. Stuffed with meat and spinach. Topped with Bechemel and red sauce. I had the special of sole stuffed with crabmeat Francais style. Just incredible. Bottle of wine. This is how we do Tuesday night. Can't wait to come back.

You wouldn't be able to tell that this is fine dining restaurant based off the rest of the neighborhood and its parking lot. The interior is definitely a stark contrast compared to the other businesses on the same street. There is a veritable plethora of seating and we were pleased to find that they were set up and ready to go because we arrived right as they opened. The servers are friendly and quite knowledgeable about their dishes. I tried out their eggplant rollatini, salmon, and cannoli. One of the things I noticed was that their water is of lower quality than other waters I've had. The eggplant was dish was quite nice. The salmon tasted good, but I've had better. The vegetables that it came with were amazing. I felt that the cannoli was average. Although not amazing, I felt that the complimentary buttered bread was a nice touch. It was also nice that there's no strict dress code here either. Overall, a slightly above average experience here.

I was seated right away on a Friday night, and was greated by a manager looking fellow that pretended we were fist fighting, randomly. To which I pretended right along with him all the while saying "I always get in fights when I walk into Italian restaraunte." I was seated at a booth and had bread and water right away. I ordered a pasta fagaloi and a Ceasar salad with salmon, and recieved my soup right away! The Ceasar salad and salmon were also very tasty and came to the table in a reasonable amount of time. The hospitality was stupendous. Cheerful atmosphere with a subtle elegance.

Definitely the best Italian I've found so far in AZ!! We went in a large party for thanksgiving & the food really blew us all away. The lamb chops, The Ossobucco, the Lasagna all highly recommended! The service was good, the decor is unique I liked it. Ultimately I wasn't expecting it to be so good because it only had a 4 star- this place is a 5 to me. I think I found a new favorite place for Lasagna! There's a reason why this place has been around for decades. Try them, so good- happy eating!!

Such a great place. Old world Italian vibe meets modern cuisine and taste. This place is a gem for all of you who love classic Italian dishes done right, generously sized, and made with love. The pasta is incredible as well as the selections on this menu. Drinks are generous, and the atmosphere is great. We ordered quite a few dishes. The stand out was the fettuccine Alfredo, and the double pork chop, which were excellent. others at the table had spaghetti and meatballs with sausage, spaghetti with marinara sauce, and extra side of meatballs. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was great.

    Is there a dress code?

There really isn't. You will see very dressed up and you will see casual. It is a nice place so I think personally no shorts and t shirts. ( of ball caps)

    Is there dancing?

No, just a piano player for ambiance.

Sunny's Lounge was in the area, and I had passed by it before, so I decided to stop by on a Saturday night. They have a small parking lot and I was able to find a spot. If you can't find a spot, you can park for free on a side stret. Ambiance (4/5): Dive-ish is a nice way to put it. Small. But also homey and cool. There's a pool table in the corner with some seating that surrounds it. Plus some seating at the bar. Service (5/5): Friendly and attentive service. Which goes a long way. I was greeted promptly, the bartender answered my questions, and he was friendly. Everything I look for at a bar. Food (N/A): I had dinner earlier that night, so I was on a liquid diet, but Sunny's does have a limited menu mainly consisting of snacks and hot dogs. While I didn't try any of the food, there is some creativity with their food options, so I'd like to give them a try next time around. Drinks (4.5/5): While Sunny's is dive-ish, they are known for their cocktails. And they have an interesting list of creative craft cocktails to choose from. Including some tiki drinks that seem to be a collaboration with Undertow, a nearby tiki bar. Perhaps they're owned by the same people? Either way, I liked it. There's sophistication in their cocktails, which I'm always a fan of. Sunny's is a cool spot. My preference would be to go on a weekday, because if you're trying to play pool, one pool table is not enough when there's a crowd.

Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!
