My favorite place for pizza in Phoenix. The mushroom truffle w/ pepperoni added is my go-to. Their gluten-free pizza is SO good and is Neapolitan style with a puffy crust and everything. As someone with celiac, I've never had an issue. Always get a charcuterie too. GF bread for that is now an up-charge. Haven't been in years, so this was news to me but it was fine. Still my favorite pizza spot in the area. Especially outside on the patio!

Cibo was so amazing! The best pizza and pasta I have ever had. I'll be thinking about our meal for a while. It was so good. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Thursday night. We arrived a few minutes before then and were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and the service was quick. We ordered the Rigatoni al Forno (baked sausage rigatoni), the pesto orecchiette with pine nuts and potatoes, and the Tartufata pizza (prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes, and mushrooms). Everything was so good. We were starving and ate everything. Definitely good sizes to share. The patio is so cute. I wish we would have eaten out there, but we weren't sure how hot it was going to be. Plenty of street parking around. I would imagine it could get difficult to find parking depending on the time of the day. We will absolutely be back if we are ever in Phoenix.

As a first time customer I highly recommend this restaurant. We were indoors most definitely will try outdoor patio seating. Service was beyond my expectation. Our waiter was very kind and patient, he offered great suggestions on appetizers and entrees. Always made sure we had refills on our beverages, overall experience 10/10. Environment was very lively, comfortable seating too.

Great service and an amazing find in downtown Phoenix! The pizzas are fantastic--perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful toppings--and the pastas are just as impressive. Everything we tried was delicious, and the quality really stands out. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area! This little gem is Perfect for a date night as well.

Cute spot with outdoor seating. Service was excellent thanks to Kimberly (amazing hostess), Carson (incredible server) and all who played a part in my experience. I had the calamari which was one of the best I've ever had. I had a side salad and the dinotte pizza. Soooooo yummy! Please be sure to get a side of Parmesan cheese and the spicy oil to drizzle and sprinkle over the pizza. Sooooooo good. I'm craving it now, but I'm back in Miami so I'll have to wait until my next visit.

Amazing food, great price, cool ambiance. Server joked that there was a free dessert and that something was included with our food and then said "just kidding" which was a bit strange but otherwise enjoyed our time... it happened multiple times The crust tho

My best friend and I are always looking for new places to try within the valley. We even keep a list! Cibo has been on the list for quite awhile and we finally gave it a try at the end of February. We doubled up on appetizers and went with the ciabatta garlic bread and the arancini. The arancini was unlike any I've tried before as it was meatless. I initially thought I'd miss the meat that's usually mixed in or atop arancini, but I did not. It was delicious and perfectly fried. We also really loved the garlic bread. It was everything garlic bread should be and was paired with a side of their rich marinara sauce. For our meal, we split the Margherita pizza. We were divided on if we should try a pizza or a pasta dish, but since pizza seemed to be what Cibo is known for, we went with that. The pizza was absolutely a good choice. The dough was incredible and the toppings were so robust and fresh. Since we were out celebrating my birthday, the folks at Cibo gave me a birthday crepe with a sparkler on top. It was so tasty and such a kind gesture. We were also really impressed by Cibo's service. Our server, Jamey, was attentive and helped guide us through our many questions about the menu items. We also really enjoyed sitting on their cozy patio--the weather was perfect that evening. I would not hesitate to return to Cibo in the future. Maybe we'll even try a pasta next time!

Salsiccia with spicy salame (4/5): Dough was soft and chewy but a bit too thick. Toppings were solid. Would've loved some char. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Stopped here for our final night's dinner in Phoenix. Originally we had a steakhouse picked out, but made a change and headed here with a 9:30pm reservation. Located in a residential type area, the restaurant is inside a former house with a large outdoor seating area. Outdoor twinkle lights frame the areas and make this a great option if you prefer to dine outside. We had an indoor booking and checked in - immediately sat. It took a few minutes to get served but once we did, it was almost like the meal was in overdrive. That's a good thing. We ordered a margherita pizza to start which - with no exaggeration, came out in 3 minutes. Freshly made and dropped off. It was very good - slight char on the crust but airy dough, tangy sauce, good cheese and the most crucial part- basil. Textbook execution. For my entree I went with the gnocchetti sorrentina - gnocchi with a tangy red sauce, basil, and cheese inside. This was very good - the cheese in the sauce stuck to the fork but the flavors were spot-on. As dessert, I went with the Nutella milkshake which was served in what I remember as a glass chalice that used to be in those cat food commercials. It was very good and rich. Would recommend this as a cozy spot with authentic and fresh food. Our waiter - big curly hair and a mask - was testing his stand up with us throughout the meal but was harmless and did a great job.

The best Italian in downtown by far. I've been coming here for years. Reservations encouraged! Feels so homey inside and has a charming patio. The food is impeccable. I had never tried the pasta here and boy was I missing out! The gnocchi we got the time was soooo good! I just love this place you cannot go wrong. Di Notte is a must!

My friend ordered the pasta and I had a truffle oil pizza that was delicious. Cannoli was good too. They have a nice outdoor space for that Italian vibe but it was a little warm out so we opted for indoor seating.

I adore this restaurant. It's so quaint and when the weather is nice I would recommend sitting outside under the trees and lights. Try to snag a reservation because they sometimes do have a wait. The food is amazing though! The pizza was so light and airy. We also ordered the Cannoncini which was the perfect way to end the meal. Will definitely be back!

An extra treat was that they have bottles of spicy oil on the tables, so I was able to enjoy the crusts by slathering them with the tasty oil as though they were breadsticks. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....

Come for the Lasagna, Not the Candlelight Romance…read more We came here for a birthday dinner because we wanted to try something new, and by the end of the meal I found myself with two very different opinions: The food? Excellent. The ambiance? Let's talk about it. First, the good. The food was genuinely delicious. This feels like the kind of family-owned Italian restaurant where the focus is on what's coming out of the kitchen rather than what's hanging on the walls. Everything tasted like comfort food should; warm, satisfying, and made by people who care about the recipes. The service was also very good. In fact, the cook came out during our meal to ask how everything was. I was happy to tell him the food was fantastic because it absolutely deserved the compliment. Now for the not-so-good. We arrived around 5:30 PM, and the dining room was so quiet I could hear dishes being washed in the back. Not "pleasantly quiet." More "did everyone else know something I didn't?" quiet. For most of the meal there was no music at all. Just silence and the occasional clink of kitchen activity. They eventually turned on some background music shortly before we left, but it was so low that it felt more like a suggestion than actual ambiance. The tables, chairs, and overall décor are perfectly fine, but this isn't the place I'd choose for a romantic date night, anniversary dinner, or a birthday celebration where you're looking for a special atmosphere. What it is, however, is a great place to bring your spouse, kids, parents, in-laws, or anyone who appreciates good Italian comfort food without needing a white tablecloth experience. My advice? Come for the food. The food is worth it. If you're chasing ambiance, maybe lower your expectations or plan for a later dinner. The atmosphere seemed to improve after 6:30 PM as more people arrived. Bottom line: fantastic food, friendly service, family-dinner vibes. Just don't expect Tuscany. Expect comfort, and you'll leave happy.
