I always love coming here especially this location because they seem to be the only one serving the Black Mediterranean mussels which is a must for me. I don't know why the other locations don't offer this as an option. Im not sure when they changed their Italian Farm salad to the Italian Cobb Salad but its very similar and still delicious and refreshing. This has some zucchini, green olives, sun dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, salami of a couple sorts, different cheeses, pistachio mortadella, mixed greens and oregano vinaigrette. I always go for the Roasted Salmon as it's a perfect balance of colors and taste. There were mixed in cauliflower and a bit of broccolini. I would definitely love to have more broccolini though. I ordered this as part of the summer menu which it comes with a choice of their daily soup (which was a creamy chicken soup on a Saturday), Sicilian meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Simple Salad or Charcuterie plate. I went with the charcuterie plate which had a array of foccicia bread, pitted green olives in an olive mix of rosemary or thyme theme taste, sweetened figs over a soft cheese spread, pecorino cheese I think, candied nuts, a jalapeño forward pickled veggies such as carrots, cauliflower, prosciutto, speck (another type of prosciutto). Other dishes were kids Alfredo pasta, Margherita pizza and the ricotta cavatelli which has lump crab meat and shrimp, mint and lemon olive. Our server was absolutely 100 percent as well as the rest of the staff. This place used to do valet but when we came for lunch there was no valet which I appreciated as the lot is just a regular private parking. This still has the same set up as it was 10 years ago or so with the barnyard type of structure and an open kitchen. Oh how I missed coming to this specific location. I'm ready to eat here again! read more

I want to start off by saying the hostess was really what made my experience fantastic! I originally wanted to go here for a dating event, but unfortunately it was sold out so I asked the hostess if I could sit around the area the dating event was located at and she asked me if I wanted to sit with them, I opted not to, but it was still a nice gesture. The server gave great recommendations, especially when we were in between different menu items. We were also so grateful that they were able to put certain items of the dish on the side depended upon our preferences. Unfortunately, there was a girl who walked by who was very sick and we had to endure the experience, but management asked if we wanted to be reseated which we appreciated. The food here is always so amazing especially if you're a gluten-free girl the gluten-free noodles pair very well with the pastas in my opinion. Lastly, right now they have a banana butter cake and that is probably the best thing on their dessert menu! So tasty, just the right amount of banana and crispy on the outside! read more

North Italia was so good! We started with the Italian meatballs, and they were amazing. The creamy polenta they come with pairs so well with the meatballs and was definitely one of my favorite parts. For pasta, we tried the strozzapreti and the bolognese, and both were delicious choices. Everything was flavorful and well done. I love that they make their pasta in house. I definitely want to come back and try the lasagna next time! read more

This restaurant has been in business for a very long time. We entered and were greeted by a friendly employee who took us to our table. I had eaten breakfast earlier and wasn't that hungry. I asked if there was a small salad on the menu and he said don't worry I'll take care of it. We ordered pizza and salad and lots if different pasta. Omg the salad they made for me was the best salad of my life. It was amazing. I have to say all the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant for service and food. It's great looking and authentic inside. You will not be disappointed. read more

We ordered two pastas, one salad, and one garlic bread. The heirloom beet & chicken salad was very good, the amount of chicken was generous, and the beets were a little sweet, combined well with their red wine vinaigrette. The white truffle garlic bread was my favorite dish , so garlicy and the bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, so good. For the pasta, we liked the flavor of both pasta, especially trottole chicken pesto, the pesto was so good! But the only downside of the those two dishes was they were not al dente, the pasta itself was too soft, it should be cooked firm to the bit, offering slight resistance in the center. Other than that, overall we had good time and will be back to try their pizza. read more

Little did I know that North Italia is a restaurant chain but on the higher class. One way you can tell right away North Italia is one of the few chain restaurants which offer free valet parking (tips optional) The restaurant ambiance inside and out is the bomb and dinning here for sure makes you feel special, imho. Food and drinks are great and the service is always friendly! Bon Appetit. read more

