I love this sign that hangs above the door!!

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! I've been coming for years and it is never disappointed me! I asked for a spicy margarita and it was on point. I hate when you ask for a spicy margarita and it's not spicy! Well, this spicy margarita tickled the back of my throat, which is what a spicy margarita is supposed to do! The food is always so flavorful and the atmosphere is cozy but dark. I love love love this place!

We really love this place and have been coming here for years. This visit we arrived around 5 pm Saturday night ready to enjoy a quiet evening in the back at Dick's. We ordered our drinks and bacon wrapped jalapeños and we were good. Then a child comes in with parents asking about the child's menu ( $72 tomahawk) and is that real haha wink wink. They're speaking very loudly like they're the only people there and then romper room arrived: Car seat, blankets, baby, child and 4 or 5 adults who clearly thought they were the only ones in the place. Rude behavior and extremely disruptive but the manager and server were very apologetic. They bought us a round of drinks but I'm thinking Richardson's/R is a better bet if you want a break from the kids. This wasn't the experience we come here for.

Many restaurants struggled during COVID and Dicks was one of them. Last night's HH visit showed us that they have returned to greatness. Our service was fantastic and the food was executed perfectly. We have always loved the menu with the Southhwest flare. HH is really good value and the portions are massive.

Lunchtime with my wife and daughter for the first time. We over ordered as we wanted to try a bunch of things. Our favorites were the Hatch Chili Burger, Onion Rings and the Queso Dip. The Bacon wrapped jalapeños were very spicy. We like spicy but this was too much. The food was great overall and we will be back....but the service was spotty. Let me say everyone was very nice but we had to be seated in the room without the bar and our drinks went dry and I had to hunt someone down. Had to hunt someone down again to pay the bill. It was busy when we first for there but not as busy when we left. Wish someone would have checked on us more.

Came here for dinner expecting a casual hole-in-the-wall kind of spot, but it actually turned out to have quite a cozy, romantic vibe. The server warned us that the draft beer wasn't cold (which was a bit disappointing), so I went with a Cab Sav instead -- surprisingly good choice. The menu is huge, so it took a bit to decide. They also have daily specials -- we tried the fish tacos. The portions are massive, but don't expect to share unless you want to pay an extra $10 "sharing plate" fee, which feels pretty ridiculous. When the food came, it looked impressive, but it was mostly rice, beans, and tortillas -- not much actual meat. The server also pretty much disappeared after dropping the plates. I wanted some Tabasco, waited forever, and eventually just gave up. The atmosphere was nice, but the service and food didn't quite match up to the setting.

Wow. Portion was absolutely absurd. This would be an amazing post hike meal- it seemed a little pricey on the face but when I got it, I understood., 3 eggs, beans, shredded potatoes, pork adovada (pork stewed in a red chili sauce) and a tortilla. Overall I thought this dish was fantastic. Hearty, filling, you might not finish it unless you're a bottomless pit like myself, and the chili sauce was very tasty. Earthy spicy, complex, I only wish the dish brought a touch of acidity into it. Maybe you could get some lime wedges on the side. Aside from that, I didn't think the tortilla was additive, that's the only part of my plate I didn't finish. I had beans and potatoes, I didn't also need a tortilla. Overall it was pretty timely considering it was a full house, servers were attentive and polite. Very positive experience. If you have an appetite, I highly recommend it. Cool vibe, dark and definitely captures the speakeasy feel.

The name fits the restaurant as it's a small bar/restaurant that maybe fits 25 people comfortably, dark, and, has that this odor that either smell unpleasant or mixed with cleaning products. The food was okay, very basic with nothing much to rave about besides big portion. Santa Fe chicken-3.5/5- chicken was overcooked, dried, and just topped with cheese, mushrooms, and a few other things. Stuffed Chimayo chicken- 3.5/5- the chicken breast was missing seasoning, just relying on the stuffed ingredients to add flavor The Caesar salad was the best part of the meal

Super interesting vibe that was very unexpected! It's settled into a strip mall and when you open the door it's a dark but inviting spot with bar seats, tables and a room with more tables off the bar! The menu has a ton of great choices with lots of New Mexico vibes and flavors. I had the burrito with chicken and 1/2 red and 1/2 green chili sauce on top. The portions are HUGE. The burrito took up the entire plate but was nestled on top of rice and beans. Super smoky, grilled flavors and a huge portion to take home. Friend had the eggs Benedict which was also huge and very tasty! They also have a number of taps and a full bar for cocktails.

Dick's is an institution. Their food never fails and you walk out happily full. Wanting to return. Sadly it's been years since my last visit here. But the same as I left it: incredibly good. No frills. Dark upon entering with shadows of light from their candles. Open kitchen with a bar top view immediately to your right. Intimate dining space. Fantastic & attentive service. I won't let years pass before coming back here!

This has been one of our favorite spots for over 5 years. The food is always incredible and the drinks are delicious. The restaurant is tucked away and very cozy. Highly recommend!

Dick's Hideaway has been on my list to try for a long time and it did not disappoint. It's dimly lit, small speakeasy. An upscale dive. The cocktails were not what I was expecting - we ordered prickly pear margaritas and they came in the normal plastic water glasses which was larger and less esthetic than I expected, they were tasty though. For an appetizer we ordered the queso which was really good! There are large chunks of onions and green chilis that I wished were a little more finely cut up. For our meals, we ordered the New Mexico Enchiladas and Carne Adovada. Both were sooo good! I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu!

