If you are a fan of Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco and Tratto), you'll live Pane Bianco. There is a takeout room, and a cute vintage-inspired dining room. I am a huge fan of the "shabby" vintage look, and this place is right up my alley. I absolutely love the carved wood bar. The lemon chandelier makes me happy and I wish I had one. The menu is mostly sandwiches, salads and pizza. The pizza is either by the slice or focaccia pizza. I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order--everything we've ever ordered is delicious. The need here knocks my socks off--crispy and chewy and oh so yummy! We ordered a roast beef sandwich and a prosciutto sandwich. Both were served with an apple slaw. Everything was so delicious. Portions are very generous for a reasonable price. We left full bellies, a box of leftovers, and a bag of lemon cookies. That makes for a perfect lunch!!!
Visited Pane Bianco while in Phoenix. The atmosphere was rustic, casual, and authentic, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Living part-time in Arizona, I've found it can be a challenge to come across truly authentic Italian cuisine, which is why I really appreciate what Chris Bianco brings to the table. Chris is a good friend, and his strong Italian heritage and commitment to using the finest ingredients really shines through. Tried a few of their sandwiches, pizzas, and salads -- simple, honest, and full of flavor, exactly how Italian food should be. Marco (Chris' brother) is often on hand, adding a warm, personal touch that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a great spot for locals and a true taste of Italian craftsmanship -- absolutely worth many return visits. Saluti.
A great place to treat yourself with some upscale high quality ingredients and delicious food. I walked in (didn't order ahead) to place my to go order and the service was polite and helpful. I got the italian combo and prosciutto salad. They have a small area with olive oil and dry pasta and I couldn't resist to got a bottle of the olive oil. It was pricey but it's good! I will keep it for special occasions to use during home cooking. The sandwich and salad were bright with aromatic fresh ingredients and man they were good. Portion size could have def been for two people, I'm saving the rest for later tonight.
I had high hopes for this place. Maybe I should I order something else. We tried it for the first time. I would try it again but something else. We got the Tuna sandwich and it tasted more like sardines and was super super dry! Would not recommend. I got the Italian combo and the inside of the sandwich was great but the bread was sooooooo hard!! Cut the roof of your mouth hard. Very hard to eat. They both came with a cabbage salad on the side that was good Lastly my friend also got the side salad which seemed very plain but the dressing was very tasty kinda saved the lunch.
The original of the Pizzeria Bianco chain. Although I have seen this at The Row in DTLA, my first experience is at this Central Phoenix location during a work trip. We had an opportunity to meet Chris Bianco as well, which was how we learned this was the first location. Their lunch menu was really simple, and parking was not too bad. We got here right around when it opened, and there were already parties sitting at the tables. I ordered the pepperoni al taglio since one of my former bosses told me the pizza was amazing at the DTLA location. The portions of the food were really great for the price point. I ordered a second pepperoni al taglio as I was famished. The second one I ordered felt overbaked compared to the first one, unfortunately. They can get really busy in a matter of minutes. Service was friendly though not the fastest. It was a great lunch spot in the middle of the work day.
Absolutely incredible service and delicious food. Chris Bianco and his team are unparalleled. I would eat their calzones and mozzarella salad every week if I could!
Tried out Pane Bianco for a late Friday lunch excited to taste the highly rated focaccia bread. This restaurant is situated right next to Lux so parking is tight. I was able to snag some street parking but make sure you heed any signage. Pane Bianco is a casual indoor/outdoor restaurant and the winter weather was cause for the entry door to be pulled open. The climate was pleasant, but there were more than a few bugs buzzing around. We ordered the albacore tuna salad sandwich and the mozzarella sandwich. The foccacia was incredible - nicely toasted and flavorful. If I were to go again, I'd pass on the tuna. It was bland and overall missable. The mozzarella was as fresh as the bread but the prosciutto left something to be desired. Overall this a fun spot for a casual meal; it might be more of a takeout spot. If you'd rather make your own sandwich, you can purchase bread at the counter.

