Stopped by Stumpy's for a pizza to go. There was a lot of employees working and all looked so happy and like they genuinely loved their jobs. Customer service was quick and friendly. We got an extra mushroom pizza and most places are so skimpy with toppings I figured Stumpys would be too. No! They really gave us extra mushrooms and the pizza was so tasty!! The crust was crispy at the bottom as it should be and the sauce was flavorful. We will definitely be back to get another pizza and try their other foods offered!

The butcher pizza with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon and salami.

Stumpy's was brought to my attention by a friend. He swore the sandwiches are delicious and the pizza slices are flying out the door during the lunch service. Although a small space, this place has a constant flow of hungry patrons. The 6-7 tables are crowded but the take service is booming. We ordered the large butcher pizza with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, salami and sausage. It was hard to see the crust due to the more than generous quantities of toppings. I have never had a pizza stacked with more ingredients. The dough was nicely cooked with the perfect chew. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. If you are looking for a new pizza joint with a very good product, friendly staff and bold flavors, give Stumpy's a call. Don't judge by the location or the small interior, rather save your thought for the pizza they are providing the public.

I have been hearing about this place, so I decided to stop in today and check it out. It is a smaller place but very homely and great smelling aroma. The counter and kitchen are attached and you have to walk up to counter to order. Seating is limited but available (we walked in with a big party and all found sitting). We ordered the lunch special 2 slices with pepperoni's and a drink, and a dozen wings mild. The pizza was fast the wings took about 20 minutes, everything was made fresh as you order. Everything we ate was really good and fresh. If given the chance you should stop in and give it a try.

3.5 Stars. My Brother in law and Son did a quick little pizza tour of Phoenix. We went to 5 different places, and grabbed a slice from each. Stumpy's ranked #4 of 5 on our tour. Went with a slice of cheese to split with my Son. Wasn't sure how full we would be, and had more spots to go to. Probably could have had my own slice. Small place, friendly workers! How was the slice? Eh, it was ok. Gave it a 6.9 out of 10. Thin, gooey cheese, minimal crust and the crust had no chew and tasted plain jane. My Brother in law got a slice of pepperoni/pineapple. He thought it was just ok, also. If I lived close to this place, I would try it again, and order something with more toppings. The pizzas around us looked pretty good! The cheese was very basic and that's all I have to judge this spot by.

When your tummy feeling grumpy, do your Yelpstar self a favor; get your big booty into STUMPY'S! Flew into Phoenix airport and got stuck in the rental car line for hours, which blew our lunch plans. Luckily we had an appointment for Pedicures at Pretty Little Nails. As I walked into the nail joint I saw Stumpy's pizza next door! Two five star birds with one stone! Pulled up Stumpy's on Yelp and saw they had some legit Yelp scores. I was so hungry so I had to place an online order before they closed. Ordered up one small butcher pizza, and one hot Italian sub please! Super 2024 legit pizza my friends. Toppings, crust, was on point! I'll be back!

    Artichoke and mushroom. So delicious!!

Recently stopped off here for lunch with coworkers. Love the inside, it's small but fun and cozy. The staff was so friendly. I ended up getting their pizza slice combo, which great price btw. The slices were large and they did not skimp on the toppings, which I appreciate! It was really delicious thin crust pizza. My coworkers who got some subs said they were delicious as well. Definitely will be coming back to try more!

I saw the question about taking bake at home from two years ago. Is this still valid because I live kind of far from you guys and I was wondering if I could order pizza especially the pizza and bring it home and then bake it.…

Yes, we suggest to just don’t get it cut and when you get home put in a 350 degree oven to heat it up and it will be crispy on the bottom.

There is Take n Bake pizza pie available????? What else can I take home to bake?! Fabulous idea.

The first thing that stands out is the massive, beautifully maintained outdoor seating area. It's covered, pet-friendly, and thoughtfully designed with fireplaces and privacy walls that give each table a more intimate feel. There's even an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, the décor is incredibly creative. Butcher knives and custom cutting boards line the walls, and the open kitchen showcases hanging meats so you can see everything in action. The bakery area adds another layer of charm, with rolling pins and whisks hanging from the ceiling, it all feels intentional and immersive without being over the top. The menu is just as fun and different as the space itself. I started with the Sicilian wedge and then had to go for what they're known for, the handcrafted meatballs. You can mix and match meatballs with different pastas, but the real showstopper is the "meatball carousel." It lets you sample multiple meatballs with their recommended sauces, all presented on an elaborate Ferris wheel-style display that turns heads across the restaurant. It's a full experience, not just a meal. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly made the night, though, was our server, Mia. She struck that perfect balance of fun and professional, engaging, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. She guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and brought a level of energy that elevated the entire experience. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. For dessert, we went with the traditional Sicilian cannoli stuffed with Nutella and a lemon tart that was so good I'd honestly consider flying back just to have it again. This place delivers on every level, atmosphere, creativity, food, and service. I'll absolutely be making this a regular stop anytime I'm in Phoenix.

The only thing I was bummed about is that I love their marinara so much that I wanted to get the rigatoni with marinara as my side. However, they don't allow you to sub the sauce. It came with vodka sauce and I'm not a fan of that, so I opted for the side salad. Wish they'd allow you to sub the sauce. After dinner, we went next door to the Sicilian Baker and ordered an array of treats. Their tiramisu is a must! I've had it twice now and it's some of the best tiramisu I've had (topping even slices I've had in Rome!). The girls helping us were Riley and Tatum and they were very helpful. Even gave us some free mini cannolis. Yum!

The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. The wine-by-the-glass list is solid and approachable, and the many awards feel well deserved overall. A diverse staff adds to the cosmopolitan yet relaxed atmosphere. Even with the misstep, Cibo holds its place as one of the better all-around dining experiences downtown.

There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
