We've become very selective of our pizza spots and pride ourselves in finding the best pizza in the various areas we are in. After poring over reviews on Yelp and other platforms, we found Federal Pizza. We were quickly seated and greeted by the best server ever--Frank. Our meal was literally perfect from drink to salad to pizza to dessert. This pizza was amazing and wings too -- I was really impressed! We were visiting from out of town, so this was our first (and only) visit, but if I'm ever back in Phoenix, this spot will absolutely be a must-stop if pizza is on the menu. Our waiter was personable, helpful, and very attentive, which made the experience even better. We came with a group of 4 adults and 5 kids, so things got a little loud at times, but it didn't feel like an issue at all. The restaurant had a lively, spacious atmosphere that made it comfortable for families. The only hiccup was that our table was extremely wobbly -- even after attempts to fix it -- and my husband ended up adjusting it himself so we could sit comfortably. Federal Pizza was a great first-time experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and received exceptional service from the bar staff. They took the time to explain the menu, recommend several pizzas, offer wine samples, and share information about the restaurant and happy hour specials, which made me feel welcome right away. The Big Star Pizza was excellent--loaded with fresh, flavorful ingredients and served on a crispy, buttery crust. I also sampled the Arancini appetizer, which is similar to fried risotto served with tomato sauce. It was a unique dish and just as delicious as the pizza. My food arrived promptly, and the quality exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was clean, the restrooms were spotless, and the atmosphere was energetic and inviting. If I could change anything, it would be the volume of the music, which occasionally made it difficult to hear while ordering. The only challenge came later in the meal when the bar area became very busy. A guest seated next to me was waiting for his companion to take my seat and sternly requested that I hurry up and finish my meal. Around the same time, members of the waitstaff began clearing dishes while I was still eating and drinking my beverage. I'm not sure if they were simply staying on top of bussing tables during a busy period, but combined with the guests waiting for seats, it made me feel somewhat rushed. While I understand the restaurant was busy and there was a wait for bar seating, I would have preferred a little more time to relax and enjoy the remainder of my meal and cocktail. Overall, the food and service were outstanding. The bar staff's hospitality, menu knowledge, and recommendations helped make my first visit memorable. Love the vintage vibe here! Great oldies are always playing overhead and the pizza is unique and delicious! I have been here a couple of times now and both times have been consistently yummy! I love coming here and getting the pepperoni pizza. I do wish they had stuffed crust but other than that this place is amazing. The drive-through feature is also really convenient especially when it's super hot or I have my dog with me. I actually really love walking the neighborhood it's in and like to walk my dog there when he's with me. One of the best menu items is the banana pudding you have to get it! it's a little pricey to come here, but the quality of the food makes up for it. read more

I've been a few times to Federal. This time around I got the lunch special (half pizza & half salad) and it was good, nothing special. However, I got a regular margarita and it was CLEAR. Typically I wouldn't complain for a strong drink but from a full service bar and restaurant, I was disappointed. The bartender was also very rude when delivering the drinks. My friend got a vodka soda and the bartender asked a small or tall glass and my friend said " surprise me" and the bartender said " well pick one." There's plenty of seating here on a Saturday morning at 11:30 when they open. I tried the ham and pineapple pizza and it was amazing! I really liked their house iced tea as well. I was so excited to eat my pizza that I actually forgot to take a picture of it, dang it. I stopped by to get some dinner to go at Federal Pizza and this place is so yummy! Every time I stop by it is pretty busy! The service is always good! The ambiance in here is also nice, a good vibe for sure. I ordered the cheesy garlic bread and this is so delicious! It comes with Arrabiata sauce which tastes like a spicy marinara, it's pretty good! I like to also dip it in their ranch, their ranch is pretty darn good! I also ordered the Margherita Pizza and YUM! This is my favorite pizza from them. I get it every time! I also got a pizza half pepperoni and half sausage and this was delicious as well. I got their buffalo federal wings and these were also good! To end things off I got their Bombolini dessert and it comes with chocolate and caramel sauce but I personally like the chocolate better and ask for double chocolate instead of getting one caramel. We were wanting some good pizza to go and finally decided to give Federal Pizza a try. I LOVE they have a drive thru. We called in our order and employees were super friendly. We got a mushroom pizza and it was ready on time. Let me tell you, this was the best pizza we've had in a long time. They have specials that you can enjoy (the double down) & (pie pour), seating on the outside, a nice bar, clean bathroom (women) and the ambiance was on point. Since we did have a large group, the chair seating was kind of tight but the benches had no issues. Our waiter was pleasant, food was delivered on time and my wings were saucy, not dried out and fried to perfection. There is ample parking especially with another restaurant near and on a weekend. If you don't want to park, you also have the option of a drive thru. Inside temp was comfortable even with the back door open leading to the patio. This is a great place to have lunch or a family gathering. There were some families with strollers and they had no issues with space on the patio which is covered. Now I know they can take a while but why was my food delivered 30 minutes before his (might even be underestimating) people who came in after us ordered, got their food and left all before we got his pizza. The server seemed as if she didn't want to help us. I ordered a sprite and it was FLAT, I asked if I could switch it for a coke because it was flat. She picks it off the table and doesn't say a word. The coke was still flat but I just left it alone. After that she wouldn't even look at me only speaking to my husband like if I had pissed her off.