Nothing beats their fresh mozzarella sandwich served before 3pm. And trust me you'll always crave it after 3 and be disappointed haha. The focaccia bread is scrumptious and it has the right amount of cold thick mozzarella and tomato piled on. Wrapped in paper and aiming to please! You have to try it!! In over a decade, this recipe has only seemingly gotten tastier!
Pane Bianco is one of my go to sandwich places in the valley. Everything on the menu is great and they use fresh local ingredients which really shows in the quality of the food. I've eaten here for a sit down lunch or also a quick takeout but am always treated great by the staff. I'm looking forward to coming back here and trying something new off the menu!

If you haven't had the porchetta sandwich, you have never lived. This is my top 3 sandwiches in Phoenix. The creamy, cold, greens cuts through the richness of the pork. The sandwich is messy. Ask my extra napkins. read more
Really liked the food that we got. The square pizza (Al Taglio) was bomb and the green pizza was also really good. The bread on the sandwiches had the perfect chew to it and made the prime rib sandwich for me. I saw people just buying bread to go. I think it's advertised as a sandwich spot but I will remember the pizza! read more

Had an awesome experience at Pane Bianco. AJ took my order and couldn't have been more professional--he pointed me toward the pizza, and honestly, great call. They cranked it out fast, and the result was this gorgeous wood-fired pie with a bottom crust that honestly feels like something people dream about. I'm 100% coming back. The whole place just has this super welcoming, calm energy, and I knew the second I walked in that the food was gonna hit. read more

My Brother in law and Son did a quick little pizza tour of Phoenix. We went to 5 different places, and grabbed a slice from each. Pane Bianco ranked #3 of 5 on our tour. This is my sandwich spot. The sopressata with roasted red peppers and sharp provolone is the best sandwich in Phoenix. Today, we were here for pizza (I still got a sopressata sandwich to go, for dinner, lol). I got a slice of the NY plain cheese. I've had it before, many times at Pizzeria Bianco and once here at Pane. It's a simple slice, and I mean that in a good way. Really thin, crispy dough, some sauce and fresh mozzarella. Really tasty. So thin, you can probably eat a whole pie of this. Rated it 7.9 out of 10. Really good pizza, but don't skip the sandwiches! read more

Very Homey Ambience. Immediately greeted upon entry. It's a very small and quaint place but the food is and customer service is hospitable and amazing! Definitely will be back with a large group, as my first try is a solo act. I plan on getting a in-depth taste of the menu! read more

First time here was really impressed. Strangely, the chicken dish was the standout. Whatever they did to it was amazing, it somehow tasted like smoked ham, and came with delicious sides and sauces. A good value for the price. The pizza was good, maybe a bit dry for my taste? Light on the sauce. But that's me nitpicking. Would def return. read more
Everything I have eaten at Pane Bianco so far has been phenomenal. Food is simple, well sourced ingredients put together expertly, you can taste the natural flavor of every ingredient. Nothing is overpowering. I can't say I have had a bad item here, so if I were to recommend anything, it would be whatever sounds good to you when you go. They have a different market sandwich everyday. My favorites right now is their porchetta sandwich and any of their NY slices. read more

Solid sandwich option in Phoenix! I've enjoyed Pizzeria Bianco whenever I've went though the wait can be pretty long at times. Visiting Pane Bianco was a nice concept since it's aimed towards sandwiches and pizza by the slice in a faster takeout vibe. We got the italian combo and soppresata and both were amazing with the quality of meat, cheese and bread. Bread is super crusty and chewy and I was a big fan of the roasted red pepper on the soppresata and the pickled veggie like giardiniera on the Italian combo. Only quibbles here would be to maybe add some basil or balsamic vinegar as some bites were very meaty and cheesy which I did when I went home. Each sandwich came with a side of beans that was delicious and refreshing with the tomato and onion. Be prepared to park on the street as it's next to the popular cafe Lux Central. Def worth a visit! read more

