Checked this place out for brunch and was really good, our server was wonderful, very attentive and diligent. Food took a little while to arrive, the huevos rancheros needed a little salt but overall good sauce and the combination with the black beans goes really good together. The only reason I don't give them a 5 stars would be because of the timing it took to arrive and my husband's pancake was little raw and had to send it back, they did fixed and re-did from scratch which was nice.
Our first time at Tesota. We loved everything about the restaurant from the beautiful atmosphere to the staff and the food. If the weather permits, there is a very nice patio but it is along Camelback and the parking lot. Just a heads up, Tesota does not take reservations so plan accordingly. We started at the bar with dirty martinis. Our bartender Taylor was pleasant and followed our instructions on how we like the martinis prepared. They were both icy cold and to the rim. The restaurant was packed and Taylor handled to orders like a true pro. Impressive. Monica the hostess escorted us to our table when available. She was very pleasant as well. We sat at Eric's table who is simply outstanding. Very friendly, efficient and walked us through the menu and answered any questions. I ordered the Salumi pizza -$15 hot coppa . calabrese salumi . serrano jamon . rosemary . calabrian chili. Finally a restaurant that makes a crispy and flavorful pizza! It was delicious. My husband ordered the Seated salmon $30. He said it was cooked perfectly. eight oz . pan seared . spiced rub . grilled lemon . romesco . seasonal vegetable. My friend ordered the Szechuan fried chicken salad. $19 w/ romaine . napa cabbage . jicama . apple . peanut chile crunch. radish . cucumber . carrot . mint . cilantro . cashew vinaigrette. I had a bite and it was very flavorful. The food we ordered was outstanding. We will be back.
This was my first time eating at this restaurant, as I came here for my bookclub meetup. First, the seatings were decently spacious, but it was hot and stuffy. I think the air conditioner was probably not working around our seating area. Second, the food was mid, but it could have been my order. Also, they mixed up our orders a couple of times, but we were a big group, which it's understandable. Will I go again? I'm 50/50 on it.
Great meal but the service and atmosphere really do make it a 5 star. Eric, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, & took all the decision making out from us. You can tell he is a foodie - we appreciated that! Shrimp harissa was awesome...the shrimp were huge! We got the mushroom pizza and a pasta as well. Finished with the upside down pear cake. Perfect meal. Would order it all again. Can't believe it took us so long to get here.