We've been to North Italia near the ASU Campus and decided to hit the Scottsdale location. Loved both! Service, food and ambiance are identical and amazing! It's my humble opinion that you can't go wrong with North. Great as a date night destination, a business dinner or hanging with some friends. On a scale of 1 - 10, if you haven't been, go! Oh, and get the garlic whipped butter bread app....you won't regret it ;) read more

We visited another time for my husbands birthday. The atmosphere is incredible, the outside patio is beautiful. The servers are so friendly, the food is delish! The pasta is handmade, the sauces are cooked to perfection. They get their bread delivered from a local bakery which is rustic and supportive of our community. If you go, you have got to get the white truffle garlic bread. You're welcome. The bread is so light, airy and still holds an amazing crunch factor. Their truffle butter is whipped and light and so flavorful. My husband loved their bolognese, and their spicy vodka rigatoni was delicious. Our son of course ordered the pepperoni pizza, not on the menu but definitely something they're able to accommodate for kids. The crust on the pizza is so delicious! During our visit, since it was my husband's birthday, we were so pleased to have a dessert delivered to our table with a candle to sing! (You don't have to sing, they won't hang around and sing to you which some people prefer. We don't mind either way, but it is nice that it's not a tradition or anything especially because our son hates being sang to on his birthday. We love this restaurant and can't wait to visit again! A true keeper! read more

A cute date night spot when you're in the mood for Italian. The inside is pretty open and spacious, you can see the kitchen area from wherever you are sitting and they have a patio as well. This is probably my favorite restaurant chain, because it doesn't seem like a chain at all, and it's good in every city ! Their homemade pasta is incredible and my three favorite dishes are: the chicken Parmesan, which they serve next to pasta Alfredo sauce. I even ask them to switch out the Alfredo for their caccio Pepe sauce because it's also top tier ! My third favorite dish there is the spicy vodka rigatoni. Additionally, their pizza is delicious and I personally love the margarita pizza. The wine I recommend is the Iconoclast read more

I was a bit skeptical when it came to visiting North Italia since I'm not really a huge fan of chain restaurants or restaurants that feel like chains lol. But, they provided a stellar experience from start to finish!! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. :) Our server (who's name I wasn't able to catch) was so wonderful!! He was so helpful in providing recommendations when it came to appetizers, pastas, and wines. I ordered their chicken pesto pasta and it was SOOOO good. I kept thinking about it when I was headed back home to California and even tried replicating it when I got back lol. There's something about those crispy capers paired with crunchy pine nuts that made that pasta so good! Special mention for the fun pasta shape too lol. It was perfectly al dente and the sauce itself was amazing too. My other favorite item was the cacio e pepe arancini! I've never had arancini prior to this, but I'll definitely be looking out for it whenever I'm out for Italian food. They provide a great yet slightly casual vibe; perfect for a date night or just a delicious dinner! :) read more

North Italia maintains a sleek, modern dining experience with the utmost quality control. No matter the location, I have been impressed with their dishes, their service, and their atmosphere. For myself, I ordered: Spicy Rigatoni Vodka: a fantastic pasta dish that seamlessly blends cheesiness with the tartness of probably tomato(?) as well as a very mild spice kick that can be tolerated by anyone. Roman Holiday (cocktail): a sweet, light alcoholic beverage Gelato: creamy, has consistency more of ice cream, got a caramel-like flavor that rounded out my pleasant experience Overall, a great restaurant to bring family or events. I will say, for this specific location, its parking is absolutely horrendous! Valet is a must, and I'm not really sure how much available parking they have...it doesn't look like much. read more