I've been here a couple of times and enjoy it each time. Tuesdays market sandwich is my favorite. I wish I were able to order it on other days. I tried to prosciutto sandwich yesterday which was good as well, the fire roasted focaccia is to die for. I think my one complaint is the lack of customization and they appear to run out of things quickly. Yesterday I went at 11:40 and they were already out of the market sandwich and the tuna salad ( I believe they open at 11?) regardless, the door is amazing. The bread is amazing. And I continue to return :) read more
That was outstanding. I got in finally and tried some slices. I tried a N.Y. red slice and a Pepperoni Al Taglio. The sauce on the red slice was one of the most flavorful sauces i have ever had on a pizza. Delicious. The crust was ok. Crispy but almost paper thin. I feel reheated slices can wreak havoc on a pizza dough but good for what it was. I would have enjoyed a touch more salt in the dough. I'm a crust eater. The pepperoni was one of if not the best Sicilian/Grandma style pizza i have ever tried. So light and airy with a nice crispy crust and the sauce, cheese and pepperoni were the perfect amount of toppings just packed with flavor!!!!!! I will be back to try some sandwiches! That Italian is calling my name. read more
I've been following Mark Chaconne for awhile now on social media and have continuously been amazed by his and his team's creations, his joy and love for pastries, and what others have said about him. Recently, his pastries have been popping up in more coffee shops around the Valley, but it's been the chilled cakes that I've had my eyes set on to try. From what I know, these are only sold at his main kitchen and Pane Bianco, and finally I had some time to stop by the latter. They have a small fridge on the take out side of the restaurant that currently holds slices of the Boston cream pie cake, horchata tres leches, and the straccietella cheesecake. After a good 10 minutes of just staring into this little fridge trying to decide, I finally committed to a slice of the Boston and the horchata. Both were elegantly made - high quality ingredients, clean, straight layers, beautiful mirror glaze like finish on the former, and deep brown caramelized dulche de leche milk surrounding the latter. Additionally, both had a good cake crumb, and both were light and delicate. With all that said, however, prices seem a little steep to me at $11/slice (this is what I pay for cake slices at popular, well established San Diego and Los Angeles bakeries and cafes), and ultimately, I felt like more work went into these cakes than what could be tasted. Again, great structure but for example, with the Boston cream slice, I wish the diplomat cream contrasted more in flavor and texture from the surrounding cake layers, whether that be more vanilla flavor or a slightly stiffer/thicker softness, and with the Horchata slice, I just wish I could have tasted a little more Horchata. All in all, if you're curious about his chilled cakes, I would definitely still recommend trying them and forming your own opinion. Whether you like it or are a little more picky like I am, you'll be amazed by his passion for and sincerity in his baking. read more

I have been coming here for years, so this review is way overdue. I've been coming when this place was just a to-go sandwich place, but now they have expanded into a dine-in restaurant. You can still take to-go, but beware, if you enter through the to-go section and order from there, they let you know that they're not happy that you're going to sit down in the dining section. They need to make this more clear so that some people who don't know or are dining there for the first time will know which door to go through and where to wait. This is one of the restaurants by Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco. This particular location is a casual place where you can get pretty good sandwiches and sample some of the pizzas by the slices. Their bread, wood fired focaccia, is the highlight here so anything you get on their sandwiches will be pretty tasty. I love their soppressata sandwich and their albacore tuna sandwich is awesome with raisins and balsamic dressed arugula! Pizzas are good pretty decent too. This last time I was there we ordered their rice pudding and it was just ok. So skip the dessert and get their sandwiches! Vibe is casual and good place to meet people for lunch and business lunch will work as well since it's pretty quiet and not too loud. Chris Bianco's brother makes a round when it's not too busy and he's pretty friendly. read more