I ordered takeout directly and ended up having a full-blown culinary experience I was not emotionally prepared for. First of all, this place is tucked into a tiny little plaza, and finding the door felt like unlocking a hidden level in a video game. There's also a Changing Hands bookstore right there, which I did NOT expect, but fully appreciated. Bonus points for the private parking lot because I was in full "grab food and disappear" mode. Let me set the scene: I rolled up looking like I had just survived a swim lesson in 2003. Sweatpants, questionable hair, zero regard for society. And you know what? Still had a totally smooth, easy pickup experience. So if you're like me, go anyway. If you know people in the area... maybe brush your hair first. Now, the food. Grilled cabbage: What in the actual magic is this? I did not know cabbage could taste like this. It was charred, slightly crisp but still had bite, layered atop a creamy yellow sauce (I NEED to know what that is), plus something with a little heat (Harrisa?), like not spicy, just a warm background kick, and crispy bits that might've been garlic or onions. There were so many flavors happening I literally had to pause and process my life. Even after sitting in the box for a bit, it held up. I devoured it. Would 100% order again without hesitation. Lamb kofta: Okay, honesty moment, I do not usualy eat the meats and I get weird about doneness. These were dense, juicy, and packed with flavor, but a little too pink/soft/squishy for my personal comfort at first. That said, once I gave them a quick air fryer moment, they were delicious. Flavor-wise? Incredible. Dressing the pita with everythung gave this warm, almost ginger-like heat (I think from the peppers?) that hits just right. The pepperoncinis could not have been your average jar situation, something different about them. Would it be my first pick next time? Probably not. But was it good? Absolutely. Greek salad (small): Perfectly balanced. Like, every bite just worked. Olives, dates, goat cheese, farro, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, nothing overpowering, everything in harmony. The dressing leaned a little tangy, almost vinegar-forward, but it balanced beautifully with the creaminess of the goat cheese and those little hits of sweetness from the dates. And the dates weren't like "oh, here's a date," it was more like "wait... was that a date? thank you." Also held up beautifully overnight in the fridge, no soggy sadness. It felt more like a really well-done side than a full meal, I was genuinely impressed. Overall: I went in expecting "quick pickup dinner" and ended up having a full sensory experience with cabbage as the star of the show (never thought I'd say that in my life). I'm already thinking about what I'm ordering next.
Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was incredible! Great happy hour every day until 6pm and has both drinks and food options. The sweet potato's were surprisingly delicious! But the all around favorite was the peas and carrot pasta. 10/10! Parking was easy, service was great, lots of seating!
I recently visited Tesota with my girls and had a bit of a mixed experience. The location is great it's right on a busy street and conveniently next to a bookstore, which makes it an easy place to stop by. Parking in the restaurant's lot is pretty limited, but there is an overflow lot across the street which helps. The atmosphere inside was relaxing and comfortable, which I appreciated. The service was friendly as well. Our waiter was very nice, although service overall was a little slow. It seemed like they may have been short-staffed, and our waiter was also taking care of a large party at the same time, so that may have played a role. Foodwise, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The pancake was very large, which could be great, but it arrived warm on the close side of Luke warm, rather than hot. I think it would've been much better if it had been brought out right when it was finished. The bacon was a bit inconsistent too some pieces were cooked perfectly while others were undercooked, almost as if they came from two different batches. Overall, the experience just wasn't my personal favorite, so I probably wouldn't return. That said, the location and atmosphere are nice, and others might have a better experience than I did. With a few adjustments especially getting the food out hot and keeping the cooking consistent it could easily be a much stronger visit.
Friends and I visited this location on Saturday, February 28, a little after 11 AM. The scenery is very nice, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. Eric provided excellent service -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful with drink selections and menu recommendations. They offer happy hour every day from 2 PM to 6 PM with both food and drink specials. That's definitely the best time to visit if you're looking to save and enjoy some great deals. On average, a meal with a drink ranges from about $20-$30 or more depending on what you order. We ordered the classic cheeseburger (well done) with wedge fries, the crispy fish sandwich with wedge fries, and the butter pecan pancake served with a side of bacon and a coffee drink. The drink I had that was very good was called newton's fig. Overall, the food and drinks were very good and flavorful. A small tip for future visitors: you may want to request the wedge fries cooked less crispy, as ours were a bit too hard to fully enjoy. Also, make sure the bacon is cooked thoroughly, as some pieces were slightly undercooked. The pancake was 1 big size maybe would be better to to have 2 pancakes per order w: 1 side included. In addition; to make sure all food is brought out hot not warm because all our food was just warm. The restaurant is conveniently located in our plaza and offers both a main parking lot and overflow parking across the street. There are also other nearby stores to enjoy, including a bookstore and a breakfast spot right next door. Overall, we had a good experience with delicious drinks, good food, and friendly service, and we would visit again.
The temperature is always too warm in here but I love the food and the decor. And the happy hr specials are great and go from 2-6 daily. Get the charred cabbage, sounds weird but it's mouth watering and the fiber from the cruciferous vegetable will make you have to go in no time, in a good way of course
Let's start by saying AMAZING SERVICE! And then... AMAZING DRINKS and even more AMAZING FOOD! You MUST try this little gem. I love loved it and now I'm in trouble because I live 5 min away. The place is chill and inviting and you'll feel right at home.
I was looking for a somewhat nice restaurant to dine in for lunch, and found it. The restaurant has a great vibe, with attentive staff. There is plenty of seating, mostly indoors, but they also offer tables outdoors on the patio. I sat outside. I came during the week. Only a couple other parties dining. This restaurant most likely gets busier at night, on the weekends. I ordered a salad and Mac and cheese. The food was delicious. Staff were extremely attentive I felt like I was the only one in the restaurant. Parking: Plenty of free, shared parking with a couple other businesses.
This place has an awesome happy hour! Very reasonably priced. We tried all of the small plates they offered, which do change occasionally, so if you wanted to try a specific one, I recommend you go in sooner rather than later. The chilled Thai noodles were phenomenal. Very bright citrusy soy based sauce, complemented by mango and fresh herbs. Absolutely adored the charred cabbage. It was a bit more savory and unique. Packed full of flavored in every bite. The prosciutto and melon is very neutral to me. Nothing about it really stood out and I'm not a huge prosciutto lover myself so that makes sense for me. It was fresh though. I ordered two of their mocktails, and I wasn't terribly impressed but again I have yet to discover many mocktails in restaurants that I do like. The Mezcal Matcha drink is a must if you're drinking alcohol. Our server I believe was named Adrian and he was super helpful and personable. Overall, I would come back. I think our total bill was $60 which is kind of unheard of nowadays. It's attached to a cute little bookshop/coffee shop so you could make a whole day of visiting this place.