Loved our most recent visit here. We were walk ins on a Sunday evening, and immediately got a table. Everything was delicious, the Pasta Heidi, Skewers, and even House Salad. We scarfed down everything. Parking on site. No signage or reservations.

I wanted to like it- I was amped to try it- but the reality of our experience fell very short of our hopeful expectations- Visiting the area for vacation, I discovered Dick's Hideaway, via a foodie suggestion on where to find xmas chili dishes! We arrived Tuesday late afternoon, specifically for the brunch menu. We were seated in the back room, which was dimly lit, seemingly for ambiance, but was way far to dim- we had to use our phone flashlights to really look at the menu- Our waiter asked about drinks, but coming post hike we really just wanted waters- waters were brought quickly, but the we didn't see our waiter again for 15mins- no water refill, no food order, just waiting in the dark-(i noticed because I was charging my phone & checking charge levels occasionally) Also, while waiting to order, it was a bit disturbing to realize our seats were next to the only bathroom, which was also located through the kitchen- my husband joked, "I feel like that has to offend some code" Once we finally ordered, I opted for the Chili Relleno & my husband the Richard's combo- while ordering I attempted to ask the waiter about the xmas chili & jalapeno hashbrowns over plain, but he was too quick to leave- though we noticed our order took awhile to get anywhere because as it was hand written, our waiter stopped in the hallway to talk to another staff member & was there for about 7mins- Eventually the food came, well my husband's did- the waiter brought his PIPING HOT METAL PLATE out, put it in front of my husband, with no warning 'hot plate', & my husband had to find out the hard way But my food never came- after the other long waits, I decided to glance at the time, 3:44pm- my husband sat there politely waiting for my food to come- I kept telling him eat while it's hot, but 14minutes later my plate came out- different looking design, no warning, I also found out it was a very piping hot plate- I had asked for chili relleno- one duck & asked what the waiter suggested pork or smoked turkey- he said pork- and then discovered apparently the waiter was so pro-pork that both of my rellenos were stuffed with pork- the relleno itself was awful; I'd say 80% breading, tiny pepper, barely any meat or cheese inside- hashbrowns & beans were scalding hot- I ended up taking them to go because with the plate they were on they weren't cooling down & we had already been there a long time- Hubby's expensive platter didn't match the description; jalapeno benedict, 2 chicken enchiladas, asparagus- he was served chicken in flour tortilla & ham on English muffin (no jalapeno)- Excited for the xmas chili- we both got just green & had to ask for a side of red, that came cold- didn't blend well- Everything overall, for the higher price points were very underwhelming in flavor boldness- needed salt, needed zest, had no profile- Would highly NOT recommend- And at this point, yes you're correct to guess getting boxes & paying took quite a while as well-

There is an EOS in the same center, and I have a sneaky suspicion that's the reason for it lack of parking. Steve I'm back walking out and got a space right near the door. It's kind of cool because the building is raised up almost like it's on up here and there's blue lighting underneath the building at night. When you walk in there is a dining room area in the bar, there is a another large dining room, and when you walk through there there is a different room that is the sushi bar. The sushi bar is so cute with counter seating as well as some seating around the room. The dining room we were in had a glass ceiling, but the shades were pulled. I'm guessing because it was a bright and hot day. Fair are life-size "fish" hanging around the dining room, and what's really great is that the server seem to know what each of these fish is. I asked about a large red one and the server knew immediately that it was an opah. I found it really quite interesting. Our server was very cheerful, knowledgeable, and really on her toes. She was working hard for her money because this place was really packed. And even though she was clearly busy, she managed to be extremely attentive and checked on this often. She immediately brought our water and probably came back for our cocktail orders. We ordered a couple of drinks and I serve her bought us hot sourdough bread with butter. It was really good. Despite not knowing what a sand dab is, after speaking with the server I ended up giving it a try. Sand dabs are a small fish similar to flounder that are delicacy in california. My order came with three sand fans, and it was delicious. It reminded me of swai, which I love but is hard to find in restaurants. It had a wonderful buttery flavor and topped with the beurre blanc with capers, it was delicious. It was hard with a yummy scalloped potatoes and green beans. It was a 10 out of 10 for me. Hubby got the trout almondine with the scalloped potatoes and green beans. His trout was quite large. Both of us were very happy with our choices. We were quite happy with our experience here. There aren't a lot of seafood options in the area, but this is a solid choice. Prices are not terrible either which is another added bonus!

I don't think anything on this menu is really out of this world, but you'll find something that works. The cocktails are not very enticing. The soothing decor and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a delightful meal, especially on an unseasonably hot day. We began our culinary journey with the Larb Mushroom appetizer, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The dish featured succulent oyster mushrooms tossed with roasted rice powder, fresh mint, shallots, cilantro, and a vibrant chili-lime dressing. Each bite was a refreshing explosion of flavors, combining the earthy richness of the mushrooms with the zesty brightness of the dressing. It was light, refreshing, and a perfect precursor to the meal ahead. For her main dish, my wife chose the Pad Z U, an outstanding selection that showcased sautéed broad noodles, crispy fried tofu, and Chinese broccoli, all enveloped in a delectable sweet soy sauce.