Great Italian food on a Friday night? Check out North Italia! They definitely get busy, so reservations are definitely recommended. This particular location has valet parking, but the lot is pretty small so plan accordingly. Their pizzas are great, their lasagna is really good too. Their tiramisu is also really great! The staff were all really nice. Katja was our lovely tall brunette server and was wonderful. She took great care of us and made some great food suggestions as well. Ambiance: beautiful patio space with greenery. The street is a little busy but I feel like it's not distracting with the noise or anything from the cars Parking: they have a free valet service since they have a small lot. Very convenient and the valet gentleman was so nice. Service: prompt and helpful service. Good recommendations from the waitress Food: excellent. Rarely do I eat food so good that I'll think about the meal in the future but I'm going to be thinking about this tiramisu and the little crunchy chocolates on top. I also had the strozzapreti on the waitress's suggestion with a reisling and I was very happy with the pasta. I'll be honest that I missed lunch today so I came to EAT and the strozzapreti was the perfect size for my big appetite. The only con I found was that my wine glass was actually a little dirty, and I am notoriously bad at telling wait staff about stuff like that because if it's not egregious then I prefer to just deal with it, but I'm sure they would have been happy to get me another glass. read more

Great weekday lunch special! The arancini were perfectly crispy, and the sauce was delicious on both them and the meatballs. I absolutely love this place! North Italia in Arcadia has become one of my go-to spots when I'm craving pasta. I could probably eat their Spicy Vodka Pasta every single day. It's rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. The service is always top-notch. The servers are friendly, attentive, and consistent every time I visit. The location is super cute, tucked into a charming area that feels lively but not too busy. If you get the chance, definitely sit on the patio! It's the perfect spot when the weather is nice. Relaxed and great for people-watching. Yes, it's a little pricey for pasta, but honestly, it's so worth it for the quality (they make their pasta in house), vibe, and overall experience! read more

I LOVE North! One of my FAVORITE Italian spots ever!! I literally crave it at least once a week, like it's actually a problem I'm obsessed with their pesto pasta and the spicy rigatoni... both are sooo flavorful and always hit. They have the right amount of cream And don't even get me started on the hot honey pizza TO. DIE. FOR. The calamari is also my go-to appetizer, it never misses. Staff is always super nice and on top of everything, which just makes the whole experience even better. The ambiance is cute inside and open kitchen consept. All around a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant is designed like a large barn house with a high ceiling, many windows, and nice decor. There are many different seating options for any occasion including a large open space of tables, booths, a bar, and a patio. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. The kale salad was light, flavorful, and an immaculate ratio of components. The spicy vodka rigatoni was well executed and the noodles were a great level of al dente. The scallops were delicious, although I would have cared for a little less butter and didn't feel the bacon was necessary with the crispy onions. Overall, had a wonderful time dining here. read more

Visited this place based on the great reviews on Yelp for this place while staying in Tempe and really disappointed I did. I didn't even take a picture but I had the seared scallops with corn risotto and let me say it was a disappointment. The scallops were good but only got 3 on my plate. Then for the risotto it was more like corn and what tasted like peas more so than risotto and probably one of the worst risottos I've tried. The server was good and engaging and helpful. Other than this the food was way below what others are rating this restaurant. As for the ambiance it's a cool upbeat and very casual but nice atmosphere. I wouldn't come back. read more

Try the crushed meatball ragu over vegetable noodles. Heavenly. You'll have leftovers. Mocktails are good too.

We were celebrating the graduation of a friend who graduated from firefighting Academy and we had a reservation here early in the evening at 5:30 PM. Everyone was very gracious when we arrived and we were seated very quickly. The server was super attentive with drinks and such, and took our orders. It took an extremely long time for our orders to come out, the manager came over and brought us bread and dipping oil to tide us over. When the meals arrived, everything was very tasty, however, two of the meals were served lukewarm at best. The server apologized and she did comp those two meals, but the kids were super hungry and ate it anyway. My husband and I shared a margarita pizza and the salad and both were fabulous. I believe the Parmesan fairy dust. They sprinkle on the crust just makes it taste exceptional, so definitely consider the pizza if you come here. I will say, I found it difficult to find a meal that fit within my health restrictions, if you look at their nutritional PDF, the calorie count is very high as well as high sodium and almost everything. So just be aware of that. The lowest calorie entree on the menu is the Branzino- and how you had an Italian restaurant see you can't expect it to be healthy right? This place is super popular and by the time we were finished at 7:30 PM, the entire entryway was packed with people as well as the valet cars were out into the street. My own personal opinion is that the reason the meals take so long is they have a very healthy Digital ordering program happening and they're doing everything from the same location. There is an entire area right in the front of the dining room that is packed with bags awaiting pick up. It seems if they separated out this business a bit and perhaps had a dedicated team simply working on those orders, the meals in the restaurant could be prioritized. I'm no restaurant expert, but watching it for two hours Really seem to indicate that's part of the problem. The staff were super friendly and we would definitely be back on perhaps a weekday lunch where it isn't so busy read more