Went with friends for a going away brunch for a good friend couple heading to Canada. We were seated and greeted right away. Our server was super nice and helpful when deciding what to order. My only knock was the first Dutch baby came out raw in the middle and tasted like paste. Luckily the re-fired it and the second attempt was well executed. The rest of our table loved their food so I imagine mine was just a fluke and if we go back easily could give a 5 star. read more

came here at noon and there was no wait to be seated, the customer service was phenomenal from every employee, there's plenty of space indoors and out, our server T was amazing and very attentive, they have a good variety of food to pick from, this place is a little on the pricey side but your paying for good quality food and everything we ordered was delicious! definitely excited to come back and try more read more

Ive had breakfast here at least half a dozen times and every time it's been delicious. Today I was with friends and I had a glass of the fresh squeezed OJ (which was amazing, like candy almost) and the Banana Foster pancake. My friends had the Lox sandwich and Classic Cheeseburger. All three blew us away. The server(Rachel) was friendly and fast, even though she misspoke about the Lox being made in house it was still fantastic. The atmosphere has a casual but elevated vibe with great lighting and warm furnishings. Will definitely be back. read more

Food: I ordered the Asian salad and it was good but too much dressing which made it so that I couldn't finish it. Sweet potato was good. The Asian Pear upside down cake was also very good and unique. Service: great service! Everyone we encountered was awesome Drinks: I asked for a recommendation for a drink that wasn't very sweet and the server suggested the Pear Pressure. I had an absolutely lovely experience at Tesota and would go back anytime! The service was so great. Our waiter was really funny and patient with us as my friend and I were there to catch up and yap. The food was really fresh and flavorful! While the ceviche ended up being the tomato kind that I don't love, it was still really good. My friend's salad with salmon was phenomenal. The mocktail I had was also soooo good and actually felt refined. Tesota has an amazing, big patio that is nice and cool even in the summer. The whole restaurant is really open and just has a great vibe. I'll def be back. read more

This is a spot is a vibe!!! It has so many delicious dishes to try! Our server was fantastic and food came out quick and fresh. The bread and spread was one of the highlights and I would absolutely recommend this appetizer if you are planning on going!! read more

We had lots of good food tonight! Next time I would just stick with small plates/apps because they were all so yummy! The hummus, wings , and olive oil cake were my favorites things from the meal. The patio had a great ambiance and the weather was perfect for us. My only complaint was the service was a little on the slower side. After dinner we shopped in the cute book store next door. Definitely recommend for a good happy hour. read more

Went in to grab a bite with friends to celebrate a couple birthdays and had such a great experience. Lyric was such a beautiful young lady with amazing customer service! Truly the reason I'd come back again and again. She made our night feel extra special. The outdoor space is very spacious, which made it perfect for our group. The food was fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. You can really taste it in every bite and it definitely hits all the right taste buds. read more

We (party of 2 plus an infant in a stroller) came here for a late Sunday brunch, and this spot is genuinely fun, vibrant, and cool inside. The staff were friendly and helpful.. attentive without being overly engaging. The food was great overall, with two clear standouts: the Flapjack and the Breakfast Sandwich. The flapjack was everything I want in a classic pancake.. definitely better than my homemade ones and absolutely worth ordering out. The breakfast sandwich was equally impressive; it held together perfectly through every bite! The bread and the sandwich sauce were complimentary and enhanced the flavor without being overwhelming. I would absolutely return just for these two items. As for the others, the breakfast pizza was good but a little too rich and heavy for my personal brunch preference, though I can see it being perfect for someone else. The wedge salad was fresh and yummy, but next time I'd definitely get the dressing on the side as a few bites were overdressed. read more