Dined here Sunday afternoon on Father's Day. Valet (unnecessary) and annoying as there's plenty of space to park ourselves. We were greeted by a young lady who doesn't enjoy her job and doesn't like people (I said goodbye to her on our way out and she barely acknowledged me). It wasn't very busy at all so I was super excited as we were hungry! Ordered 2 Tito's Bloody Mary's and a glass of champagne with 3 waters. Instead of bringing us water (107 degrees outside) we waited for him to talk to his coworkers in the far corner of the restaurant for 10 minutes and then stood at the bar talking to the bartender while holding and spitting all over our two drinks while she poured the champagne. We also ordered bread and olive oil which took FOREVER! There were only 4/5 other parties at most in the entire restaurant. We then ordered 3 salads, pasta and pizza. All delicious but super super slow service. Every time this server approached our table he'd talk all over our food, reaching for glasses and plates. It was disappointing. They need to train their servers to not speak while food is in front of them. Come on people. Probably won't revisit this location but the food and location in Washington DC was excellent! read more

I really love North, it's a great place for a special occasion as it is a little pricey. The atmosphere is relaxing and open - and the service is always great. I have ordered so many things here: The Farm Salad, the Pig Pizza and the Bolognese are usually my staple orders (they are all amazing), but tonight I got the short ribs. It was very rich and very good! The meat was super tender and the risotto was buttery and the snap peas gave a needed texture and brightness. Now the hard part - I used to literally come here for the Julietta cocktail which they don't have anymore. They made me something similar that was also really good but not quite as good as the original which is a bummer. I also tried the Caio Bella and I personally didn't like it much. read more

I've been before, but they must have a new chef and new servers, but that doesn't surprise me. The menu was ok. The breakfast menu looked more enticing, (but breakfast menu isn't aoffered after 12 :00 I believe. But the lunch menu may be the same for dinner... pretty heavy stuff for Phoenix in the Summer. Two of us ordered the Mussels in broth. When the server told us they bring the mussels in weekly, we both said oh, thanks but no thanks we'll select something else and she came back and told us they came in daily. They were pretty small mussels, in a warm awful broth. We both ate some of the mussels and left the broth and that awful tasting bread that was not just plain bread. What a disappointing meal. I used to like it, it was quite busy. but it also was exceedingly noisy. Definitely not returning. read more

We all had something different and everyone kept bragging how wonderful the food was. I started with the shrimp scampi and they were hugh and so fresh. I ate every bite before I even took a picture it was that great. Then I had the short rib and omg it melted in your mouth. Everyone at the table loved what they had. Then ended dinner with the hazelnut torte. This was the only item that I was not crazy about. The Gelato was almost melted even though we got it on the side. So this is my only complaint. Wow! Flavors to die for. There are a number of Italian restaurants in Phoenix but this one should always be in the top three for tasty dishes. We had a reservation for five on a Monday evening at 6:15 pm and when we arrived the place was very busy with only a couple of empty tables. We were seated immediately and we were able to order drinks and appetizers as well. We ordered bread with "good" olive oil and glazed beets for the table. They were excellent. I ordered the squid ink tonnarelli which was mouth-wateringly wonderful. Last time I ate squid ink pasta was in Venice, Italy. This was much better. We had some very nice wine, Iconoclast cab and finished the meal with bombolini, also an excellent choice. The whole dining experience was a collection of positive superlatives. The parking lot is valet-only but the valets were fast and that made our experience even better. Our waitress/person was knowledgeable and helpful and our food arrived just when it should have done. The restaurant had a trendy feel to it even though there were a number of family groups there. It also looks like a place where a first date is often taken. There is a nice bar with a tv, if you just want to chill. I will definitely be back. read more
